Mr. Gold in Centrum

We had a delicious high cocktail; they really catered to our wishes and served fun, original cocktails! Three rounds of delicious snacks were served, each matching the type of round. The staff was super friendly and helpful! We had a wonderful time!

The food was delicious, the cocktails were good, and Tobias was also good. Greetings from 10 girls from Brabant!

The outdoor seating area was open, but the chairs weren't dry, which I unfortunately only noticed after I had already sat down. There was only one cushion or blanket for a table for two. The staff were friendly but couldn't do anything about it.

Had a fantastic meal inside with some friends. I had the American steak special. Delicious! The place looked beautiful and there was nice music. The waitress was also very friendly. I'll definitely go back!

We had a delicious Texel beer and cocktail with Korean chicken and suckling pig, but unfortunately, they also had old mussels. A shame, but it was resolved well! We'll definitely go back next time!

The food was amazing, the best kebab restaurant you can eat in Bodrum. The hospitality was incredible, they were very helpful, and we really appreciated that they spoke English. I'll definitely be going back. The prices are also very reasonable for Yalikavak. ☺️🙏🏼

Nice terrace, friendly staff, but the food... so bad. We had pasta with garlic and prawns. The pasta was so overcooked, it was unbearable. Back to the kitchen, and unfortunately, the second plate was the same. It looked like the chef pre-cooked the pasta and then reheated it in the microwave. The fries were also a disaster. Nothing but greasy leftovers. We were given a small discount!!! at checkout. Such a shame. This should have been resolved better. So I advise everyone to skip this restaurant.

We sat outside on the terrace and had four cocktails and several dishes to share. It was delicious, and the service was good and fast. Inside, it looked very nice as well. All in all, €110, which I think is a bit pricey for Alkmaar.

I had the goat cheese "broodje" (bread) with apple compote and rucola and it was lovely. We had our seats on the terrace and showers came and went but the parasol above us kept us dry. For a place in the center prices were reasonable.

Not normal expensive cocktails, price quality ratio is not good 13.30 for 5 sips and a glass of ice. Staff was friendly but it took not normal long. I will not come back here!

Today I went to Mr. Gold with my husband to celebrate. We come here regularly and usually enjoy it immensely. However, today the service was truly disappointing, even at a quiet time of day. After receiving our cocktails, the waitress repeatedly told us, "I'll be with you in a minute," "Just finish this and I'll be with you," and "I'll be right there." Meanwhile, we saw her busy taking our food orders with everyone except us at the bar. She walked past us several times but didn't help us, even after repeatedly signaling. After waiting for over 30 minutes, we settled our cocktails and left, when she suddenly offered to help us with our food. Well... too late, of course. We've never experienced anything like this before. It's such a shame. Our wonderful moment has been completely ruined.

Yesterday, I sat on a patio for the first time this year, at Mr. Gold in Alkmaar – what a great choice! The staff were incredibly friendly and hardworking. Despite the spring crowds, we were helped very quickly and felt truly seen and appreciated. The atmosphere, service, and attention made it a truly wonderful experience. We definitely know where we'll be sitting next time, on the patio or inside. Thanks, Mr. Gold!

The food was absolutely delicious! The sticky ribs were the best I've ever had. I definitely recommend the other dishes as well. A great shared dining concept. Good wines and tasty beer on tap. Very friendly staff. A lovely atmosphere.

I had a high cocktail last Saturday and it was delicious. Friendly staff and great food and drinks. The high cocktail is definitely worth the money!

The visit was quite acceptable but unfortunately the portions were very small, but the food was very good. The service was very nice but unfortunately many people got confused when ordering. All in all it was a good evening but I wouldn't recommend Mr. Gold.

Nice service, nice foods, nice wines, nice atmosphere

When we visited on a warm summer evening, it was as if we were in a piazza in the south. Splendid. The menu includes various appetizers that you can combine as you wish (shared dining). Spring rolls, chicken side salad or fries, everything was delicious.

What a nice place to be. Something to choose from for everyone. Sharing together and a pleasant atmosphere ensure a great evening. Not to forget the staff, the friendliest and very attentive. Hope to see you again and definitely recommended.

The first waitress was a bit unfriendly but after that things went uphill. Food and drinks arrived quickly. The salad was incredible, as were the sandwiches. We found the tomato salsa that came with the Sweet Loaded Fries particularly tasty. Can only recommend Mr. Gold in Alkmaar.

I was walking by with my friend while visiting the cheese market. We were so amazed by the warm cocktail, and the service is also very kind! A great place to stay to have a meal!

Well attended in the evening. Unfortunately we waited 1 hour for a (normal) drink while the other one was already there. When we asked, we were told the drink would still be coming. Unfortunately it never came and at some point we left dissatisfied 🤷🏻‍♀️

We had dinner with two people at Mr. Gold and can only recommend the restaurant! The food was absolutely amazing! Everything was very tasty and very nicely presented. We didn't fully understand the concept at first, but the lady took the time to explain everything to us calmly. The service is really great! We can recommend Mr. Gold 100%!

Delicious drinks and food! Only there is 1 waitress who is very grumpy and should not work in the catering industry. The rest are super nice.

A day of shopping from Scheveningen in Alkmaar and accidentally came across this incredibly nice eatery. We are surprised by the great menu, fair prices, super cozy and friendly staff. We really enjoyed the tasteful lunch. Highly recommended.

We spontaneously dropped by at 6:00 PM for a cocktail and a snack. There was no room even though the reservation listed there was only for a table at 8:00 PM. We were told that she wanted to keep the table clean and sent away with a chilly "have a nice evening". We won't be coming back here again.

Here you can find very, very good food with friendly and courteous service, which not only served us well, but also my dog ​​- with a bowl of water :) We went back the next day and would definitely go for a third or come back a quarter of a time :)

The lady at the counter has absolutely no idea what customer service is. Arrogant attitude and it made us feel unwelcome. Shame! Hopefully she will still learn the tricks of the trade. The cocktails are delicious and the bartender also does a great job 👌. Didn't eat anything this time, but last time the food was okay-ish. We were there with a larger group and found the service mediocre. If you are 25+, you will quickly feel like a senior here 😂🫣!

The food is delicious and drinks were good but sightly overpriced. They also only played the same 3 songs on repeat for the whole time we were there but the atmosphere was still enjoyable.

We walked in after taking a quick look and thought it looked good. The atmosphere and service were nice and our meal was delicious. We were spoken to politely. That's the way it is supposed to be. Worth repeating and hopefully the atmosphere will remain good.

Wow what a great experience we had with Mr. Gold, the staff is really great, the food is really great and the cocktails are over the top. My son-in-law proposed to my daughter here yesterday and how the staff worked on this was so wonderful and loving. I had a great evening again in a long time ❤️

We had a super delicious meal here on Friday, September 30, and that's why we went back to eat there on Saturday, October 1, because we haven't ordered everything we liked yet. Delicious cocktails! We had already been to lunch before, shared platter, which was not very special. Really a nice place to have drinks.

Beautifully prepared plates and a beautifully decorated restaurant. The wine was very measured, but had a good taste. The chicken bao we ordered was a bit bland and dry and there was little real chicken on it. It's a shame, because you can easily make this dish very tasty and creamy. The nachos were generously topped, so it was not visible that we got the bottom handful of chips from the bag. Mr. Gold appears a bit frugal in this way. A shame, because this is really not necessary.
