Nori & Rice in Centrum

Pure enjoyment, the best sushi ever!

Simply the best sushi and the most exceptional service!

We ate here for the first time today and were genuinely pleasantly surprised. What beautiful and flavorful sushi and appetizers we received. This restaurant is really worth visiting. The service is also more than worthy of 5 stars. We will definitely be back!

Different from the sushi we are used to, but surprisingly tasty. Thanks for the service and delicious food!

Visited this restaurant for the first time yesterday and am truly hugely enthusiastic. We had to drive 50 minutes to get here and it was more than worth it: ALL the dishes were incredibly delicious, the flavors refined, the waitress incredibly sweet, kind, and attentive, and the ambiance truly top-notch. It is seriously the best sushi I have ever had in my life, and also very nice with that 'twist' – it isn't authentic Japanese sushi. We paid 120 euros for 7 shared dining dishes, 2 lemonades, and 1 bottle of mineral water. I will definitely be back here, maybe someday for the omakase menu or the ceramics workshop as well!

Basically the usual sushi, but everything just a little bit different. Surprising and very tasty, even the wasabi! What also stood out was the very enthusiastic young waitress. A breath of fresh air.

Amazing, truly bizarrely good! A real asset to Hilversum, wow!

Warm and cordial welcome, delicious and surprising dishes. Truly a must-visit! Warning: once you've been, you will definitely return! #addictivelydelicious

The dishes were delicious, everything comes in the right order and is beautifully presented. Friendly staff and cozy restaurant.

This was the second time we ate here, and it was super delicious once again. Definitely give the kitchen carte blanche; you will certainly be pleasantly surprised.

Delicious fresh food with amazing flavors and very high quality! The decor is also cozy, and the restaurant is located in a central spot in Hilversum. However, you have to order quite a lot to feel full, and you pay for that too. For two people, we paid €180 including drinks, which I find quite pricey. Most sushi dishes are around €20 for 8 pieces. The service was friendly and personal, but some things were overlooked. You receive one menu per table, the reason being that there wouldn't be enough menus otherwise. Tip: solve this simply by printing a few extra menus. So, definitely recommended if you want to eat fantastically well, but it does come with a price tag.

We had a super delicious meal here! The service was nice and relaxed, and the atmosphere was very laid-back. We will definitely be back!

What an incredibly lovely experience at this place on Herenstraat. The food was truly fantastic, and we enjoyed every dish that arrived at the table. The gyoza with the fresh seaweed salad, in particular, not only looked beautiful on the speckled plate but tasted exquisite as well. The combination of textures and flavors was spot on. We will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu.

Last Saturday, we ate here for the second time and enjoyed it immensely again! For us, it is a 50-minute drive, but it is absolutely worth it. This time it was a bit quieter, but that didn't detract from the quality. The dishes are all incredibly tasty: from fresh sushi rolls to delicious gyoza and crispy Japanese fries. Everything is prepared with passion, and you can taste that the ingredients are fresh. The service is friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be coming back here more often. Highly recommended!

We were received in a super friendly manner by the hostess, who also immediately told us how the restaurant came into existence. Very nice! Tasty and fresh sushi with a bottle of bubbly; we really enjoyed ourselves and had a wonderful evening! To mention one point for improvement, it is a pity that the sushi can only be ordered in portions of 8 and not 4. But that is a minor detail; we will definitely be back!

We enjoyed a lovely evening outside on the terrace. The food was super tasty. Each dish has its own unique flavor and it is so delicious that soy is unnecessary. The staff is super friendly.

The food at Nori & Rice was delicious. Definitely recommended. I will go there more often.

Had a delicious meal and friendly staff!! My son's favorite restaurant.

Definitely worth a visit if you are in Hilversum or the area. All the dishes are incredibly tasty, sometimes a little different from what you are used to, but that is exactly what makes it fun! The apple pie gyoza is definitely recommended for dessert! ✨🥟

I have been following Nori & Rice online for some time now. We have even had the pleasure of preparing some culinary masterpieces at home from their own cookbook. Last night exceeded all our expectations. We enjoyed all the dishes and the hospitality 100%. We wish we had planned this sooner. 🩷

Friendly staff, nice atmosphere, delicious, fine, original dishes, ideal for sharing. Not everything on the table at once, allowing for a little breather. A lovely experience, definitely worth repeating.

The food is good, but not out of ordinary as we thought looking at the menu upfront. Avg prices are insanely high for what you get. I understand companies need to make money, but here it completely got out of hands.

I had a delicious meal here. Nice place to eat and a cozy atmosphere. All the food is prepared in-house, and you can taste it.

We had dinner at Nori & Rice tonight; what a fun and super tasty concept! We enjoyed the delicious food and the friendly service.

A little gem for a delicious meal; we enjoyed ourselves and will definitely be back. Great attention to every dish and lovely people who create with the right passion.

We had a truly delicious meal. And the service was very attentive, friendly, and sweet. Highly recommended!

We had another delicious meal here! The dishes are presented beautifully and the atmosphere is always great! You can really feel the passion with which Nori & Rice is run! The service is very friendly, and it is lovely that Annebel really takes the time to have a chat at the table!

We had an amazing time at Nori & Rice. The food was top notch, each particle of the dish was excellent! 🤤 We tried Salmon Taco’s, Japanese fries, Amazing Umami, Oishii Nori, Bao Bellie Crispy chicken - all was next level - fresh products, pleasant texture and very well-balanced flavor combinations. But Oishii Nori roll with a spicy orange dressing won a special place in out hearts. The atmosphere was great, the staff was friendly and we felt very welcome. We wish the owners and the team all the best and hope to visit this lovely place soon. 🫶🏻

Really delicious fresh sushi and a nice, cozy atmosphere. Friendly service that visibly enjoys their work; nothing but compliments!

Great selection, inspired creations. Highly recommended!

Really delicious food and super good service! The only downside is that the sushi is ruined afterward, because you'll never want to eat it anywhere else again 😉

You can completely unwind while dining at Nori & Rice. The lighting is so atmospheric, the music plays in the background, making for wonderful conversations. They're thoughtful, and we loved the favorites of the hostess and the rest of the staff. We savored every bite and sip! See you next time ♡ You should be proud of this gem!

We come here regularly and it's always a pleasure! And as a bonus, the cinema is right across the street, a great combination, but certainly not essential.

We had an incredibly delicious meal with unique flavor combinations. Definitely not your average sushi restaurant, but incredibly fresh and made with care. The atmosphere is relaxed and the service is super sweet.

I had delivery and it was very fast, a young man with a bald head came to deliver my order, I had sushi, it was really delicious, that boy too by the way 🤭 I would honestly do him, does anyone know his name then I can order again and ask him to come and then we will do naughty things 🤭🤭

Very tasty food and good atmosphere, will definitely come back again

Had a great experience here! Great service and truly fantastic sushi!!! Better than expected.

We had a wonderful meal at Nori & Rice last weekend! I'd walked past it many times and always thought it looked so inviting. The menu is incredibly original, with sushi rolls I'd never had before, and the chicken tatsuta was fantastic! The staff was also incredibly friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!

Great place with delicious sushi! The owners are super hardworking!

Super delicious food and friendly staff! The atmosphere is great! Highly recommended!

We had a delicious meal, great service, and top-notch dishes that were beautifully seasoned. We enjoyed an organic Riesling with it. And owner/chef Thomas even had time for a pleasant chat at our table. Thanks for a lovely evening.

My favorite restaurant. The food is consistently excellent. It's always fresh and the flavor combinations are great. Sometimes you have to wait a little longer, but I don't mind at all because the food is good and freshly prepared. The atmosphere is cozy, nicely decorated, and not too big.

This restaurant is truly one of the best sushi restaurants I've ever been to. The sushi is exceptionally high quality, and you can taste the care and craftsmanship behind it. The atmosphere is warm and relaxed, and the staff is friendly and professional. We'll definitely be back.

Absolutely fantastic! Annebel and her husband work incredibly hard at this beautiful restaurant, and the food is truly delicious 🙏🏽

Three years ago, I met this super nice couple in Greece, and we had so many laughs! Once we got to the Netherlands, we couldn't stop thinking about this lovely couple and wanted to go there for dinner! It was a truly unique experience! We both love sushi, and these dishes were exactly what we were looking for. I'm not a fish eater myself, but Thomas created a menu for us with some real gems from the restaurant, and it was delicious! Despite the fish! Even though we live a bit further apart and don't really see or speak to each other anymore, I always recommend everyone in my circle to eat here! Because besides the delicious food, the owners of this restaurant are truly amazing! So, if you're in doubt, I say DO IT! It's sure to be a great evening! 🤎

The restaurant has a wonderfully cozy atmosphere with an amazing selection of sushi and other Japanese dishes. Highly recommended! Well done, Annebel and Thomas!

The food and atmosphere at Nori & Rice are complemented by excellent service. The staff enthusiastically, knowledgeable, and attentively explain the restaurant's history, and the food is prepared with love and care. If you're looking for REALLY delicious sushi in 't Gooi, this is definitely the place!

I came here for dinner with my wife and kids, and they all loved it! My kids are very picky, but the menu offers plenty of options! I recommend the nori and rice. Best, Tom

Delicious food, freshly prepared! The staff is also super friendly. Highly recommended!

Fantastically tasty food and incredibly friendly staff!

Yesterday we ate at Nori and Rice for the first time. My family had been there before and were already incredibly enthusiastic. We can completely understand that enthusiasm now, because we had a delicious meal. The sushi is prepared with great care and attention, and you can clearly taste it. The staff is very helpful and also shares the beautiful (love) story of the owners, a nice and personal touch. If you're looking for high-quality sushi, this is an absolute must!

We've eaten with Annebel, Thomas, and their friendly team several times now. Each time is even better than the last. The flavors, combinations, and choices are so unique and perfectly matched! And the attention and tranquility given to each guest makes the evening complete. Highly recommended!

Delicious food! And what lovely, enthusiastic waitresses!

We attended a sushi workshop where I didn't feel comfortable. Thomas was picky about me, and his wife was also very rude to other guests. First, he told me I could eat the extra cucumber, and then he sneered that I could have kept it. Afterward, he skipped me with the gyozas because I'd "already eaten enough." His wife also discredited others in front of the whole group by already cutting her sushi, saying that wasn't the intention, even though this hadn't been communicated. Finally, you have to pay for wasabi, even though the workshop itself costs €67. I've also heard that people talk about it behind the backs of the staff. In short, give your money to a place where the work is done with appreciation and love.

Super fun sushi workshop. Great atmosphere. Attentive owners and staff. Highly recommended. Delicious sushi. Our new sushi spot.

Delicious food! Beautifully presented. Great service and a pleasant atmosphere. Gluten-free options are also available (gluten intolerant).

Nori and Rice offers a completely new experience, introducing you to the refined, creative, and delightful side of Japanese cuisine. In a very pleasant atmosphere, you'll find a stunning selection of sake (a true surprise), wonderfully flavorful dishes that are also a feast for the eyes. The exceptionally friendly service truly deserves our praise.

Had a delicious meal with attentive and smooth service, highly recommended.

We had a fantastic meal here tonight. We received a very friendly welcome and excellent advice. We received explanations about the food before each dish, the service was fast, and the wine was good... I can only say we had a fantastic evening, highly recommended!

The service was far too slow, and the restaurant was far too noisy. I don't understand the ratings and am very disappointed. It's also far too expensive. The food was very good, hence the 3 stars. However, the long wait and the high price are a real shame.

I ate here on my sister's recommendation. It was delicious! Beautiful flavor combinations! I also bought the cookbook.

Delicious dishes with surprising flavors. A real treat. And the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming.

The best sushi in Hilversum. The menu changes regularly, so there's always something new to discover. Luckily, my favorites remain on the menu, because that's what I love to come back for.

Super tasty and creative dishes, great service. Definitely worth it.

Another delicious meal! Friendly service, we will definitely be back.

Best sushi in town! Deliciously freshly prepared with quality ingredients, surprising flavor combinations, and friendly, knowledgeable staff. Great atmosphere and a pleasantly busy atmosphere. We'd love to come back soon <3

Best sushi experience of my life!

We ate at Nori and Rice in Hilversum for the first time. It was truly fantastic! You can taste that the ingredients and dishes are super fresh and prepared with great care. The staff is also very friendly and takes excellent care of you! We will definitely be back and are looking forward to the cookbook!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had a delicious meal at Nori & Rice in Hilversum yesterday. The sushi was truly deliciously fresh, beautifully presented, and prepared with great care. What made the experience extra special was the excellent service: friendly, attentive, and with clear explanations of the preparation and the different types of sushi. This really adds a personal touch and makes the dinner even more enjoyable and educational. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates quality sushi and hospitality!

I really enjoyed the food, atmosphere, and service. It's a restaurant I'll definitely return to!

Beautiful place, delicious food and very friendly and attentive service.

What a fantastic experience at Nori and Rice! From the very first moment, you could feel the passion with which the owner talks about his business—and you can taste that passion in every dish. The sushi was truly the best I've ever had: super fresh, refined, and full of flavor. The beef tataki was just as impressive, so tender and deliciously seasoned that you simply can't help but savor it. Everything exudes a love for good food. We will definitely be back with great pleasure!

We had a delicious meal. You can really taste that everything is freshly prepared with care and love. The service and atmosphere are also excellent! The hour-long drive is more than worth it. We'll be back soon.

It was delicious, very tasty, enjoyed it immensely!

Amazing food, incredibly friendly staff and a great experience!

Delicious freshly made sushi. Very hospitable reception and service. What a beautiful asset in Hilversum. Not cheap, mind you, but worth every penny.

The sushi was delicious and the service was very nice

The sushi was delicious and the service was also very nice

The food was really delicious! Especially the sushi is really amazingly tasty and flavoursome. I don't think I've ever eaten such exceptionally tasty sushi before! The restaurant itself is relatively small but that gives it something intimate. The staff is super friendly and really enthusiastic about what they offer. Rightly so!! I would recommend everyone to eat here once

Full of flavour, beautifully presented, lovely staff. Great night out!

What a great place this is, the food is delicious, the service super attentive and friendly, the ambiance cozy. And they thought along very well with an allergy. Really recommended!!

We had a very nice meal today at Nori and Rice. The menu offers more than enough options and all dishes are freshly made and are very tasty. Service and attention from both the staff and the owner is pleasant and also genuinely interested. Thank you for the nice evening. We will definitely come back.

Together with my sister, I really enjoyed the delicious sushi! Each roll is presented on a different plate and the combinations are just a little more special than you are used to. The owner takes the time to chat with everyone and checks if everything is okay, this makes it even more personal. Definitely something to get in the car for an hour ;)

Had a great experience with truly unique flavors that you won't find in every sushi restaurant!

Super tasty! Really enjoyed the evening. Got good advice on what is tasty. Tasty sake on! Delicious dessert, with dessert the owner came to the table for a nice chat! Very personal made that! Would go back, too bad it is a 1.5 hour journey for us

The food here is too good not to come back. Definitely recommended, because every dish is an adventure, but feels familiar at the same time.

Nori & Rice has been on my wish list for a long time to go to. What a delicious meal we had!! A surprising and versatile menu with exciting dishes. Really something you won't see anywhere else. Very unique which I think is great. Big 10 stars 🤩 we had a delicious meal and sat. See you soon!

Super tasty food, deep flavors, dishes are often slightly different from standard, very nice service and nice decor. Recommended!

Good food, good service, nice music.

Delicious food, we will definitely come back. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to eat more refined sushi in Hilversum.

Really delicious sushi, also vegetarian options! The bao belly rolls, gyozas etc are also delicious. Their homemade wasabi is unique, so tasty! Very friendly owners and service who provide personal attention. Not cheap, but quality.

Ate here for the first time today and also our first sushi experience. Worth repeating

We had a very nice evening at Nori & Rice. A small menu, but what they make is really a feast for the taste buds. We had a delicious meal and drinks. We are both vegetarian and I am also pregnant. We have indicated this in advance in the comments field. The owner (who is in the kitchen) came to our table, took his time and offered “off the menu” options. You feel welcome in this restaurant. A restaurant experience that you have to experience for yourself.

Our children took us out to eat at this fantastic sushi restaurant. (very sweet, yes, we thought too😀🤗) We've eaten a lot of sushi in our lives, but this was really classy!! Enthusiastic staff and the food was beautifully and tastefully decorated at the table, the flavors are so delicious and pure, highly recommended. We enjoyed each other❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

dinner with friends at Nori is very advisable! lovely vibe and delicious food. There was however a visitor you do not want in your restaurant whilst having dinner.... a mouse, yes a mouse!!!!!! Easy exploring the territory whilst eating. am happy we just finished as he slowly entered our table surroundings.....the too relaxed attitude of the waitress telling her and not apologizing or even being surprised... her text "oh he comes when its more quiet' didn't give me the feeling that they care.....so make up your mind what you think about it

What a wonderful sushi experience. Delicious flavor combinations, nice ratio between rice and flavor elements and super friendly service.

Really delicious, freshly prepared sushi and accompanying dishes. Friendly service. Definitely worth repeating!

het niveau van het eten en drinken is hoog, heel hoog. Bijna zo hoog dat de vrij simpele ambiance met houten stoeltjes en een beetje een strandvibe het eten geen eer aan doet. Met een vriendengroep of familie perfect.

Received very clear and good explanations during the course, very nice people and everything was well organised! Not to forget that it all tasted delicious too 😍

The workshop was perfectly organized. Lots of useful tips for making Sushi at home and eating our homemade Sushi at home as "sushi" on the cake in the evening!
