New York Pizza in Bos- en Gasthuisdistrict

After waiting over an hour, I had the most mediocre pizza I've ever had. I asked for some parsley on the pizza, and it was like they dumped a whole jar of it on top. It's a miracle that a fairly standard pepperoni pizza is otherwise inedible.

Ordered at 9.47pm from New York Pizza Leiden Bevrijdingsplein. The status shows completed but did not receive the pizza. When trying to call them, the shops shows that it is closed. What a bullshit and highly recommend not to order from here again!!

What a mess. After waiting over 80 minutes (the website says delivery time is 45-70 minutes), I finally called. They told me the pizza was going into the oven, and that it was a Tuesday evening. No compensation was offered, so next time I'll just get a different pizza from a different company. Edit... final score: waited 2 hours and 15 minutes for an ice-cold pizza, no compensation whatsoever. Threw the pizza away and made something else myself. Spent 17 euros for absolutely nothing, that's what you get for ordering food from New York Pizza on a normal Tuesday evening.

Delicious and affordable pizzas. Lots of good options for vegetarians. Not too expensive either.

Cold pizza! The pizzas themselves are average, so if you like them like I do, that's perfectly fine. But at NY Pizza Leiden, the delivery is abysmal. It takes over an hour, with the delivery itself taking over 45 minutes. Meanwhile, the delivery is "Completed," after which it still takes over 15 minutes. And then, as expected, you get a cold pizza. It's great! This is the third time we've experienced this. What are we actually paying for, good food or nonsense? We're done with these amateurs!

Fast delivery. The pizza was very disappointing; it wasn't warm and the toppings were thin. Not good value for money. Not worth repeating.

Fast delivery, but I think the bakers got a bit confused between Downtown Döner and Teriyaki Chicken pizza. It ended up being Teriyaki Döner. Oh well, an adventure, right? Otherwise, satisfied as usual (:

An hour and a half ago I ordered pizzas. It was indicated that it would take half an hour to 50 minutes. In the meantime we wait much longer and when you call someone, the phone number does not answer and you are hung up on. All in all… I would never order here

I've always been a huge NY Pizza fan. I'm a gold member and have 660 points. That's quite a few pizzas. But I'm done with NY Pizza. I've ordered a few times now, and the pizzas were cold, overcooked, with few toppings, and the wrong toppings. Complaints are ignored. Yesterday I ordered from Domino's. I'm completely converted. At least they had the right toppings there. The price doesn't matter either. Domino's from now on!

Not sure what happened with this case. Years ago always good pizzas. Now the pizzas are very sparsely topped, 5 mini pieces of chicken and 5 spinach leaves on a 35cm pizza is sad. Pizza is super dry, barely any garlic oil on the edge like before. Quite a thick edge of dough too. Always thought New York was better than other chains, but now it really is the worst after the last few orders. But back to Domino's, much better pizzas.

Been waiting for a pizza for 2 hours

Fantastic! Pizzas were delicious and nice and warm upon arrival! It was also nice that there were gluten-free and vegan options. The garlic sauce on the edge really finishes the pizza off and great service. Class!

Took ages! It finally arrived, and sure enough, it was cold! And not what I ordered! A thick crust and extra sauce. I called afterward, and they argued with me as if I was wrong! Plus, the pizza was rock hard. Not worth repeating.

Ordered pizza for the third time, hoping it would be warm this time. Unfortunately, cold pizzas were delivered again. New pizzas were supposed to take 45 minutes, which is absurd after cold pizzas were delivered. We received compensation for ordering free pizzas once, but I'm not sure if we'll use it... It's a waste of pizzas because they usually taste delicious. Update: Used the compensation and the pizzas are cold again, terrible service. Never order from here.

Service, friendly. But it took 20 minutes longer than expected. The pizza was really ice cold, hard and incorrectly prepared... I had no olives and no cheese (because I wanted a different type of cheese and they weren't even on it) I was robbed triple because it also cost more!!! I give two stresses for the nice delivery person, who had to make too many deliveries!

Unfortunately, I only read the reviews after ordering. A few years ago this was the go-to place for pizza, but apparently something went wrong. Ordered delivery so gave atmosphere a neutral 3. Order placed at 7:25 PM and received at 8:50 PM. Crazy long for one pizza and a can of soda. Unfortunately the pizza was cold and very dry when it was delivered. Shame! For years I was team New York instead of Domino's, but next time I'll switch.

We waited 2 hours for a pizza that didn't arrive. We had already been waiting for 2 hours and were unable to contact the restaurant. I then called another location to ask if this location still existed. We were told that the pizza had not even been made yet. 1 minute later the order was canceled. This is ridiculous... who in God's name makes people wait 2 hours when something hasn't even been made yet????? Please call to say it is too busy or give an update...

Faded glory. It used to be chill to order here, but I am currently waiting 1.5+ hours for my pizza for the 4th time in a row... The previous times the order went wrong every time and I got the wrong one. pizza delivered. I'm guessing that a competent manager has been replaced by an intern, which is a shame.

Delivery of two pizzas took a very long time. They were very cold and looked like they had been dropped, sitting on one side of the box. Once, but never again.

Ordered 2 pizzas (buffalo chicken and a flammkuchen pizza thin & crispy!!) and 1 bratwurst. Delivered after more than an hour, the buffalo turned out to have no sauce on it. And the flammkuchen not to be thin&crispy. Called about this, they offered to have a new thin&crispy delivered (turned out it didn't have a crispy base again, so don't sell it as a flammkuchen pizza!!!) And about the buffalo pizza without sauce, I just had to wait until they brought the sauce with the pizza.

Ordered at 7:10 PM, called at 8:40 PM. Should be there within 20 minutes, still had to be made. I would get Ben&Jerries as a make-up. 9:30 PM, no one answers anymore. 9:37 PM delivered without Ben&Jerries. Once, but never again. Requested money back.

Ordered in 1930, should arrive in 2015. Delivered cold at the end at 2140. Case didn't answer the phone so we had no idea if he was still coming. I stopped by and was assured that the pizza was on its way. Then we went back home, waited a few minutes, and then the cold pizza arrived... I would never order from this.

The last six months that I ordered pizza here it was a disaster every time. The pizza is waiting too long to be delivered, which means the pizzas are cold every time. Very bad store, waited almost 3 hours for two pizzas, ordered at 7:15 PM and at 9:50 PM the delivery person was at the door, called several times. At first there was no answer, after many calls in a row, eventually someone answered and said the pizzas were not yet made and could take longer. Called again an hour and a half after the order time because the frustration was high. The boy on the phone was silent during the conversation and we could no longer reach him. Finally at 9:50 PM the pizzas were delivered, but the also take the delivery person back with us because they were cold and we had to wait far too long for our food, filed a complaint with home delivery and would like compensation money back. This company doesn't even deserve one star

The Double Pepperoni pizza from New York Pizza is simply delicious! Lots of pepperoni and tasty cheese make this pizza a winner for lovers of salty toppings. Highly recommended, will definitely order here more often!

From California. Great Selection. If you're not a critical pizza person and just want a slice or 4 or 5 like me this is a great place to grab some pizza! Clean inside everything looks good after working at 2 different pizza places (Pizza Hut 👎) and (Papa John's 👍) this place will achieve at very least minimum pizza standards. 4/5 stars mainly because no chairs to sit on while I wait.

Wat een fijne service, de pizza’s kwamen warm en binnen 15 minuten bij ons thuis aan. De dessertbox is ook een echte aanrader!

Had een double tasty pizza tex mex chicken en bbq chicken 30 cm Italian Style besteld. Krijg ik een tex mex beef nou die hoefde ik niet. Mijn zus had een tex mex veggie besteld, krijgt ze die zonder nacho chips en haar truffel funghi pizza had geen parmezaanse kaas en peterselie. Bel ik naar het restaurant, krijg ik een onvriendelijke meid aan de lijn die niet eens sorry kan zeggen blijkbaar. Mij werd toegezegd dat ik een nieuwe pizza kreeg, oke is goed. Half uur later kreeg ik een 25cm NY Style pizza met alleen de tex mex chicken kant. Totaal andere pizza dus. Toch maar opgegeten, maar vind dit niet echt kunnen. Ook kregen wij geen compensatie of iets van een sorry. Ik bestel vanaf nu liever niet meer bij deze locatie.

Superaardige medewerkers aan de balie. Geweldige service. Ze hebben ook glutenvrij pizza. Ben blij mee !

4 sterren omdat het over het algemeen prima is. Alleen zou het fijn zijn als de opmerkingen die je kan toevoegen bij je bestelling, ook gelézen worden. Ik kan niet tegen olijven en zet dit er ook altijd heel duidelijk bij, echter gaat dit keer op keer mis en ben ik vervolgens minuten bezig om deze van mijn pizza af te plukken. En soms mis je er dan ook nog weleens 1... Meer aandacht voor de opmerkingen en dan gaan we naar de 5 sterren.

Got the kebab pizza. It just tasted like bread with tomato sauce, not much else. They really are economical with the toppings here while simultaneously drenching the dough in tomato sauce. New Yorkers all around are shaking their heads in disappointment.
