At €40 per person for "all-you-can-eat," this felt like a calculated setup aimed squarely at tourists who don't know better. The rolls were absurdly fat with rice — piled on far beyond any normal ratio, clearly to fill you up fast so you stop ordering and they keep their margins. The tuna was warm rather than properly chilled, and the whole meal had a slimy, dirty texture that put me right off. Add to that a dining room that was dark, hot, and humid — genuinely uncomfortable to sit in for a whole meal — and the entire experience felt cheap and poorly run from start to finish. Service was fine, but it doesn't make up for food that felt off and a setup that seems designed to squeeze tourists for €40 a head. Spend your money literally anywhere else in Amsterdam.

The food was absolutely amazing, great sushi for a pretty good price. The servers were a little shy sometimes, but that's okay. The decorations are amazing as well. The food is fresh and yet gets delivered quickly. My only nitpicky thing is that they serve grapes with the seeds still in them in their fruit salad. Seedless would be better.

There were rats running around the restaurant, including near the kitchen area. We told the staff several times because it completely ruined our appetite, but they simply told us that it was “normal” and offered a 10% discount. That response was honestly shocking. The place was extremely dirty and unhygienic. Seeing rodents in a restaurant is unacceptable, and the staff’s attitude made the experience even worse. I would strongly advise people to avoid this restaurant.

Very good, excellent value for money.

The entrance may look a bit unappealing, but there’s a great atmosphere waiting for the customers. Someone showed us a table not even a minute after we walked in. The people running the store are super friendly and they make great sushi. I personally had fried rice, but the rest of their menu is also delightful. I really recommend this place to both those visiting and living in Amsterdam.

Good food ruined by terrible customer service. While the food and potential of this restaurant are actually quite good, the customer service was deeply disappointing. Our negative experience started right upon arrival; despite having requested a table by the window and the restaurant being half-empty, our preference was completely ignored. As returning customers, we were also shocked when the bill arrived. The total came to nearly €70 per person for an "all you can eat" menu, a price that is completely disproportionate to the quality offered and significantly higher than what we paid during our previous visits. When we politely asked for clarification, the staff responded with rudeness and arrogance. We had already settled the bill and were absolutely not looking for a discount. We simply expected transparency, especially as regular guests. It is a shame to see a place with good potential ruined by a hostile attitude towards its customers. We will not be returning.

So pretty! All you can eat was a little pricey (I’m a Canadian tourist so conversion broke my heart lol). But the staff was so attentive and friendly. I noticed this shop was particularly clean and the ambiance was amazing!!!

We chose the all you can eat on a Saturday. The staff were super kind and customer‑friendly. The options on the menu are very broad (fish and seafood, vegetarian dishes, and various meats) and all halal. The location, atmosphere, and interior were excellent. All in all, we had a very delicious meal with top‑notch service.

I was disappointed with the service at Miso Sushi Amsterdam. We were already dining there and had ordered the all you can eat menu when our friend joined us and only wanted to have a drink. The staff member told her she had to sit at the table next to us, which was completely fine, but the way he communicated it came across as very rude and unfriendly. There was no issue with the rule itself, it was more the attitude and tone that made the situation uncomfortable. As paying customers, we expected to be treated with a bit more kindness and professionalism. Unfortunately, the service left a negative impression on our visit.

We went for dinner early in the evening (so it wasn't crowded yet) and had a fantastic experience! The all-you-can-eat offer is amazing! Compared to my home country of Switzerland, it's incredibly affordable, and you get so much for your money 😊

Valentino the best man❤️ I can’t say enough good things about this place, but the real highlight was our server, Valentino. This is genuinely the best waiter I have ever met in my entire life. He is kind, polite, and works extremely hard — I mean, really, really hard. He helped us with everything we needed, took the time to explain the menu and answer all our questions, and because of him, I felt completely comfortable and well taken care of. I would come back a million times just because of him. He is the kindest and most polite waiter imaginable. Honestly, he is just super — I don’t have enough words to fully express how amazing he is. If I could give him an award, I absolutely would. He is simply the best at what he does. Thank you, Valentino ! You’re the best!❤️❤️❤️❤️ And one more thing: I highly recommend this place to everyone. The breadcrumbs are fried until golden and crispy, making a satisfying crunch when you bite into them. The shrimp inside is fresh, tender, and not dry at all. It's incredibly delicious with a little soy sauce, but it can get a bit greasy if you eat too much. It's just right with an iced drink.

It used to be a good place to eat good sushi. But the last two time I was there, the service was bad, the quantity in “all you can eat” is very poor and quality dropped down pretty much. You pay too much for what you get. As I said, it used to be a good place, such a pity. I won’t be back.

We really enjoyed our dinner at Miso Sushi having the à la carte menu and really a lovely ending to our last night in Amsterdam. Sushi is simple but delicious and very fresh with generous portions. Easy to order using the iPad and images are clear with what each foo item is. Staff were all very attentive and really nice (also enjoyed the occasional singing!), food also came out very quickly !

We came to this restaurant because of an Instagram Reel and therefore had high expectations. These were disappointed by the taste. The sushi rice tasted like it had been sitting out for a while, and the fish wasn't of high quality either. At this price, we expected more. It's okay for an all-you-can-eat buffet, but not à la carte. However, the service and the tray ordering system are noteworthy. Furthermore, being in a basement feels like stepping into a different world. In conclusion, there are certainly worse places, but definitely better ones too.

All you can eat formula yes but only if all the party goes for it.. Uninspiring sushis and sashimis which comes way too quick to be trusted (ie 4 minutes between the order and the time the dishes are on the table) Cocktails are pre-mixed and the margarita tastes like your citrus flavored dish soap). Service is great though but apparently instructed to say a glass of tap water is not possible. You go to Amsterdam for many reasons but not for food.. This place is the perfect demonstration.

Just had the most bizarre interaction I’ve ever had in a restaurant. When asking for a glass of tap water I was told that I was “not allowed”. When I asked why I was told it was due to “inflation”. Having consulted Chat GPT a litre of tap water would have cost them approximately 1 cent! If you can’t afford that then they really need to reconsider their business model. When he realised that another server had already given us a small glass each about 10 minutes prior he made sure that we were charged for it! We had the all you can eat menu so safe to say I made sure to fill my boots and give the toilet a few flushes prior to my departure. The reason I wanted tap water in the first place was due to them charging €9.50 for a small bottle. They seem to be having an identity crisis thinking they are an Ibiza club during peak season!

Quite disappointed that the establishment refused to serve a glass of water when we also ordered other drinks.

I tried many different poke places in Amsterdam, but surprisingly I found the best one here. The poke is not overpowered by sauce. It’s light and well-balanced, so you can really taste the freshness of the ingredients. I switched to wasabi mayo and it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. The salmon was incredibly fresh and delicious. The portion was also very generous, filling enough to leave me completely satisfied, but without that heavy, uncomfortable feeling! 10/10, would order again👍

We were so excited to try this place but we were disappointed. The food was below average and the service wasn’t great. The place and atmosphere were both good though.

We got the sushi buffet and it was a good price. The quality of the food was amazing and there was a big range to order from. You could order up to 5 items each time every 8 minutes across two hours. This gave plenty of time to enjoy the food and you did not have to wait long for each dish to arrive.

Unfortunately, not a good experience. The sushi was not fresh and tasted bad, with limited choice. It was very noisy due to the low ceiling, making it difficult to hear each other. The table was sticky and I had to clean it myself. No atmosphere, I will not be coming back.

the sushi here is soooooo good. You can have all you can eat sushi for around 43 euros if i remember correctly. My mouth is watering writing this review🤤. Beside the sushi, i love their fried rice and takoyaki tho it’s what you would expected, not mind blowing

It was absolutely delicious! Having eaten all-you-can-eat sushi before, I found the portions more than reasonable. For once, there was more filling than rice, thank you! It was a bit of a shame about the fruit salad, which surprised me a little... There were three large, whole grapes, a piece of pineapple, and a quarter of a strawberry 😅 As for the service, out of the four or five servers who came to our table, only two were friendly. Otherwise, it was a fantastic experience, and the setting is beautiful.

We went there with my friend after searching for a sushi place for an hour. We enjoyed our time there. My favourite was the Rainbow sushi 🍱 Definitely recommend!! Will be going back 🍣( it is a bit pity that they don’t have sushi sets with more than 4 sushi :( )

This restaurant is my partner’s favourite in Amsterdam. Yesterday was his birthday, so I made a reservation for 8:00 pm. We arrived at 7:58 pm together with another couple. A man—who I believe was the manager—asked the other couple what time they had booked (they said 8:15 pm). Then he asked about our reservation, and we said 8:00 pm. To our surprise, he seated the 8:15 pm couple before us. We waited a little, and he eventually placed us at an improvised table in the corridor. We politely asked to wait for the next available proper table, and he agreed. Once seated, a waitress asked us to move to another table because the one the manager gave us was meant for four people. We politely declined because the situation was already becoming uncomfortable. Then another waiter came and began arguing with us, insisting we move because it was a table for four—even though a couple next to us was also sitting at a table for four. We refused again, and he went to speak with the manager. When he came back, he asked us yet again to move. I said no, and he replied that we would “have to wait then,” as a sort of punishment for not changing tables. All of this was made worse by a waitress who kept glaring at us the entire time. I understand it was busy, but as customers, it’s not our fault—and we shouldn’t have to pay for bad service from the very beginning. What should have been a relaxed, enjoyable birthday dinner turned into a very uncomfortable experience.

The bookings and table assignments were a complete mess, and since the host stands in between the bar and the restaurant, the queue of people becomes chaotic and disorganized. Because we were two, they tried to seat us at the small entrance tables, which ruins the charm of such a beautiful place. We had mentioned it was a birthday, yet they completely forgot, even after I reminded them. Ordering through the iPad is easy and the dishes arrive promptly, but the sushi itself is very average, nothing special. On top of that, the sushi items have no descriptions, so you basically have to guess what seafood or ingredients each one contains. For €50, I would definitely look for better sushi elsewhere.

We wanted to eat here on a Friday night, and it was packed, which is always a good sign. We decided to get takeout. We thought it would be so busy that we'd have to wait a long time, but after about 15 minutes, we got our food. The staff were very friendly!

It was November 9th, and my child and I had a reservation for 5:30 PM. But something clearly went wrong, and this visit was an unusually unsuccessful and disappointing one. The only bright spot was a swing at the entrance. Then came the cringe-worthy situation—seating our child at an inconvenient table behind a column, being served by a waiter who managed to be rude to us based on our nationality and behaved extremely unfriendly, so he had to be replaced. Then came the ban on ordering new dishes from the "all-you-can-eat-in-two-hours" menu, and the delivery of previously ordered dishes, so we had to remind the waiters. And finally, the real kicker: for all this frustration, we were charged triple the actual price of 150 euros. We had to sort things out again, but they still added an extra 6.50 euro portion of sashimi tuna to our total price. It's clear that our evening, mood, and attitude were ruined by such poor treatment. So I don't recommend this establishment anymore. Be careful and discriminate. The all you can eat menu was a fair price for what you get. The sushi was tasty and satisfying. My only criticism on the food side was the temaki (hand rolls); they were unfortunately chewy instead of having that perfect crispness, which was a real disappointment. Plus, the sashimi is an extra charge and not part of the AYCE deal. Otherwise, the quality was good for the price point & the service was ok. Would visit again

This used to be my favourite restaurant, but since the owner changed recently the quality has dropped. Dishes are overloaded with sauce, handrolls taste pre-made and soggy, and prices have gone up while favourites disappeared (like chicken teriyaki and raw beef salad). Some odd new items appeared that have nothing to do with Japanese cuisine (Italian tarts) and are unhealthy (fried). The menu setup is confusing as you constantly need to watch the tablet with included/excluded items and extra charges on top of the general price increase. The big tablet holders at every table makes the experience impersonal, and even the staff feel less welcoming and experienced. Sadly, it’s lost its charm — I’d go elsewhere for sushi now.

I had hair on my food, which was pretty disgusting. It was also very messy and cold.

They do have a gluten-free menu, but there seems to be a gap between the kitchen and this menu. Even though I asked and explained several times about gluten, I received a dish with gluten. In the end, I did get compensation, but it's not worth it. The sushi is not bad, but I think it's not worth the risk for people with celiac

I went here for lunch today with a friend and my daughter. We chose the all-you-can-eat menu. When we started ordering, we quickly noticed that quite a few dishes required an extra €4.50, and the desserts were between €1 and €2.50. This was the first drawback. There wasn't much choice on the lunch menu either. But we figured since we're here now, let's just give it a try. In the first round, we had chicken dishes that were very greasy. You could tell just by looking at them, and it only got worse as we ate. We pointed this out right away, and they took our plates away. Of the 10 dishes we each tried, 5 were really bad, 3 were passable, and 2 were really good. When we paid, we were asked if she had made everything, and we shared our experience. She couldn't do anything with it. All in all, definitely not recommended!

This is a nice restaurant to look at but it was honestly the worst sushi I’ve ever eaten. Nothing had any flavor. Down to the wasabi and the soy sauce. All the fish tasted like nothing- seems like maybe it’s all pumped with air and food color to make it look nice (which it did- the presentation was great) but really just terrible quality food.

Quite nice! After many visits to all you can eat restaurants around the Netherlands, we believe that this is the best one so far. All dishes we have tried were delicious. All sushi and fried dishes were really tasty. Tartare bites were excellent. We tried 3 different salads all were refreshing and crispy. The miso soup was the best miso soup we have ever tried! Quality of the fish and meat was high, ingridients were fresh. Overall we really enjoyed each and all of the dishes we have tried which resembled higher standards than the typical all you can eat sushi restaurants around. Atmosphere was really nice and cozy, with attention given to small details. Suitable for wide range of occasions from date nights to casual gatherings. Service was fine, however the empty dishes left on the table more than it should be, and this can be improved. We recommend this place for people who want to have a nice all you can eat experience as well as an asian flavor alacarte choice.
