The black bean sauce in oyster sauce is highly recommended, staff could improve the atmosphere as well, staff is very curt. Last time I had the Indian rice table, I think it actually came from a can, because it didn't taste like anything, really a waste of money.

The tastiest! Always top, good quality and delicious taste, have been coming there for a long time. Mihoen with beef is great, fuyonghai, vegetarian and normal spring roll is also great

Ate here on July 14. in short; dog food. the Indonesian rice table was cold, beans were from a can (we were even told when we asked, we laughed unashamedly...), mushy - dirty! service was unfriendly and indifferent. and paid a lot for it!! really not recommended.

A wonderful experience to eat a number of dishes again, especially dim sums. They were just as delicious as I remember them from when I was younger! So definitely a reason for me to go back. An affordable card!

This restaurant saved us after a long, jet lagged day of exploring Amsterdam. The service was great and the food seemed to be made with high quality ingredients. We split the dim sum variety dish as well as the chicken with cashews and vegetables. Perfect amount for two road worn travelers. Thanks New China City!

What a bad meal, I think the worst Chinese in Amsterdam. 26€ for some fried shrimps with chili sauce. Impossible. I live in the old south and eat everywhere and nowhere, but this was really the last straw. Service is helpful and neat, but the food is terribly bad. Saturday evening and the place is almost empty. Then you can guess it too. All in all a disappointment.

Unfortunately, we didn't like this very much. While we had heard such good things about this Chinese restaurant. We took as takeaway dishes: For Nam (crispy pork belly) with thick noodles And the shrimp in garlic sauce with white nasi. The pangang for nam was first very coarsely chopped, large chunks of meat and so "thrown" into the container. In addition, it was not crispy and chewy. Seemed like it was warmed up again or something... Not freshly made. The shrimp in garlic sauce looked more like tjaptjoy with shrimp... lots of vegetables, including peppers, lots of onions and also some mushrooms... in the oh so well-known shiny cornstarch sauce. And the white nasi...just had no taste at all. Not worth repeating for us.

NB ! I've been coming here for 35 years. I am 100% at home there. Huge selection of food. My absolute favorite is steak in black soybean sauce with noodles. I would kill for that. Hard to beat.

The main course is good, by taste and quality. I think that white rice is overpriced. It is not soft as it should be so I dont think that €6 for 1 portion of white rice is worth it.

We did not stay long enough to eat so I cannot leave a review for this. The reason we did not stay was because our table was just dirty, stained napkin+table cloth and hair on it as well. It felt old and outdated and the menu was not appealing to us. It was just not a nice atmosphere and I would not recommend

I had been in Europe for a while, I'm Mexican and here they treated us very kindly. The food was very good, the tea was very delicious and the soup was the same.

Picked up on Saturday evening. We had chicken curry, babi pangang, and beef in black bean sauce. Everything was delicious.

I absolutely love this restaurant! I've been a loyal customer for years and it never disappoints. The staff is super friendly, and the food never disappoints. Everything tastes fresh, especially their amazing "Hot and Sour Soup" – it's always packed with flavor. And don't even get me started on their Corn Soup; it's absolutely delicious. Oh, and you've got to try the Duck it's a definite must-try!

Met volle verwachting gingen we dit eens proberen, we dachten weer eens een ander Chinees restaurant te proberen. Het was er bijna helemaal leeg, nog nooit meegemaakt bij een Chinees maar de bediening was aardig dus we bleven toch. Hadden we beter niet kunnen doen want het eten was echt walgelijk en duur voor de slechte kwaliteit. €4 voor 1 extra pannekoekje voor bij de eend? Als je eten besteld met saus, krijg je het apart in een bakje ipv dat het er lekker in gebakken is. Vis was verrot en moest terug. Nee niet naar toe gaan, zonde.

Slecht eten, boontjes uit de blik, alles doordrenkt in dikke aangemaakte saus. Het eten was niet vers en niet lekker. Wel mooi tafelkleed en servetten, mooi glazen en goed service

Excellent Chinese restaurant in South Amsterdam. It’s definitely a hidden gem, we discovered it by pure chance. Amazing special dishes (roasted duck and lamb curry), generous portions. Strongly recommended

Heb hier zitten eten met cliënten uit Hong Kong dus echte Chinezen zowel wij als deze delegatie vonden het uitmuntend . Zeker een aanrader ( probeer maar uit ) Ben zelf ook een ondernemer en ben ervan overtuigd dat er altijd mensen zullen zijn die iets te zeuren hebben.

The food was very average. The vegetables were limp and way overcooked. The gado gado consists only of bean sprouts, no other vegetables and with 1 egg, while it was for 2 people, flat flavors. I do not recommend it and certainly not the Indian rice table for 2, which also costs €10 more than €50 instead of €40 if you pick it up. A big difference. The babi pangang was good and the service friendly

Ok, ik at hier 2x parking eend en ik was echt in love! Vandaag haalde ik mijn pa over om het weer een keer te eten. Allebei spijt! De eend was super droog, geen lekkere smaak. De mie was aan de droge kant en de loempia's waren mega vet....de smaak vd loempia's was ok maar we hebben zeker de helft van alles weggegooid :( heel erg zonde en voorlopig gaan we hier even niks halen.

Als afhaal gerecht; kip in zwartebonen saus met mihoen. Het was heel smakelijk. De kip en groenten waren perfect gewokt en goed van structuur. Terwijl je wacht, neem een lekker getapt biertje als voorgerecht. Een zaak om regelmatig chinese gerechten af te halen.

First i Phoned. After 15 minutes waiting i hung up and went to the restaurant. There were few people inside but the let me wait an other 10 minuten. That was enough for me... Are they understanding Dutch??? Or just ignoring what you try to tell them... No excuses. Just repeating: what you want to order ...3 times. Enough. I walked out. I come here for years, the food is good. But this kind of service is not friendly. Its a pity..

Is één van de weinig overgebleven "Chinezen" met een traditionele kaart. Kom hier graag en vaak eten afhalen. Kwaliteit is en blijft goed.

Het eten is van goede kwaliteit en vers. Bediening is top! Ik kom hier zeker nog keer terug.

Heerlijk gegeten: Begonnen met 2 loempia's en daarna Chinese groenten met tofu. Voortreffelijk. En vriendelijke personeel. Ik kan dit restaurant een ieder aanbevelen.

Hier kan je echt heel lekker eten. Fantastische smaken echt aan te bevelen.

Kom hier al sinds ik klein bent. Een echt Hollandse Chinees met bami en babi pangang. Ik vind wel dat het gedurende de jaren wat duurder is geworden.

Wir haben ganz hervorragend gegessen. Frisch zubereitet, sehr lecker 😋, würde jederzeit wieder hin gehen.

Fancied Chinese food whilst here in Amsterdam, been to some fancy places so far and was not expecting this particular evening to be the best of all! It’s a totally normal, and cosy, little place. Not fussy or expensive at all, but woah the food is absolutely fabulous! Prawn sate, pork belly, enormous prawns with gorgeous Chinese vegetables and fried rice - all of it cooked perfectly and amazing flavours. And the people? So friendly and such great service. Can’t recommend it highly enough! Thank you, New China City, for a lovely evening.
