Nothing but good things to say about the service: friendly and charming. We had ordered a chicken satay and a beef tenderloin satay. It took a very long time for them to arrive at the table; it turned out they had apparently been forgotten, overcooked. (Wednesday 22 07)

Friday, July 24. It is a shame that although we were allowed to choose a table at the waiter's suggestion, no one came to take our order. Even after requesting a waitress, no one came to our table to take our order. The four of us sat watching two ladies walking around (setting tables and cleaning a table), but none of them came. Another party that arrived later than us had a drink very quickly, while we still had nothing. At this point, the four of us walked away, even though we had intended to come for drinks and food. So, a missed opportunity!!!!!!

We ate here today with a small group. We specifically looked up places where the food selection was supposed to be extensive and where kids could play. Although we didn't complain directly, we actually went home feeling disappointed. We spent over 200 euros on fries that had nearly a kilo of salt on them; the satay wasn't tasty, it was too spicy (and we heard others complain about this later too); my son's hamburger was overcooked and had BBQ sauce and bacon on it... which isn't even on the menu. In the end, I pulled it apart so that there was still something resembling a burger left, because the bun was dry too. My mother-in-law did the same. Apparently, they were using a limited menu because of the Batavia Days, but this wasn't mentioned anywhere. The play area is nice but could definitely use a good cleaning (it smells a bit strange, even though it looks clean). No, although other reviews are somewhat better, for us it was anything but.

Had another delicious meal. And with mussel season just starting, it is absolutely delicious. The gin tonic is definitely recommended.

My husband and I have been regular customers at NEXT Restaurant for about a year. The food is excellent, the service is wonderful, and most importantly, for people like me with celiac disease, the absolute attention paid to preparing safe, gluten-free meals. It's also worth noting that, which is rare in other restaurants, you can also enjoy good gluten-free beer here. I wholeheartedly recommend this place.

Friendly, and very helpful regarding the gastric bypass surgery. She was also very helpful with the wines for our neighbors; she has knowledge of that too. The whole atmosphere... if more than 5 stars could be awarded, they would get them ❤️

You can't advertise that you're open until 10 PM and then tell a customer who arrives at 8 PM that you're closed. Update your hours...

We have been here several times over the past few months, after not having been here for years due to a few bad experiences. We have already thoroughly enjoyed the lovely terrace, the tasty food (lunch), and the fantastic waitresses on multiple occasions. We will be coming here more often!

Went shopping at Batavia Stad for a bit and really didn't feel like La Place, so we enjoyed a spicy chicken sandwich and flamkuchen on the terrace just outside the gates of Batavia. Lovely in the sun and nice and relaxed now (Friday afternoon). Great alternative with plenty of choice for a great price; we'll be stopping by here more often.

What a fantastic place! Next in Lelystad has become a real favorite of ours. The food and drinks are always delicious, but what makes it even better is that there's a great play area for the kids, supervised by THE BOSS 😉. This allows us, as parents, to truly relax and enjoy a bite to eat and a drink. We've organized and attended several parties here, and every time, it's always incredibly well-organized, cozy, and wonderfully relaxed. Nothing is too much trouble, and everything is arranged with a smile. In short: highly recommended for a cozy dinner, drinks, and a party!

Better restaurants around than this one. Food is not bad but you can easily find better places either inside batavia stad or around the area that you can get more value on what you pay for. I do not really give low ratings but I have never felt so rushed finishing my food. Maybe the owner is going through something that day to be so rude but I hope nobody else experiences getting yelled at for not going away fast enough from your parking. If you have an event after, it is okay to be civilized and communicate like a normal person. It is 2025. I hope you find your inner peace and happiness in life.

We were at the outlet and looked at the various restaurants on Google and then decided on this one. Despite the not-so-good reviews, the exterior appealed to us. Inside, it looks rather rustic and has the charm of a cafeteria. It's okay, though. The service was very good, and the lady even understood German (I asked if she spoke German or English) and was even able to answer two questions about the food. The food was good, but not outstanding. We had several snacks. Everything was fried, but that's to be expected. We were satisfied and would go there again.

Well, to start off, I went here a few days ago. The servers were nice, but the food was tasteless and nothing special to spend your money on. You can certainly get more flavor in a fast-food restaurant than here. I honestly felt like I was constantly being looked at strangely and laughed at, and at one point the servers even talked over me, which was awful...

We had a bottle of wine and nachos with extra jalapeños, but no guacamole. Normally, it's served on top, but this time it was in tiny containers. It was so meager, hard, and unappetizing. We also had to wait a long time for the mini container of guacamole. Our child had a pancake, and it was burnt and had a strange aftertaste. New cook?

GLUTEN FREE / CELIA Great place for gluten-free food. They have gluten-free pasta, sandwiches, and many dishes can be ordered gluten-free. 🙌🏼 Because the spare ribs had fried onions, I double-checked. (I'm not familiar with gluten-free fried onions.) The food was okay. The spare ribs were tasty, but lukewarm, and the lettuce was sparsely dressed and dry. My girlfriend's hamburger was good and tasty. You can also order gluten-free. They don't have gluten-free fries. When I asked for an alternative, like fried potatoes, it was difficult. I suggested a gluten-free bun (great that they have them), but it was possible. All in all, a nice place with a realistic price-quality ratio.

Super lekker gegeten! Gezellig met een groep vriendinnen gewinkeld en een hapje gegeten bij restaurant Next. Werden hartelijk ontvangen bij de deur en snel geholpen. Heel lekker gegeten, nette zaak, mooi mals vlees en hele lekkere tiramisu. Een hele leuke afsluiting van onze dag! Wij komen hier zeker terug.

Personeel is heel vriendelijk, snelle bediening, lekker eten, goede prijs en een hele mooie lokatie. Zelfs op de oldtimer dag dat het zo druk was, liep het super gesmeerd en het personeel bleef tot op het eind nog lachen en waren nog steeds steeds gemotiveerd.

The lady who served us was tall Brunette and I didn’t take her name. We had two kids allergies and straight out of UK with zero Dutch. She quickly switched to English and helped us get the best dish for our allergies and also that one which will blow our minds. They were so kind and welcoming and simply a place to go back to. The chicken with gravy sauce and onion on top and salad man man man AMAZING! We loved it and we are definitely going back here.

We had an 'uitsmijter' here with the cycling club, it was fantastic and the service was also great and not expensive.

Sunday at 1 p.m., drive through the barrier, park my car and walk to the entrance... it turned out to be closed. Unfortunately, I can no longer go through the barrier when walking back to the car? Calling the company, no one picks up. There are coats hanging inside and the music is on. Glad that someone comes to look at the window after knocking hard.

Shopped at Bataviastad Fashion Outlet this afternoon. Because my underage friend needed to go to the toilet, she walked into the restaurant and asked if she could use the toilet. One of the male employees came very close to her (about 5 cm) and said to her: “You, girl”. He walked next to her for a moment and then went back to his work. Because I found this remarkable, I walked into the restaurant a little later with the story that I also needed to go to the toilet. When I asked if I could use the toilet, I was aggressively shown the door by the same male employee. When I pointed out the previous situation to him, I was told that he could also show me the exit in another way. Very telling about this restaurant and this man. Sexual harassment of the highest order.

Friendly service, but I wouldn't dare work with the terrible selection on the menu that they serve. It really wasn't good, I've never had such a bad lunch before. Tasteless, half of the salad was iceberg lettuce, three leaves of arugula and 3 walnuts, no quality on the plate. I really shouldn't have eaten it and sent it back. A goat cheese salad too expensive for what you get. Even the piece of goat's cheese was unpalatable, normally I would enjoy a nice glass of wine with it, but the desire was gone. I don't know who or what is in the kitchen, but they don't understand anything. The waitress still told us how disappointing it was. We got coffee from home. In itself it was solved ok..... but I will never go there again.

Restaurant is no longer what it was 10 years ago. Everything was delicious then, this year I couldn't even finish my plate. The sauce was just dirty and had a very nasty smell. + I saw all kinds of mouse droppings on the wooden paneling. You used to be fantastic, but now I can't say anything other than highly recommended. Rarely see such an expensive restaurant! Over €3 for a coffee that is extremely small. A sandwich is just over €12.

We wanted to have a bite to eat here after the hippie market. This was no longer on the lunch menu, so I asked the lady who helped us if it was completely off the menu. They are currently answering. So we just had a cup of coffee. To our surprise, a bouncer was served at the table behind us. This is very strange. Maybe do something about communication? Bad service in this regard.

Very nice restaurant, close to the harbor/museum, delicious food (very nicely prepared), very friendly and fast service. For the kids there is a special menu and an indoor playground with a view of the restaurant (located behind the bar/counter). Prices absolutely okay.

Temporary Orientation - Aug 24 We came here to have something to eat in the evening. The restaurant is located next to a shopping center in the immediate vicinity of the harbor, directly on the dam that separates the Markenmeer and the Ijsslemeer. So a nice atmosphere. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere with a middle-class to upscale clientele. The service staff are generally very friendly, but also a bit awkward. The schnitzel we ordered (€19.50 for a size that doesn't even cover the palm of my hand!) arrived quite quickly, but the accompanying fries took another 15 tender minutes to arrive until the schnitzel was eaten. No small apology or anything like that from the restaurant. Overall, I wouldn't recommend it in terms of price or taste.

We came to have a good meal. Only we didn't know whether we wanted to eat first or visit the museum first. We park the car and stand in front of the restaurant to discuss. We are immediately told that we are not allowed to park unless we are eating. Once inside, the atmosphere is just like how we were addressed. Restaurant practically empty (on Saturday) and no one looks at you. We decided on our money's worth and left again. Still went to the museum, but didn't eat at this restaurant.

It's outrageous what you get for what you would expect without having too high expectations. Goat cheese salad of which only the middle of the round cheese contained some goat cheese, certainly around 1cm of fat, really dirty. According to the chef, this was normal when we said something about it. Not really! Flat plate of lettuce with dressing from a bottle with a few walnut crumbs. I really understand that the catering industry needs to make some money, but this is very easy to earn (€ 15.50) and very unfortunate. The staff is also very nice!

Food was okay but a mini burger and fries with a 0.2 cola for 22 euros is just cheeky. Unfortunately, this rip-off is now spreading throughout Holland 🤬 in most cases we paid 3.90 euros for a 0.2 cola!!!

I wanted to go on the merry-go-round next to it with my son and have a drink at Next afterwards, but we had to leave the parking lot immediately because we didn't sit on their terrace right away. I indicated that I didn't think it was nice and would write a bad review about it. Then the owner took a photo of me and said, “I'll delete bad reviews immediately.” Then we had words and he wanted to physically attack me in front of my 10-year-old child while we were already standing at the merry-go-round.

We go out to eat often, but never so bad! Schnitzel from the deep fryer with zero seasoning, the vegetables were on the menu as seasonal vegetables, ok frozen vegetables work all year round🤢👎👎 The waitresses were very friendly, but that was it!

After seeing a nice menu on the site, we chose this restaurant for dinner. When we arrived at the restaurant, the dish we wanted to try was not on the menu, which is a shame! Made a choice from the menu and had to wait quite a while for it. The bread from the breadboard had been briefly in the oven and lacked a crispy crust. My husband ordered a Liefmans which was served with ice cream. Kindly asked if we could get these without ice. Fortunately, that was possible, but we were also allowed to pay for the sweets with ice cream that were sent back. My husband's flank steak was a fantastic alternative to shoes if you want to walk the Nijmegen Four Days Marches. The sauce that was simply included on the menu could still be paid for separately. Unfortunately, the next burger I had chosen made its way back that same evening. The spices were overpowering and did not do the dish any good. The fries that were served with it were so salty that you could no longer taste the fries themselves. After a disappointing starter and main course we left. The restaurant and the menu looked good on the website, but was a disappointment in real life.

Lunch was very tasty. Located 2 steps outside Batavia city So after a day of shopping you can have a nice dinner here. There is a nice bouncy castle inside.

Nice restaurant right next to Batavia city with a menu with many gluten-free options. From pasta, all sandwiches (except 1), soups to salads. Really great! Super friendly service! On the photo the menu and the hamburger plate are gluten-free!
