Came in with a group of ten — clearly unaware that Non La is not designed for group gatherings that rival a wedding reception. 😅 Somehow, we still managed to squeeze in (pure luck, or maybe destiny fueled by pho cravings). The space is cozy — emphasis on cozy — but the service was impressively quick, and the food was spot-on delicious. Every bowl and plate that landed on the table disappeared in record time. Would’ve been perfect if the place were just a little bigger… or if our group were half the size. Either way, great food, friendly staff, and a story we’ll laugh about every time someone says “Let’s eat Vietnamese!”

They really need to make the open hours accurate on google maps. Has been two times that I came all the way here and they are taking a break and told me to wait for more than half hour. JUST CHECK YOUR GOOGLE MAPS TIME AND CHANGE THEM! 🙃

I’ve been in Vietnam for three months and just came back and haven’t found a bowl of bun bo bue that tastes like it did there. Finally i came across Nón Lá on tiktok and since i was nearby i decided to try it. It was the best bun bo hue i tried here since coming back!! Nice staff, authentic food and fast

I ordered a Pho Bo (€18) and a passion fruit mocktail (€9). When I politely asked for a glass of tap water with my meal, I was refused. For a sit-down meal at these prices, refusing tap water is insane. Tap water in the Netherlands is safe and standard in many places. This policy really spoiled the experience.

The food is delicious and the place is cozy, but wow... it's really cramped here 😅 You're practically sitting next to the neighbors; I couldn't even hear my own conversation, hahaha. But thankfully, the food makes up for it!

We're fans of Vietnamese cuisine and were pleasantly surprised to stumble upon this small restaurant. I ordered my favorite dish: a pho with beef. The amount served was what I'd hoped for: a nice big bowl, generously filled with noodles, herbs, and tender beef. Unfortunately, it wasn't medium rare, as I believe the menu says, but the amount was good, and the other ingredients were nicely balanced (traditionally, the bean sprouts, lemon wedge, spicy sauce, and cilantro were served separately). The broth lacked the pleasant oiliness you get from letting the meat steep for about 18 hours, and I needed almost all the sauce to achieve the spiciness I think a pho should have. Oh well, that happens to me often in a busy city where turnover is important, and most Dutch people quickly find a dish too spicy. Nón Lá is worth a visit and, given its perfect location and limited seating, will often be full. It is worth taking another walk and trying again.

It is recommend to book in advance as they have a limited space. The food was very good and it was freshly cooked and tasted good. Reasonable price. And nice location

There tofu banh mi was amazing. There mayonnaise is not vegan though.

Yo, today I went from Emmen to Ultrecht to visit and experience the streets and Vietnamese cuisine in the Netherlands, I stopped by Non La restaurant to experience Pho. After finishing the meal, I can say that the food is worth trying and worth the effort of spending time here. The atmosphere is very Vietnamese, like really in Vietnam and the staff at the restaurant are very enthusiastic and cute. So, if you are an international student, please stop by. Personally, I really like the vegetarian food here.

I had a fantastic meal at Non La today. I had a Vietnamese pork skewer with honey and lemongrass and a fried spring roll with green tea and fresh lemongrass. My partner had a shrimp salad. We shared the food, and both dishes were delicious. I'll definitely be back.

Top notch food. There is no question about that. The hard-working staff were kind too. We sat at the window table for the view out to the street and canaal. The customers before us just left so the table was not cleared, which is understandable. We said we were okay to wait until the staff clear it, but it took them almost 40 minutes to come clear and wipe the table. They seemed to be understaffed that day. Except for the long wait, we had a great time with the lovey view and amazing food. I have a lot of trust and respect in Vietnamese people so I'm more than happy to come back and try every dish if I have a next chance. Xin chao and cảm ơn!

Had a takeaway pork Bahn mi and it was very good. I really like the packed inside of the restaurant. Only thing is you have to wait a little too long for your food.

Located in the center of Utretch, next to the canal, There are tables inside and outside the restaurant, the space inside the restaurant is compact enough to accommodate 3 tables, 3 more tables outside. The restaurant is neat and clean. The beef noodle soup is delicious, hot, and the most similar to the taste in Vietnam among the Vietnamese restaurants I have eaten in the Netherlands. The beef noodle soup has rare beef, flank beef, and sausage, served with basil, coriander, bean sprouts, lemon, and satay. Friendly staff.

Ordered two delicious and spicy banh mi. They were ready quickly and easy to pick up. They were well filled and the bread was crunchy.

Who would have thought we'd find truly authentic Vietnamese food in Utrecht? I had the beef bánh mì, which was absolutely delicious—bursting with flavor and perfectly balanced. My wife tried the Pho Bo, and it was equally impressive, with its rich, aromatic broth and tender beef. The place is small, but the cozy atmosphere adds to its charm. Such a delightful surprise!

Ordered online. Waited more than 2 hours - nothing. Complained, so the company just said it was delivered (this is a lie). Waste of money and time. Don't order here - they're liars and they don't deliver.

I live in Utrecht and regularly eat at Vietnamese restaurants, but this is my first time at Nón Lá. I had the vegan Banh Mi (€9) for lunch and a home made peach iced tea (€4,50) which seemed to contain real peach puree. The Banh Mi was delicious and exceeded my expectations. Different flavors than what I’ve tried at other Vietnamese places in Utrecht. The higher prices compared to some other Vietnamese restaurants had stopped me from coming here sooner but I’d definitely say for the Banh Mi that the price is worth it. I’m curious about the other vegan dishes they have on the menu and hope they’re also worth their higher price (€17 for Pho and Bún). I like that the vegan options are clearly labeled on their menu. 🌱 There are not that many tables to sit, a few inside and outside.

Unfortunately I have to give 1 star. The first issue was with ordering our drinks. I have ordered tea, and a waiter did not ask me which type of tea. In the end they brought a mint tea, and provided a bowl with a selection of tea bags, where only Rooibos and raspberries infusions were available. When I said that I ordered a tea and not the mint tea, they said that the only selection is that they brought it. It was like take it or leave it. In the mint tea there was only a small branch of mint tea available which cost 4 euros. Tea is overpriced, do not order it there. Regarding food, I can say it was not tasty at all, no spice or seasoning at all. Taking into consideration prices there I would expect better quality of food and something that has some taste. Summer rolls were so-so, however, sos was without specific taste. Grilled beef did not taste well, I am unsure if it was grilled at all. It looked more like minced meat. I am unsure how this restaurant got 4.6 stars, because it does not deserve it.

The Bun Bo Hue is super delicious. People in Non La are very friendly. Having a cozy and warm and delicious Bun Bo Hue of Non La in winter is the best. I had to take a 2 hour train ride from Maastricht to Utrecht to eat Bun Boa Hue from Non La siu deliciousnn. 真的好吃🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻

definitely fall in love with Pho Vegan. Yesterday, I had Pho vegan for lunch and this will be my all time fav dish ever when I visited Utrecht. It was good from the fresh food to polite and lovely staffs. Although Non La is quite small, it warmed my heart with cozy atmosphere in a chilly weather and gave my feeling that Im back to Viet Nam. This will certainly be a place I ( and also my friends) keep coming back to

The most authentic Vietnamese food in The Netherlands during our trip. Super yummy springroll, Pho and Hue Noodle soup with typical fresh herbs/vegetables.The space may be a bit small, but beautiful artistic wall-paintings and a cozy atmosphere are amazing. The staffs are friendly and thoughtful. It would be perfect if the restaurant has a dessert menu. Highly recommend!

Very bad service. I've been to this restaurant multiple times and used to consider it my top choice for dinner after work. Unfortunately, my recent visit was marred by a deeply disappointing experience with a server whose behavior felt both rude and discriminatory. She had no courtesy and no respect for people. She had no patience and treated Europe and Asians differently. She asked politely for Europe people but was unwilling to introduce the food to Asians. Also several of us ordered Pho but the side dishes (tauge, mint, and chili) were not served. This seemed like a deliberate omission, as other tables were receiving them without issue. This is the rudest waiter I have ever met in the Netherlands. Her impoliteness does not mean that I will treat her the same way, but will never come again.

The place is small but with several tables. The menu has several options to choose from, several vegetarian options and a special section of vegan options. From our experience, you cannot make any changes to the menu. Asking a lot, I recommend that neither. Maybe it was the day, but the service was not very friendly (with us and with the rest of the tables) The food was delicious.

Food was good, drinks are expensive (3€ for a 33cl sparkling water). The bill was 30€ and we paid with cash (50€), but they didn’t have change. Unfriendly staff and poor customer service. Ps. The bathroom is outside and it was closed once we left, so we couldn’t use it.

Food is decent. Good fresh spring rolls. Service is strange: we asked to add ice to the lemongras tea - "i cannot do it". "We have no pork, order smth else". No smile, nothing. Inside, there is no bathroom and no a/c - challenging in the summer.

Friendly service, but you always have to indicate that you want to order. I've eaten a lot of phô and unfortunately this wasn't it. The summer roll also had little taste. My favorite remains Saigon on Voorstraat.
