Moeke Scheveningen in Wijk 02 Belgisch Park

We discovered this cozy restaurant on the Scheveningen boulevard a while ago. The staff greeted us warmly upon arrival, making us immediately feel welcome. The decor is cozy, beautiful and inviting, just what you want for a relaxing meal. The food was delicious; my eggs benedict were fantastic and my husband's burger looked great. The menu offers something for everyone, whether you come for breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner. It was also important to us that dogs are welcome. It was nice to be able to take them with us after a lovely walk on the beach. All in all, for a wonderful and relaxing experience by the sea, Moeke is highly recommended. Friendly staff, good food and a relaxed atmosphere more than complete the picture. We look forward to visiting again soon.

I always enjoy coming here when I'm in Scheveningen. Everything is just great here. The food, the service and the ambience are simply great.

Camera crew Yesterday my boyfriend and I went to your place for lunch because we had something to celebrate. We ordered latte, fried eggs and cheese croquettes. After the food was served, we saw nothing or no one from the service. A camera crew had now come in, and all the attention suddenly focused on that. We still had the dirty cups from the previous guests on our table, and these were not removed. Several people around us were leaving, but they could not pay. There are more and more messy/uncleared tables here. New people who came in turned around. Great advertising for your business! We ate our food, but would have liked a second cup of coffee or something else festive. But we didn't see anyone anymore. During the meal there was no one to ask if everything was to our liking, and if we wanted coffee and/or something else. We just didn't see the waiter again. I eventually went to the bar to ask for clarification, but I was told that the bartender was also upset about it. I thought that was quite strange. When a guest indicates that something is wrong, you solve it. Or you bring in a colleague. We finally settled. That was accompanied by a deep sigh because I paid for the cast. I didn't get any change, and I didn't see the waitress again. I don't think you can blindly assume that you can keep the change, so I'll say that. Normally I'm happy to tip, but not now. I went to the toilet, which looked rancid and had run out of toilet paper. It strikes me that there was not enough attention for the guests yesterday, and what should have been a festive lunch left us with a very unpleasant feeling. We left with a bad feeling. I think our lunch experience yesterday was far below par. And I think it's a shame that you only paid attention to the camera crew. I'm curious what you think about this. For us it was a waste of money.

Dredging tent. Staff are busier with each other than with customers. Prices are a bit high. After paying, the waiter came to tell us that 'possibly' the payment had not been debited. The payment was debited (checked internet banking). He demanded that we pay a second time. Because the debited amount would be refunded. Dick story. I wanted to leave details just in case, but they didn't agree either. We had to pay twice!!! I eventually called the police, who urged the waiter to be reasonable. This place is terrible. I hope that place goes bankrupt soon.

The staff is driven and does their best, but they are not attuned to each other and are all trying to learn the Dutch language. As a starter I had poached egg with salmon on a brioche. Unfortunately the poached egg was not soft on the inside. This was indicated, but it was not understood that this was not the case. Then chef's special: tuna with sesame. Asked if this was raw tuna, which was quickly 'seared' all around. It was indicated that he thought so. I asked if he wanted to check with the chef, after which he confirmed that this was the case. Unfortunately, when the tuna arrived it was well cooked and slightly pink on the inside. Such a shame. In short... I think you can really eat well there and I was unlucky, but don't put things on the menu that the chef cannot make. The double espresso with a glass of water was good. Unfortunately the toilets were not fresh.

Delicious food, and we had a really attentive and nice waiter (rare these days).

We were there tonight, what a fantastic restaurant, we had a delicious meal, very good service, extremely friendly, good atmosphere, the whole restaurant looks so cozy, highly recommended!

We stopped by for coffee after dinner, we liked it very much. The atmosphere was very nice, the employees were friendly, the service was high quality. We would like to come again.

It was dirty, furniture dirty, floor dirty, no one spoke Dutch.

Moeke is what we call mothers. It is a very nice cozy restaurant/cafe where you can sit comfortably, plenty of places. The atmosphere is very good and you feel that immediately when you enter. Nice staff, friendly and fast. Also had dinner there at lunchtime, excellent menu with excellent prices. In short, definitely worth a visit!!

Easter Sunday, the 5 of us had a bite to eat at Moeke Scheveningen. The lady at the door directed us to a nice big table in the corner. The next lady who came to the table first told us that we had to move if a large group came in...no good afternoon, nothing...hospitality? Ordered a drink and then made a choice from the menu. After the dishes were served, no one was seen at the table. Service is chatting pleasantly at the bar. No check whether everything is satisfactory, empty glasses but no request for an extra drink. My son's pancake was thick and dry, so evenly lightly fried that my impression is that it was not baked myself but bought ready-made. Too bad and unnecessary. There is still a lot to learn here in terms of hospitality. After all the plates are empty and we ask for the bill, we are only asked if we want something to drink. We pass and pay for this. There is no receipt, everything is read from the handheld. Saucer with a bill and a few mints? Hospitality…. Bill was paid neatly by card and literally after 2 minutes another lady with the friendly request to sit at another table as a group of 16 pax had arrived... We quickly put on our coats and left. Off to the Foodhal for another drink and a delicious dessert… no more Moeke Scheveningen for us…

The starter arrived quite quickly after ordering and was delicious. But the main court song took a long time to arrive and we waited at least an hour for our food. We had booked a movie afterwards so it was all scratch. We'll probably come again sometime, but we won't book a movie afterwards

Delicious food, friendly service. What else do you want. We especially like the meatball, tired burger or oriental chicken sandwich. 5 stars for me

Had a drink with my partner at the end of the evening. Large space with plenty of places. Unfortunately, it was a bit noisy due to the high ceiling and little cushioning furnishings. Nicely decorated.

We went for a coffee but the staff was distracted, so it took longer than it should to bring our order (even though it was just 2 lattes). Also at the end they mistaken the check. If we didn't notice, we would have had to pay more than double.

Super cozy, delicious dinner and friendly staff. Also take allergies into account. Really great!

After our disastrous experience last year (see previous review), we decided to give Moeke another chance this year on a follow-up visit to Scheveningen. Went in just for a cup of coffee, thought little could go wrong with this. Upon arrival we were allowed to choose a table, so we did this. After waiting 20 minutes, we still didn't see anyone, suddenly someone came and announced that this section was closed (while there were other people there?) and we had to sit elsewhere. This was done, fifteen minutes later no one was at the table to take an order. Tried to beckon someone several times without any results. This, while they knew perfectly well that we were here, was at their own request. The people next to us had also been waiting for the bill for a long time and complaining, they were told that payment could only be made at the bar, but at the bar they were sent back to the table! Once again a very negative experience, so I ended up walking away and drinking delicious coffee elsewhere, which was on the table within 5 minutes. There will be a response to this again that this is not as it should be and that I should contact you, but I did this properly last time and did not receive any response to this either. Customer friendliness is clearly at the bottom of Moeke Scheveningen's priority list! Very unfortunate, because the business is in a good location and is very beautiful. Never again for us.

Casual atmosphere with good staff, good price-quality ratio

Delicious food. We ordered a BBQ burger (received Flemish fries) and a ball of carpaccio, both tasted delicious! Nice staff, take the time to tell you what the soup of the day is and the daily special. You have a wide choice of various seating areas, from cozy together to sitting by the window with a view of the sea.

Delicious food. Good, friendly service. I regularly asked if everything was still satisfactory. Even though it is a large place, it is decorated in such a way that it looks small and cozy. Highly recommended.

If you want frozen olives from the microwave, then you've come to the right place There is a piece of meat on your hamburger that is unrecognizable. It's definitely not beef Looks like a German frikadel, which is a kind of meatball. I haven't left a hamburger yet Well, as a Limburger I obviously have no ''taste'' I would still skip this restaurant.

It took a very long time when I was there with my 3 year old grandson, I asked if I could have a fristi for him right away (the boy was terribly thirsty) and was promised but it certainly took another 20 minutes. I didn't get a tea bag with my tea, it would be arranged right away... .. so not .... water had now cooled down. With dinner the pancake for my grandson was forgotten (making a child wait while our food was already in front of us !!!!! ) the kid gets his pancake, it is cold and not well boy had a small piece.... tasted it himself.... and indeed a pancake from the supermarket tastes better, all in all, service is not your thing for the prices charged

The atmosphere looked very nice, but it took way too long for us to be helped. Even though it wasn't that busy at all. So we went a few tents further and went to eat. This is very unfortunate

Laatst alleen koffie/thee gedronken met een vriendin en haar hondje. Vriendelijk en attent personeel; dachten ook aan water voor haar hondje. Tijdens een druppelbuitje mochten we binnen zitten; er was gelukkig plek genoeg. Verder een hele fijne ervaring.

Very cozy, helpful staff and simple yet wide variety in their menu. Also have a nice choice of beers and other special deinks! Highly recommend!

Eten was smakelijk, alleen de chimichurri viel niet in de smaak. Teveel rode peper en olijf (dat laatste hoort van origine niet in chimichurri). Bavette wordt niet geserveerd met frieten, zoals op de kaart staat, maar met een paar aardappeltjes. Verder was bediening in orde en locatie fijn.

Eten prima en de prijs ook het was helemaal niet druk en toch duurde het even voordat iemand de drankjes kwam opnemen dat was jammer, verder alles prima naar wens.

Prima locatie voor een drankje maar de hoeveelheid wijn per glas was niet helemaal in verhouding met de prijs van 7.50 euro

Hele leuke plek met zalig eten. Ik had alleen een toetje en Moeke's soes is een aanrader!

Wir hatten als Vorspeise die Käsekroketten und als Hauptgericht die vegane Lasagne und das Schnitzel mit Stroganoff-Sauce. Alles war sehr lecker und die Bedienung überaus freundlich und zuvorkommend. Gab auch keine lange Wartezeiten. Preise sind angemessen für das was man bekommt. Wir kommen im nächsten Urlaub gerne wieder.

Ontzettend gezellig met vriendelijke bediening en lekker eten

Op zaterdagavond was het niet druk. De cappuccino was erg goed. Daarna de zalmfilet, deze was erg lekker klaargemaakt met frites en mayo. Iets meer groente er bij had gemogen. We moeten erg lang op de thee wachten, maar ik ga er van uit dat dit een incident was. De bediening was erg vriendelijk. Ook een toiletbezoek was gewenst en de herentoilet zag er spik en span uit. Erg schoon en netjes. Dat zie je wel eens anders helaas. Kortom, het was erg geslaagd en kom zeker nogmaals terug.

Total freundliche ältere Dame die sich um uns gekümmert hat, vielleicht die Chefin? Hatten eine Portion Pommes und eine Platte mit Spiegelei usw. bestellt. Beim Spiegelei auf der Platte ist etwas schief gegangen und es war etwas drauf, was nicht drauf gehört, aber passieren kann! Die Dame hat Super freundlich reagiert und uns sofort angeboten es auszutauschen, wollten wir dann nicht sondern wollten noch eine Portion Pommes. Die Pommes waren einer der besten Pommes die wir in Scheveningen gegessen haben, als Nachtisch einen Käsekuchen bestellt. Ich sag mal so, ab jetzt, steht dieser Käsekuchen ganz oben auf der Liste der to-do‘s wenn wir in Scheveningen sind, es war der absolut beste Käsekuchen den wir gegessen haben! PS: die Dame hat die Pommes die als Ersatz für die Platte bestellt wurden nicht auf die Rechnung gesetzt, feiner Zug! Bleibt nur zu sagen, bis BALD!
