Nice place, been three times, and after having the satay I had it again because it was so delicious. Definitely recommended if you are staying at the hotel.

Nice terrace by the water. Prompt service. Good lunch for a reasonable price.

We had lunch at a very cozy spot. It looked cozy and neat. We were served well and in a friendly manner. It was very nice to be able to catch up quietly. The food looked beautifully presented and was delicious too. We enjoyed a nice cup of coffee, and it was also pleasant that no one kept coming over to ask if we wanted another drink. Which happens quite often elsewhere and does not come across as pleasant to the writer of this review.

It was fantastic! The only downside was that there is no air conditioning.

We have enjoyed high tea here several times before, and once again everything was perfectly arranged and the service was perfect. Definitely worth repeating!

We had a lovely dinner on the terrace with a view of the lake and small park. My request to allow extra space between courses due to my gastric bypass was handled very well. We agreed that I would let them know when the next course could be served, and this worked perfectly. The portion size was also good. We had a delicious dinner. Thank you.

It was tasty, but we had to wait a veeeery long time for the high tea to arrive. The reserved high tea area was very noisy and thin due to the crowds, so you could hardly understand each other. The staff was friendly and the high tea was good, hence 4 stars!!!!

The only downside was that my wife asked for it without dressing, but that wasn't possible. Otherwise, everything was fine to eat. So it could have been 5 stars.

Nice waiters, the vegetarian quiche was half a round, very meager for €14.50, the fish and duck breast really should have come with some of those tasty fries, the mussels: there were many empty ones among them and too many soup vegetables. Otherwise it was good.

The high tea was tasty, but it is a real shame that vegetarian options were forced upon us once again. It would be nice to have a free choice in this regard. We didn't really like the vegetarian snacks. It's a pity, though I would love to come back again.

Unfortunately, it was far too hot in the restaurant. Sitting on the terrace for 4 people was also unpleasant, and we had to set the table ourselves because the wait staff was alone. Therefore, the service and after-sales care were not optimal. As we visit Fletcher's frequently and have some experience, we do not consider this restaurant a top choice.

Definitely received excellent service, very friendly staff. On one side a large mall and at the back very quiet by the water, so unique, no disturbances, stay 1 overnight with breakfast and dinner.

We visited Restaurant Chiparus at the Fletcher Hotel in Leidschendam with a group of 8, hoping for a nice evening out near the Mall of The Netherlands. What a disappointment, this turned into one of the worst dining experiences we’ve had. From the start, the waiter was rude, to say the least, dismissive and unhelpful, with zero enthusiasm or basic courtesy. We ordered our meals and then waited a full 45 minutes for the food to arrive. To make matters even stranger: all the weekly offers/promotions listed on the table (or menu) were non-available. Very strange, to say the least, why promote them if nothing is actually offered? It just added to the overall sense of disorganization and lack of care. When it finally did, everything was stone cold. The steak in particular was a disaster: it had a clear off smell, like it wasn’t fresh at all. We had to send two plates back, and they replaced them, but by then the whole dinner had dragged on to over 2.5 hours. What should have been a relaxed meal turned into a frustrating ordeal. To top it off, the room temperature was freezing, literally extremely low. Out of our group of 8, five of us ended up eating with our jackets on because it was so uncomfortably cold. The entire situation felt bizarre and poorly managed. The location is literally a 2-minute walk from the mall with plenty of better (and warmer!) dining options. Save yourself the hassle and disappointment, just eat there instead. We won’t be coming back, and I strongly advise against it.

The food was tasty, but as the menu card is yet nor gastronomic or extremily unique, the small proportion of the dishes are coming accross almost disrespectful of the client. 16,50 per a Cesar salad and a goatcheese salad served on flat plates, with the bare minimum ingrédients fighting for calories seemed to be a joke, just enough for me to send back my salad to the kitcken and ask for more salad and a decent seasoning instead. Watch out kitcken chef, you arent fooling anyone here, and should take example of all the amazing restaurants around, who knows well what a salad should be, when in restaurant. Please take your clients and guests more seriously and revise your recipes in the future, or lower your prices.

Food and service could have been better, atmosphere is nice, not too busy

I was here with a voucher from AH, the food was tasty, but my hamburger bun was toasted for too long, which made it taste burnt.

We dined with four people using our second free AH vouchers. We had a wide selection of starters, main courses, and desserts—a truly extensive menu! We had a delicious meal, and the restaurant's ambiance, thanks to the lighting, was much more atmospheric than the daytime photos on the website suggest, and the staff were friendly. In short, we had a great evening, and we didn't feel like we had to choose from a "cheaper menu." We highly recommend the goat cheese salad! It's also convenient that you can park nearby for free.

Salade geitenkaas was een klein schaaltje keiharde sla uit een zakje met drie stukjes biet, wat walnoten en een plak geitenkaas. Voor de 4 halve sneetjes waldkornbrood van de AH moest ik 5 euro extra betalen. Totaalprijs is dan € 20,50. Echt schandalig slecht. Meteen de manager erbij geroepen die me goddank niet liet betalen. Je zit er leuk aan het water maar de salade is er niet te doen.

We kwamen hier voor de lunch, de ontvangst was vriendelijk. We bestelden drinken en kregen de lunchkaart, toen we ons drinken kregen liep de serveerster gelijk weg en na een kwartier kwam er iemand terug om onze bestelling op te nemen. Er liepen heel veel medewerkers maar niemand deed iets. Na een half uur wachten kregen mijn vrouw en dochter hun eten, ik niks. Mijn eten was niet doorgekomen bij de kok hoorden we na nog eens vijf minuten. De mensen die na ons besteld hadden waren al lang klaar met eten en waren ook al weer weg. Na nog eens een dik kwartier kreeg ik mijn brood met zalm ook. Een klein excuus kon er nog net van af. Het eten was ook nog eens niet erg smaakvol, sla was wat droog en de zalm kwam uit de diepvries. Niet voor herhaling vatbaar.

Les Pays-Bas ne sont pas un endroit de gastronomie... ça se vérifie chaque jour. Nous avons commandé un verre de champagne pour apéritif : ils ne servent pas le champagne au verre. OK On a donc pris une bouteille. Les entrées avalées, il nous a fallu 40 minutes pour avoir les plats. Le mien (de la biche) était servi tiède! Un plateau de fromages servi avec, pour tout couvert, une petite cuillère! Pas, ou peu de pain, pas de petit couteau, pas de beurre... Le tout pour près de 2OO € à deux...

Gastronomisch dineren met wijn BONGO bon. Van onze kinderen een bongo bon gekregen. Omdat in onze naaste woonomgeving geen restaurant was waar je de bon kon inwisselen gekozen voor een plaats vlak bij waar de kinderen woonachtig zijn. Het reserveren ging simpel. Bellen naar het hotel/restaurant en het nummer van je (geactiveerde) bon doorgeven. Aansluitend twee nachten geboekt om ook de Westfield Mall te kunnen bezoeken. Het eten was echt top. De ontvangst in het restaurant uitermate vriendelijk. Wij hadden een 4 gangen verassing menu met bij elke gang een glas wijn. Voorgerecht zalm met daarop oa iets van biet met een glas witte wijn. Tussen gerecht een soepje van aardappel met prei met een glas rode wijn. Hoofdgerecht een eendenborstfilet met aardappel puree, broccoli en wortel ook met rode wijn. Nagerecht een brownie met vanilleijs en een stukje ananas afgesloten met een glas witte wijn. Lekker gegeten, zeker een aanrader en kan zomaar zijn dat wij hier nog eens terugkomen. En compliment voor het personeel je kreeg ruim de tijd om rustig te eten en ze waren de hele avond uitermate vriendelijk en lief.

We were staying at the adjacent Hotel Fletcher and wanted to have a drink this evening, August 30, 2023. We sat down and waited about 25 minutes for service. The server repeatedly walked past us towards the kitchen and also to the next table, asking the guests to pay at the bar. After 30 minutes, we got up and left the restaurant.

The food is few and mediocre, and overpriced. The service is friendly. If I didn't live in the hotel, I wouldn't eat there.

Staff (including manager) are busy with completely different things, but not with the guests. Several guests could be seen looking around, while the staff were chatting happily with each other. A game stew with matching bock beer is advertised. Bock beer was not available. An IPA was offered as an alternative. Beer menu also does not match what is available. Wines are cheaper on the menu than actually paid for. The sandwich beforehand took a very long time. No more Chiparus for us!

Overall the food was good, tomato soup was very tasty. The food was just too spicy for children, I heard all the children whining that they couldn't eat it. My food too, fruit was fine. Ultimately bought a children's menu but only ate fruit and tomato soup, tomato soup was exclusive. Good accommodation and atmosphere and definitely recommended, but not for children under 12.

Had high tea with my daughter in this restaurant today. What a mockery. 2 small slices of white bread, 1 with chicken fillet and 1 with cheese. The cheese had no taste. You don't put that on a sandwich. A shelf with sweet things. The scones were still warm. The chocolates were poor quality. Cheap crap from the supermarket. You pay €24.90 pp for this. They really don't see us here anymore.

Beautiful interior. Service was good, although there was always a wait. Food could be better, a brasserie tastes better. Catering prices 2022 (not the hotel's fault): fresh mint tea €4, I just started learning to cook...

Lang geleden was dit een goed restaurant. Helaas deze keer teleurstellend. Bediening wat traag, in een leeg restaurant, eten zeer matig. Pomodori soep was duidelijk niet vers, poeder/blik soep. Al met een een 12 uurtje voor 13 euro is flink aan de prijs voor het gebodene. Jammer!

Heerlijk gegeten met een fletcherbon via social deal. Leuke prijs al kregen we bij hoofdgerecht alleen stukje vlees met groenten. Mijn man miste echt de frietjes of aardappelen die andere tafels wel kregen. Maar de rest was top. En je mag niet alles verwachten denk ik dan maar

Goede koffie, lekker broodje crabsalade. Inrichting clean en ongezellig.

"3-gangen diner voor 2" voucher gekocht bij Albert Heijn. Vriendelijk ontvangen door een jongeman. Bij aankomst bleek er een van tevoren bepaald menu te zijn. Dit menu was niet online bekend en er kon ook geen keuze gemaakt worden uit 2 opties. Tomatensoep was smaakvol maar iets te pittig. Hoofdgerecht was varkensmedaillon, smakelijk maar iets te rauw gebakken. Medium varkensvlees is niet onveilig wanneer het medium-rare bereid is, maar dit was meer roze dan nodig. Vergezeld door smakelijke aardappelpuree en sauzen, echter helaas ook door oninteressante groente. Aankleding was wel netjes. Dessert bestond uit 3 bolletjes ijs, met keuze uit 2 smaken. Had een kinderlijk gevoel, niet op de nostalgische manier. Het restaurant zelf bleek minder chique dan verwacht uit foto's. Tot slot, het personeel was deels vriendelijk en deels geforceerd. Slechts een enkele keer drinken aangeboden en de rest van de tijd met lege glazen aan tafel gezeten. Voor de toeslag die we moesten betalen voor dit restaurant hadden we wel wat meer verwacht, een chique driegangen diner. Wat ik nu achteraf betaald heb voor deze avond uit eten, zelfs met voucher, vond ik niet de moeite waard.
