What terrible service. Getting a drink takes a long time. The food is mediocre; they don't have bread. The staff isn't paying attention to the people who are there. We have eaten here 3 times now because the food is sort of good. But the irritation due to the bad service is so great that we won't be coming back. I don't understand how they can exist like this. What was supposed to be a nice birthday dinner ended in irritation over the service and a very hefty bill again, which really wasn't worth it.

We came for lunch, but then my daughter didn't feel well. And then you see the care the staff shows for their customers. Truly amazing! They cooled her down and took care of her. We ate our lunch at home anyway, and it was perfect. Anyway: my compliments to the people who work there. Truly amazing. We will definitely be back!!!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Unfortunately, a major disappointment. There were four of us, and we thought the sushi rolls were still included in the €12.50 promotion, so we ordered 16. It wasn't until we were paying that we heard the promotion had ended a week ago and that it was the steaks that were on offer. Of course, we should have checked that ourselves, but it would have been polite if the waitstaff had just pointed it out to us. The service wasn't great either: waiting 35 minutes for a menu, water and glasses were forgotten, and basically having to chase after everything. For nearly €640, you really expect better. And honestly, I didn't think the sushi was worth the price either.

I've eaten here twice now and have been super satisfied both times! Gio is incredibly friendly and hospitable. I went with a friend the first time, and today with my husband. The food is delicious and everything looks beautiful, from the tableware to the presentation. A cozy atmosphere and highly recommended!

The food was good, but for the price, it could have been better. It was quiet, which is fine, but the service was not good. Several times a drink was forgotten and not resolved properly. I had even finished my drink before the other person's drink arrived. I also mentioned it when paying the bill, but nothing was done about it. It's fine if you want to be in the higher segment regarding prices and quality, but then service and hospitality must meet the same standard.

Super satisfied. The food was absolutely delicious. I rate the atmosphere in the restaurant a 10/10. The staff is welcoming, friendly, and efficient. I have eaten here 3 times now and have always had positive experiences!

We thoroughly enjoyed this evening! We started with sushi of exceptional quality — rarely have we eaten such refined food. The lukewarm rice, in particular, made all the difference and brought the flavors into perfect balance. This was followed by delicious scallops, perfectly prepared duck, and so many other flavorful dishes that choosing was simply impossible. In the end, we tasted a bit of everything, and every plate was a surprise in itself. We concluded the evening with tea and delectable chocolates, the perfect ending to a top-notch culinary evening. This restaurant truly managed to surprise us. We will definitely be back!

Much too dark – you can barely see what you are eating. The music was way too loud because of the DJ and was bad to boot, which didn't do the atmosphere any good. The food was fine and the service good, but ultimately it feels more like a bar than a restaurant. Because of that, it is not really worth the price.

The food was very tasty, but unfortunately we had to wait a very long time for it, and the staff also made several mistakes. The menu was unreadable because it was very dark. The price-quality ratio was disproportionate, and we will not be returning.

It was a different experience than my last time at Miss Jones. While I had previously been very impressed with absolutely everything, the Miss Jones tea (baby shower group) was a different experience. The staff was extremely friendly, but despite booking well in advance for 1:00 PM, the trees arrived an hour late. Dishes ordered separately arrived earlier. A separate table with a party that arrived later also received their dishes earlier. This was a real shame, as there were two pregnant women at the table. Furthermore, the price-quality ratio is mediocre, with one cup of tea and the same number of snacks included in a Miss Jones tea. Unfortunately, after high expectations, I was slightly disappointed. The dishes were otherwise excellent and different from a standard high tea.

The hot and cold appetizers and sushi were delicious, but we had to wait an hour for our main course. Apparently, something had gone wrong with the meat, but the waiter didn't mention it until it was almost ready. It was full that evening, so the waiter was very busy, but he could have come by more often. The meat was also a bit disappointing. The decor was nice, if a bit dark. We also sat very close to the very loud music box, which was turned up even louder halfway through the evening, which was also a bit of a relief.

DELICIOUS...and I read some reviews about the poor service... Well, believe me, they're working their tails off. They're efficient and fast...and yet friendly. So, no complaints about the service. And by the way, the meat was super tender and delicious.

A friendly welcome! The sushi tasted great, but the dishes in the shared dining area were really mediocre or lacked any flavor, and all at exorbitant prices! It's odd that you get 3 pieces even though you're with someone else. So, you get 4. The cocktails weren't very flavorful. The lighting was very dim. Of course, you need to create an ambiance with lighting, but this was truly very dim! I've tried it a few times, but this is definitely the last time! €100.00 per person, which is absolutely not worth it. If you're looking for truly good food and a good price-quality ratio, go to Encore in Scheveningen!

Miss Jones is a restaurant focused on nightlife. If you're under 35, the ambient noise level is 70 dB. Probably comfortable. During my visit, this was immediately noticeable. The music—mostly disco music—started out reasonably well, but gradually became louder throughout the evening. The noise level was around 70 decibels, roughly comparable to a vacuum cleaner running. When I asked if I could turn it down a bit, I was told that wasn't possible because it's part of the concept. And I shouldn't shout so much 😵‍💫😵‍💫. For those who enjoy the music being prominent, Miss Jones might be appealing. But if you want to dine and chat, the noise level can be a significant obstacle: especially if you're over 35, you'll mostly hear the music, and your table companions will have a hard time.

I celebrated my 40th birthday at Miss Jones, and it was a complete failure from the start. We booked high tea for seven people, including two vegetarian options. We were given two trees, arranged in an odd arrangement (4 + 3), without any explanation, and with too few appetizers for the number of people we paid for. The table was so small we couldn't even reach anyone properly. But the real reason for this review is the host. Arrogant, distant, and completely lacking in hospitality. No smile, no service, pure arrogance, not a single sign that it was my birthday. When I handed out four mini donuts to my guests—a simple treat for my birthday, since my family comes from far away—I was asked in a snarky, condescending tone if I thought it was "normal" to bring something to a restaurant. When I explained that it was a birthday, all I got was: "That's really not acceptable...if YOU had bothered to call, you would have known it wasn't allowed." Well, I think YOU should have called to discuss the tree division... idiot! Instead of stipulating that a third person should just eat vegetarian. That moment ruined the whole atmosphere in one fell swoop. No "congratulations." No understanding. No professionalism. Just pure contempt for paying customers. We left feeling like we paid to be treated poorly! This was the worst high tea and worst birthday experience ever. Never again. Never again. Truly never again. Later that evening, we received a super friendly welcome at Kyatcha Rotterdam...tip: maybe take a course.

The bread and ham are delicious!

On Friday, November 14th, our family (five adults) tried to dine at Miss Jones for a birthday. We've been here many times because it's a lovely restaurant, has a good menu, and is easily accessible. Unfortunately, this experience was so incredibly disappointing that we all decided never to set foot in the restaurant again. We had ordered extensive dishes so as not to dine as a shared dining experience, but the staff had decided otherwise. After an hour and a half, only a few small dishes had arrived, at exorbitant prices, and three of us hadn't eaten anything. Not even fries. After having to be told five times in 45 minutes by a stressed-out staff member that our food would be here soon, we decided to leave. However, we were asked every few minutes if we wanted another drink, even though all our glasses were full. This felt very pushy to us all, especially since we had already indicated so many times that we wanted our food. We eventually left and had to pay for everything we had drunk, as well as the few dishes. The atmosphere was awful, and no attempt was made to satisfy us. No discount or drinks on the house. A real disgrace. We drove straight to Het Waaltje in Lansingerland, where we arrived at 9:45 PM. The atmosphere was fantastic, even in a packed restaurant, and the service, just like the food, was simply fantastic. So, a tip for the Miss Jones staff: go there sometime to learn how it's done.

The food arrived far too late and was almost cold when it finally arrived. The service was also incredibly poor; the staff seemed completely disinterested and made no effort to resolve the issue. This was my first and last time. I'll never come back here again.

The food is fine, but the steak could be much better for that price. The service is absolutely terrible. Everything takes too long, and the staff seems very young. I even called to ask for something, but we ended up having to choose something else. It's a very nice location, though, and there's plenty of parking. I might try again next year.

I've eaten there several times and I'm incredibly enthusiastic! The staff is always friendly and helpful, one of the few places where it seems like the food staff enjoy their work. Highly recommended, all the food is delicious.

Too dark Weird selection of an asian restaurant. Would not repeat

A cool place, funky fancy, upscale vibe with great fusion food. Can't believe it took us more than a year to discover this hidden gem. Food quality and taste was up there with the best around here, and the surprising part is the prices are low in comparison to other similar dining experiences also in Voorburg. They say this place gets rocking later in the evening with live DJ, we left right before the volume turned up (not that we don't enjoy a good time and music, just a factor of our timing that night). The only part we had negative to say was it got really busy with a large party dining nearby, and when they started their meal our service became slow. But up until then it was efficient as we like it to be. We had the chefs choice 5 course sampler, and each course came out with 3 different dishes for my wife and I to share. We also received many extras (amuse-bouche), equating to another course of food. Servers were very friendly, and genuinely interested in us as neighbors, really aimed to understand and meet our dining tastes, and until it got very busy they did an amazing job at keeping the dining experience flowing very well. I have to express again how polite and genuinely interested they were of us a people and to ensure our taste were met. We will certainly be back, very nice food and dining experience no matter the cost, but factoring in the value, I don't think you'll find this bang for your buck anywhere else around here!

Delicious high tea (new style), it's truly delicious, and the vegetarian version was also very good. We had a wonderful time with my birthday guests. Very nice restaurant. Beautifully presented high tea. Friendly staff. Downsides: you have to pay the full amount immediately upon reservation [50% would be more reasonable]. It's also not easy to add a comment after booking [beware of the slightest mistake and you'll be canceled, which happened to me when I wanted to add a comment. When I corrected this, the response was less than friendly]. Unfortunately, you only get one cup of premium tea, which has a unique visual effect. But not everyone liked the taste of that tea. It would be better if people could choose their own flavored tea.

I think the service and atmosphere are very good. The food, however, is of very poor quality. The grilled bavette smelled like a goat stable. The pornstar martini was sour. The roasted vegetables were covered in oil. And the popcorn shrimp was dried out. This is my second time here, and again, the atmosphere is nice and the service good, but it's a real shame about the food.

The overall impression is good, but: First, an email to remind me of the appointment or to let me know that you're not quite right. Then the restaurant itself: 1. A lot of noise from the cocktail bar. 2. The staff treats you like a child. 3. The service takes a long time and has its own ideas about it, such as clearing the table before you've finished and refilling without asking. 3. The restaurant is worn, with bare spots everywhere, dents in the tables, and discolored lampshades. 4. The staff is arrogance typical of Voorburg, which we could have expected, but at least they do speak Dutch. However, the food is very good and makes the service acceptable. It's pricey, but worth it. I wouldn't eat there with others because of the staff.

We sat outside after reservation was done for inside as it was nice evening and they was okay with the changed , we had 3 sharing items each and many nice cocktails, great service with good vibe and nice food.

For my birthday, I made a reservation for high tea at Miss Jones. This was my second visit, after the first one wasn't a great success, but my companions and I wanted to give it another try. The high tea was served quite high, making it awkward to see half the group, especially since you're sitting quite low. The food wasn't particularly exciting; the sushi was okay, but that was about it. However, everyone really enjoyed the first coconut tea. The atmosphere is great. Beautifully decorated and a pleasant environment. The service was also good, although there was a bit of miscommunication between the staff and us, which was quickly resolved. The waiter, however, served all the dishes a bit mumbled and rushed, so we didn't quite understand what we were eating. It was an okay experience, but I wouldn't repeat it.

If you like shared dining and Asian fusion, you've come to the right place! An extensive menu, both for dinner and for wine and cocktails. Refined, tasty dishes and an atmospheric ambiance. The super friendly waitress Sophie served us at our beck and call. We would love to come back!

We enjoyed the shared dining dishes very much with 4 people. Service was great and food and drinks just as good. It has been mentioned several times, price is on the high side but the quality and atmosphere make the costs more than worth it. We were initially disappointed that we could not eat outside but the table by the window with doors open was a good alternative.

We had a great meal here! We were served by Sofie & Daan and they were incredibly friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and the background music created a very cozy atmosphere. This is really recommended!

You pay a little more money but you immediately notice it in the quality of the food. The service is also really great and they take all wishes into account. I would definitely recommend this restaurant! It is only very dark inside, that is the only thing that was disappointing.

It's been a while since I ate here, but it will definitely stay with me. The beef truffle tartare was really delicious, with a creamy taste due to the truffle mayonnaise and beautifully topped with gold leaf, which gives it a luxurious look. This dish gets a 10 from me, we liked it so much that we even ordered it again. The Indonesian style crunchy fries had a tasty, I'm guessing, homemade peanut sauce, which was very tasty. The rest of the dishes were fine, but not necessarily memorable. The interior of the store is beautiful and has a charming appearance that especially appeals to the female audience. The only downside is that it can be a bit noisy at times, especially during busy times. Yet this is well compensated by the friendly and helpful service, which ensures a pleasant experience.

Het concept is een zeer doorzichtige copy paste van andere restaurants zoals Harbour Club en Catch of Encore, om maar wat te noemen. Het grote verschil zit ‘m in de kwaliteit van de gerechten en de service. Je betaalt heel veel voor heel weinig en voelt aan alles dat de tent niet is opgezet om jou als gast te dienen, maar vooral de eigen kassa. Op hinderlijke wijze wordt je glas wijn na 1 slok al meteen weer bijgevuld door het personeel die heel duidelijk hierop gedrilld is, de prijs/kwaliteit verhouding is ver te zoeken en de sfeer is van een gedwongen gezelligheid. Maar de Voorburgers die graag zien en gezien willen worden zullen daar geen boodschap aan hebben. Genaaid willen worden is natuurlijk ook een way of life. Zelfs als het gratis zou zijn zou ik nooit meer gaan naar dit restaurant.

I decided to go to this restaurant because it’s look very nice and stylish. We’re 03 friends and we just wanted to 🍷 and have some snacks. I called it before and I said that we won’t have a dinner but the staff told me that it was necessary to reserve and I did it. When we came, one garçon brought to the table and after a few minutes, he came back to get the orders. I said only my friend wil have a diner and we just wanted to celebrate life with a good wine . At this moment garçon “ Giovanni “ was very unpleasant and told us to go to the bar… we were not pleased with this behavior and I called a waitress that apologized and she did her best to attend us with kindness and respect. Further everything was perfect 🤩.

Ik had hoge verwachtingen van dit restaurant. De sfeer en uitstraling zijn prachtig en het eten was redelijk goed. Helaas werd mijn ervaring overschaduwd door de houding van de host (manager). Deze meneer was arrogant en onvriendelijk, en maakte zelfs denigrerende opmerkingen. Er was totaal geen respect voor de klanten, wat ervoor zorgde dat wij ons niet welkom voelden. Nog nooit hebben wij zo’n negatieve ervaring gehad. Het is jammer dat de host, door zijn ego, klanten wegjaagt, want dit doet afbreuk aan de algehele ervaring. Hij zou echt baat hebben bij een cursus respectvolle communicatie.

The food was delicious, especially the sushi. Nice concept that you can share dishes, lots of choice in cold and warm dishes. There were also oysters and several main courses. Vegetarian options available. Most dishes tasted good except for a few dishes. The prices are on the medium/high side. Service was fine, nothing much to complain about. Only the noise became too much, especially with loud music in the background. Having a real conversation at the table was not that easy.

I had high expectations for this restaurant. The atmosphere and appearance are beautiful and the food was quite good. Unfortunately my experience was overshadowed by the attitude of the host (manager). This gentleman was arrogant and unfriendly, and even made derogatory comments. There was no respect for the customers at all, which made us feel unwelcome. We have never had such a negative experience. It's a shame that the host, through his ego, drives customers away because it detracts from the overall experience. He would really benefit from a course in respectful communication.

Gereserveerd en kreeg netjes een email terug u bent op de wachtlijst en eronder staat , gelukt. Mooi denk je dan toch want wat bedoel je anders met gelukt. ? Dan kom je daar met je vrouw om een 20 jarig huwelijksfeest te vieren en om wat te eten en wat blijkt ze hebben geen tafel en mijn naam staat er niet bij. Weten ze dit nou al niet meer van tevoren of ze genoeg tafels hebben of ligt dit aan mij. Hopelijk valt de computer nooit voor ze uit want dan kunnen ze zelfs de tafel van 10 niet meer. 😂 Maar gelukkig konden we wat anders vinden, de Beren daar hebben we snel kunnen reserveren en aan kunnen schuiven zonder wacht lijstjes en werden we toch nog heerlijk verwend.

We love coming here. Whether the tartare, the quail nuggets with lychee chutney, everything is so delicious, new and fresh. The whole restaurant is so beautiful and it's just fun to be a guest there. For a German guest it may be unusual that you get the drinks menu first. If you understand the menu system "to share", then it makes sense. Because the food you order is not served in front of you, but in the middle of the table. That's why the plates are already set We love it and look forward to nothing more than sitting there in the evening during the 250km. The cocktails are great, the wine is very tasty and the service is very present. Nothing better could have happened to this hotel. See you soon

Delicious dishes with lots of variety and friendly service

Met hoge verwachtingen kwamen wij naar Miss Jones (2 stellen). Wij gingen voor het verrassingsmenu à 85 euro pp en dan mag je wat verwachten. Buiten het feit dat het veel te veel was waren de gerechten zeer wisselend; sommige erg lekker en sommige niet te eten. Natuurlijk valt er over smaak niet te twisten, maar wij waren het er in ieder geval met zijn 4-en duidelijk over eens dat sommige gerechten niet smaakten. De parelhoen bijvoorbeeld, weeïg van smaak. Tussen de oesters zaten klontjes ijs, uiteraard horen deze koud, maar was onaangenaam eten/slikken. Sfeer en bediening prima, desondanks geen aanrader.

We booked a table for 19:00 yesterday evening. We were welcomed directly and brought to our table. The restaurant which is very very big was quite. Maybe 10-12 tables occupied (15% of all tables) No large groups. Upon seated we had to wait 14 min to receive the drinks card with no on attending our table. We received our deinks and the had to ask for the food menu's.... Not a good start. Menu is very impressive with a fusion of Japanese/Asian as well as western (Steak cart) Prices are high for the location in Voorburg next to a cheap Holiday in and the station. (especially the Sushi is Expensive; €25-€35 for a role) We ordered our 5 starters and 1 main coarse> The first dish came after 25 minutes and they came slowly after that. A joke in a quite place. we even received a starter after the main coarse arrived..... Then the waiter dropped a glas of red wine at the table. Can happen, BUT, No apology and my pants had a wine stain. they didn't care. So the whole meal took 3 hours for just starters and main coarse..... Service is LOUSY and unprofessional in this establishment The kitchen produces VERY Nice and creative dishes but is shockingly slow. So All in all a restaurant that could be.... but now is CLEARLY NOT a place to visit.

We visited today with a group of seven. The staff members were nice. Only the duration of the service was so long and so bad that we received food after 1.5 hours and were asked all the time if we wanted something to drink, no one could provide information about the duration of the food. Most customers who came after us got their food right away.

A Saturday dinner at Miss Jones in Voorburg is definitely worth it. The ambiance is unsurpassable, flowery, the service accurate and we are really pampered with beautiful music by Marvin Gaye in the background. I have never seen such a beautifully varied wine list in my life from middle to top class including Bernardus, but also the beautiful esporão from Portugal was not missing from the menu. The menu has an extensive tapas, sushi selection and starters, mains and desserts. It was not without reason that the restaurant was fully booked with 200 people. They say: Campari should be drunk once in your life. And you must eat at Miss Jones's at least once!

We had an absolutely delicious meal and a very nice evening. Went here for a more extensive meal on the advice of friends. The service is fantastic. There are few places where the waiters serve you so well and courteously. The food comes in well-spaced portions, not too much and delicious in taste. The sushi rolls are fresh, you can taste that immediately. Fantastic taste and nice quantity. Steak tartare is made fresh at the table and completely customized to your taste and preferences. Korean chicken tasted perfect, just like the delicious boa buns. Cocktails and wines were also great! There is also plenty of choice for desserts and not large portions that will make you burst, but wonderfully subtle and precise enough. Yes, it is a slightly more expensive restaurant, but for a truly enjoyable evening, it is highly recommended. If you want to eat something quickly and move on, this is not the place for you. We sat here from half past seven to a quarter to ten and had a great time. We will undoubtedly go back again soon!

Title: Disappointing Experience Due to Rude Management I recently visited MISSJONESRESTAURANT and, unfortunately, my experience was far from what I had hoped for. While the food and atmosphere might have been decent, the behavior of the manager completely overshadowed the positive aspects of the visit. From the moment I approached the manager with a simple question/issue, their attitude was rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. Instead of addressing my concerns politely, they were obnoxious and made me feel uncomfortable, which is not something you expect when dining out. It’s disappointing when customer service falls short, especially from someone in a leadership position. I hope the restaurant management takes feedback seriously and works on improving their interactions with guests. Until then, I would hesitate to recommend this place to anyone looking for a pleasant dining experience.

We visited Miss Jones on October 4. Miss Jones' concept is to order several small dishes and eat them together. We thought it was great fun. The major disadvantage is that these are small dishes, but these dishes have the price of large dishes. Really absurd. As an example, 200 grams of Bavette for 28 euros and that included nothing else. Just a little bit of Bavet. Furthermore, the sushi roll of Wagyu beef Gamba roll for 32 euros. You will then receive a roll consisting of 8 pieces. 32:8 amounts to 4 euros for 1 small piece of Sushi. The prices were absolutely disproportionate to the quality and quantity of the food. I will upload the receipt here so you can see what the current prices were. 196.30 euros for 2 hours of dining out with 2 people is a bit much in my opinion. The staff was extremely correct and friendly. I can only say that the staff did their utmost for you. When we entered, we sat on the right of the wall at a table for 2 people. On the wall side is a long sofa, then there is a row of tables and the opposite seating area is a chair. A major disadvantage is that the tables are so close together that you can literally listen to the conversation of your neighbors on the left and right, but also your conversation. Not nice. The food was certainly tasty but definitely over priced. The restaurant was quite full with guests, which is of course a good sign. There is certainly an atmosphere of "see and be seen". Show how wealthy you are. Personally, I didn't like this. The preparation of the dishes was neat and tidy.

I was here for a birthday celebration yesterday, and it was relatively nice. The food was very good and the decor really is beautiful. Unfortunately, they were not very agreeable with the planning of the event and considering the very high costs involved, you would think they would be more receptive to what the guest wanted. We might return to try some more of the food, but for now the experience was slightly disappointing.

We were received and served very kindly. The atmosphere is good, nice decor, but the chairs are not comfortable. The tables are also a bit close together and the music is very loud. The food is on the pricey side for the taste. It's fine, but not particularly tasty.
