This restaurant is my partner’s favourite in Amsterdam. Yesterday was his birthday, so I made a reservation for 8:00 pm. We arrived at 7:58 pm together with another couple. A man—who I believe was the manager—asked the other couple what time they had booked (they said 8:15 pm). Then he asked about our reservation, and we said 8:00 pm. To our surprise, he seated the 8:15 pm couple before us. We waited a little, and he eventually placed us at an improvised table in the corridor. We politely asked to wait for the next available proper table, and he agreed. Once seated, a waitress asked us to move to another table because the one the manager gave us was meant for four people. We politely declined because the situation was already becoming uncomfortable. Then another waiter came and began arguing with us, insisting we move because it was a table for four—even though a couple next to us was also sitting at a table for four. We refused again, and he went to speak with the manager. When he came back, he asked us yet again to move. I said no, and he replied that we would “have to wait then,” as a sort of punishment for not changing tables. All of this was made worse by a waitress who kept glaring at us the entire time. I understand it was busy, but as customers, it’s not our fault—and we shouldn’t have to pay for bad service from the very beginning. What should have been a relaxed, enjoyable birthday dinner turned into a very uncomfortable experience.

The bookings and table assignments were a complete mess, and since the host stands in between the bar and the restaurant, the queue of people becomes chaotic and disorganized. Because we were two, they tried to seat us at the small entrance tables, which ruins the charm of such a beautiful place. We had mentioned it was a birthday, yet they completely forgot, even after I reminded them. Ordering through the iPad is easy and the dishes arrive promptly, but the sushi itself is very average, nothing special. On top of that, the sushi items have no descriptions, so you basically have to guess what seafood or ingredients each one contains. For €50, I would definitely look for better sushi elsewhere.

It was November 9th, and my child and I had a reservation for 5:30 PM. But something clearly went wrong, and this visit was an unusually unsuccessful and disappointing one. The only bright spot was a swing at the entrance. Then came the cringe-worthy situation—seating our child at an inconvenient table behind a column, being served by a waiter who managed to be rude to us based on our nationality and behaved extremely unfriendly, so he had to be replaced. Then came the ban on ordering new dishes from the "all-you-can-eat-in-two-hours" menu, and the delivery of previously ordered dishes, so we had to remind the waiters. And finally, the real kicker: for all this frustration, we were charged triple the actual price of 150 euros. We had to sort things out again, but they still added an extra 6.50 euro portion of sashimi tuna to our total price. It's clear that our evening, mood, and attitude were ruined by such poor treatment. So I don't recommend this establishment anymore. Be careful and discriminate. The all you can eat menu was a fair price for what you get. The sushi was tasty and satisfying. My only criticism on the food side was the temaki (hand rolls); they were unfortunately chewy instead of having that perfect crispness, which was a real disappointment. Plus, the sashimi is an extra charge and not part of the AYCE deal. Otherwise, the quality was good for the price point & the service was ok. Would visit again

Honestly, I’m very disappointed with this restaurant. The quality has really gone down lately. I used to come here for years, but this was my last visit. The sushi rice tasted old, the presentation was really poor, and the sushi itself was completely flavorless and strange. They’ve also removed many items from the menu and kept only the most basic ones. I don’t recommend it.

This used to be my favourite restaurant, but since the owner changed recently the quality has dropped. Dishes are overloaded with sauce, handrolls taste pre-made and soggy, and prices have gone up while favourites disappeared (like chicken teriyaki and raw beef salad). Some odd new items appeared that have nothing to do with Japanese cuisine (Italian tarts) and are unhealthy (fried). The menu setup is confusing as you constantly need to watch the tablet with included/excluded items and extra charges on top of the general price increase. The big tablet holders at every table makes the experience impersonal, and even the staff feel less welcoming and experienced. Sadly, it’s lost its charm — I’d go elsewhere for sushi now.

They do have a gluten-free menu, but there seems to be a gap between the kitchen and this menu. Even though I asked and explained several times about gluten, I received a dish with gluten. In the end, I did get compensation, but it's not worth it. The sushi is not bad, but I think it's not worth the risk for people with celiac

I went here for lunch today with a friend and my daughter. We chose the all-you-can-eat menu. When we started ordering, we quickly noticed that quite a few dishes required an extra €4.50, and the desserts were between €1 and €2.50. This was the first drawback. There wasn't much choice on the lunch menu either. But we figured since we're here now, let's just give it a try. In the first round, we had chicken dishes that were very greasy. You could tell just by looking at them, and it only got worse as we ate. We pointed this out right away, and they took our plates away. Of the 10 dishes we each tried, 5 were really bad, 3 were passable, and 2 were really good. When we paid, we were asked if she had made everything, and we shared our experience. She couldn't do anything with it. All in all, definitely not recommended!

This is a nice restaurant to look at but it was honestly the worst sushi I’ve ever eaten. Nothing had any flavor. Down to the wasabi and the soy sauce. All the fish tasted like nothing- seems like maybe it’s all pumped with air and food color to make it look nice (which it did- the presentation was great) but really just terrible quality food.

Quite nice! After many visits to all you can eat restaurants around the Netherlands, we believe that this is the best one so far. All dishes we have tried were delicious. All sushi and fried dishes were really tasty. Tartare bites were excellent. We tried 3 different salads all were refreshing and crispy. The miso soup was the best miso soup we have ever tried! Quality of the fish and meat was high, ingridients were fresh. Overall we really enjoyed each and all of the dishes we have tried which resembled higher standards than the typical all you can eat sushi restaurants around. Atmosphere was really nice and cozy, with attention given to small details. Suitable for wide range of occasions from date nights to casual gatherings. Service was fine, however the empty dishes left on the table more than it should be, and this can be improved. We recommend this place for people who want to have a nice all you can eat experience as well as an asian flavor alacarte choice.

We used to love Miso Sushi - the variety of foods, freshly prepared with generous portions was very tasty. But today’s visit was disappointing. The menu has changed - no longer do we have our favorite lamb chops, and many items have a different recipe and quantity size. The fried noodles were cold, sushi quality was sub par, and the fried banana dessert wasn’t even sweet - how do you serve a non-sweet banana? Sad because we used to frequent this place regularly, now need to find another place for our Asian food fix. Note: this review is for the All You Can Eat option

Really overpriced for the quality of the sushi provided. Certain items on the menu cost extra which is crazy given the exorbitant price of the sushi all you can eat. The service is slow and has a 15 minute wait rule between each period. The 2 hour period is enforced strictly which includes the dessert option so you don’t really get value for money. Also, in terms of the quality of food - left here with a stomach upset as did my husband. Avoid.

Very good dishes. The service wasn't very pleasant; the waitress told us the menu price was higher than what was advertised online. Only 5 dishes per person with 8 rounds, so you have to be able to maximize your profits, especially with sushi one at a time. No water jug; tap water costs 0.50 cents. For €40, the menu is way too expensive, and having eaten in restaurants like this, the menu was around €25, and we at least had a jug of water available. Nice decor.

Thank you Miso Sushi!!! First day in Amsterdam and they were so accommodating to get our orders in before the kitchen closed, as we arrived around 10:30. The food came out quickly and we ordered off iPads. They offer All you Can Eat or an Al A Carte menu, which runs around €40. I have a dairy and gluten allergy and felt taken care of and safe.

I recently visited an all-you-can-eat sushi restaurant, and I have to say, it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the atmosphere. The food was absolutely delicious! The variety of dishes was incredible, from sushi rolls and nigiri to hand rolls, soups, salads, noodles, and even grilled dishes. Everything we tried was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. There was something for everyone, and the quality was top-notch—each dish tasted like it was crafted with care really. Having been to many all-you-can-eat spots before, I can confidently say this one is well worth it. The price is more than reasonable considering the variety, quality and quantity of food you get. This place stands out for its value. I can’t wait to return and try even more of the fantastic options, because we really couldn’t get ourselves to try everything that was on the menu!

A good all you can eat in Amsterdam, it has a 2 hours duration - be mindful that the kitchen closes at 10pm on Sundays, so if your reservation is after 20h, you will have less time to eat. Another thing is that a lot of the sauces used in the food have a level of spiceness. We went during dinner and the food arrived pretty quickly

It was the first time I'd eaten out in a while. We decided to give Miso a try, which turned out to be a huge mistake. We were so disappointed with the service at this restaurant! Upon entering, we had to wait five minutes before anyone came to us. Without checking our reservation name, we were simply seated at a table. We then waited for someone to come over and give us the tablet and explain it. No one was there. Finally, after 10 minutes, a woman helped us and we were able to order. For the first round, we ordered a combination of drinks and food. The food was fine, but the salmon and wasabi roll tasted very old. The rice had hardened and was falling apart into hard lumps. We also didn't get our drinks for a very long time, even though it wasn't even that busy. (Staff had time to clean.) We gave it time, but towards the end of the second round, we mentioned it. After waiting at least half an hour, we finally got our drinks. During our meal, a woman came up to us to ask if we had a reservation?! I said yes, under our name... to which she replied, "Oh, okay." Apparently, the staff don't communicate with each other either, even though three people had already asked how many of us there were and showed us to our table. It's also important to mention that the servers had left the slip of paper on our dishes several times, and sometimes they only took an empty plate (they weren't holding anything else) even though there were two or three empty plates on our table. When it was time to pay, I had to go to the cash register myself because no one was watching us. A woman gave me the bill while simultaneously talking to a male colleague. She typed in the amount, placed it on the table behind her, and then, with her back to me, continued talking to her colleague. I said, "Make it this." She didn't even thank me, then put it back on the table and turned to her colleague. So after I paid, the receipt was still with her, and I waited until she was done. She found out and gave me the receipt without saying thank you or having a nice evening. I wanted to give them another chance, because maybe they had something, but they didn't deserve that tip after it was clear they weren't grateful at all. The service in general at this restaurant was truly terrible. I've never seen such a collective failure of service. Only one woman even made an effort, and that was the one who gave us the tablet and explained it. Kudos to her for how she manages to work with these colleagues, because this is simply unacceptable. Especially when you realize you only have two hours and more than a quarter of it is spent on bad service. I DO NOT RECOMMEND eating here. Almost every other sushi place in Amsterdam is better than this.

Easily my favourite affordable sushi place, in any country! The value for money is amazing, and every time I’ve been, the food has been fresh and delicious. Last visit to Amsterdam, we quite literally went there straight from the airport. The staff are always lovely, especially the young guy who works in there. We also went in there with friends with young children, and the staff made it as easy as can be. Can be a little warm in hot weather, but I appreciate that the current heat is unusual

This place is definitely underrated. My first impression of this restaurant was that it is very small and might not be of a great quality but I was quickly mistaken. When you finally enter you see a small bar not once you venture further you see a huge restaurant with storing 3 floors, amazing ambiance, little light, and decorated beautifully. The food was amazing, you can choose from a buffet which you pay 30 euros for adults and for the kids around 17 euros. It is good because you can choose from a large variety of foods from a tablet, and every 8 mi items you order again. The other option is to get food from the menu.

We visited Miso Sushi with my family expecting an authentic Japanese dining experience, but unfortunately, it was quite disappointing. There didn’t appear to be any Japanese staff working, at least none that we could see, and the overall service was disorganized. Orders were placed via tablet, but our drinks took over 30 minutes to arrive. Basic items like ginger and wasabi were forgotten, and we had to ask for them separately. The sushi was average at best. One of the dishes made with Japanese egg (tamago) was spoiled, which raised serious concerns about food safety. Sadly, this was not the experience we hoped for. We do not recommend this restaurant to those looking for quality or authenticity in Japanese cuisine in Amsterdam.

Food was lovely and there was a lot to choose from. Everything was well cooked and the portion sizes were perfect. The price for lunch is affordable and you get bang for your buck! Definitely will come again. Only downside I would say was the service/tablet ordering. It’s a two hour limit and we didn’t get half of our last rounds’s food before the time was up! Quite a small and dark place but overall the restaurant was nice. Drinks not included, so you have to pay separately.

The service was very friendly, which added to the overall warm and welcoming atmosphere. However, the sushi, unfortunately, didn't quite live up to my expectations. The quality seemed fine, but the variety on the all-you-can-eat menu felt like it was padded with dishes that were more about filling you up than wowing your taste buds. The rolls, while promptly delivered, were basic and lacked flavor. Miso Sushi's concept allows you to enjoy your meal for two hours, ordering up to five dishes per person every eight minutes, which is quite a generous offering. While Miso Sushi has its highlights, particularly in terms of service, ambiance, and the all-you-can-eat concept, the sushi itself was a bit of a letdown. For those looking for a casual, plentiful dining experience in Amsterdam and are not overly discerning about their sushi, Miso Sushi could still be a good option. However, for sushi aficionados seeking a more refined experience, there might be better choices in the city.

Got there around opening and it is a dimly lit restaurant. First time here, came for the all you can eat. Sat down and was given a iPad-like device and was given the instructions that you can input 5 items every 8 minutes. The first round of my order came out and the sushi rice was a bit hard and at this point I still didn't get water, so I ordered a coke instead. For the price, I thought it is OK because there was a decent variety of items to choose from. Overall an average experience.

Delivery took almost two hours, and the website's phone number wouldn't ring. I finally called Mushashi, but the girl on the phone lied and said it wasn't part of their business. When I asked if she knew if they were open because I'd been waiting for an hour and a half and they were unreachable, she suddenly asked for my address and then said my order was still there and would go with the next delivery driver. The food was okay, with plenty of salmon, but the fried shrimp were cold and a bit soggy. The blocks of cream cheese were way too big, and there wasn't much sauce. Terrible service, I'll never order from them again.
