Eating here is okay, the food is great, really good, you just get full very quickly. The service alone...yes that was something, the food was put down without saying anything, we had someone with us with a severe allergy and even though she had a separate QR code, her food was placed everywhere on the table, making it more like Russian roulette, which was a shame. Yes, the food came within a few minutes, and in the beginning it was super nice, until we found out that this was more because they wanted us away than really service. To end this review on a positive note, it was nice how we were helped when we had questions, which was very nice

My favourite japanese restaurant in Utrecht. Even though it is an all-you-can-eat place, dishes are really tasty. Sushis are well prepared. I try to visit here as much as possible. The only topic that they can improve themselves is desserts. More options with chocolade please.

Onlangs bracht ik een bezoek aan MOJO Japanese Kitchen in Utrecht en het was een ware culinaire ervaring. Het restaurant, gelegen aan de Potterstraat, biedt een modern en elegant Japans interieur dat direct een ontspannen sfeer creëert. Het 'all you can eat' concept is perfect voor liefhebbers van de Japanse keuken, waarbij je via een tablet eenvoudig je favoriete gerechten bestelt die vervolgens snel aan tafel worden geserveerd. De versheid van de sushi en andere gerechten was opvallend. Ik genoot van diverse maki's zoals de 'Crunchy Dragon Maki', 'Zalm Wasabi Mayonaise Maki' en de 'Spicy Tuna Maki'. De 'Zalm Sashimi' was bijzonder smaakvol en smolt op de tong. Ook de 'Edamame Mojo Style' en de 'Gebakken Garnalen Maki' waren heerlijk en toonden de diversiteit van het menu aan. Het is duidelijk dat MOJO veel aandacht besteedt aan de kwaliteit en presentatie van hun gerechten. Wat het bezoek extra aangenaam maakte, was de uitmuntende service. Het personeel was vriendelijk, attent en zorgde ervoor dat alles naar wens verliep. De combinatie van heerlijke gerechten, een sfeervol interieur en uitstekende service maakt MOJO Japanese Kitchen tot een aanrader voor iedereen die van de Japanse keuken houdt. Ik kijk ernaar uit om binnenkort weer terug te keren en nog meer van hun uitgebreide menu te proeven.

We tried this restaurant for my birthday at lunch and the experience was above the expectations! I really liked the elegance look of the ambient. The atmosphere was quiet and the staff never bothered us. Talking about food the menu was lacking a bit of sushi variety but surprisingly we tried salads and other dishes and every single dish was tasty and well looked. The staff was kind all the time. Also the bathroom was big enough and the dry hands system was smart. Overall amazing experience! Thanks

The food was good and the service was fast. Even though I had indicated when booking that it was my wife's birthday, we did not receive any gifts or discounts. That was sad. Moreover, it was colder inside than outside and some customers were very noisy, which was disturbing. Tell your employees to place the plates of food on the table more gently, and not too hard.

The food was absolutely disgusting. I have had bad and good all you can eat sushi, and this was just straight up bad. Multiple pieces were inedible and had us gagging. For 40€ and all the good reviews, you would think that it would be decent, but the sushi from Albert Heijn across the street is better. I do not recommend at all

You have a maximum of 2 hours to eat. 45 minutes before the end (after 1.15 am) we were warned that we could still order for half an hour. The receipt was placed on the table 20 minutes before time. 15 minutes before time someone stood next to us with an ATM machine asking us to pay and whether we could leave as the next people were already waiting. I think this is really ridiculous, it's great that you can sit for a maximum of 2 hours and it's nice that you are warned in advance, but flashing the receipt on the table 20 minutes before the time and being thrown out of the restaurant 15 minutes before the time is really ridiculous!

Ik heb nog nooit zo’n slechte restaurant meegemaakt. Deze tent serveert de viesste, smerigste sushi die je je maar kunt voorstellen. De sushi zit vol zout, de vis is gewoon rotzooi en de rijst smaakt naar rubber – en dat allemaal voor een hoge prijs! Toen we klaagden, deden ze niks: geen hulp, geen excuses, gewoon alles aan ons overlaten. Ik meen oprecht dat het hier niet lekker is. Blijf hier ver vandaan en zoek een plek waar je fatsoenlijk eten kunt krijgen.

Na een half uur van de twee uur dat we daar gezeten hadden, hebben we dit netjes aan de bediening aangegeven. Ook tijdens het proeven van de gerechten hebben we meerdere keren gemeld dat het niet naar verwachting was, maar hier werd totaal niets mee gedaan. We werden niet gehoord; we kregen de rekening voor de neus gehouden en de bediening bleef volhouden dat er niets aan gedaan kon worden, omdat de stukjes sushi al waren opgegeten en teruggestuurd – volgens hen zou dit op de tafel blijven liggen. De bediening was uiterst onprofessioneel. Wat een mislukking deze avond bij MOJO.

I have never experienced such a shitty restaurant. This place serves the dirtiest, nastiest sushi you can imagine. The sushi is full of salt, the fish is just rubbish and the rice tastes like rubber – all for a high price! When we complained, they did nothing: no help, no apologies, just left everything to us. I honestly think it's not nice here. Stay far away from here and find a place where you can get decent food.

Good first impression upon arrival, but that fell apart after tasting the first dish. We tried several sushis, but they were all rubbery, extremely salty and just not tasty. After half an hour of the two hours we had been sitting there, we neatly indicated this to the waiter. Even while tasting the dishes, we reported several times that it was not as expected, but nothing was done about this. We were not heard; We were presented with the bill and the waiter insisted that nothing could be done because the pieces of sushi had already been eaten and sent back - according to them this would remain on the table. The service was extremely unprofessional. What a failure this evening at MOJO.

This was without a doubt one of the worst restaurant experiences I've ever had. The sushi was very disappointing: far too salty, the fish did not taste fresh, and the rice had an unpleasant texture. And while the prices are quite high. When I raised my complaints, the staff didn't seem really interested in a solution. No apologies, no attempt to make amends just disinterest. As more people indicated in the reviews, it also happened once; The food was suddenly served a lot slower and without any explanation we received the bill at 6:45 PM while we could order until 7 PM. Starting the conversation only half helped, due to their own poor planning we had to quickly eat the food and leave. At 7:15 PM we were asked to leave immediately. The entire table was still full of food, which the waitress quickly put into 2 containers so that we could take it with us. There is no such thing as late dining and indulgence at MOJO. Never experienced anything so ridiculous.

I have also been to 3 other mojo branches in Tilburg Eindhoven and Helmond, it was ok there, but in mojo Utrecht I was very disappointed, the sushi and meat dishes only tasted of salt, it was simply unedible and certainly never will be. go more to mojo Utrecht. Not only was the food bad, the service was also nothing, what we ordered did not even arrive and we kept getting food from others, probably our food went to other tables, so our food did not arrive and half of the order was always missing and this is not the case. Happens once but almost with every order we placed. Atmosphere was also nothing, a group of young boys who were just shouting and swearing about cancer, this is definitely not recommended here to eat with your family or friends. 1 star is actually too much. Apparently they have a very poor agreement with Uber Eats, which means they do not always have delivery people on time. Time management is also not included, so they prepare the dishes immediately upon ordering, regardless of whether or not delivery is possible. We made a reservation at 5 p.m. and it wasn't busy yet. Once we were allowed to join, the first round went well, but the lady arrived at 5:15 PM with the story that we had the table until 7:00 PM, that's fine, we know that too. A drink was missing on arrival and it took a while before we got it. Fine! But then things went completely wrong. During the second round it became a little busier. We ordered 10 dishes, of which we only received four (after an hour). We waited politely... but suddenly the same lady comes to us again and tells us that our table must be free at 7 am (it was 6:30 am) and that we have to pass on our last round. Excuse me? Our second round wasn't even complete yet? Of course we didn't mind that we had to be ready at 7am, but then our food had to be on the table? We showed up at 5:15 and only got 1 round? Realize waiting 2 hours for no food. So we reported that our second round had not even been on the table.. All we got was yes, oops, we are busy in the kitchen, yes, sorry, I will let you know that you have not had your food yet, but if you do not finish it If you arrive at 7am, you can just leave it there, it's no problem. What??? Well, we waited patiently... don't think anything else was added. So we paid a total of 115 euros for 2 adults and a 5-year-old child for literally 13 dishes (1 round) of which I could only eat 4 because my orders had not arrived. So we ordered our desserts, which also took at least 20 minutes for ice cream, and behind us the lady who had been bothering us all the time about the time of day threw everything on the table to quickly seat other people. She was very rude and we were certainly not pleased with her, in fact we were in shock at how badly we were treated for such a large prize. We went home hungry. We did report this to another colleague of that lady and she was very nice. Unfortunately the staff can't do anything about it, but I really felt bad that I paid so much for nothing. A major disappointment! And again, the lady at the beginning, very sassy! And the food is DEFINITELY not worth the price

Mojo in Utrecht is a nice place to eat. The food was really tasty, with lots of choice and well prepared. Every meal tasted good, and the dishes looked beautiful too. What makes this place extra special is the interior. It is beautifully and comfortably furnished, so you immediately feel at ease. It's a really nice atmosphere to sit and enjoy your food. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. They were prompt and made sure we had everything we needed, which made the experience even better. All in all, Mojo is highly recommended if you are in Utrecht. Delicious food, a beautiful interior and friendly service make it definitely worth it!

Tonight had a nice evening dine in at my first time in beautiful centrale location of Utrecht at Mo-jo Japanse Kitchen. The place looks very beautiful and we could hear the nice aqoustic sound of the music playing in the background as we were guided to our tables. The waitress was very polite and explain to us how to order the food by QR code and pay attention not to waste food) I am old classic guy used to pen and paper, I guess time have change to QR code every person need a phone now to order and it was fun to pick your favorite sushi ). The food looks beautiful like the place and it tasted delicious. Top notch salmon and tuna sashimi are splendid. Thank you kindly for your hospitality.

Unfortunately had a very bad experience here. 1. The food comes very late. 2. Much of what you order is not served. 3. The food is not fresh, and the atmosphere inside is very chaotic. The restaurant smells strongly of food and a bad smell. 4. In the last hour you will be asked several times about how much time you have left to order, as many as three times in one hour. 5. I really don't understand how this restaurant got such a high score! The food is very disappointing. Nothing tastes fresh and even the dishes you pay for have no taste. Moreover, they charge €40 per person, but it takes a very long time before the food is on the table. The QR code ordering system is inconvenient: everyone at the table has to order at the same time, otherwise you have to wait minutes before you can add something again. Very frustrating. For me this was the first and last time I come here!

I don’t think is worth the money. We had 1:30 to sit, order and pay (I miss understand 2:30). You need to eat super fast. The food was OK but nothing wow. Most of the rolls had some mayo which hide all the taste. On top of that many dishes have extra costs. The atmosphere was not relaxing. We were there for an hour and spent 100€ by adding water, one glass of wine and a glass of bier.

What a disappointment. The reviews on Google do not sufficiently reflect our experience. The sushi was tasteless, the salmon was probably salmon trout, it doesn't taste right. The gunkans were very dirty with a bitter and artificial taste. Basically all the raw fish was very meh in taste. The only sushi that was tasty was with the eel and with cream cheese salmon salad. It all felt very rushed, we had from 5:30 PM to 6:45 PM, but at 6:30 PM we were already told that we could no longer order. The second round took so long to arrive that we were able to order the third round and they came at the same time. Mojo is big but it seemed like the staff couldn't handle it. The service was polite and the rounds only last 8 minutes, which was positive. Way too much money for what you expect.

Booked more than a week in advance and requested a nice spot inside the restaurant. Unfortunately, we were given a spot immediately upon arrival, which had a very unpleasant atmosphere because we had something to celebrate. Once before we sat right under cold air conditioning, upstairs in the restaurant. So a good spot is important!! Waitress didn't really feel like it. But the food is always excellent.

Sushi is really worthless. Dry and old. Tepanyaki is also really unprofessional. We got our food half cooked and half raw twice. Waitresses and servers are also very distant and not friendly. They hardly talk. And when you get the food, they quickly walk past and almost throw it on the table without saying anything while they quickly walk on. Orders were also not thrown on the table at the same time. Always small snacks and plates with large intervals so you can't eat properly. Menu is also limited. It is more of a Moroccan restaurant than an Asian place. 1st time for me.....100 euros flushed down the toilet. I will never go there again......!!

Ordered via home delivery. Food was delivered as agreed but was not what I ordered. Ingredients I didn't like/was allergic to. Immediately tried to contact us but the restaurant was already closed. Also reported the problem via home delivery but never heard anything. I was able to throw half away. Poor communication and service.
