Mr. Moos Bar & Bistro in Breda centrum

We came here for a drink, took a seat, and didn't receive the menu until 5–10 minutes later. People who arrived after us received theirs faster. When we finally got the menu, it took a long time again before someone came to take our order. The staff walked past with food to other tables and paid hardly any attention to the guests. Friendliness was nowhere to be found; the man with glasses and a tablet walking around could have smiled a bit more; after all, you work in the hospitality industry, sir. The location gets 2 stars; the rest is mediocre.

Had another lovely lunch; the staff was super friendly and the food delicious. Afterwards, the price of a drink didn't match the price on the menu. We pointed this out to the staff, and it was resolved nicely. Thanks, we will definitely be back!

The food at your place is always top-notch! But some of your staff shouldn't be working in the hospitality industry if they don't know what hospitality is! It's a shame, because the staff are the face of your restaurant! Do something about it; a smile costs nothing!!!

Mediocre food. I had steak proivre and my wife pasta. It was a good thing I asked: "Does that come with fries?" Answer: "No, you have to order those separately." If I hadn't ordered that, I would have just had a steak with two leaves of chicory. Strange, isn't it, that you don't provide a complete menu? The pasta was dripping in fat and the steak wasn't really tender. I will never eat here again. Five of the eight meat dishes are truffle-based. If you don't like that, there is hardly any choice on top of that. Not cheap either.

The food was terrible; the burrata as a starter was cherry tomatoes with a hint of burrata, and my jaw is still hurting from the steak—so tough and nothing but tendons.

Orders were forgotten, and after asking about them, we didn't even get an apology, just a "order is on its way" while we had already been waiting for an hour, only to hear "orders were wrong, sorry" 2 minutes later.... The pasta, however, suddenly arrived within 10 minutes. To top it all off, hardly anyone came by to ask if everything was to our liking. In short, for those prices, I expect better service.

Based on previous experience, the food wasn't bad. But the waitstaff and service are downright disappointing. This is based on experience from multiple visits. Asking for a small portion is not possible. What I find worse is that when you make a reservation, the staff don't look at you, just walk past, and make you wait. No welcome, no drinks, no form of hospitality whatsoever. After a long wait, I got up and went to a restaurant where they don't give you unfriendly looks and are actually happy you're there. Where you are helped and served immediately. Addition: I consider it a consolation that the establishment reached out, offered apologies, and promised improvement. That is something, at least; now they just have to deliver.

We came for a meal as a party of four, a last-minute reservation. The service was impeccable, and the food was of good quality. We left with smiles on our faces, having had a great time.

After waiting for nearly 10 minutes in the blazing sun outside the door, as requested by the look-alike traffic signs, I turned around because the staff were too busy moving seat cushions instead of welcoming guests.... It really is a shame to pass up 6 hungry and thirsty men, but anyway, we still had a delicious meal and drinks at the neighbors'.

Ballens, mediocre food for a place that pretends to be very chic. Heard a lot of swearing from the kitchen and narcissistic service.

The food was okay, it's just a shame that the oysters were full of grit and the wait staff didn't get any further than: 'I'll pass it on to the kitchen'.

In a word: Top! Delicious food, cozy atmosphere, and friendly staff. I have eaten here several times and it never disappoints.

Delicious food, large portions, nice fresh ingredients, tasty drinks. We are happy to pay for that. One star less because it is quite noisy inside. We would love to come back again.

I had a super tender bavette with a delicious peppercorn sauce. My companion had chicken satay, and I don't know if I have ever seen such a large chicken skewer. Both pieces of meat came off the grill and you could clearly taste it; delicious! We did have to ask for the cocktail menu a few times, and eventually we looked up what we wanted for a cocktail online because the menu didn't appear. It was nice to sit here on the terrace, a bit secluded from the hustle and bustle because it is a fenced-off terrace.

We celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary In this amazing bar bistro. We had a delicious meal. The price was a bit higher, though. The staff worked hard and skillfully And friendly. In short, a top location.

Establishment in the center of Breda, on the Markt, opposite the large church. Visited on a Thursday evening. Quite busy with somewhat larger groups. Table in the back section of the restaurant. Quite "busy" interior, relatively dark atmosphere. Nice menu, not super varied or extravagant, but essentially something for everyone. Meat/fish balanced, less variety with the vegetarian dishes. The establishment is less suitable for families with small children. Dishes themselves beautifully served with nice quotes on the plates. Taste and quality fine in themselves, but a bit bland; to my personal taste, it could have had a bit more character.

Tasty cheese croquettes on tasty bread. Also served with a good salad with raisins.👌🏻 The rosé wine is also delicious.👍🏻

We had drinks with former colleagues and then dinner. It was very enjoyable and the food was delicious. The staff were very helpful in finding a good spot. We were allowed to swap the large table in the middle for a high table near the entrance. That made it easier to talk to each other and ensured everyone was involved. The only downside is that everyone walks in and out—guests and staff alike—passing right past our table. But when you are engrossed in a lively conversation, you don't notice it. We were all very satisfied.

Cozy restaurant and the food is fine. However, the staff comes across as very sleepy and uninterested. There is a lot of sighing and it seems as if they are working reluctantly. Unfortunately, that brings the atmosphere down. If hospitality isn't for you, other work might be a better fit.

Steaks were tasty, asparagus and sole just okay.

Mr. Moos Bar & Bistro was a great experience overall. Service and atmosphere were definitely 5-star, lively, energetic and very welcoming. The place was packed, so reservations are highly recommended, but the busy vibe actually adds to the charm. It’s a fun spot for people-watching and has a really happening atmosphere. Food was good overall, though not quite at the same level as the service and ambience. Still very enjoyable and worth visiting, especially for a relaxed outing with good energy.

Ate here on Friday, May 22nd! Everything was fine in itself, but it lacked inspiration, or the chef is over 65 and can only cook classics. Service is good. The atmosphere could be better; the music concept isn't fully thought out.

Beautiful spot on the Grote Markt in Breda, especially when the sun is shining and the terraces are full; it is lovely to spend time at Mr Moos. Nothing to complain about regarding the food, simply good, and the service very professional. Had a nice evening...!

The atmosphere is pleasant, but unfortunately, the staff comes across as somewhat arrogant. Upon entering, someone was standing by the door pointing out the tables. When he heard that we were only there for a cup of coffee, he gestured quite casually towards a few tables, remarking that we could sit somewhere over there, without looking at us any further. When one of us subsequently asked for a glass of water with the coffee, this was met with a visibly dismissive response.

There was a mouse freely roaming around the restaurant and near our table the entire time during our dinner. When we informed the staff, they did very little beyond asking us to “trust” that the mouse would not get into the food, which honestly was not reassuring at all. Unfortunately, this completely ruined the experience for us. We usually enjoy both the food and the atmosphere here, which makes this even more disappointing.

I had dinner here during the Jazz Festival. The food was okay (chateaubriand), but what really disappointed me was the small glass of beer that was served... a tiny glass. It is probably normal at (some) restaurants, but to me, it is a sign of trying to make a cheap cut. After that, I ordered a bottle of beer so as not to let my experience be ruined any further. The staff huddle together at the cash register.

Saturday afternoon at 4:30 PM, just enjoying a quick drink in the sun on the terrace… “no, sorry… we are setting the tables for dinner…” You could also say that there is a short opportunity to have a drink. Now you are losing customers.

I ate a delicious carpaccio sandwich and a Caesar salad.

I chose salmon with asparagus and it was tasty, but my children chose something else and it was very raw. The service is not the best and one of the staff members was also grumpy and he puts the plate down very hard on the table.

In my case, I would cook the steak a little more well-done, and the fries need to be fresh too.

We had a delicious meal at Mr. Moos in Breda, where we sat outside on the heated terrace. The terrace looked well-maintained and inviting, which was the reason we chose to sit there. Inside, it is also a beautiful establishment, atmospherically and stylishly decorated. The service was top-notch; Dylan stood out. He knows his trade well and created a nice and relaxed atmosphere at the table. We were surprised with an amuse-bouche, which was a nice start to the evening. However, this arrived at the same time as the starter, which was a minor drawback. For the starter, we had Thai mussels, and they were truly delicious and super tender! For the main course, we chose the spareribs and the truffle pasta. Both dishes were very tasty. The spareribs were perfectly cooked, tender, and full of flavor. All in all, a pleasant experience with delicious food, good service, and a beautiful setting. Definitely a place to come back to.

The atmosphere in the restaurant and the food are very good, but the service leaves something to be desired. Just putting drinks on the table and asking us to pass them around, even though there is plenty of room. I could barely hear the waitress, and apparently on Sundays the service is also run down.

I have eaten here several times both with a large group and just one or two others. While the overall vibe and atmosphere is pretty casual and a little loud, the quality of the food always impresses me.

I tried the Mr. Moose eggs and seriously... just do it. This is one of those places where you think afterward: why wasn't I here sooner? Don't hesitate, just go. Thank me later. 🔥🍳

We stumbled into this place by chance, but we couldn't have had a better evening. The food was delicious, the service was friendly, and the place itself is huge. It was packed, so we had to wait five minutes, but it was totally worth it.

A very atmospheric and beautifully decorated restaurant. The service was quick and friendly. There were 13 of us, and everyone was served at the same time, so it was a good experience. The food was good, but I expected a bit better value for money (I'd give it an 8). It's a shame you had to order the fries separately for €5.50. I had the whole sea bass; make sure you clean it yourself and watch out for bones 😉.

I come here very often, and when it comes to dining out, I always mention this place. I think it's a really great place. The menu is quite extensive. It's a shame you can't just pop in for a drink. I sometimes think I'll have a drink and then a snack, but it's often full, so yeah, nothing they can do about it, but it's a shame. The staff could also come by more often. But the food and atmosphere are very good, and the price is good too.

Attended for lunch with work (18/12/2025) It's a nice place to see inside. It was incredibly busy for a Wednesday afternoon, which is always a good sign. We were seated near the center of the building. The food is excellent, the salads are generous in quantity, and for me personally (poached egg, salmon, hollandaise sauce), the dishes were perfectly prepared. My other colleagues also enjoyed delicious meals, ranging from chicken pie to a delicious-looking hamburger. It's a great place to spend time, both in terms of food and service. The atmosphere is, so to speak, in the eye of the beholder. We sat under the most shabby, ugly lamp I've ever seen: a tangled deer antler with lamps that are supposed to look like candles, and the large buffalo on the wall is also just a matter of personal taste. Definitely worth a second or third visit.

Once again, we had a delicious meal and drinks here. The service is always friendly and helpful, and they have a menu with something for everyone.

A very busy restaurant even at 18.30 on a Tuesday, I was really surprised by how many people were already eating. Good food with sufficient vegetarian options and nice wine/beer choices. Service by the very young waiting staff was good. No dogs were in the premises, perfect! Nice Italian wine
