Great place to visit and ut has some extremely nice architecture to see and also the red light district which is quite strange if your home town doesn't have anything like that

Nice cafe / pub with lots of 'gezelligheid'. Good staff Rich history here, not only about red lights, but lots of other memorabele haps (and miss-haps) , e.g. the Kras-kraakpanden When I lived in the Nieuwmarktbuurt in 1980's I often crossed the Wallen through the narrow alley-ways. In the early morning it was cleaning time, carried out by a completely different shift of ladies. The atmospher was quite different from now in 2025. Hardly any tourists. Sporadicallly a local office-clerk type of man hurried in one of the few red doors, almost tripping over the mats on the sidewalk that still needed to be beaten out. In the 1990's I worked a.o. for an architectural firm that was the only one that still had an office in the Red Light District. The atmospher was changing slowly, but it was still 'Amsterdams'. Today people from all over the globe stem to be more interested in eachother, isn't it?

Great little pub near dam square. We spent 3 days in Amsterdam and frequented this place. Good beer and the lady serving was lovely. The music was great as well. Worth a visit if you are around the area.

Well, almost a year ago but I had a lot of laughs with Desi. See you in May, I'll definitely come back for a few beers. Great place! Update: 7 years later, I dropped by again. Had a great time. Had some nice chats and just enjoyed a good old-fashioned beer. Until next time!

Great bar, but the alcohol is a bit expensive.

One of the best shops in town, you can get very nice drinks cocktails you name it mixed drinks English drinks. It's very nice to smoke. This way is very nice. Nice crazy music from the '80s loving it. Very classy love it. The designs. It's been around Wow. Wow. Wow is the place to be definitely OLd Town is delicious best drinks in town.

My FAVORITE bar in Amsterdam. Sydni is a gem and helped me ping my phone when I dropped it the night before. She is a fantastic person and super fun and friendly. We walked by and heard them playing hip hop and stopped in and had the best time 2 days in a row. Just go there and give Syd a huge tip!

Small pub where you can stop for a beer. Nice people and great service.

Its busy because it is one of the only places that serves a “modern” cappuccino instead of just foam and cacao like the rest of San Seb. That explains the popularity under the gentrified tourists. Service is very slow and a bit arrogant because they are so popular. Thats a shame and not necessary, a place like this deserves way better. Food is not special, there are 500 places like this in Amsterdam which do the same but better. Just stick to the original san sebastian places and drink your modern cappuccino back home.

I loved this place. I enjoyed a beer in this pub late in the evening while the mood was party. The barmaid who, alone, is able to keep the counter and the room with an eye on the outside is impressive. Among other things, very feared by customers outside 😅. I would like to return. Highly recommended!

We came back a second time for Amy! So much personality and endless entertainment. A must visit if you're planning a trip here.

The bar was really cool and the multi-accented barmaid was also lovely. Nipped into the bar to take refuge from the sun and also take it easy from the night before. Would definitely go back to get my drink on next time I'm in the Red Light District.

Old Town is actually my favorite bar I have ever been to, and I dont say this lightly. I'm glad the bar is thousands of miles from me because I would be here everyday if I could. The atmosphere is welcoming, it has a prime location, excellent happy hour, and the jäger is COLD. It is everything you would ever want in a bar. To put the cherry on top, Amy is the best bartender you will ever meet, she is filled with high octane energy that will change your life. Come here and discover yourself, you deserve it.

The energy that Amy exudes in this bar brings you in and makes it super friendly. The amount of detail she puts in the service to ame sure the patrons are being served in a timely fashion without harassment is next level. If you're in Amsterdam visit this small little place and have a blast!

This bar was amazing! First time in Amsterdam and we came here literally 3 times even though we were only stopping through 2 days haha. Amy was our bartender 2 out of the 3 times here and wow her energy is unmatched. They play good music and also take song requests. Also everyone we met in the bar (both locals and visitors) were all very friendly. Definitely recommend!! 😍

Quiet pub, and nice athmosphere. Bar lady was friendly and chatty.

Spent a great night here! Watched the barmaids deal with some idiots trying to intimidate them, it was very entertaining, pure class! Will be recommending this place to more people from now on, it's got the best ladies in town!
