Mooca in Hoofddorp

No matter how often we order from here, we just can't seem to order/get an egg that isn't fried to bits. You end up with an egg with a burnt barbecue flavor. So, I'll just eat it instead of sending it back...

I don't want to give one star because the service was friendly and it's a pretty good coffee shop, but €5 for a cortado is a bit much. A cortado is an espresso shot with some warm milk; how can that cost €5? Ridiculous. It's also strange, considering a cappuccino (which is actually larger) is cheaper.

Cute place , the staff was nice and always smiling, The dish I took was yummy and a vegan option : the RAVIOLI Vegan tuinerwt ravioli met hummus van tuinerwt, palmkool krokant, beurre blanc en chili olie, RECOMMAND ! I also had a classic berries tea ☕️,

Takes a long time and the food is not great despite the fact that it looks good.

It's always nice to have a cup of coffee, a snack or a nice glass of wine on the terrace

The famous surf and turf sandwich was a dough ball; warming up the flatbread or baking it off was also an option. There were plenty of people around, but getting food from the pass to the guests took a very long time. As a result, the fries were lukewarm and the fresh toasted sandwiches tasted stale. There simply wasn't enough leadership in the kitchen to ensure everything was ready simultaneously and in the service to improve the service.

We went for a coffee, the place is good and the coffee was nice. The service was outstanding and always with a smile. I highly recommend visiting.

A cozy spot where you can enjoy a delicious lunch or breakfast. The menu offers interesting items, always a hit. Very affordable by Dutch standards too!

Second time dine-in at Mooca, the food still incredible, the service was great but the times were a bit slow guess because the place was packed!! However I have enjoyed my meal.

Surf and turf sandwich (2x), tonic water, and ginger tea. Original idea, but I thought one shrimp was a bit too basic. And it actually needed ground pepper and salt, so it wasn't very seasoned. But otherwise, it tasted great, and I'll definitely visit Mooca more often for (business) lunches.

Trendy place, pleasant atmosphere, cozy

Went here for light lunch after shopping. We were allowed to sit wherever we want, which was nice. Very friendly young waitresses, efficient and attentive. Ordering was swift and the food was well prepared and tasty. And they served freshly squeezed oranges…! We recommend and will be back again.

Pretty decent place to eat Breakfast or lunch, but was a bit disappointed when I ordered medium rare Angus hamburger but ended up with a well done burger, still good but didn't live up to expectations. Cozy place to eat

We come here often. The food is excellent. We specifically ordered without bacon, but it was delivered anyway. We pointed this out. It would have been good service if it had been removed from the receipt. They eventually did when we asked. So, fine. Better luck next time.

We had a delicious lunch. You can choose from a regular carpaccio sandwich, but also from special sandwiches like eggplant and mushroom ragout. The eggplant was truly delicious and a true work of art. The service was excellent and friendly, and the atmosphere was cozy.

We liepen toevallig langs dit restaurant en het zag er in eerste instantie gezellig en uitnodigend uit, dus besloten we spontaan om hier iets te eten. Op de kaart werd een broodje aangeprezen als “Winnaar lekkerste lunchroombroodje van Nederland 2024!”, dus dat maakte ons nieuwsgierig. Helaas viel het zwaar tegen. Het broodje had nauwelijks smaak, zat vol met veel te veel sla en er lag letterlijk maar één zielige garnaal op. Echt totaal niet lekker – zelfs misselijk makend. Mijn vriend had een uitsmijter, maar ook die was saai en flauw – niks bijzonders. De bediening was nog erger dan het eten. Ze stonden met z’n vieren achter de bar te kletsen en leken totaal niet bezig met de gasten. Ons drankje werd vergeten en toen we daar – na tien minuten – iets van zeiden, kregen we een arrogante reactie in plaats van een simpel excuus. Daarbovenop werden we ook nog continu aangestaard door het personeel, wat een ongemakkelijk en onwelkom gevoel gaf. Al met al was dit een bijzonder vervelende ervaring. Ziet er leuk uit van buiten, maar dat is helaas ook het enige positieve. Wij komen hier nooit meer terug.

2 jaar geleden voor het eerst gelunched drinken was snel eten na een uur nog niet dus uiteindelijk 2 x na gevraagd, oké jammer 2e keer met vriendinnen , drinken kwam snel eten na uur nog niet , vragen dame zegt duurt nog kwartiertje na kwartier nog niks mensen die later kwamen gingen met eten op alweer weg Weer vragen ja komt er aan na 1.30 u nog niks , toen we op wilde staan kwam het dan eindelijk , ik denk ik kom hier niet meer klaar mee , maar vandaag toch oké nog 1 x proberen , drinken was snel , 2e rondje drinken was weer snel maar eten nee he niet weer en ja hoor weer uur verder , weer vragen zegt ze u heeft pas 17 minuten geleden besteld wat niet waar was want we zaten er al een uur ! Maar nu is het wel klaar hoor 3x is scheepsrecht ik ga hier niet meer heen ! Het zal wel aan mij liggen !

Hvis man er til et lækkert veltilberedt morgen/frokost måltid med en meget god kop kaffe, så er Mooca stedet. Rigtig hyggelig café og serviceminded personalet. Vi kommer igen.

Just had a delicious lunch: a marinated chicken sandwich and a surf and turf sandwich. To finish, we enjoyed hot chocolate with whipped cream and mint tea with carrot cake.

Super cozy tent and the food is delicious, especially the omelette and the bouncer

A very bad experience. My wife and I walked in and weren't greeted warmly. We just sat down at a table, while three other tables who had arrived later received menus and were able to order. We were "forgotten." I asked a staff member if she could serve us, and she told me I'd have to wait a bit longer. After five minutes, we left. I don't know if this behavior is because we're brown, but it certainly felt that way. We eat out a lot, are always dressed smartly, and enjoy dining out. I'll never come back here again.

We come here for lunch almost every week, always good here, just a pity that there are very young staff around who are not well trained, nice lunchroom.

Food itself is good. The gyozas could really be prepared better. I like them better when they are a little bit crispy on one side. And these were really more steamed. I've had better anyway... Truffle fries were delicious, a tip is to replace the bread on the carpaccio, it could really be better. Overall enjoyed it!

Came here for the first time. We had to wait 45 minutes for our order while the restaurant was not even half occupied. The surf and turf was a complete joke. It was more like lettuce and the applied beef tartare was very scanty. Why does this sandwich get an award (favoritism?) According to the menu, the grilled eggplant came with a pita bread, but in practice there was half a torn off part and a quarter piece. Now I understand the reviews, which state that price/quality is not in proportion. We also noticed that products were left standing on the distribution counter near the kitchen for more than 10 minutes. This was the first and last time.

I ordered a delicious falafel burger, the fries were also very delicious and my friend ordered croquettes, they were good, good service and good atmosphere, ideal for breakfast or lunch

Of course I tasted the Surf & Turf. Service super nice, fast and pleasant. Sandwich not cheap, but beautifully made and delicious and fresh in taste. Add Gretel and a nice Tripel beer. As a tip I would like to give: put some local special beer on the menu such as Haarlemmermeer BE+ER (much tastier and more exclusive than Texel). Also include a carpaccio sandwich, just as good in quality as the Surf & Turf. I would say: go and taste it for yourself at Mooca.

I was planning to have a quick lunch, but I ended up sitting on the terrace for more than 1.5 hours, simply because it is a wonderfully quiet spot, the staff is super friendly and they really make you feel very welcome. , and the coffee is good. Relaxed and had a delicious meal! Highly recommended!

Buitensporige prijzen Het bekende standaard werk om te lunchen. Tafeltjes dicht op elkaar. Ben door 4 verschillende mensen bediend. 13,50 voor 2 kroketten met brood. Niks bijzonders. Vloerbrood is niet bijzonder en de kroketten komen uit een grootverpakking. Colaatje, verkleinwoord want je krijgt een heel klein flesje, 3,55. Prijs is over de top en hoort niet bij dit niveau. Even verderop dit zelfde plein kon ik een week eerder voor 20-25% minder hetzelfde krijgen. En dat was van het zelfde “prima” niveau. Bij Mooca draait het om geld. Als je dat weet en prima vind: ga je gang.

Eten was goed en lekker, maar € 13,50 voor 2 bruine boterhammen en 1 bolletje tonijnsalade ? Niet naar verhouding en dat is jammer.

Me and my parents were treated well by the services and it is very cozy and fun and pleasant to be there and we were the last customers there and the services are just patient with you, to let you eat until everything is gone !, and they take sick people into account, because I have epilepsy and that was taken into account and that is very sweet of them and the food is very tasty and good and they also allow you to change something in your food because that is what they think not a big deal and they take allergies into account and they are very friendly and polite and calm and patient, again, I and my parents are so happy and you can also sit outside in front of the restaurant, especially when the sun is shining, enjoy!, that's why I write this long review because they deserved it!, people reading this review ^_^ 😃 😁 thank you/thanks for reading people!!!!!! 😃😁🙂👍🏻😇^_^.

As American tourists it was wonderful that the host spoke English. Delicious food and great atmosphere. Highly recommend. The gluten free surcharge wasn’t bad either.

This tent sells tomcats on King's Day for €2.85 EACH, which they pick up at the Hema 50 meters away for €2.85 for 4 pieces. A pity. We won't come here again.

I have been coming to Mooca for years and always order a marinated chicken sandwich. I always ask for 2 extra pieces of chicken as this is not enough for the entire sandwich. Now, to my horror, I found out that I have to pay an additional 5.50 euros for this!! My complaint to the owner is dismissed with the excuse of price increases. But 5.50 euros for 2 pieces of chicken has NOTHING to do with a price increase, that's just ripping off. This is how they treat regular customers!! Scandalous!!

Service is excellent, the choice of food is limited and I don't think the price-quality ratio is appropriate. €19 euros for a small basic burger without extras THATS IT! Literally a bun, a lettuce leaf, a hamburger that does not taste good and contains hard pieces, a slice of tomato, sauce and dried onions... very pricey for what you get! No fries or salad included. Not value for money unfortunately, this makes it not attractive to come again.

I came there to have lunch with my girlfriend. There was still a table of 4 available.. astonished by an answer, we were not allowed to sit there because it was for 4 and not 2.. Unbelievable, we left and will never go there again... and will tell as many people as possible...

My wife and I ate at Mooca for the first time yesterday at lunch. It is not the intention on this occasion to walk in and choose a table yourself. A sign at the entrance draws your attention to this. This is probably related to an equal distribution in the restaurant of the service, with each staff member taking care of their own part. During our stay we caught 4 mosquitoes that bothered us. We took the marinated chicken dish in a spicy sauce from the menu. The dish looked beautiful and the meat was well prepared, tender and delicious. Unfortunately: I am used to spicy dishes, but this was really too much for me, fishing out the red pieces of pepper turned out to be the solution. I think I'll eat something different next time. The atmosphere in the restaurant was good and the service was quick and friendly. The restaurant has an open kitchen.

Very friendly staff and fast service. However, the cafe is covered in mosquitoes and animals in the winter. Unfortunately I couldn't sit still for a second without there being another mosquito.

This cafe in Hoofddorp Centrum is a hidden gem! The ambiance is warm and inviting, perfect for a relaxing hangout or catch-up session with friends. Their coffee and chocolade milk are superb, and the pastries are fresh and delicious. Highly recommended as my new favorite spot in town!

Last summer I was here, very warm day. I felt so thirsty after shopping. And I found here terrace! I had 2 drinks and very friendly waitress! I recommend here.

I have eaten here several times and find the food very tasty. The food is of good quality and so is the coffee. The staff is super friendly and there was immediately a good atmosphere upon entering. I will definitely come here more often. You can also enjoy school or work here, which I do regularly. It is definitely recommended

This time, I went to "MOOCA" in Hoopdrobe, Amsterdam, Netherlands. This is a restaurant where you can enjoy burrata, hamburgers, egg plants, sandwiches, etc. All of the dishes were carefully seasoned and combined with fresh vegetables to create a satisfying plate, and the dishes were so delicious that they were addicting. The atmosphere inside the store was very good, and it was a very comfortable space that was fun, yet relaxing and soothing. I would love to visit you again!

Naast de gewilde, standaard lunchgerechten slaagt de kok erin verrassende broodjes en lunchgerechten op de kaart te zetten. Meestal gemaakt op de Big Green Egg. Dat is dan ook te proeven. Ga zo door!

Esperienza gastronomica interessante, piatti sfiziosi anche per vegetariani, sempre molto ben preparati. Anche la parte caffetteria è molto varia. Personale premuroso e gentile locale naturalmente molto affollato ma in genere l'attesa non è mai troppo lunga. Ci torno ogni volta con molto piacere.

Mooca is voor ons altijd even een rustpuntje als we door Hoofddorp winkelcentrum banjeren. Even een bakkie en ontspannen. Fijne bediening en gezellige sfeer. Latte macchiato maakt het plaatje compleet. Aanrader.

Prima tent, aardig personeel, gezellige ambiance, lekker eten. Maar alstjeblieft: maak die deurdranger een keer. De meeste klanten zijn namelijk in de kerk geboren…

Voor het eerst geweest bij Mooca, we waren verrast hoe mega druk het er was. We werden uitermate vriendelijk geholpen. Bediening top, lunch was zalig . Broodjes werden goed gevuld met beleg. Hier komen we zeker terug.

I never give 5 stars but I left my hat at the store our waitress chased me about 150 meters ( in her T shirt in 8 degree weather) to return it to me. That is 5 star customer service. Every time in return to that shopping area I intend to stop and get something there even if it a simple cup of to go coffee.

Vandaag hier gelunched. Het personeel was vriendelijk en serveerde al het eten vlot uit. Menukaart is niet enorm groot, maar de keuze die ze hebben is erg lekker. De hamburger smaakte onwijs goed! Zeker een aanrader om te lunchen als je in hoofddorp bent.

Drinken stond er zo lang dat ik het zelf maar heb gepakt. burger en mozzarella sticks stonden er al zo lang dat het koud was. Burger bestelde ik zonder sla en bacon, ik kreeg hem met sla. Uiteraard terug gestuurd. Krijg ik alsnog een burger met bacon……vervolgens flikkert er voor me tafel een mozzarella stick uit het bakje tijdens het serveren. ik en mijn vriend allebei apart ons eten moeten opeten.

Op het pleintje in Hoofddorp centrum, wilde we koffie drinken. we gingen er op een zondag rond 1700 uur, het was niet heel erg druk. ik vond de bediening traag. Het was leeg, dus echt helemaal niet druk. Drie dames in de bediening die druk met elkaar aan het praten waren ipv ons bedienen. na de bestelling kwam ons thee (chai latte ) en capucinno en appeltaart wel snel. stoelen zijn niet heel comfortabel. sfeer was okay.
