What a wonderful evening! The dishes are true works of art, paired with the matching wines and delicious non-alcoholic drinks. The many courses, each with a story, are created with love and passion. The conversations with the charming staff make the evening a true feast! A must-try for the senses!

What a wonderful experience dining at Neder is. From the moment you walk in until you leave, everything is perfect. The wines are delicious, and always unique and special thanks to the pairings and, for example, the region (wine from the province of Zeeland!). The dishes are fantastic, every course unique, creative, imaginative, and simply delicious. What a wonderful evening we had.

Last night we celebrated life together at NEDER in Alkmaar. What a fantastic evening we had. Incredibly delicious food and drinks (non-alcoholic) and a fantastic experience. People with a passion for their craft and respect for nature and all the wonderful ingredients available in our beautiful country to produce all these delicacies. Hats off to this young entrepreneur who, with this unique concept, has taught us to eat with flavor again. We were both incredibly surprised by everything, and as a team, I think they deserve another star. EXCELLENT, with an eye for the smallest details. Like a thank-you card with a personal message for your visit. We are fans and will definitely be back.

The perfect place. We’ve been here a few times and it’s always wonderful. The menu changes seasonally and yet the food is consistently amazing - creative, well balanced, and beautifully presented. The staff is sweet, knowledgeable, and are clearly passionate about the work they do. You can’t go wrong eating at Neder.

An intimate and atmospheric restaurant. The service was very friendly. The food was excellent. What stood out was that the dishes revolved around good mise en place – which resulted in many dishes being lukewarm. While this didn't completely detract from the flavor, I missed the warmth and vibrancy that a dish fresh from the stove can have. On the other hand, it's incredibly impressive and enjoyable that everything is Dutch, which creates some surprising elements. We had the non-alcoholic drinks with the courses, and among them were some truly outstanding performers: a beautiful gem in Alkmaar!

Wow! What a treat this was! Delicious dishes and matching wines. The non-alcoholic drinks also paired perfectly with the dishes. Everything served here is Dutch. What an incredible feat! The service was excellent and very friendly. Asking further revealed their expertise. The only downside was that the dishes were served very quickly; one dish was replaced with the next within two minutes. But nevertheless, it was enjoyable, and we will definitely be back!

A lovely restaurant with fantastic food. The service was a bit too pushy. They were all too eager to explain how everything was prepared (and whether we wanted anything else to drink). As a result, the focus was a bit too much on themselves rather than on us as guests. It's also a shame they don't serve coffee. The reasoning was that it doesn't come from the Netherlands...

From the very first contact, the Neder team has been careful with the dietary requirements of their guests. Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by two hostesses. This restaurant has thought about everything down to the last detail. With a passionate focus on the guests. We have experienced the entire Pairing. Hats off to the creative, tasteful and eye-catching dishes. And the sommelier at the table, what knowledge and creativity with his own made non-alcoholic drinks. Which are so suitable for the dishes. Your taste buds will dance.-) Finally, the personal touch at the end of the evening. An envelope with the Pairing menu and the personal card. Grateful that we have experienced this magnificent evening with this beautiful Neder team. Everything was perfect.

An unforgettable evening. There were two of us and we had Chef's Table seats. You sit next to each other and have a view of the entire kitchen. A kind of live and in-person version of a Netflix episode. Staff is super friendly. Nice that there is no division into brigades, because you get to talk to the entire team. The food was divine with "Alkmaar's Waterzooi" and raw dairy cow with beetroot and smoked egg yolk as favorites. It is not cheap, but worth every penny.

We can highly recommend the restaurant. The entire team at Restaurant Neder gave us a wonderful evening. Bold, wild and deliciously balanced dishes with a real taste experience. We had a direct view into the kitchen and were able to witness the truly great craftsmanship involved in preparing the food and exchange a word or two with head chef Brian and his sous chef, which made us feel like part of the team that evening. To round things off, we finished off with the preparation of gooseberries fermented in jars and the linden blossoms that he had freshly picked in the park for the next tea, and we could smell that fresh Dutch produce is his craft and his joy. The two sommeliers are also a well-coordinated team and selected wonderful wines to go with our meal. Great service, discreet yet very attentive. All in all, a fantastic evening and absolutely reasonable in price.

What a great evening. Super delicious food and nice to see, hear and taste how the dishes are made with care. Also nice the possibility to combine a wine arrangement with a non-alcoholic arrangement.

If we could give ten stars, we would without a doubt. We came here for lunch, and everything was worked out down to the smallest detail. In every dish you could clearly taste how much time, attention and energy had been put into it. We chose both an alcoholic and a non-alcoholic pairing, and especially the non-alcoholic surprised us enormously. The depth and complexity of the flavors were really impressive. We will definitely be back!

We had lunch at restaurant Neder. And before lunch we went on a wild picking walk. It was really great fun. And we realized how far we are from nature now. It is highly recommended. The lunch was excellent. We had a delicious meal and the explanation during the walk gave us a lot of respect for this way of cooking.

Highly creative and exciting, seasonal and regional cuisine – including Belgian and Limburg wines. A true feast for the palate. What Nordic cuisine à la Noma can offer is equally exceptional here in Dutch. Make a reservation early.

In a beautiful historic building on the Laat in Alkmaar you will be warmly welcomed and that is where our journey through culinary Netherlands started at the Chef’s table. By only using products from Dutch soil and as locally as possible, Brian has taken on a great challenge and he and his team more than live up to that. The dishes that came along were all surprising and tasty. So were the non-alcoholic creations of Bart in the pairing arrangement. It is great to see from the “kitchen table” how the team in the kitchen and at the front work together. The passion for the profession is visible. Highly recommended!

A true treasure in my hometown. We haven’t had fine dining like this in years! Their dedication to local products has resulted in a wonderful experience of exciting new flavors, beautifully presented dishes, and a super friendly, laid-back service. The cozy ambiance perfectly rounds it off. Five stars from us – and I wouldn’t be surprised if they soon get a star from Michelin too.

What a TOP experience! Super host - hostess. Very nice and special dishes. What flavors, what smells and what diversity and quality. And then the non-alcoholic drinks with it homemade kombucha, shrub and water kefir. Brilliant. One big culinary party. Absolute RECOMMENDATION!

Amazing place. The dishes were all locally sourced, very creative and simply fantastic. Oysters with ants were some of the best oysters I ever had. Pork rib was packed with flavour. Beef tartar with smoked egg, delicious. The staff was super nice, answered all our questions and created a great atmosphere. Also, dutch wines can be really nice. Obviously the price is high but they do deliver a great dinner menu.

We ended a great evening with a disappointed feeling. Beautiful restaurant, delicious drinks and great snacks. However, during the meal and at the end of the evening we did not feel as satisfied as we had hoped. We had chosen the plant-based menu (exclusively offered on the website). This menu was well put together, but there were clearly missing binding elements in certain courses. The last two courses were great, but the courses before that seemed like a simpler copy of what our neighbours ate. As if egg, dairy and meat had been omitted instead of being creatively filled with equivalent structures and fillings. I honestly think that in certain dishes elements have been replaced but especially removed. Unfortunately, this also became clear when we ordered a liqueur after the delicious dessert. All the surrounding tables were given some home-made goodies with their coffee and we were skipped without mercy. How terribly uncomfortable we felt at that moment and were full of disbelief and thought that it would still happen. The answer we got back after we reported it was "thank you for the feedback". For a night out of more than €250, you expect an experience that may be close to perfection. For us it was absolutely not. Too many elements were missing and that it was dismissed so easily for us was very sad, because this is the kind of experience you hope to keep with you for the rest of your culinary life. So what disappointed us: 1. I bet no homemade butter or dip with the bread, but supermarket butter. Then make a nice dip or really good oil with herbs, that goes down a lot better. 2. a large part of the dishes did not taste fully alongside what the people who did not eat plant-based or vegetarian ate. 3. with the headline: the closing with the dessert that we simply skipped was simply annoying and rude. As if we were reporting something that was not really important. Well for us it was and we felt quite excluded. We were really looking forward to this special place, but we have a bad feeling. The green star is not deserved in our opinion on vegan level and not fitting after this experience. We would have liked to see it differently. We are certainly open to a second chance, but then at the invitation of Neder.

You shouldn't come here for the food if you want to go home full. The taste is also debatable. Personally, I found the dishes to have a sour aftertaste. And if it hadn't, it would have been burnt. I found the price-quality ratio shocking. You pay €70 in advance and after the 6-course menu you are at least €200 lighter. All ingredients come from the Netherlands. Which means you limit yourself enormously with the flavours. Ants on an oyster was a real No-Go for me. Nice that they were caught with a whistle. The use of seasonal vegetables was also not used. My table companion found half of the dishes tasty but certainly not special. The staff was very friendly and had a story for each dish.

Fantastically fun and original experience. The two of us had dinner on Saturday evening. Consumed both alcoholic and non-alcoholic pairing. Non alcoholic surpasses the alcoholic. What flavors, extremely innovative. The Dutch wines from the alcoholic pairing are fine, but do not exceed the taste and quality of German, Austrian, French or Italian wines. Dishes are beautiful and also have very surprising flavors. You notice that a lot of love and attention is put into it. The whole evening was great. Small point for improvement: from the main course onwards the service decreases and there is a clear focus on completion. As a result, the experience that is clearly set in motion from the start is not retained. Also, after dessert you really feel like it's done. Coffee is deliberately not served, but a clear replacement of coffee and tea would complete it. Without you noticing that the service is already focused on completion. We still enjoyed chocolates and decaf coffee at home because after such a dinner you still crave something sweet. An alternative to complete coffee would be golden. We missed that, but mention it more constructively than as criticism. We really had a great evening.

What a special restaurant this is! A gem in Alkmaar! The team pays a lot of attention to you as a guest and the goal is to give you a pleasant evening. That worked! Super delicious dishes, everything local (except for one cheese 😉) complimented by beautiful Dutch wines. Highly recommended!

Geweldige ervaring bij Neder. We hadden Chefs Table geboekt. Daar konden we meekijken in de keuken en kwam de chef regelmatig bij ons met een toelichting op de gerechten en bereiding. Het kleine team werkte als perfect geoliede machine. Nergens stress, veel glimlachen en accuraat. Het eten was origineel en smakelijk waarbij het zeewiergerechtje er voor ons qua orginaliteit en de bietentartaar qua smaak uitsprong. Hele leuke ervaring tijdens ons mooie weekend Alkmaar.

Absolutely divine experience from start to finish - the service was impeccable, the flavours and textures invigorating and meaningful and the atmosphere intimate. If you’re looking for a quiet place with all-local ingredients, ethically sourced, that cares about delighting guests and remaking what the dining experience can be, come to Neder. It’s a true home away from home. They even got me a little dessert and gorgeous postcard when they found out it was my birthday - it felt neither contrived or weird, just perfect.

Our experience was outstanding both in terms of taste and in terms of atmosphere and service – a clear 12/10! The entire team clearly lives their passion for this concept, which made our stay a completely special experience. Stijlvol restaurant met uitsluitend Nederlandse ingrediënten en wijnen. Vast 6-gangen menu van € 95 per persoon, plus winepairing van € 50 is vrij prijzig, maar wel erg leuke beleving en ervaring van deze Nederlandse ingrediënten. Lekkere oesters als extra voorgerecht, plus lekkere amuses voordat het 6-gangen menu geserveerd werd. Mooi opgediend en plezierige toelichting van alle gerechten en wijnen en non alcoholische drankjes, waarvan veel deels gefermenteerd zijn.

Delicious food, super friendly staff, and a really nice concept. I had the non-alcoholic pairing myself and it was really fun to try all the different fermented drinks. The dishes contained really interesting ingredients in an original way. The four of us really enjoyed ourselves. It was a birthday dinner, and the birthday boy also received a special extra dessert with a handwritten card. Nice, that personal touch! We have now reached the end of Winter, and I immediately told my partner that we should actually try it every season, because I am now very curious about what they can do with spring, summer and autumn ingredients!

Interesting concept with local products but heavily overpriced and poorly executed. Service and atmosphere are OK. Food is reasonable, but the local ingredients used (onion, celeriac, carrot, beetroot) remain very simple, no matter how nice you bake and serve it. It doesn't live up to the price either. Being obliged to be at the table at 7 p.m. is not convenient during the week, puts time pressure and is too early for us.

Had a delicious meal at Neder. We had a 6 course dinner with an extra course and non-alcoholic pairing. Each dish was special and above all very tasty, the non-alcoholic drinks also paired perfectly with each dish. The service was very nice and well attended, they answered every question from us with great pleasure. I can't help but recommend this restaurant 100%. 10 stars!

The food is magnificent, I can't say anything else about it. All the staff can talk about the courses and think about any minor changes to the menu. The service is personal but not too friendly. You'll spend a few nickels, but if you can spare it, it's worth every penny!

Go to the new store in Nijmegen in February, I don't think it can get any better there. On to the green top. Success.

The November menu consisted of dishes with game picking, planed chestnut, acorns, autumn leaves, 20 year old Beemster, garlic heated for 2 months at 60 degrees, freshwater bass, etc., special but above all delicious. Je moet er even inkomen in hun visie maar dan krijg je ook wat ongeloof lekkere gerechten mooie producten vanuit Nederland op een super speciale manier gemaakt bereikt en opgediend het wijnarrangement is iets beperkt doordat ook alle wijnen uit Nederland moeten komen daarin tegen is het non alcohol arrangement wat je kan nemen ongelofelijk lekker speciaal mooi en Ben ik nog in geen een sterrenrestaurant tegengekomen top werkelijk waarbij iedere gang ook een speciaal non alcohol drankje perfect

Wir haben einen megatollen Geburtstag zu zweit im Neder verbracht. Schon der Tisch mit Blick in die Küche hat uns super gefallen. Das wir diesen Platz bekommen haben, hat uns sehr gefreut. Alle Gerichte waren sehr lecker und liebevoll angerichtet. Der Service war super freundlich und zuvorkommend. Auch die Getränkebegleitung hat uns begeistert. Es hat alles gepasst.

Today I took a fermentation course with Jordy, who is very enthusiastic and knows a lot about it! Also fun with some tastings in between.

We were surprised by the hospitality and creativity. Have already eaten at several star restaurants. Neder is unique. Everything home-grown, from the polder, forests and dunes. So it also requires a lot of creativity. It's delicious, surprising and I didn't know certain ingredients could taste so good. Seeds and herbs that I didn't know yet. The workshops they give. Brain taught us a lot, our eyes and taste pupils have been opened. Congratulations on your green star Brain and Josje. After all that hard work, you 100% earned it.
