Ordered a Polderboom steak with gravy. When it arrived, the steak was literally floating in the greasy gravy instead of being served separately in a small bowl. In short, I had to pat the steak dry with a napkin and eat the fries straight from the basket—what a greasy mess. It came up on the car ride home.

Too bad. The food wasn't good. Salty, salty, salty. Everything was too salty. Mushrooms in aioli were salty. Satay dressing: no peanuts in sight, only salt. The dessert trio: salted caramel. It was truly just salty. The caramel flavor was nowhere to be found. The sambal sauce had no sambal at all, just fat. It was a disappointment. I received one free coffee and one tea because I complained. The service was kind, but it was very disappointing. I think the chances of us going again are zero.

Top location where you can have a great drink and/or dinner!

Its a nice bar with a lovely terrace but the service was honestly quite bad. It was really difficult to get someone to take our order and when I ordered a glass of wine I got strange looks from the waitress like it's strange that I order wine as a young man, strange place.

After a long time, we thought we'd have a nice lunch together at the Polderboom. Unfortunately, the food wasn't as good as before. Something also went wrong with the order. In short, we are very dissatisfied.

The restaurant where I recently dined was a culinary experience. From the moment we walked in, we received a warm welcome and professional service. The decor was elegant and atmospheric, with candlelight and warm colors. We opted for a tasting menu, and each dish was a surprise of flavors and textures. The presentation was artistic and the flavors harmonious. The service was fast and friendly, and provided helpful explanations about each dish. The atmosphere was lively but not chaotic, allowing us to enjoy ourselves at our leisure. The wine selection perfectly complemented the dishes. The dessert was the perfect ending to a wonderful evening. This restaurant is definitely recommended for foodies.

One of the 3-4 very similar restaurants with a bar located along the main street in Hoofddorp. The food is average, but honestly it is the same in the whole of the Netherlands.

We regularly come here for drinks, beers, etc. Yesterday was no exception. My wife and I were here. We both had two beers and a snack. A total of 46 euros, which was quite a shock. I knew the beer was quite expensive, but 13.50 for a truly meager snack seems completely out of proportion.

Great place, great atmosphere, great service and not least great food. First time here and will come back if I get the chance. Recommended for a beer night, mingling, and something good to sink your teeth into. Ordered Iberico boneless ribs with teriyaki sauce, and it was so good. The fries were absolutely perfect. I was there on a Thursday night, and it was actually a lot of life. The music was also really fun. This place is recommended!!

We had the opportunity to share some drinks and a few snacks. The nachos wasn’t the best that we tried but overall was a good experience.

Great bar with a variety of different beers and snacks for reasonable prices. Especially the amount of beers on tap, with many IPA's and tripels. They also offer a wide selection of non-alcoholic drinks. I would recommend getting the nacho's if you're hungry during drinks. The service is also quick and the servers are attentive. Would definitely recommend to stop by if you are ever in Hoofddorp.

My beer was a Hertog Jan 0.5 L whitebeer, a good choice of beer on the list but no price is written. My surprise was when it was the time to pay. The waitress asked me 9.50€. To my opinion this is excessive. Sorry I m not coming back there anymore !

The strawberry lemonade was sparkling water with a sprig of mint and 3 pieces of CANNED strawberry!! limp, dirty canned strawberries while it is in full strawberry season. The iced coffee was a limp mess. Watery and without coffee flavor and not cold. Both drinks TASTELESS! We were also going to have lunch there, but after tasting the drinks we went to an adjacent tent where we had a delicious meal.

Always cozy on the terrace with heating. Therefore usually busy.

Ate here with 2 people. A fish starter is great here. But the mushroom starter is very boring in taste. A chicken thigh satay has quite a good taste. But a pork tenderloin satay greatly dominated the satay sauce in terms of spiciness. We also thought the service took a very long time. And something could also be done about the men's toilet.

Highly recommended!!! Food and drinks are excellent. I recommend making reservations in advance. I'd love to come back!!

The Polderboom is mainly a mix between a tasting room with restaurant and an old brown cafe where mainly young and old come together. Whether you want an extensive meal or a bite to eat during a nice drink, you can do both here. The terrace is fully heated with waterproof parasols and heaters, so you can enjoy a full terrace even in winter. The staff is very friendly with both the guests and each other, which gives a feeling of coming home. The 12 taps and an extensive range of non-alcoholic beers/cocktails and soft drinks ensure something for everyone!

Was er met mijn gezin om wat te vieren. Had samen met mijn dochter de Camembert uit de oven ( 2 personen ). Toen dat werd gebracht zaten voor elke persoon 2 kwartjes geroosterd brood blij. Dus de helft moest je maar gewoon op eten. Toen ik daar een opmerking over maakt werd er gezegd “ Als u meer had gewild” had u dat kenbaar moeten maken. Volgens mij moet je dat toch zeggen als je iets komt brengen. Ook had ik een Polderboom Steak besteld er wordt mij nog gevraagd hoe ik hem wilde hebben. Ik gezegd dat hem MEDIUM wilde, maar wat kreeg ik WELL DONE. Omdat iedereen al hun eten had en omdat ik al iets over het voorgerecht had gezegd heb ik die maar laten zitten. Want die dame was ook niet de allervriendelijkste. Voor de prijs van 25,40 vind ik dat het toch wel goed gedaan mag worden. Het was voor mij een bittere tegenvaller.

Food was ok. Burger was a bit tasteless and too big to eat by hand. Staff was friendly , ambiance relaxing and cozy.

Gezellig restaurant prima aankleding en niet te schel geluid. Samen met collega's gegeten. De vriendelijke bediening kwam vlot en er stond al snel een drankje voor ons. Wij kozen voor het 3 gangen menu. En redelijk ruime keuze. Er was echter niet genoeg vitello tonnato dus 1 moest iets anders kiezen. Bij het desert gebeurde het zelfde, er waren maar 2x Dame Blache. Eten stond snel op tafel, de vitello tornado was droog, stoofvlees er lekker. Jammer dat we na het hoofdgerecht de frieten kregen, die waren ze even vergeten.

Nice place to have something to eat. They have gluten free options. I opted for a gluten-free sandwich with tuna salad. The board is also nicely laid out.

We like to visit this place when we want a relaxed atmosphere. The food is always delicious and the drinks are amazing. It's a pity that there is always a bustle 😉 and if you don't come at the right time, you have to wait a long time for the lunch menu (no exceptions).

Had a delicious meal on Sunday, October 13, but one thing I noticed was that the chef (boss) will discuss things with the staff in the restaurant, the schedule and the drinks I don't think are appropriate.

Leuk terras met muziek die soms wat te hard staat. Personeel is zeer vriendelijk en ook attent. Gekozen voor een mixed grill (biefstuk, kipsate,Iberico ribfingers) Volgens de kaart geserveerd met gegrilde groenten. Biefstuk, erg klein, niet op smaak gemaakt maar mals en keurig medium. Kipsate, mooi stokje goed op smaak, weinig saus veel atjar en rode kool. De ribfingers, tja een pannetje met was groenten en heel veel mierzoete Chinese saus. Ergens daarin zaten wat stukjes ribfingers, die ook nog eens droog waren. En dat is bij Iberico ribfingers echt een prestatie op zich. Tel daarbij op dat men hier 27 euro voor durft te vragen, beschamend.

Wonderful addition to Hoofddorp. One of the few places with a nice old building, full of atmosphere. Good staff and tasty food. And you can also just have a nice drink. In short, great!

The penultimate time I wrote a poorer review because despite my reservation to eat mussels, there were no more mussels. I received a polite response to my review from 'De Polderboom', with the promise that the next time we came, the mussels would be at their expense. We did this last Saturday and I must say the service was great.

3rd time i been there and i can say: 1- No professionality of the staff (asking you what they can do for you without even bringing a menu on the table) 2- You wait infinitely to order being peeked sometimes from the staff that surely is thinking “are they still here?” I conclude with after 20 minutes of waiting i raised up and went away to the next bar new in hoffdoorp Bar&Kitchen which i really recommend, staff kind and professional, waiting about 10 minutes and with a huge smile.

Fantastic stop! I am glad I was able to make it here before I left Amsterdam. Came in for am early Friday dinner. Easily the best Chicken Satay I've had while visiting. Delicious! Perfect flavor. Great price. Staff were all friendly. They had an English menu, which is most appreciated. Absolutely recommend the stop if you're visiting Hoofddorp!

It takes about 2 hours before you are helped. Then I had to wait another hour and a half for my food.

Nothing special in terms of food or service. Beers are good, though, bit pricy. Kid's chicken meal was spicy!

Do you know how they treat clients who spend over €200.00 there? They politely asked us not to laugh the way we were during happy hour on a Friday evening. It was extremely rude to tell their biggest table that another client had complained about our conversation. We simply paid the bill and went to the bar next door, which gave us an excellent customer experience.

Pleasant: The young waiter asked us on a Friday evening to keep quiet because we were laughing too hard. We spend the whole evening eating and drinking a lot, while the table next to us (who complained) only drinks Coca-Cola. We didn't understand it at all as we had a good time and were served well. But unfortunately, some people are bothered by happy people around them.

I recently visited the bar for happy hour, and it was an extremely disappointing experience. My friends and I were having a great time, enjoying our food and drinks, and sharing some laughs. However, our evening was abruptly ruined when we were asked to leave or speak and laugh less because the table next to us—who were only drinking Coke—complained about our laughter. It's baffling and frustrating that a bar, especially during happy hour, would prioritize the complaints of a few over the enjoyment of paying customers who were partaking in the full bar experience. If a bar can't handle a lively atmosphere, it might be in the wrong business. This was an incredibly poor display of customer service, and I will not be returning. If you value having fun with friends at a place that appreciates your business, look elsewhere. The girl who served our table was great, she was very nice and friendly.

Tuesday night meal for 3, seated in a beautiful restaurant, order drinks then that was the end of our service. Really difficult to engage with staff to order food and drink. Eventually ordered and really nice food was served. We settled our bill at the bar, we couldn't get anyone to come to the table.... Better service and this place would be 5/5.

Nice place for lunch, for example. Tasty food and friendly staff. It is sometimes a bit long to wait for your order or bill, but hey, after all, you are there to relax.

We were very comfortable until it was almost 8:00 PM. And one of the employees said we should have those 2 minutes of silence again... Where is your respect? All other service was good

An absolutely excellent restaurant, exactly how I imagine hospitality should be, if I could, I would give it 6 stars. Nice, cozy interior environment and also a garden for warmer days. Super friendly and smiling staff, can advise on the choice of food and beer, fast service. The food itself is excellent, superbly seasoned, superbly presented. Wide selection of beers from the tank, also perfect. All this at still very pleasant prices. We stopped here for a bite to eat while waiting for our plane and were really pleasantly surprised and very pleased. Highly recommended!
