WOODSTONE Pizza and Wine Hoofddorp in Hoofddorp

I don't know what it is with your gluten-free pizza crust, but it really has absolutely nothing to do with a real pizza. Not airy or crispy, but rather a dry, crumbly, cookie-like mess with burnt edges. So not tasty, and then you charge an extra 3 euros for it too. Maybe a course in baking delicious gluten-free pizza would be an option for you pizza bakers.

Nice place, tasty food, friendly staff. We received our pizzas/sandwiches quite soon (compared to our general NL experiences) and were just in time for our movie in the cinema just next door.

We had a delicious meal, pasta pollo polesto and a tira misi for dessert. The welcome was super friendly, the food was good, and it is cozy. It was hard to choose because there was so much tasty food. The pizza came straight from their own stone oven and was delicious too. This is highly recommended!

We had dinner with the three of us on Wednesday evening, and everyone's crust was very soggy/soft. I think the pizzas weren't in the oven long enough.

Had a truly delicious Mexican pizza. Something with peppers, avocado, and late-night chips. Nice freshly baked bread roll beforehand. Very friendly service. And a beer that I hadn't checked in at Untapped before. Many times better than I expected in a place like Hoofddorp. And a great place to eat the evening before a holiday flight from Schiphol.

I read multiple reviews about poor service and long waits, followed by a response from Woodstone stating that they are taking it seriously and will discuss it internally. Unfortunately, it still hasn't worked out. First of all, it was incredibly hot inside; okay, there is a heatwave outside, which is exactly why we hoped to find some coolness inside. No air conditioning? The service was very slow and inattentive. It took a long time. The bread board was forgotten and finally arrived after a long wait. Hardly any tables were occupied, I think 4; all three of us ordered a pizza. I have honestly never had to wait so long for a pizza (40 to 45 minutes while the restaurant is only 10 percent full?). There was no apology to be had, which is a shame. The pizza itself tasted good, though; there was nothing wrong with that. But by then we were so fed up with waiting that our hunger had disappeared. When paying, I mentioned to the waitress that it had taken an incredibly long time. "Thank you for your feedback, we will take it into consideration." I'm betting on a guarantee that only goes as far as the front door.

Went out for dinner with a friend. We had indicated that we had to leave soon, so we asked if we could pay immediately so we could have a drink once we were finished. When we received our pizza (half an hour later), we only got the bill after asking again, and eventually had to ask the waiter if we could please pay because we had to leave. I understand that with two people on the floor you are moving around a bit more, but we shouldn't have to ask three times.

Lovely place to go, wide selection, very friendly people, you can make a reservation but usually just walk in, cash or card payments accepted, had a delicious meal, also very suitable for large families and families with small and big children

We had a very disappointing experience at WOODSTONE Pizza and Wine Hoofddorp. We had a reservation for 8:30 PM and were seated on time, but no one came to serve us for the first 20 minutes. We were not given menus or even water until we had to ask for them ourselves. After waiting another 20 minutes, someone finally came to take our order. I understand that pizza can take time to prepare, and that was not the main issue. The real problem was the lack of service. We were not given plates or forks, and I had to get up and ask for basic items myself. No one came back to check if we needed anything else during the meal. The food may be one thing, but the service was truly horrible. As a traveler who has eaten in many places around the world, this was one of the worst restaurant service experiences I have had. I would not recommend this place if you are looking for a pleasant dining experience with good service.

The service itself is fine, but the staff is very young and inexperienced. The menu is extensive and varied. It is very noisy there, and the "bar tables" are not comfortable to eat at. My low-calorie tuna pizza was not tasty. Despite the sharper knife I was given, the crust was impossible to cut through. The little tuna on it probably just came from a supermarket can. Unfortunately, therefore, not recommended.

We ate here yesterday and enjoyed it. The atmosphere is cozy and modern, and the pizzas are tasty with a thin, crispy crust and fresh toppings. The service was friendly, although it sometimes took a little longer, but that shouldn't spoil the fun! Prices are great for the quality you get. A unique combination... All in all, a nice place where we would definitely come back again 👍 Compliments to the staff and the guys who prepare the food!

It was busy, but fortunately, the order was taken quickly. We received the starter and drinks promptly; however, it took longer than an hour to get the main course. People who came after us received their food quickly and were already gone. Unfortunately, we left without getting our food because we had to go on to a show.

Went to eat at Woodstone Hoofddorp today. Sorry, but what a disappointment in every way! It started with the staff taking 30 minutes to bring the menu. Then, after over 20 minutes, they didn't come back to take our order, and then almost 45 minutes later, we finally got our food. And the two pizzas were awful! I've been here twice, but never again!

I've eaten at Woodstone Pizza and Wine several times now, and it's always fantastic! Delicious pizzas and pasta at a great price. They regularly have great deals, making it very affordable. The three-course deal is definitely recommended! The service is always friendly and attentive. Even during the Valentine's Day rush, it was still a pleasant and cozy experience. Definitely a place I'd love to return to! 🍕🍝🍷

Last time, they forgot our appetizer. Now, a few months later, second chance. We were looking forward to the cheese fondue as a starter, but it was already sold out by 7:00 PM. So, this time we ordered the carpaccio and nachos first. It took over half an hour, and the nachos were cold. We sent them back and shared the carpaccio. The manager came to clear the plate; we asked about the nachos. She said they were ready to be served. He walked past us to another table. Then the main course arrived. We asked to cancel the nachos, so we decided to skip them.

Two people reserved a beer, ordered one, and it was fine. I received one main course. I then asked if I'd rather eat together, but it was busy and I figured it would be alright. I didn't, so I asked three times. Then, presumably the manager came to ask if there were any problems. After waiting an hour, it wasn't for me anymore. They took it off the bill, and no more words. Very poor, no communication, no explanation, no solution. A real shame.

I had a lovely quiet afternoon at the Woodstone. It was very quiet but it was early afternoon, so I think it would be a lovely busy atmosphere later in the day. The pizza was delicious and the staff were also very nice. I’ll definitely be back in the future and would recommend to others.

Woodstone is an Italian restaurant right next to the cinema, so it's a convenient place to go before a movie. The two of us shared three dishes: nachos with cheese (very delicious), pizza with goat cheese and caramelized onion (it was very sweet, but the crust was good). And for dessert, white chocolate chrismas cake with mango coulis (the cheesecake was very dry, and the coulis were a few drops, unfortunately, because more cheesecake would have made it much better). It was very busy, so it was sometimes difficult to get service. Despite the large space, we were comfortably seated.

The service was very disappointing. There was no time between courses. The table wasn't cleared. The price/quality ratio wasn't great either. High prices for what you get.

Non existent service we communicated that we had a show to attend, 1,5 hours later and we had not gotten food. After asking twice still nothing. We were ignored and forgotten. The service was terrible. Everything took forever, and dishes were forgotten, even though we had a three-course meal. You might understand that in a full restaurant, but there were hardly any customers. And then, when we paid, they asked how much change we wanted...

Last night we had another DELICIOUS meal at WOODSTONE in Hoofddorp! As always, we were warmly welcomed and shown to our table. My husband chose the Pasta Pollo Pesto, and I was really craving a Quattro Formaggi on a thin-crust pizza, but it wasn't on the menu. But that wasn't a problem at all; we'll just make it on a pizza rustica! What great service, and the pizza was so delicious! On to our next visit; we're already looking forward to it! I've always had a bit of a competition between Woodstock Hoofddorp and Woodstock Haarlem. While both are delicious, there's a winner. Woodstock Hoofddorp is definitely the better quality. Incredibly fresh and delicious food, but above all, the flavor is spot on! If something goes wrong, they immediately address it and make it right. It's always a smile, and I always go home feeling great! Thanks!

This was the second time when the pizza was almost impossible to cut. The taste wasn’t the worst, but the dough was too hard. The staff were friendly, but unfortunately the dessert was below expectations. I don’t recommend this place — we gave it a second chance, but nothing has improved.

What terrible service! We waited an hour for our pizzas and received no apology from the manager, as if it were our fault. And then they spoke to us like, "If you want to leave, you can leave." Excuse me?! Our whole evening was ruined!

A cozy restaurant for a quick bite to eat. The atmosphere was good. Unfortunately, 3 out of the 6 dishes in my party were cold/lukewarm. It was resolved well and a fresh batch was prepared, but unfortunately still not warm afterwards; the onions in my food were raw. The desserts were delicious.

Cozy restaurant and friendly service. The food was disappointing. For a pizza restaurant, you would expect them to know how to prepare pizza. It was served on a large stone that was cold. As a result, the pizza had already cooled down considerably by then. The worst part was the crust, which was completely soft, wet, and raw. It was inedible. I mentioned this to the staff, but nothing was done about it in terms of a new pizza or a discount on the bill.

I visited this place couple of times, but my recent experience was very disappointing. The waiting to by the door is so not well designed as people blocks the entrance to check their reservation. The level of the WC cleanness was poor. The waiters kept asking us to double check if we ordered some stuff that we didn’t request, they kept messing the orders and interrupting our discussions with side checking questions. I had the reservation at dinner time and it was incredibly noisy, I don’t recommend the place for kids / adults who have noise sensitivity. I felt disappointed, and I don’t think I will back.

The food, staff, and atmosphere are all excellent. It's wonderful to have a pizza and a glass of wine here. Service is also quick. The only downside is that it's one large room. It has a very atmospheric layout, but it can get quite noisy when it's full.

Woodstone, located in the heart of Hoofddorp, has a modern, cozy atmosphere with an open stone oven as its centerpiece. The food is delicious and of good quality, with a nice wine list and friendly service.

We live nearby and usually visit WOODSTONE for a dinner when we are lazy to cook :) Food is very nice, even though this is far from traditional Italian, the quality is good and the choice is quite various. Pastas and starters are tasty and very well served. Definitely this place deserves better score on Google maps!

Had a nice pizza pesto pollo here. Not stingy with the parmigiano reggiano, but I would have liked a bit more chicken 😄 Service was great! You certainly don't see cheerful and professional service everywhere. Too bad it was completely empty of customers at 9 pm on a Saturday night. But hey, then you see that for many people it is a combination with watching a movie before/after 😅

We were always very satisfied but yesterday it was all a bit less. The snack vegetables were watery and even a bit slimy at the bottom, the non-alcoholic beer turned into one with alcohol (but it took a while for my girlfriend to notice that, so she had almost finished it), it took more than 20 minutes before we could order drinks. And the pasta aglio-olio looked more like Arabiata, so many peppers. Hopefully this is a one-off, because otherwise a great place. The waitress was almost overly enthusiastic, but that was also nice, she really did her best to make something of it. Tip: if a lot goes wrong, maybe offer coffee, or take that drink off the bill? Now the beer could still be replaced by a non-alcoholic beer, but by then we already wanted to pay. Pizzas are delicious, nothing more to do.

We hadden lekkere lunch. Pizza's waren goed gebakken en rijkelijk belegd. Alles was zoals we besteld hadden. Bediening was heel vriendelijk.

Unfortunately today I received a starter that was completely burnt on the bottom. Opacity, softness of the bread goes well with the sauces, but I prefer not to have burnt food served on the table. For those who prefer not to eat pork and/or are religious, pay close attention to the menu. Sometimes it is stated in a difficult way in the description, such as the chicken pizza, and they do not clearly indicate that it says “Pork”. So pay close attention to that.

The lunch pizza was two palms wide and cutting the hard base with a dull knife was really laborious. The service is friendly and fast.

Very little for the expensive amount and it doesn't taste like a very expensive place, not worth it, I'd rather go to Frenkies in Hoofddorp than here, which is a shame

The food was very tasty, with the starters being the absolute highlight. The service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Everything went smoothly, and we felt well taken care of. The atmosphere was also very good. The only downside is that when the tent is full it can be quite chaotic and busy in the background.

We hadden een verjaardag te vieren en we hebben het erg gezellig gehad, maar dat was omdat we in leuk gezelschap waren en niet omdat het eten nou zo lekker was. De pizza’s waren niks bijzonders, flauwe bodem en flauw beleg, maar de Glutenvrije pizza was gewoon niet te eten. Hoe durf je je gasten iets dergelijks voor te schotelen. Hier gaan we nooit meer eten!

Wij hadden vrijdag 21 mrt een fijne avond. Het was héél druk en vol. Maar de jongen die achterin de tafels en bank voorzag van een fijne ambiance en voortreffelijke vlotte bediening, had alles onder controle. Waardoor wij een top avond hadden. Dankjewel! Het eten en de wijn was ook lekker. Woodstone is wat personeel betreft er op vooruit gegaan. Eten is nog steeds goed.

Pizza van mijn partner was lekker en goed gebakken. Mijn pasta gerecht vond ik matig. Linguine met grove stukken kaas en wat tomatensaus. De linguïst was goed “al dente” maar de apart bij bestelde brokken kip ontsierde het gerecht. Had allemaal wat verfijnder gekund.

The meal was fine and delicious until we wanted to pay with a dinner voucher that we had called specifically for and this was no problem by telephone, but when we wanted to pay this was not possible. It is on the dinner site, but personally I think this causes a lot of confusion and so in my opinion it should not be on the dinner site. You can then only pay with a physical dinner card that is available as a gift voucher. After much protest and several apologies from the chef there, it was neatly resolved by an adhok sprain. So all in all, it was solved very neatly by the chef. They're going to change it for the future if it's for the best 👍

the sgroppinos are really bad sorry. and the restaurant has a Center Parcs appearance. very large space and looks chaotic. the lemonade tastes of nothing and the pizzas were very mediocre. There are vegan options so that's nice! the bruchettas were delicious. sparse decor, which makes the room suuuuper loud, as if you were back at school. service is very good
