Narline in Zuidwolde is an absolute gem! Located in a beautiful old farmhouse full of charm and atmosphere, in an idyllic setting. The friendly staff makes you feel instantly welcome. The food is of a high gastronomic standard – refined flavors, beautifully presented, and lovingly prepared. I had a delicious chicken satay, although I found the satay sauce a bit disappointing…but that's probably just me, as I make it myself according to an authentic Indonesian recipe. A place where you don't just eat, you truly enjoy!

We had the Boschendal picnic. Unfortunately, due to the bad weather, we had to stay inside. The food we received was good, but not surprising. A bit bland. Considering the price, we expected much more. No special flavors, a bit bland, and not much. Especially the appetizers. 75 euros was really too much. The price-quality ratio could have been better.

We enjoyed the 5-course chef’s menu with wine pairing at Restaurant Narline. Each dish was thoughtfully composed, with impressive ingredient combinations and layered flavors that showed great attention to detail. Most of the wine pairings complemented the food well, although one was served slightly too warm. The only downside was the noise level in the restaurant, which made it difficult to fully relax and enjoy the experience. If the acoustics could be improved, it would elevate the overall dining experience even further.

I don't know which one to start commenting on. When I think about the surroundings and look at the entrance, I didn't think it would open up to such a paradise. As soon as we enter, a wonderful entrance area welcomes us. The inside is a separate beauty of course, butaaaaa The garden part is really magnificent. We fell in love with their decoration, service, presentation and attention. This is definitely a place I will come here very often and enjoy spending time. I made a reservation for my wife's birthday. They were incredibly helpful right from the reservation stage. They arranged a wonderful table. They hosted us in the most delicate way from the cava service at the table to the poloroid photo service. It is a wonderful environment, the staff is extremely professional. There are towels at the sinks to dry hands. And every area of ​​the place is spotlessly clean. And they manage to appeal to the eye wonderfully. Let's come to the menu, everything from the treats on the table to the salad to the main course was extremely delicious and consistent. It was on our table with such a consistent taste, technique and presentation that we didn't have to say, "Can you make this like this? Or can you cook it a little more?" Nothing comes to the table one after another and overwhelms you. Fill the table, finish it as soon as possible and leave, not events. Stay completely in the moment, focus on what you are eating and enjoy the whole process. They have their own free parking. It was a great experience and a great evening indeed. See you again.

Finally had a delicious meal in Narline's garden again. Shameful service. Bisque was superb. Sweetbreads deliciously crispy. And there was also the test. Definitely come back. Nicest find in a year. If there was anything to complain about, I would have chosen different coffee beans.

First time for me to have dinner here. My choice was a 4-course chef's special. I was very surprised by the cozy atmosphere. The expertise of the staff was very good. Explanations about the wines and dishes were extensive. If you want to dine in an attractive environment, then you have come to the right place. Parking is also no problem. Although I think 2 places are a bit on the tight side.

Ate here for the 4th time and again no disappointment. 5 course surprise menu this time. Nice atmosphere, service takes the time for the guest and the explanation of the dishes is excellent. Enjoyed the creations of the kitchen brigade plus the matching wines from appetizer to dessert. The only issue is the price of the water, but they are forgiven. Nice and good restaurant, easily accessible

Always had a good meal at Narline, but last time the food was very disappointing. We ordered chicken satay; little taste, seemed as if the chicken had been pre-cooked. Almost no satay sauce and prawn crackers with a strong fish flavour. In our experience, the combination did not go well with the dish. For more than €23, I thought the price, quality and service were very poor. We also fed this back to the operating staff, but it was not really addressed. Seems like the enthusiasm to serve good food has disappeared.

We had the pleasure of celebrating our wedding at Narline last Thursday. We had made several agreements in advance about how we wanted to organize our day and what the options were. We were already very satisfied with this. The day itself was really fantastic for us! We enjoyed it immensely and everything was well organized and arranged down to the last detail. Changes on the day itself were also no problem. What a service! What flexibility and what friendliness!

No style, no class. Everything exudes an atmosphere of greed. Intimidating, extremely disruptive and uncomfortable. A surprise menu where you have to order vegetables and (delicious) fries and pay extra for them is not a menu, but is called á la carte. So much for the surprise. With a service balancing on the edge of completely unnecessary arrogance, people do not know their place here. The pressure to order everything unfortunately came across as a chase by a carpet seller at an Oriental market. You can't help but hear the cash register ringing somewhere with every bite you take. The toilets were really dirty: the towels were gone, the laundry basket was overflowing and the entire floor was full of laundry. In short: the balance between price/quality/quantity is a bit lost. Once outside, a very old joke comes up: should we stop by the cafeteria?

This restaurant is an absolute must! The food, service and atmosphere are top notch. Our special thanks go to Julian and Joyce. For them, the customer is still really king. With their knowledge of wine and atmosphere, they spoiled us until the end of the evening.

Once again a great meal, but the courses were served quite quickly one after the other. Which meant I was already quite full by the 3rd course. On the one hand, it is understandable that the service was served a little faster, perhaps because of a weekday evening. But I think eating at Narline is a night out and now we were "outside" again after about 2.5 hours, which I personally thought was a bit of a shame.

We had a very nice meal in Narline. There are a few points that we think could be improved a little. In the starter "Eel and Dutch shrimps", the presence of the eel was a bit meager, it was 4 small thin strips and that could have been a bit more. Same for the cod in the main course. Nevertheless, both dishes were very tasty and delicious. As Belgians, we missed a tasty Dutch cheese to go with the cheese on offer. Especially compliments for the friendly service.

Ate here because we were curious after leaving the Green Lantern. We went on June 7, 2024. There is ample parking space. Reception was neat. There has been a lot of renovation work and little is left of the cozy old house. Everything modernized and very busy. This causes quite a bit of noise and makes it somewhat difficult to converse with each other. The freshly sliced ​​ham was very tasty. The King Fish was totally tasteless. The only thing with taste was the grapefruit. Also a hair of 20 cm in one of the dishes. Show this but no excuse, nothing. Only a dirty face from 1 of the owners. The other dishes were disjointed. The flavors in the dishes did not match. The toilet was neat, but it's a pity that they do their best with guest towels. Unfortunately there are far too few. So no dry hands. For what is served, the taste is very substandard, especially for this money. We had the surprise menu, unfortunately this was a somewhat lesser surprise.

For our third wedding anniversary, we had dinner at Narline's on recommendation. As a surprise for my husband, I chose a 3-course menu with matching wine pairing. One word for everything: WOW! Tasty is an understatement and even an insult. What a fantastic and unforgettable evening the two of us had.

Wow, what a great restaurant. Incredibly friendly staff, nice atmosphere and they have managed to serve a fantastic 3-course dinner despite almost impossible dietary requirements.

With a fairly extensive diet and allergy list, they know what to do here. All (adapted) courses were presented with great enthusiasm and dedication. Delicious food! Highly recommended.

We had the 5 course menu, 2 dishes were really tasty and surprising. The rest was mediocre and the main course was duck breast fillet in miso gravy and hazelnut puree. The nature of the hazelnut shell completely destroyed the taste of the duck, the miso was not exciting and adding star anise and parsnip puree made it much tastier and more exciting. The dessert, on the other hand, was great, beautiful strawberry ice cream with strawberries marinated in elderflower syrup (sounds nice, but you won't find that at all with a strawberry) with a citrus cream and citrus baklava, masterful. Unfortunately, this dish was not separately on the menu, otherwise I would have come back for it. Beautiful location too

More than a great restaurant. They know how to cater a dinner party!

We had a delicious meal. Atmosphere everything was good. A mention about the sole, I ordered a whole sole. This one is pricey. I expected 4 fillet. However, there were 2 pieces on the plate, in my opinion that is half. I asked about this how they do it. Half a sole is then 1 fillet. This is misleading. I would put on the chart the number of fillets you get because then there will be no confusion. The tongue was very tasty. So no complaints about that. Just a tip to describe it differently in the map.
