I'm came into this restaurant without knowing it is vegan, just because I liked the pictures I saw on Google. It then became one of my favorite restaurants! I loved the combination of flavors and textures, all the wonderful sauces. Not to mention the cozy atmosphere. 10/10 would go back every week!

We had a wonderful meal on the terrace! What a relief that everything is vegan, so you can choose anything. Our favorite was the BBQ cauliflower—fantastic!

As a culinary carnivore, I had pretty high expectations given the reviews of this restaurant. These expectations were more than exceeded. What delicious food and fantastic paintings on the plates! I'm reconsidering my opinion that vegan food isn't tasty. On the contrary, conjuring up so much flavor on your plate with limited resources, while also looking so beautiful, is a testament to the minister's skill in her kitchen. Combined with excellent wines, refreshing Cape beers, and a view from the terrace over the historic canal where this old warehouse is located, this carnivore is completely converted, making this his second restaurant in Zoetermeer after Hofstede Meerzigt. Bo&Ro is at number three.

Love, love, love! I'm not vegan myself, but I'd heard so many good things about this restaurant that, as a true foodie, I simply had to go. We went with two friends, and wow, what a cute and aesthetically decorated place! We started out enjoying the terrace, but as soon as the first raindrops fell, we were immediately given a cozy table inside. The cocktails and dishes were truly fantastic, so much flavor! And I'm not talking about salt or pepper, but that perfect umami... that deep, full flavor you rarely taste these days. The staff was incredibly sweet and attentive. Everything went smoothly: no rush, no slowness, just served at exactly the right time. And that on a busy Saturday night!

Be warned. Contrary to what we'd come to expect from the people behind the Ministry of Happiness, our recent visit to the restaurant was a disappointment. I drove all the way from the north of the Netherlands to Zoetermeer to celebrate my birthday, and instead of fried cauliflower (called Bloemelings), we were given fried batter. The portion was halved, but the price was still the same. When I mentioned this, the employee, who was probably on his first week on the job, said it was perfectly possible, but there was no satisfactory response or way to resolve the issue. We were asked four times if we wanted to order anything else, which I was glad I hadn't. I ordered a second portion, and miraculously, something we'd been served for years arrived. We feel cheated. I didn't mention this at checkout, but I did mention that we were going to have our main course elsewhere because both the service and the meal were disappointing. The reaction of the relatively young staff spoke volumes: complete disinterest. For good vegan options, it's better to visit the Syrian restaurant around the corner. It's a world of difference. Very friendly, service/customer-focused, and amazing meals!! See photos for comparison.

A delicious experience unlike anything you'd normally eat. Friendly and attentive service. I never knew this place could offer such a unique taste experience. Well worth it, and the menu changes regularly, so you'll find even more flavors.

What a great place! We celebrated our 'Samen 100 party' at the Ministerie van Geluk in Zoetermeer and everything was perfect. The cozy location is not only perfect for a nice meal, but also fantastic for a party. The atmosphere was relaxed and festive, exactly as we hoped. The staff certainly contributed to that - super friendly and helpful. Our guests were all enthusiastic about the atmosphere and the delicious varied food, even those who were a bit hesitant about vegan food! An absolute must, not only for tofu lovers 😉 but for everyone who has something to celebrate!

Fabulous place to eat, if you don't mind to wait. The waitress was lovely and attentive, but it's an extremely busy and chockful place. Food was delicious. We booked for 7, got our food at 8:30. But it was worth the wait. There are games you can play if you bored. It would have been nice to have some bread sticks or pieces of bread to help pass the time. First, but not the last time we visit. 2nd visit: fantastic, friendly service. Fabulous food, if you like vegan. Can't wait to go back

I am not a vegetarian but this place offers delicious combinations for all . Very creative plates ,excellent sauces ,nice atmosphere,very kind personnel.Pure 5/5 .

Very cozy and very friendly staff. I had never eaten in a vegan restaurant before and had my reservations. But it was perfect! We chose shared dining and were surprised. That was a good choice! Delicious and special flavors. Much is also gluten-free.

On a Saturday, it took them 2 hours to take the order and deliver it. Soft drinks are expensive and small. we left still hungry. The meals are small and expensive. The place is too tight and the water is freezing in the toilet.

It was really fantastic food for such a price, a great example that vegan food can also be incredibly tasty, not normal! Service was super friendly and it didn't take long for them to come to our table. Finally, the atmosphere was really nice and cozy. Beautiful original cutlery too, it immediately makes you happy! Will make a reservation again soon, already miss that wonderful atmosphere and flavors there.

Cosy, atmospheric restaurant with fun, creative vegan dishes with an original layout! Dishes taste good. We had the boeuf bourgignon and the happy saloon, wonderfully autumnal! The dessert platter including gingerbread tiramisu and warm apple nachos were a good ending. Highly recommended!

Had dinner here last week with my husband and parents-in-law. Staff are super friendly. Food was quite a disappointment for us. The bread was fine, the beet tartare way too spicy, as if it was necessary to disguise the fact that it wasn't real meat. The pancake was tasty. The bavette did not look like bavette, but like steak, which is a shame. Here too, we stuff a lot of chili in it, so that it can disguise the taste. The snack was mealy and it was difficult to find the measly pieces of swarma. Good concept, shame about the execution.

Ministerie van Geluk is one of the BEST RESTAURANTS EVER and very aptly named - as soon as you walk in the door, you're greeted with big smiles from all of the staff. The decoration of the restaurant is cute and mismatched, I assume mostly vintage and thrifted, and it feels like you're sitting in someone's cozy living room. Our highlights were the beet tartare, the duck pancake, and the gyoza. For dessert, the pandan cake roll was amazing. Highhhhly recommend! We were so pleasantly surprised with the attentiveness and kindness of the staff, the warmth of the atmosphere, and the quality of the food. I must say that in all my years of the living in the Netherlands, it's only a handful of times that I've had such kind service at a restaurant. We will definitely be coming back! Thank you so much!

We came spontaneously and without a reservation, were greeted very friendly and were allowed to choose a table. The food was really exceptionally good and the waitresses were very attentive and friendly. It's a shame that we were only in the area on vacation. I would like to have this restaurant in our home too. We'd love to come back if the opportunity arises!

Last Saturday I went out for dinner for the first time since September 1 because I have been eating vegan since that date. And I was quite apprehensive about that because my own plant-based dishes have had varying degrees of success. There is a medical reason why I started eating vegan. By this I mean that not everyone has limiting animal suffering as a decisive motivation (although it is a nice side effect). The main message of this review is that plant-based food can be very tasty (proven by the Ministry of Happiness), that the ministry attaches great importance to hospitality and that the service is completely pleasant. And for the whiners about vegan; Now I don't have a clear idea of ​​what a "tofukut" should look like, but I haven't found anyone who makes such an association in my mind. Oh yes, I would like to explain 4 stars for the atmosphere; If you reprint the menu every now and then, it will look a little less "grubby" ;-)

Forget the vegan labels etc. This restaurant offers original, very tasty and varied dishes. The ambience is delightful, the service professional and friendly. Justifies a detour, if not a longer journey. Two to three visits are recommended.

Best vegan food in Zoetermeer and around. Such a lovely place on historical Dorpstraat in a historic house with a patio on the water. Just amazing. The ambience, the food, everything was good. The food is freshly made, organic, vegan and with gluten-free options. Staff was attentive and ready to help, but needed to be prompted. There weren't napkins on the table. We had to ask for extra plates, and the menu is only available on Dutch.

Omg such a cute and nice place in Zoetermeer. I was above our expectations. I went there with a group of friends and we reserved the table in advance. The owner and staff is very lovely. They speak fluent English as well. They also explained us the concept. They gave us a nice spot for our group. Some of the dishes were very innovative like potato Lasagne, Japanese loaded nachos and jackfruit crab cake. I would highly recommend those dishes. The toilets were also clean. I would love to go there again and try other dishes. Moreover all dishes on the menu are fully vegan.

We dined here on a weekday and were able to get a seat for 2 without a reservation. The service was very courteous and quick. The selection on the menu is vegan. We had the castles and you cheese plate. Both highly recommended. The ambience is rustic to village pub style, but both positive.

Delicious food in a very original and nostalgically decorated restaurant. You immediately feel at home. We had four different starters, main courses (large portions) and desserts, all equally tasty. I went here with a team of work colleagues from the UK, US and across Europe. The food, service and atmosphere was excellent. The locally made beer was top notch 'happy beer' went down very well. Staff were fantastic. Highly recommended.

Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. However, the food was disappointing. The bread starter (8 euros) was meager and not worth the price. The main course, a winter salad (21 euros), would - as described on the menu - be richly filled. What I got was a plate of mainly lettuce, with a few faint bits of vegetables and literally 1 crumbled walnut mixed in. So go home hungry. Never again for us.

Cozy restaurant! Nice people. The food is really delicious. And the food looks very beautiful and tasty! With the S'mores, I expected the marshmallows to be toasted (melted). It's a solid vegan option around Den Haag. The location is cozy and comfortable, there is parking around. The menu is interesting enough to make it worth it. I appreciate that the dessert were simple and not the usuale chocolate mousse/tiramisu vegan option that no one actually likes. The crispy sushi was very very tasty! It is a tad expensive especially for a smaller town Vs a city. I will go back and I do recommend it.

What a metamorphosis compared to the previous operator! Pleasantly decorated with different styles of furniture, the tableware is a collection of everything mixed together, very nice. The menu is quite extensive, difficult to choose, so many tasty dishes. The Winter Flammkuchje was a tasty starter, a good combination of flavors. The Geluksburger tasted very good, actually indistinguishable from real meat. Just a little too much raclette which made it difficult to eat. Delicious crispy fries with it. The 0.10% Cape Nada also went very well with it, nice and refreshing. Finish with an Affogato with a delicious espresso.
