We had a delicious meal. We ate some oysters and a platter with all sorts of tasty little things. I especially liked the oyster with vinaigrette. The oyster beds were a nice touch. The restaurant wasn't too big, but we did have some trouble getting the attention of the wait staff.

When spending a few days in Zeeland, we always want to eat delicious oysters. The best place for this is Yerseke, specifically at Oesterproeverij Pekaar. We prefer a place where our dog is also welcome. Reservations can be made online by requesting a spot where our four-legged friend won't get in the way. Upon arrival, we are greeted politely and kindly by the staff. The menu offers plenty of choice, something for everyone. My partner has the lobster soup as a starter and I have the beef tataki. In a word, delicious! Then we move on to the oyster tasting. They are all works of art and true taste sensations, but my favorite oyster is definitely the Pornstar Martini. There is also an oyster that is not on the menu but is certainly worth trying: the Summer Special. For us, this feels like a wonderful conclusion to a few days in Zeeland.

Had a wonderful guided tour with the entrepreneurs' association and ate delicious oysters, which we were allowed to open ourselves.

Along the banks of the Yerseke River, you'll find several places to eat and drink. Pekaar is one of them and a must-try. It wasn't bad at all, quite the opposite. However: - We were disappointed by the lack of fries with the mussels (€24), but we're not in Belgium, and that's not what we came for. - We regretted sitting in the middle because the staff and passing customers were causing the floor to sag, and therefore our chairs. - We were disappointed by the size of the tataki (fish and meat) because it meant the portions weren't very large, even though it was tasty. But I repeat: it's good, the staff is friendly, and don't forget to make a reservation.

The food was truly amazing. The service was very good and commensurate, but if I were to mention the waiters, it seemed like they were a slightly inexperienced team, causing them not to focus enough on serving extras (drinks, other nice things). But all in all, it was an afternoon of pure enjoyment from A to Z.

Wow, I've never eaten such delicious à la carte. Refined compositions, fantastic flavor. The lobster was very tasty, the tataki outstanding. Like many things here, it's not cheap, but we thoroughly enjoyed it. Friendly service.

Visited this fantastic shop for the umpteenth time, and what a wonderful, always friendly, top-notch team they are, serving customers with their exceptionally fresh products! For us, the best shop on the entire Havendijk!

Delicious fresh oysters, plain or warm. I recommend everyone try everything. The oyster soup was also delicious with tasty oyster chunks. Compliments also to the oyster shuckers, as the oysters were nice and loose, allowing them to slide easily into the mouth without a nasty piece of shell. A view of the oyster ponds, and after your meal, you can see the history of the company at the back, but especially the evolution of how a larva eventually becomes the oyster that, after about 3.5 years, lands on your plate, sand-free. Highly recommended for oyster hunters!!!

Nice place for oysters! Good atmosphere here. Cozy place to have lunch. We made reservations via their own website but I think walk in also fine. Love that's creative for oysters topping. 10 types of oysters . I like pornstar and Wasabi Yuzu So delivery. Other foods also excellent. We had lobster bisque that's nice and salmon+ tuna tataki. And love their dessert! We had boluscake , yummy 😋 Good service here.

GRUMPY; 4:15 PM arrival, 5:00 PM closing. I was immediately reminded that they would be closing at 5:00 PM, which was fine. From then on, everything was done with a grumpy look. A young lady with glasses: for you, every day is the same, but for the explorer, it's a new and hopefully delicious experience. It was certainly delicious, but still enjoyable. Give your customers a good time; it was only about a few oysters.

The food was really good. Oysters, fish soup, but the service was disappointing. A bit absent-minded, not proactive, we sat with empty wine glasses for a long time, coffee was brought out early, while the platter it was part of arrived 10 minutes later.

What a wonderful experience! The Pekaar oyster tasting was truly fantastic again – incredibly fresh and presented with great care. There was a lovely variety, allowing you to discover truly different flavors. The staff was incredibly friendly. You immediately felt welcome and in good hands. Absolutely recommended for anyone who loves oysters.

We had delicious oysters. Very balanced flavors! And the Chablis paired perfectly. The tempura shrimp and shrimp croquettes were also very popular. Highly recommended!

I ate an oyster for the first time. I'd never dared to try it, even though I love everything from the sea. The waitress explained how to eat it, and... it was a delicious, sensory-packed Zeeland oyster.

We unexpectedly ended up here this afternoon. There was some hesitation about whether there would be a table available, but we were allowed to stay if we agreed to a corner sofa. We didn't regret that decision. We first tasted several oysters and concluded they were all delicious, and then enjoyed a portion of mussels. Everything was delicious, and the service was excellent. We declined dessert because it got too hot in the blazing sun. A fantastic experience that we'll definitely be repeating.

We kwamen hier aan mer de fiets. Gelukkig waren we vroeg want restaurant Pekaar valt zeer in de smaak! Heel leuk terras op het water, met overkapping die open en toe kan. We bestelden klassiek gekookte mosselen want helaas ben ik allergisch geworden aan oesters 😏. Deze waren zó lekker klaargemaakt met witte wijn. Echt overheerlijk. Lekker wijntje erbij… life is great!!

Daarnaast nog genoeg mogelijkheden tot andere heerlijke gerechten als je geen liefhebber bent van oesters. De medewerkers zijn super vriendelijk en enthousiast. Ze vertellen met plezier over het verschil tussen de soorten en hoe je ze het beste kunt eten. De combinatie van de ontspannen sfeer, het uitzicht over de oesterputten en de verfijnde smaken maakt het een beleving die je niet snel vergeet.

A real insider tip for oyster lovers! 🦪🍷 We happened upon this by chance – and what a stroke of luck! Super fresh oysters, opened right there, accompanied by a glass of really good white wine. Everything perfectly matched. The atmosphere is relaxed, the staff friendly, and best of all: We didn't have to wait more than 5 minutes! If you're in the area, be sure to stop by! Perfect for a little indulgence in between meals. I would come back anytime – highly recommended! 🌊✨

Dit restaurant serveert geen al te beste mosselen, ze waren klein en smaakloos. Sommige waren niet open te krijgen, andere waren volledig stuk. Vraag je de vissoep dan is daar niet één garnaaltje in terug te vinden. Als we dit meldden aan de ober was hij stomverbaasd. Hij vroeg langs zijn neus weg of er wel vis in de soep zat! wat een onbeleefde opmerking was dit. Toen stapte hij naar het ander personeel en met een eyeroll had hij het er met hen over. De kaart werd er bij gehaald. Ja, idd. Er stond dat er garnaaltjes bij de vissoep hoorden. Hij presenteerde ons een ‘koffie van het huis’ wat wij beleefd afsloegen. We betaalden correct, uiteraard geen tip. En kregen niet eens nog een goeiedag als we de zaak verlieten. We waren er beiden niet goed van. Niet van het eten noch de bediening. Als het lekker is zeggen wij dit altijd. Als het niet ok is mag dat toch ook gezegd worden , toch. Nee, daar gaan wij nooit meer heen.

This is the best place to go if you want to eat oysters with different toppings. We are fans of the wasabi, raspberry and pornstar martini oysters! The Zeeland wine from Kleine Schorre goes perfectly with it! The service is friendly and attentive and the place is great. We are so fans that we went two days in a row!

Top food, top service and top atmosphere.

Wij hebben hier de oesterproeverij gedaan van 10 verschillende oesters. De oesters waren origineel en creatief, denk aan een oester Martini Pornstar of oester Gin Tonic. Lekker glaasjes Chablis erbij en super vriendelijk personeel. Wij komen hier zeker nog een keer terug om nog eens te genieten van deze heerlijke mooie tent op prima locatie.

Super bediening! Gezellige sfeer! Super leuke terras, lekker oesters. We zijn hier 2 keer geweest, en komen zeker terug !

Made a reservation for 2:15 PM but the table wasn't ready yet. The lounge sofa was already occupied so we had to wait on the gangway. Oysters were delicious. Then lobster for € 100 per person. I think they forgot the order because after more than half an hour to 45 minutes we asked if it was on its way. Then it took another 10 minutes or so. Then the experience is a bit gone. The lobster is served with 8 dollops of mayonnaise and other sauce. But the platter is on the small side, so the lobster and therefore your hands are covered in greasy mayonnaise and sauce. Tip: ask for the mayonnaise to be served separately. For that money (> € 350 final receipt) I didn't think the price-quality ratio was ok.

Very special and very tasty oysters, highly recommended to eat them there. The service was good, but the atmosphere was not something I liked. Staff seem very disinterested and it feels like they want to make you look outside. Even on this afternoon where it wasn't particularly busy. Partly because of this, I stuck to the, again very tasty oysters and did not eat anything else.

The oysters were of good quality. Lots of variety, service was good too. I thought the atmosphere was a bit less, based on the staff walking around. Came across as very disinterested and felt like you were being watched from the outside. Ate the food and left immediately, it didn't feel inviting to have a drink and stay seated.

Oysters and fish soup very tasty. Only the shrimp croquettes were a disappointment. Nicely crispy and delicious ragout taste, but there are no shrimps in it! We spoke to the waitress about it and she simply confirmed that there is only occasional shrimp in it “because they are made by hand”. Well tired….!?

Wat een geweldige ervaring! De oesters waren kraakvers, prachtig gepresenteerd en werkelijk overheerlijk. Je merkt aan alles dat hier passie voor kwaliteit en smaak centraal staat. Het personeel was vriendelijk, behulpzaam en gaf goed advies over bijpassende wijnen. De sfeer in de tent is ongedwongen maar stijlvol, met een mooi uitzicht op zee. Absolute aanrader voor iedereen die houdt van pure smaken en een goed glas erbij. Wij komen zeker terug!

Vandaag hier wezen eten voor de eerste keer. De oester zijn super vers en worden mooi gepresenteerd. De gin-tonic oester was echt geweldig en wij hadden er gelijk een paar bij besteld. Als hoofdgerecht hebben we allebei de Oosterscheldekreeft besteld en dat was in één woord “geweldig”! Verser dan dit kon eigenlijk niet en de kreeft werd mooi gepresenteerd op het bord. Het was echt het geld waard. De bediening was super vriendelijk, waardoor we ons hier helemaal thuis voelden. Al met al was het een geslaagde middag en we komen binnenkort zeker weer terug..!

We thought it was a very nice experience, the oysters were delicious, also not very expensive to buy in the shop for home. I found the lobster soup a bit too spicy but my husband loved it. Nice hostess when you are waiting for a place.

Geweldige plek om te komen. Heerlijk eten en vriendelijke bediening! Ook de prijs kwaliteit verhouding is hier zeker goed. Het is echt lekker eten voor een eerlijke prijs.
