What an incredibly bad experience. This was without a doubt one of the worst all-you-can-eat restaurants we have ever eaten at. The sushi was tough and gave absolutely no impression of being fresh. The quality and presentation were far below par and completely incomparable to other all-you-can-eat sushi restaurants. The side dishes were also simply not good and were a huge disappointment. Additionally, we both became quite ill after this visit with symptoms that strongly reminded us of food poisoning. Naturally, that makes the experience completely unacceptable. Finally, we found the staff to be particularly rude and unprofessional. The way we were treated only made the poor quality of the food worse. All in all, a very disappointing experience. Poor quality, poor service, and for us, absolutely not a place where we will eat again. As far as we are concerned, 1 star is already too much.

Unfortunately, my experience at this restaurant was very disappointing. I didn't like the food at all, and I even vomited after eating. As a result, my evening was naturally very unpleasant. I also didn't think the service was good. I didn't feel helped very well and had expected more attention and service. However, I do want to honestly mention that two free drinks were eventually offered. I considered that a decent gesture in itself, but unfortunately, it couldn't completely make up for my bad experience with the food and service. All in all, I had hoped for a pleasant evening with tasty food and good service, but unfortunately, things turned out differently. I hope the restaurant takes this feedback into account and improves the quality of the food and service in the future.

Unfortunately, it was not a good experience. Part of the food was cold when it was served. Furthermore, the staff did not come across as very professional. The person I was with became nauseous and vomited after the meal. As a gesture, we were offered two drinks on the house, which I thought was nice. However, that does not change the fact that the overall experience was disappointing. I will not be coming back here anytime soon.

Delicious food, great service, and the ordered sushi arrived quickly. I return here regularly with my family because the menu is updated frequently. We also appreciate that a lot of the (chicken) sushi is halal.

You can eat well here, the staff brings your food quickly, and they are friendly. The extra step that would make it better is missing.

It's quite pricy, BUT! It's all you can eat. Options vary from sushi to lamb steaks to fries. We had 6 people and tried pretty much everything. All the food was delicious! Really recommend to start ordering tiny portions, because you can have 20 courses within 2.5 hours and we barely made it to 6 :D

The food was fine, but unfortunately the service was not. We had to ask for cutlery and wasabi several times. When paying the bill, we were served by the owner, who came across as very unfriendly and arrogant. As an owner, you are supposed to be the face of your establishment, but unfortunately, we saw very little of that. It is a shame, because the food was otherwise good.

We dined here tonight. The food and table service were fine. The women and the man who served us were friendly, polite, and answered all our questions properly. Unfortunately, our experience with the host and the bill was much less pleasant. The host was already very unfriendly on the phone when making the reservation. When we asked how much All You Can Eat cost per person after dinner, we were initially told that it was about €40 to €50 per person. Eventually, we received a bill of €178, and it turned out the price was suddenly €55 per person. The explanation we received for this was confusing and did not match what we had been told earlier. What I found most inappropriate was that when settling the bill, we were asked: “Where are you from?” We thought he meant which city we came from and answered: “Amsterdam.” Then he asked: “No, your origin.” We found that an unnecessary and uncomfortable question to ask paying guests. Too bad, because the food and table service were good. Due to the host's attitude and the way we were treated at checkout, our experience has unfortunately become significantly less positive.

The service was far too slow, causing plates to pile up on the table. The dishes were not explained, which was a shame. The interior, on the other hand, was very nice and atmospheric, and the desserts were very good. Unfortunately, the good ending could not fully make up for the mediocre service.

Very poor service. Everyone is grumpy. Food is just dumped on the table. If you ask something, they act as if they don't understand you. They don't clear the table. You sit with empty plates and glasses on the table all evening. If you ask if they want to take them away, they get angry. A real waste of my money. You book all-inclusive. With drinks. But you still have to pay for drinks separately. Never again.

Nice venue and interior, friendy professional hard working staff, quick and adequate service, amazing food, parking garage next to the restaurant. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! (Arguably best sushi & grill restaurant in Utrecht and surroundings)

The food was certainly delicious; they really have different flavor combinations compared to other sushi places. The drinks were also really tasty, especially the cocktails. I definitely recommend going there for a fun evening!

We have been coming here very regularly for (15) years and always enjoy the delicious food. We have tried something else before, but soon regret it: Sushi Today is really our number 1 and we are happy to drive 30 minutes for it.

We ate here for the second time in a short period. Unfortunately, I found the food a bit disappointing. Moreover, I turned 60 that day; I mentioned this when making the reservation, but absolutely nothing was done about it. 🫣 It was a big letdown for us.

We used to love coming here, but unfortunately that has now come to an end. Without notice, half the menu has been scrapped, including virtually all vegetarian options. So we had no choice but to leave, and since everything was fully booked on Valentine's Day, we are now stuck with a pizza from the supermarket. What a lousy evening, thanks a lot!

One of the best all-you-can-eat sushi restaurants in the Netherlands, and I have visited a lot. What is particularly pleasant is the quality of what they serve and the super friendly staff. They really pay attention to the customer and serve you properly. Furthermore, the dessert bar is quite extensive, where you can choose from various options; highly recommended!

My tongue and throat immediately started burning. A report has been filed with the NVWA (Dutch Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority). The owner has offered no apologies.

Bad experience with this restaurant. It took 40 minutes for our order to arrive. Disinterested staff who simply threw the food away instead of bringing it to the table. The sushi tasted stale and was very sparse. Not recommended.

It was a real disappointment. First and last time for me! It felt like yesterday's food was leftover. The pickled cucumbers were incredibly soft. The chicken was cold. The sushi wasn't fresh. On the other hand, the staff was friendly. Not worth the money!

We had sushi here today with my family. The food itself was good, but unfortunately the service really spoiled the experience. The waiters and waitresses were rude in the way they handled the dishes plates were placed on the table in a rough and careless manner, which felt disrespectful. Another issue was that when we ordered a round of sushi, it didn’t arrive all at once. Instead, dishes kept coming in stages, which was inconvenient and disruptive. It made it hard to enjoy the meal together, and the constant interruptions became very annoying. The most upsetting part was when one of my family members suddenly felt unwell, possibly due to a reaction to the food or a drop in blood pressure. He needed to lie down on a chair. Instead of showing concern or asking if he needed help, the waitress only commented that he should put his shoes back on for hygiene reasons. There was no empathy or understanding shown in that moment, which was very disappointing. While the food was good, the poor service and lack of basic care completely overshadowed the experience. Unfortunately, we left with a very negative impression.

The food was decent. The service was rude, but the woman at the front of the register, who occasionally served drinks, had dark-light hair and was somewhat larger than life, and was extremely antisocial! We were deliberately ignored several times and weren't even asked if we wanted an explanation or anything. It was our first time eating here; they showed us to a table and just walked away? But we had to figure it out ourselves. You shouldn't hire staff like that! I only see children serving... They don't know what they're doing.

The food was very good. The service: business like, no smile or words,... just putting the ordered food on the table. Too busy? The app, to order the bites and drinks didn't work 100%.: we filled in 6 x a bite and the summ in the app said 5. This happened three times. The dessert possibilities: endless good.

What appalling service. I've rarely experienced such disrespectful service. The waitress literally slammed the plates onto the table. No exaggeration: one plate was slammed so hard that the sauce splattered all over the table. This isn't haste, it's antisocial behavior. We reported this to colleagues twice. Nothing was done about it!

We recently dined at Sushi Today in Utrecht. The ambiance is elegant and the restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere; in that respect, you truly step into a lovely setting. We were also pleasantly surprised by the food. We'd heard mixed reviews beforehand, but to be fair: the dishes were delicious and beautifully prepared. Kudos to the kitchen, especially since dining out is quite expensive these days and we're quite critical. However, we felt there was room for improvement in the service. We visibly missed teamwork and hospitality. The staff seemed primarily preoccupied with handling orders, without a smile or a friendly interaction. Dishes were placed on the table without attention, often perched precariously on the edge of the table, and a request to remove dishes was met with annoyance, accompanied by eye-rolls. That's not a pleasant experience for the customer. The contrast with the kitchen is stark: they clearly make an effort there. The service staff, on the other hand, seemed unconcerned about how their attitude comes across to the guests, while as a customer, you already do a lot yourself—ordering, going to the dessert buffet, paying for your own meal. For a price that can reach around €60 per person, including drinks, you can expect the service to be, at the very least, friendly and attentive. We understand the restaurant's concept, but hospitality is something that costs little and yields a lot. Especially since many people work hard to afford a meal out, a little smile, an explanation of the dishes, and a little more care in the service would make a big difference. Hopefully, Sushi Today can use this feedback to further improve the experience, because the quality of the food and the beautiful ambiance form a strong foundation.

Delicious food wide menu, come here monthly with my family.

Our regular sushi place and the kids are so happy that the dessert buffet with a chocolate fountain is back. The staff is friendly and kind to children, and families sit in their own corner so you don't disturb others. The sushi is always fresh and delicious. Since my last review, the sushi has improved—it's not as salty anymore, and a few other things have been added to the hot menu. The only thing that could be improved is the noodles; we'd love to see a children's version—not as dark brown and a bit sweeter. But otherwise, it's great!

I went there for dinner on my birthday on November 19th. The food was delicious and the service was fast. Definitely recommended. It's also great that drinks are included, so you always know what you're paying. Keep up the good work, sushi today!!

Yesterday I celebrated my birthday with my family at Sushi Today Utrecht. The atmosphere is nice, and we were comfortably seated. Once you order, your order arrives quickly. Nothing arrives half an hour after ordering. The service was fast and friendly. The sushi was delicious, but the rice fell apart a bit. The menu is varied enough if you don't eat sushi very often. The dessert buffet was a big surprise. At most sushi restaurants, the dessert is a trifle, which doesn't really fit Japanese culture, but this one was truly extensive and delicious! We had a wonderful evening and were pleasantly surprised!

Very modern decor and great food, though it's a bit of a letdown that everything works with a QR code (so make sure your phone is charged). The food was delicious, and everything was served quickly and fresh. The quality has really improved since the renovation. The table was cleared quickly, making room for the next rounds. No messy tables. The dessert buffet is extensive and delicious. Ordering is done via your phone, which is handy to know beforehand ;-) You can also order on multiple phones simultaneously. The atmosphere is pleasant. Nice decor and comfortable seating. 4 stars instead of 5 stars for the service because of the friendliness of the staff. Not very chatty and radiant.

A very disappointing experience – absolutely not recommended. For the price you pay, I expected much higher quality. The rice was dry and tasted like it had been old for days. The sushi was sloppily prepared and had little to no flavor. None of the dishes were tasty or fresh. As a pastry chef, I was especially disappointed with the desserts: the pastries were clearly old and completely dried out – truly inedible. The videos circulating on TikTok give a completely distorted picture. Either they were paid for or downright misleading, otherwise I can't explain it. Even the meat and shrimp were of poor quality. I still feel sick from the meal a day later. A waste of my time and money. I absolutely do not recommend this restaurant.

I went here for my brother's 52nd birthday with my family, grandma, and the birthday boy. It was delicious, more than enough, and we had plenty of time to enjoy it. You order via a QR code on your table, can use multiple phones to browse the menus simultaneously so you don't have to wait for each other, and then, just press "order," and within 10 minutes, your first bites are on the table. If you drive and park at Qpark, you even get a discount on parking. Great service.

My family and I have been here many times, and it's truly our favorite restaurant. The food is delicious, and everything is served very quickly. We do secretly miss the old-fashioned way of marking the menu, but it works perfectly fine by phone. It's nice that the touch-screen buffet is back. It's a bit of a chicken coop, though, and it can get a bit loud. The last time we were there, there was a girl on a scooter who kept going back and forth, which was a bit annoying, but otherwise nothing out of the ordinary. It's a bit pricey, but definitely worth it!

Delicious food. Staff could only take a course in customer service because no employee could say please. You also sit very close to other tables. So close that you can listen to Gerda complaining about the vermin in her garden.

After all the rave reviews we had very high expectations. The sushi was tasty, but we honestly expected more. In our opinion there was limited choice in meat and not all sushi was equally tasty. The dessert buffet is a nice addition, but also not more special than usual.

Surprise from my children on father's day. Eating out at sushi today at the FC Utrecht stadium. Very cozy and delicious food! Really recommended and I will definitely go there again. Very nice service, fast and just fine.

Last minute called if they still had a table available on a Friday night. They thought along well and made room for us. The service is also top! The food was also excellent and fresh. You have a lot of choice also in desserts. I am very satisfied!

Cozy restaurant, good food, but unfortunately the service walks around with a face like an earwig without saying a single word (e.g. please) and without a friendly smile. There was 1 exception and that was a very friendly cheerful young man, who served as it should be. Room for improvement!
