Staff (ladies) are smoking on their own terrace, do not see that your glass is empty and are rather lazy than tired. Really not recommended. Stay away from here.

Well, it was very difficult to communicate. We ordered burgers and fries. The fries were dry and the burger had bacon on it even though it wasn't on the menu. We decided to make a new burger and ended up having to pay a cheeky €50 Pay for the fries since we didn't touch the burgers

We have visited twice now. On both occasions we had delicious fresh salads and a glass of wine. The staff were really lovely and welcoming. Happy to recommend!

We were with a large group... predetermined menu, fine, but vague that all the buns for the hamburgers were already open on a plate upon arrival. Only to be served after more than an hour..... service was okay but there there would have been more turnover if the boys and girls would have walked past the tables more often... (know ure customer) ... also not useful not to tell in advance that everything has to be paid for separately and that you then no longer really know how much was drunk.... but that could also have gone wrong with the person who arranged it for our group... all in all an okay burger with fries.....

Olives for 6 euros, very small container and taste of nothing and clearly come from a can or something like that. Tasteless and watery.

Place is beautifully located and has potential to be excellent spot, BUT the service leaves a lot to be desired, the chubby bald waiter is probably one of the rudest waiters I have encountered in the Netherlands (that's already saying alot), he made us feel like he was doing us a favor and it's obvious that he doesn't enjoy doing what he's doing, they have an amazing terrace so they'll always get customers but I for sure will NOT be going back

This is a very nice place to have dinner after a long week at work. We recommend the tarte flambée appetiser. It’s quite tasty. We also had the truffle burgers, which are always a success, with lots of fries. Service is great and friendly. The atmosphere was really welcoming and warm.

We only had lunch here. It is a small nice shop located on a kind of square. The menu is limited in terms of choice. We had bread with carpacio. It wasn't a very large portion, but it tasted good. The only downside was that the crust of the bread is quite hard. I like that myself, but a tablemate didn't like it as much. The service was also excellent and the coffee was okay.

Had a delicious hamburger and a delicious shrimp salad.

Mr. Smith is een gezellig restaurant waar het prettig toeven is. De sfeer is gezellig en het personeel is erg aardig. Wij hebben gelunched en dat was prima. Een uitstekende hamburger met frietjes. De hamburger was zeer smaakvol en bestond uit echt gehakt. Prima. We hebben genoten.

Heerlijk gegeten hier. Via The Fork hier gereserveerd. Hier vooraf Camembert | uit de oven en Steak tataar gegeten! Beiden heerlijk en de camembert is ook zeer royaal. Als hoofdgerecht de steak met portsaus en frietjes. Helemaal top goede kwaliteit vlees. Sfeer en muziek in restaurant was zeer aangenaam. Ook was het fijn dat de voorwaarden en geboden korting van de The Fork direct was berekend. (Dit gebeurd lang niet altijd)

Heerlijke avond gehad bij Mr Smith. Leuke en gezellige bediening en heerlijk eten! Ondanks de drukte wisten ze een persoonlijke service te behouden en was het eten van hoge kwaliteit. Ik kom hier zeker terug, bedankt!

This restaurant has a nice interior and the waitress was really friendly. The atmosphere was also nice. Food was tasty overall but not outstanding. The portion of the steak was also small. We ordered 2 starters, 2 mains and 1 dessert with 4 soft drinks. We ended up paying 95 EUR. But so far it would be okey. What was not okey 1-> We politely told them that there is long black hair in our food (I have super short hair, and my GF has long, blond hair), the manager arrogantly said; "it is not mine" and that is it... We told him that it is also not ours, but he just walked away... Perhaps it is the hair of the staff who prepared our food in the open kitchen and has the exact same length and color. Just perhaps... :) We did not expected to write this off from the check, but the audacity to don't even say sorry for an obvious mistake... What was not okey 2-> Then we got the main dish with 1 portion of fries and across our table the same order went down with two portions of fries... Again it is not crazy bad, but just strange and not expected for a ±100 eur bill level.

Amazingly surprised about this place, I was not expecting this at all, but the food was really excellent, I don't post unless it's really good, and this was just really great 👍

5 juni 2023 Lunch omstreeks 14:00 uur Heerlijk in de zon op het terras. Fijne plek om te lunchen vlakbij Paleis Noordeinde en Koninklijke Stallen departement. De serveerster sprak alleen Engels. Ze begreep wel een beetje Nederlands maar persoonlijk vind ik het onprettig om in Nederland verplicht Engels te moeten praten. We hadden 2 Latte Macchiato en 2 Salade geitenkaas besteld. De Latte was prima. De geitenkaas salade was zeer basic. Slechts wat sla met dressing, een paar stukjes peer er door heen en stukjes geitenkaas er over heen. Dit was absoluut geen waarden naar zijn geld. Wat ik misde was eventueel een uitje, stukje komkommer, tomaatje, of misschien een klein stukje toast of stokbrood. Voor 15 euro zou ik dit nooit meer bestellen en liever naar de buren gaan genaamd Room. Erg zonde.

Nettes Lokal, dass besonders vom Ambiente draußen und dem freundlichen und flotten Service profitiert. Getränke und Kuchen waren gut, aber weder herausragend noch günstig.

Een echte rader voor een lekker hapje eten op een mooie avond. De service was super goed en een compact menu met goede gerechten zorgde voor een top avond! Complimenten aan de eigenaar en de chef

Fijne zaak. Eigenaar, bijdehante man, keek erop toe dat onze glazen vol bleven. Eten kwalitatief erg goed. Kom zeker terug!

Erg vriendelijke serveerster! Zeer gezellige dame. De caffeine vrije koffie is zeker geen aanrader, de menukaart is erg beperkt, weinig keuze. De Shepperdspie die niet op de kaart stond was goed, ook de hamburger, kan natuurlijk weinig fout gaan aan een hamburger was lekker, maar de clubsandwich leek totaal niet op een sandwich, eerder op een broodje hamburger zonder hamburger, onmogelijk om netjes te eten, veel vettige producten erop zoals gesmolten kaas, en gemaakt met geroosterde harde bollen, erg lastig om te eten, dat verwacht je niet als je een club sandwich besteld. Meer keuze op de kaart zou ook zeker welkom zijn.

We came across this place on a lovely square in Den Haag. It serves beautifully cooked food. We had a great evening. All the staff were fantastic. See below for dietary issues. I had a burger-simple but really well cooked. In fact the couple next to us each ordered a burger when they saw mine. My wife had sea bass. Again well cooked and highly recommended. Overall worthy of a 5star review.

Wij zijn gister met z'n tweetjes voor het eerst bij Mr. Smith gaan eten. Niet alleen was het eten voortreffelijk, de sfeer was daarnaast erg knus en gezellig. Zeer vriendelijke eigenaar en personeel. Zeker een aanrader!

Wir kamen spontan an dem kleinen Lokal vorbei und beschlossen kurzerhand eine Kleinigkeit essen zu gehen. Kaum waren wir auf der Suche nach einem Tisch, schon wurden wir sehr freundlich empfangen. Direkt bekamen wir einen süßen kleinen Tisch und wurden direkt nett bedient. Die Getränke bestellt und sofort trafen diese ein. Sehr nettes, gut durch organisiertesund vor allem sehr aufmerksames Personal. Die Lage ist auch sehr entspannt und man sitzt quasi auf einer Verkehrsinsel umgeben von malerischen, alten Gebäuden mit wundervollen Fassaden. Kann man nur empfehlen! Preisleistung ebenfalls sehr gut!

Nice cozy place, to hang out/chill, can sit inside or out on the square, the raw tuna flammkuchen was fusion style, delish and original. Toilet was clean, service was friendly and fast.
