Nice atmosphere inside. Nicely decorated, friendly staff. Had tapas and they were decent. Too many of the choices are deep-fried, which is a shame. There are better tapas restaurants in Groningen.

What a wonderful experience this was. We recently had an extensive dinner at the Gedempte Kattendiep, and it was truly a top-notch evening. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very cozy thanks to the warm lighting and the many decorative bowls on the wall. The food itself was fantastic and very varied. We were served a huge metal platter filled with all sorts of different small dishes and bowls, such as a small dish of roasted potatoes and a small bowl with a rich, red dip in the middle. Everything tasted equally fresh and flavorful. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys fine dining in Groningen.

A surprisingly cozy tapas restaurant

In itself, it is a nice place to sit with good wines and snacks, but unfortunately, my experience was not very pleasant, and I would like to mention this. The reason I don't consider this restaurant worthy of more than 1 star was due to the atmosphere. When I entered, I was not greeted kindly. We had to witness and listen all afternoon to how the staff there are treated and spoken to. I really don't think this is okay! It turned out to be the owner, who frequently treats the staff in an unpleasant and disrespectful manner, even when there are customers present. You could clearly see that the staff were/are very upset with her around. One thing is certain: because of her behavior, I won't let her come here anymore! Respect is paramount to me. I have never experienced anything like this before and really didn't think it was okay!

Had a wonderful high wine! Good wines, nice atmosphere, and absolutely delicious food. The only thing I noticed is that the rice here has very small grains, and they call it couscous or something like that. Otherwise, really great! Highly recommended.

Horrible, we just wanted a cocktail... she wanted us to go next door because she didn't feel like serving us (deeply sad). Ultimately, with a lot of effort, we got an espresso martini. She wasn't exactly a lady of pleasure, anyway. 😵 The second lady was very friendly, so that's another reasonable 3 stars.

We ate at Moro with 4 people. We chose the four-course Moro menu. There is a reasonable amount of choice, and the dishes are explained well by the staff. Atmospheric decor. Big downside⚠️ I find it really too dark! You can barely see what is in the containers😵‍💫🔦. €39.50 pp is quite pricey, and drinks are (like everywhere) very expensive💰. The alley next to the restaurant is very 🥰 nice ✨ during the Christmas 🎄 period.

Delicious high wine. The bar table was a bit uncomfortable, unfortunately, partly because I already had back pain. I can especially recommend the white wines. The atmosphere and service are excellent.

Excellent tapas bar! The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. They were making sure I got a glutenfree tapas selection, and even the rest of the meal could be packed to serving boxes. Delicious Mediterranean cuisine with a great selection of drinks. There should be something for everyone. The quality is very good! The staff is extremely courteous and attentive...even knocking over a vase was easily dismissed with a smile. If the prices weren't a bit higher, you could come here weekly. Still, a recommendation!

Vriendelijke bediening die zorgt voor de voldoende, maar de prijs/kwaliteit is hier echt niet in verhouding. De porties zijn klein maar wel doodleuk ruim 8 euro vragen voor 3 gehaktballetjes als voorgerecht. De tajine kip van 21 euro is nauwelijks op smaak gebracht met kruiden en zwemt in het vocht. Als groente zitten er vier stukken paprika in.. dit mag eigenlijk de naam tajine niet dragen. Voor €120,- zijn er zat andere plekken in de stad om wel écht lekker te eten met zijn 2en.

Etwas vom Trubel gelegenes spanisches Restaurant mit sehr guten Speisen, natürlich Paella und frischen Tapas. Reservieren vorab ist empfehlenswert.

We stumbled upon this place by chance. It was fully booked, but we managed to find a table. The food was a real surprise; both the duck and the fish were excellent. We'll keep it in mind for another time we're in Groningen.

We hebben hier heerlijke gerechten gehad, gebaseerd op de spaanse en marokkaanse keuken. Erg smaakvol, vriendelijke bediening. Enige minpuntje was dat er gerechten van de buren op onze rekening terecht waren gekomen.

Awesome!! We ordered many different tapas and it was all delicious, nothing to complain about, the flavors are really on point. Best falafel in Groningen so far! It is a bit more pricey, but each tastes good. What would be nice is some more vegetable options. Service also very friendly and helpful. Nice seating outside and inside. Well taken care of everyone, will definitely come back!

Was here for the second time and we reserved a high wine menu. The value for money and interior is amazing, food is absolutely delicious and a lot, the staff is friendly, explain the meals and adjusts to dietary wishes. Would definitely recommend going here!

Quality time in de voorjaarsvakantie,even met z’n vieren uit eten,mijn zoon had moro uitgezocht,en dat had hij goed gedaan. Echt heerlijke tapas gerechtjes,geserveerd door uiterst vriendelijk personeel,dus helemaal goed. Er hangt een fijne gezellige sfeer in dit restaurant,leuk en gezellig ingericht. Misschien niet de allergoedkoopste,wij hadden een menu en waren daarvoor met z’n vieren incl. drankjes en fooi €260,- voor kwijt,maar dat was het absoluut waard !! Je kunt vlakbij parkeren o.a parkeergarage damsterdiep of aan het water,hooguit allemaal 200 mtr lopen. Kortom een fijn restaurant waar we zeker nog eens zullen komen.

What an absolutely delicious restaurant. The atmosphere is very cozy, nicely decorated and enough space between the tables. The light (also very atmospheric) is sufficient, warm and atmospheric. Nothing but praise for the food. We chose tapas from the menu. They were beautifully presented. It was also very tasty. Highly recommended. I'll be back here!

Vanavond een 4 gangen diner gegeten via een restaurantketen. Het was voortreffelijk, super goede en attente bediening, smakelijke gerechten met als uitsmijter de toetjes. Het was een geweldige avond.

Uit eten gaan is een keer iets anders proeven, gezellige mensen zien en ontmoeten. Dat is er allemaal bij moro. Het was ook lekker weer dus buiten op het terras gegeten. Het was echt heerlijk en de bediening leuk en ontspannen.

De wijnproeverij is een echte aanrader!

Voorgerechten plato charcuteria en brood met aioli was een heerlijke start. Wel wat beperkte keus in hoofdgerechten. We wilden paella, maar helaas waren de mosselen al op. Dan maar de spareribs en tajine met kip. Dat waren prima alternatieven. Rustige sfeer op een zondagavond. Tafels staan wel wat vol op elkaar. Personeel vriendelijk, geduldig, attend.

De beste dame achter de bar wist niet hoeveel whisky er in een glas gaat, nu kan dit 2 kanten opvallen. De eerste is dat je na je glas met bijna een halve liter whisky een enorm leuke avond hebt, de karaoke bar op zn kop zet en de volgende dag ben je de held van het groningse uitgaansleven. De andere kant is dat het moeizaam naar binnen gaat, het begint te pruttelen in je maag, je voelt dat ze mee kijkt en je moet hem op drinken. Na lang zwoegen is het binnen en wil je betalen. Natuurlijk doet zij even langzaam want zij is ook benieuwd welke uitgang de whisky gaat kiezen. Je loopt naar de wc, maar bent verassend snel terug dus het zal nog wel in je lichaam zitten. Tranen in je ogen win je het staarduel met de ober en mag je naar buiten. Daar gooi je alles, inclusief je waardigheid, over het putje op straat. Avondeten is er net uit maar smaakt de 2de keer aanzienlijk veel smeriger. Al met al een teleurstellende avond zonder karaoke. Gelukkig is de eerste optie gebeurt maar het feit dat deze 2 strijd aan ons werd voorgeschoteld is natuurlijk weergaloos. Wij zullen zeker terugkomen.

Een enthousiaste en vrolijke werkneemster ontving ons en heeft ons van twee lekkere (en verassend goedkope!) cocktails en een heerlijke tappas-plank voorzien. De sfeer is erg aangenaam. Wat ons betreft een aanrader 👌🏼

Bediening was niet snel, ruim 15 minuten per drankje wachten terwijl het niet druk was, maar mooi terras fijne sfeer en aardige bediening

Paella gegeten die net zo goed smaakt als in Valencia.

Enthousiaste serveersters. Eten was erg goed. Spareribs gleden zo van de botjes, en was lekker gekruid met gerookte paprika en een klein beetje spicy. Vis was die dag vers op de markt gehaald, Paella was bijna net zo lekker als in Spanje. Het is te proeven dat kok echt een passie voor koken heeft.

Goed terras en lekker eten. Maar het is Groningen met veel luidruchtige toeristen.

Genieten op het terras, in het zonnetje, met sangria bij de hand..... we werden vriendelijk geholpen en hebben genoten van een heerlijk menu! Dikke aanrader!

Das Essen war nicht so der Hammer. Es ist nicht möglich, eine gemischte Tappasplatte für 2 Personen zu bekommen. Bei der Paella hat der Koch beim Reis den Safran vergessen . Reis war blass.

Helemaal prima. Maar de moussaka is zonder gehakt terwijl ik dacht dat er gehakt in zou zitten. Paella is wel echt heel lekker. Verder helemaal lekker

Een arrangement besteld. Lekkere tapas er kon wel wat meer variatie in. Bepaalde personeel mag mensen ook af en toe wat aardiger aanspreken. Deze waren niet al te aardig tegenover mij als klant.

Das Essen war geschmacklich okay, allerdings ist der Umgang mit Gästen sehr unflexibel und nicht gerade kundenfreundlich. Wir waren mit einer Gruppe von 10 Personen vor Ort, von denen etwa die Hälfte der Gäste das Tapas Menü (in der Speisekarte ab 2 Personen beschrieben) bestellen wollte. Laut Bedienung ist es in diesem Lokal nicht möglich, sondern nur wenn alle der Gruppe das gleiche Menü bestellen, was so allerdings nicht auf der Speisekarte vermerkt ist. Man begründete dies damit, dass die Küche das organisatorisch nicht hinbekommt - obwohl das Lokal fast leer war! Auch unser Vorschlag, dass sich die Menü-Esser an eine Tischseite zusammensetzen wurde nicht akzeptiert. Wir haben uns dann andere Speisen ausgesucht. Als wir am Ende bezahlen wollten, war es nicht möglich dies pro Person oder Paar zu tun, sondern die Rechnung sollte von einem Gast komplett beglichen werden. Wir mussten das dann selber unter uns aufteilen. Also wir werden sicher nicht wiederkommen!
