Sometimes very noisy but certainly tasty

We had a delicious meal and lots of laughs, thanks in part to our fun and funny waiter Fariz, he's the best!

We tried two times this place and the meat is very nice. It is possible to choose from various type of different meat and the quality is fine. Also the atmosphere is quite good, we spent some good time. Recommend, specifically for the meat!

Great place, Caroline is the hostess of a lifetime. Wonderful personal service and delicious food. Both the carpaccio and the ribeye are my favorites!

We had a delicious meal here. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. This restaurant might not be suitable for vegetarians, as it's mostly meat-based. Points for improvement: I find it a shame that the prices have risen considerably recently. The tomato soup was cold (which was promptly resolved, but the chef should have known), and fries aren't included with the prawn skewers. They are included with the other dishes. Surely that's worth it for €29?

What a wonderful evening at Oakwood! My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed a fantastic dinner today. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was great, and everything felt perfectly taken care of. It was especially wonderful to reunite with Jacco, Capri's former owner — that made the evening even more special for us. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates good food, a pleasant atmosphere, and personal hospitality. We will definitely be back!

Fantastic! Great service on the phone and later in the restaurant (as promised over the phone, we were called to say we could get a table earlier in the evening). They were all very genuinely friendly people, a warm and personal welcome, a lovely table, good acoustics, atmospheric decor, service-oriented ("Shall I hang up my coats?" "Shall I explain how it works?") and of course, four delicious dishes served on beautiful tableware, culminating in the (for us, nostalgic) lollipop tower! That personal touch truly made it a pleasant evening, where you can enjoy a relaxed and delicious meal. TOP! Highly recommended.

A pleasant welcome from Jacco. He clearly explained the concept and the meat choices. Excellent food quality, incredibly attentive service. The only downside was the light in the men's restroom's short time setting and the fact that there's no sensor to turn it back on when riding the porcelain pony. The photo is of my go-to dessert: the Dame Blanche.

Yesterday we ate with 7 people, what a service you won't find anywhere else like that, friendliness, competence, guest friendly and top service, nothing is too much what you ask 10+ food where else is the food so top here there is really still love in the food 10+ and preparation the restaurant radiates coziness you immediately feel at home here in other words I will come back here more often even though it is 94 km drive it is worth it thank you staff & chefs for your 100% effort

Really delicious food, very friendly service, it was my husband's birthday, they also go the extra mile if you let them know it's someone's birthday, the table was beautifully set, some decorations on the table, streamers, and with dessert, an ice fountain, so my thanks to oakwoodgrill, this makes it all a little more fun for the birthday boy from me. 5 stars and a big 10 👍

We went here last year (from the Rotterdam area), and the food was delicious and the staff very friendly. We went again tonight and had another fantastic meal! The service is very friendly; you can tell they really enjoy their work. Definitely recommended! We'll be back next year ;-)

We were able to make a reservation very easily through the website. We received a warm welcome in a cozy and inviting restaurant. It was great that you could watch the chefs prepare the meat from the restaurant. The food was incredibly delicious. This restaurant is highly recommended.

I really enjoyed the rib-eye and the burger – both were perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The atmosphere was spacious and comfortable, which made the whole dining experience even better. Definitely a place I’d come back to!

Except for one person, we had a wonderful meal. The meat and fish were perfectly prepared and delicious. The service was excellent. Why only one star? It was because our grandson has a significant gluten allergy. When making the reservation, we specifically asked if gluten-free spare ribs were available. Our grandson's favorite dish, and that was confirmed. Upon arrival, there were no gluten-free spare ribs, nor were there any gluten-free fries. A real bummer. Eating out is already difficult, and then being turned away is another issue. Imagine what he went through. The staff apologized profusely but couldn't do anything. We did get a discount, but that's of no use to my grandson. If you have any dietary requirements, absolutely don't eat here. Restaurant: just say you can't have anything special. It wasn't a pleasant evening.

Nice restaurant with delicious food

We made a last-minute stop at Oakwood in Veldhoven, and it turned out to be a great choice. 🍔🍺 Wide selection of beers, and the veggie burger was made vegan right away without any problem – always a good sign that the chef knows what he's doing. Attentive service, delicious food, and a relaxed atmosphere. Definitely recommended!

The atmosphere here is super nice and cozy, very relaxed and well-organized. The staff is exceptionally friendly; I don't remember the name, but we were served by a very sweet woman. We even requested a fireworks display and a message with dessert for a special occasion—really sweet. And let's not forget the food: absolutely delicious, nothing to complain about, simply perfect. They even offer different kinds of salt on the table, and you can choose from several knives: super fun! I'd love to come back!

The food was excellent, the restaurant is beautifully decorated, the terrace is lovely, and the staff is friendly. Unfortunately, we were seated in a drafty spot. We'll find a different spot next time, but we'll definitely be back.

If you want the best meat in the region, you have to go to Oakwood. Great prices, friendly staff, amazing food, and a great atmosphere. We've been going there for years!

If you have a gluten intolerance or allergy, I strongly advise you not to eat here. My girlfriend has a gluten intolerance and duly indicated this when making her reservation. Unfortunately, she received a dish with gluten and fries with gluten. This only came to light after she requested it and had already eaten her first fries. This happens frequently in the Netherlands, but the reaction we received from the staff is the reason I won't be returning. Initially, the server asked if removing the gluten-containing portion would be a solution. Due to cross-contamination, my girlfriend indicated that this posed a risk to her. The server went back to the kitchen and came back to lecture us that "we should have mentioned this beforehand." So, not a question, not a check with anyone, but an unfounded belief. We indicated that we had already mentioned this when making the reservation. You expect an apology or some empathy that it was unfortunate that they overlooked this and that they served something that made my girlfriend sick. But no, we were again asked to eat the gluten-contaminated dish with a modification. We should have gotten up and left the restaurant. After explaining again that this was risky, a new dish was served.

What a cozy place! Friendly staff and delicious food! We had various dishes, including hamburgers, paella, mixed grill, and 250g tenderloin. My son was hesitant about the truffle mayonnaise, so we asked if we could try it. The friendly lady immediately understood and brought a small dip container. Luckily, because my son didn't like it anyway. Then they replaced the truffle mayonnaise on the truffle burger with regular mayonnaise. Truly fantastic! All the meat is excellent quality and perfectly grilled! Medium rare was also beautifully medium rare! For the mixed grill and steak, there was an extra palette of salt mixes to season your meat to your liking. The mushrooms as a side dish were beautifully grilled and stayed warm throughout the entire meal. The baked potato was soft with sour cream, fresh arugula, and onion on top—that alone is a mini dish! You can taste the passion and quality! Nothing beats Brabant, and yes, that's true! The towering lollipop tower with peppermints is a real treat to have on the table with the bill! This is the most amazing and original closing event I've ever seen! It really gets all the kids quiet! What a creative and passionate team! I'd love to come back!

Fun, delicious, atmospheric, no choice required—in short, a perfect place for a delicious meal. The staff does everything in their power to give you a top-notch experience. They'll see me back, even for a salmiak lollipop.

We went there for the second time. The meat was again really tasty and well cooked. If you take it rare, it melts in your mouth. It is nice to choose the knife and to receive a lollipop tower when receiving the check. The young waiter upstairs was really welcoming. Thanks to him. We probably be back when visiting Eindhoven again.

Everything that could go wrong went wrong: a grill broke down, so we had to wait 2 to 3 hours for our food (we weren't told about this; we had to ask). Then one of our orders was taken incorrectly, and we had to wait even longer. My meal had probably been cooking for a while, so it was dry and slightly burnt. Apparently, everything from the grill was super delicious, and the bookshelf is also recommended. The staff forgot our drinks once and then knocked over another glass, and at the end of the evening, they barely dared to come near our table. We all got a free drink and some fries, but next time I'll ask if the grill is still working, because it wasn't worth the wait. The server with ADHD was really nice, by the way. (If both grills had been working, the evening would have been fine, so hopefully this was an exception.)

Never again. In April, I ate with a group. We waited an hour to order, and then another hour and 50 minutes for our food because there were staffing issues. When we asked if we could get some bread, we were told it wasn't possible because the cold kitchen was also experiencing staffing issues (isn't a server allowed to cut a baguette?). If we hadn't been with such a large group, I would have walked out. After asking, we were given a small discount as compensation.

We recently returned to this restaurant and I was pleasantly surprised – it had been a while, but we had such a wonderful time! It was my partner's birthday, and the staff had arranged everything perfectly for the celebration. The service was personal, genuine, and meticulously prepared. The dishes were exquisite – delicious and beautifully presented. What really struck me was the attention paid to the children. Our son was given crayons to draw with, and at the end, he even received a small gift – something I've never experienced anywhere else in the region. A real wow moment! Everything was spectacular: the atmosphere, the food, the service. If I could give six stars, I would. We felt incredibly welcome and well cared for. A special thanks to our waiter, Jacco – he was truly fantastic. Highly recommended!

It's been a while, but since I still have a bad feeling about it, I've decided to post this negative review. The food was very tasty, that much is true. The service, however, is very rushed, causing accidents to happen. Empty glasses were also hastily grabbed from the table as people walked past, which isn't right. A glass of beer was spilled on our clothes, and even worse, a container of mayonnaise was knocked over, leaving a large blob on an expensive jacket. The jacket was immediately taken away to rinse off the mayonnaise with water, which, in hindsight, was completely wrong. The label stated that the jacket should only be dry-cleaned. They promised a suitable solution if the stain didn't come out. They did reimburse the dry-cleaning costs, but the stain wasn't completely removed, and then they suddenly offered to pick up the jacket because someone they knew had experience with such jackets. They didn't tell me what they planned to do with it, so I didn't trust them. This was also to prevent things from getting worse. I wouldn't call that an appropriate solution. Then they said I should have just hung the coat in the cloakroom. Why such a strange comment? Then it's not about the coat, but perhaps about an expensive sweater? And who is responsible if the coat is taken away? We also found the tables very close together, which offered little privacy and was also inconvenient for the staff, which may also be the cause of the accidents. I've noticed (and also in other reviews) that the owner can be very indifferent, lacking any emotion or customer focus, and largely only responds to positive reviews.

Delicious food! Unfortunately, there were too few staff. Because of this, things can sometimes be forgotten or served late.

Het is al een tijd geleden maar aangezien ik er een vervelend gevoel aan heb overgehouden, heb ik toch besloten deze negatieve review te plaatsen. Het eten was erg lekker. Dat mag gezegd worden. De bediening daarentegen is erg gehaast waardoor er ongelukjes gebeuren. Ook werden lege glazen in het langslopen gehaast van tafel gegrist, wat niet hoort. Er werd een glas bier omgestoten over onze kleding en wat nog erger was, er werd een bakje mayonaise omgestoten waardoor er een flinke klodder op een dure jas terecht kwam. De jas werd meteen meegenomen om de mayonaise met water af te spoelen, wat achteraf helemaal fout was. In het etiket stond nl. dat de jas alleen chemisch gereinigd mag worden. Er werd een gepaste oplossing beloofd, mocht de vlek er niet uit gaan. De stomerijkosten heeft men wel vergoed maar de vlek is er niet helemaal uit en dan komt men ineens met een aanbod om de jas op te komen halen want een kennis zou ervaring hebben met zulk soort jassen. Wat men er dan mee van plan was, dat werd niet verteld, dus ik had daar geen vertrouwen in. Dit ook om erger te voorkomen. Dit noem ik geen gepaste oplossing. Toen werd er gezegd dat ik de jas maar in de garderobe had moeten hangen. Hoezo, deze rare opmerking? Dan gaat het niet over de jas maar wellicht over een dure trui? En wie is er verantwoordelijk als de jas weggehaald wordt? Wij vonden ook dat de tafels erg dicht op elkaar staan, waardoor er weinig privacy is en ook voor de bediening niet handig, wat wellicht ook de oorzaak is van de ongelukjes. Het valt me op (ook in andere reviews) dat de eigenaresse erg onverschillig kan reageren zonder enige emotie of klantgerichtheid en ook grotendeels alleen maar op positieve reviews reageert.

Google Maps as well as Google says that the restaurant is open till 11PM but when we arrived at 9PM, we got refused because they were closed. Meanwhile there were still many people in the restaurant.

What a great restaurant this is, very friendly staff and a nice variation on the menu. We have been there for the 2nd time now and we will definitely come back again.

Great place to have a good dinner.

The meat; really absurdly delicious. The service is also great; friendly and hardworking employees. The atmosphere is also cozy. Once in March sat inside, and in June outside, both were a good experience. Yes, I'm not talking about the price. It is on the high side, but definitely worth it.

Friendly service at the table. Meat is perfect. Disappointing that the meat you ordered was not there a little later. Service was messy, small things that were forgotten. You almost finished the meat and your fries were served much later. Soup was almost cold. Staff was very busy.

Easily accessible and nearby spacious parking spaces that are free. Friendly welcome and smooth service by staff. The food is affordable, delicious and more than sufficient. I will not go to the city for this type of restaurant anymore. Recommended!

I didn't get a chance to give it a review from last year. A great place and atmosphere for the night. The food was an exceptional, I had the Surf and Turf. It was so yummy! The hostess was lovely, food service was quick and friendly. The surprise was the lollipops came out for the end of meal when we paid the bill!😂. Will be back again soon.

For the 3rd time, booked tonight. Previous visits were good and I wanted to introduce my guest (chef of a very good level) to this cuisine later. Starter was disappointing, different kitchen brigade today? A bit bland guacamole (seems from a jar) and wasabi certainly not tasty, which certainly does not make the not fresh tuna stand out better on our plate. Wash it down with prosecco, of which 1 glass was not very sparkling. But we have high hopes for the tournedos because with a knife of our own choice it will certainly taste excellent, this was promised to us in any case when presenting the different types of meat. (Hostess presents 4 types of pieces of meat in vacuum packaging). My guest nods nicely. We both ask for rare, a very red/lukewarm inside preparation. Unfortunately we both have to return the first copy to the service, unfortunately overcooked. It can happen, but the 2nd attempt is also not successful. We both ate little of this. Compensation is offered by the host but we also skip dessert and coffee. A disappointing experience unfortunately. The wedges are well done and we ordered them as a side dish.

Can't make anything else of it. We happened to come by by bike for a drink and a small snack, but we just made more snacks! You will receive a super friendly welcome from an enthusiastic team as if they are all on their first day at work. You are seen and they give you plenty of space between the dishes. Very cozy atmosphere, especially created by the cheerful staff and the ambiance of the restaurant itself :) The food is affordable and really gets a lot of quality on your plate. Delicious meat dishes and you really notice that they use top meat in the taste (partly thanks to the smoking wood they use) and the tenderness. Highly recommended!

Food was fine but the courses came in quick succession. With most meat dishes you have to order all the side dishes, which makes it not very cheap.

Well, I don't know why it has such good reviews. The restaurant is relatively expensive and you have to set the standard accordingly. So the meat was okay in terms of taste. It was supposed to be medium well, it arrived fully cooked. The meat temperature was below average. The baked potato was also lukewarm to cold. The drinks we ordered took quite a while, as did the ones we ordered again; we were wondering whether the cola had to be picked up at the factory.

We ate here as a group as a department dinner from work. As a group, we could simply order individually from the full menu. My experience of many years is that in such a situation, in a larger group, there is always a discussion about who ordered what and when it was quickly served, even now there was one plate of food left and someone had to order again. It is also a problem for us as customers that we did not know exactly what we had ordered. As a starter we ordered a bookshelf several times, see photo. An open mini bookshelf cabinet with various mini dishes. As mentioned, we ordered in a group of about 14 people and the kitchen seems to be doing well. No one heard that food was cold or something because dishes had to wait a long time in the kitchen or when serving. The food was tasty and the portion size was as expected. Nevertheless, we must all ensure that prices remain the same but portions/compositions/quality decrease. But that is a general comment. Service was fine and friendly. Restaurant is spread over two floors connected by one wide staircase. I have the idea that there may also be limited outdoor seating in the summer. The restaurant is located in a village center with the necessary free and paid parking spaces nearby. Can be busy.

Super nice staff, big portions, amazingly cooked steaks. The ambiance and interior is also very nice. They have a few unique experiences they provide which I find very sweet, such as giving you your choice of knives when ordering one of their meat cuts and a big tower of lollipops when ordering the check!

Had a delicious meal at Oakwood. Despite the crowds, there was a pleasant atmosphere and we received super friendly service. The service was great, good timing and clear communication. From chicken drumsticks to spare ribs and hamburger, everything was perfectly prepared. It was quite warm inside, but fortunately that did not detract from the nice dinner.

Normally we go to a steakhouse in Eindhoven, but today it was Oakwood's turn. Long story short, I think we will go to Oakwood from now on instead of the one in Eindhoven. The food, atmosphere and hospitality at Oakwood are, in a word, fantastic and we had a great evening there
