I believe this is the first time I’ve written a review. We really wanted to eat here, the terrace was full, and they had no more space. Naturally, I have the utmost respect for that. But the way this was stated was very aggressive. I understand that on a busy day you might run out of energy, but the waiter (man with a ponytail) was truly unusually annoying. The star obviously doesn't refer to the food; I hear from friends that the food is actually phenomenal. I can imagine that even when seated, the experience can be extremely unpleasant.

The best pizza I've ever had abroad. There are no half measures to describe Olidò's pizza. Olidò is located in the Watergraafsmeer neighborhood, a quiet and green residential area, considered one of the most pleasant and familiar parts of Amsterdam East. This setting alone sets the stage for the experience: far from the chaos of the city center, slower, more everyday, almost domestic. It was here that Enrico, originally from Abruzzo, chose to open his pizzeria in the spring of 2019. The mission is precise and stated in no uncertain terms: to offer the local population the most authentic and genuine flavors of Italy. It's not a slogan. All the products—from mozzarella to wine, olives, oil, and everything else—are proudly imported from Italy. A significant detail. Olidò is not your typical tourist-trap pizzeria. It's a pizzeria where you can breathe in the smells and aromas of a classic Italian pizzeria, one of those provincial ones, where you meet up with friends on Saturday nights. With a family atmosphere that doesn't feel like it was created on purpose. The staff is all Italian, from the waiters to the pizza chefs. The "pro" level of the experience comes in the summer, at the outdoor tables. Eating there, at sunset, completely changes the perception of the place: the sunlight filters through the trees, reflects on the windows of the traditional neighborhood houses, and everything around blends in an almost cinematic balance. The chatter of other customers blends with the sounds of children playing outside, creating a delightful effect. The feeling you get is of being in a corner of Amsterdam that, for an evening, seems suspended between Northern Europe and Southern Italy.

The pizzas were amazing, we got the romana and Diablo, both were fantastic! And the tiramisu was so good, not an intense coffee flavor which was perfect ✨

Wife and I ventured out to check out this very authentic pizzeria! Service was kind, friendly and attentive. They even let us sample wine before purchasing a bottle. We event went with a natural wine which hasn’t always been our favorite, but this one was a great recommendation. We shared our pizza, they’re served Neapolitan style, so fork and knife is needed for slicing purposes. We shared the Solo Salumi, and Bomba Tartufata. It was a pleasant walk through the neighborhood to reach the restaurant, and enjoyed our time eating here.

What a lovely place this is. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very pleasant, and the wall with the many wine bottles gives it an authentic and warm character. The pizzas were excellently prepared and tasted very fresh. The combination with the artichokes and the creamy cheese was particularly well-received by us at the table. The drinks were also excellent, especially with the colorful straws. We had a fantastic evening here and will definitely be back.

A great choice to celebrate my birthday! Enrico was super welcoming and attentive, and suggested a natural wine that we all loved :)) We'll definitely be back to our neighborhood pizzeria.

Antisocial chef who refuses to prepare takeout pizza. The wait staff made an effort to ask him, but he was very grumpy. Response: This isn't about the waiting time, but about your entire attitude beforehand. Apparently, you don't understand that you work in an open kitchen and your guests can see and hear you. Anyway, it seems normal to behave like this, judging by the other bad reviews I've read. It's all about the atmosphere and your attitude. And your reaction to my review says enough about your lack of self-reflection. I hope for your sake that you can get a bit more enjoyment out of your work; maybe it will make you a nicer person.

What a lovely Italian restaurant. The atmosphere, the service, and above all, the food. The cheese and charcuterie board as a starter was fantastic. After that, a mouth-watering pizza. The owner recommended a glass of wine that we really enjoyed. All in all; a top-notch experience.

Although the food is actually good, the staff and atmosphere feel more like a highway rest area. We reserved in advance for 6:30 pm and the first thing we heard at entry was that we would have to vacate at 8pm the table...not exactly what you are expecting. Then we saw the staff again only whe dropping the order abd paying. No vibe, no experience whatsoever. There is little space so all together.. i woukd say good food, bad atmosphere

A fine Italian pizzeria, though. The pizzas are quite soft in the middle. Only towards the edge does the pizza become a bit firmer, and the crust is nice and crispy. The tiramisu was very tasty! Just friendly service, as you would expect.

The pizza dough was fantastic, and the long 30-minute wait outside was understandable given the crowded restaurant. Overall, it was a good experience.

Best pizza I have tasted in Amsterdam. However service was not really great. Upon asking the server what is difference between pizza with fior di latte and that with buffalo mozzarella, he was surprised to our question, and his answer and tone of voice were rather arrogant. Besides that, the service was normal. Don’t expect the warmth and attentiveness you would get in Italy.

Easily one of the best pizza's in my life! Eye opening pizza, that changes the way that you look at pizza. These people have the best ingredients by working with small farmers and that is something you can taste. Would recommend it and when I'm close, I'll be back.

The owner should do something about his attitude. Pizza’s are good however the owner is not sympathetic which makes me not want to visit anymore. Go to Pazzi around the corner, the pizza’s are good and at least the staff is being nice and polite there..

Delicious wood-fired pizza in Amsterdam East – absolutely fantastic taste. The service is attentive and exceptionally friendly without being intrusive. The ambiance is particularly pleasant: the tables aren't as close together as is often the case in Amsterdam. A thoroughly relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere – we'll definitely be back.

Very average pizza in Amsterdam. The dough is good, but the pizzas have too many (and not very high-quality) ingredients. Overpriced.

A quite short menu, yet full of tempting options made with unique, top‑quality ingredients, with a strong influence from the Abruzzo region. The pizzas and tiramisù were exquisite, the cocktails excellent, and the service friendly and incredibly fast despite the (small) dining room being full. When we asked for info about some ingredients, they even brought them out on a small plate for us to taste, which is the best explanation you could ask for. Highly recommended, we’ll definitely be back!

Honestly, this is my go-to spot for pizza in Amsterdam. I always eat here with love. The team is super friendly and you can see they work incredibly hard. The wine recommendations are always spot-on and make the experience complete. The pizzas are exactly how you want them: airy dough, good ingredients, and full of flavor. Sometimes I just can't resist and order two pizzas! 🤫 When my mother visits from Argentina, this is always the first place I take her. That says it all, really 😄

When we walked into the restaurant, no one greeted us. We then had to stand at the bar for a while before we were finally shown to our table. One of the first things we were told, after a simple “hello,” was that our reservation was until 8 p.m. We already knew that, since it was listed on the reservation, so why on earth is that one of the the first things you say to your guests? I was very surprised. Totally unfriendly. If the service had been quick, I might have understood. But that wasn’t the case either. This caused that there was barely enough time for one drink and a pizza. There certainly wasn’t time for an appetizer or dessert. This way, for a leisurely meal, 1.5 hours isn’t enough. You’re rushing through your meal because you’re then told twice during the meal that it ends at 8 p.m... If you want to do this concept because you want to host more guests in an evening, I'd say don't do 1,5 hour timeslots. Make it at least 2 hours. The pizza was good, but I really do wonder why you’d set your restaurant up like this, it appears as not wanting your customers to enjoy their experience. I probably just don’t get it because I’m not from the Randstad - service there is always not good anyway. However, if you ever want a quick bite somewhere, this is a decent place to sit.

I think this is the best pizza in town, so we keep coming back. Unfortunately, the owner usually comes across as rushed and not very hospitable. If the (otherwise very good) wine is served at 23 degrees and you ask for an ice cube to cool it down to 18 degrees, an argument ensues and you get the feeling you are doing something ridiculous. The same goes for when you ask for extra tomato, which then really isn't on the pizza. The answer is that it is hidden under the cheese. Updated review: I received a call regarding this review with an apology and an offer of a free pizza. That is actually great ;)

Probably the best pizza, doppio and tiramisu you can get. Great service too. The place can get really loud. If, like me, you are sensitive to loud sounds, get a table at 5PM.

The place is abnormally noisy when full, you need to be screaming to each other. The service was also chaotic when the tables were full, rushed and with different people coming to the table, never entirely sure what we were waiting for,and definitely made worse by the noise. We felt uncomfortable to ask about different wines because how rushed and noisy it felt. The pizzas are indeed amazing, perfect dough, great ingredients, but saltier than any other pizza I've eaten in the city. Great wine!

You feel welcome as soon as you walk in: a cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, and thanks to the open kitchen, a glimpse behind the scenes that immediately whets the appetite. The pizza? Absolutely fantastic – crispy, flavorful, and definitely a reason to return. The only thing missing was a slightly sharper knife; then the experience would have been perfect.

We recently had a wonderful time at Olidò, having pre-booked a lunch for a special occasion. We had two long tables filled with delicious platters, pizzas, and dessert. Nothing but praise for Enrico and his team. Grazie mille!

Food was excellent. The focaccia was outstanding, and the pizza was just as impressive. The only downside was the service when I arrived — no one guided me to a table, so I ended up waiting and asking for one myself. Tip: if you prefer a quieter atmosphere without children around, consider going a bit later in the evening, around 19:30.

The pizza was good, but when my friends and I wanted to chat a bit more at the table, we were sent away because they wanted new customers. It was a McDonald's. Unfriendly, I'll never go there again.

While in Amsterdam, we celebrated my wife's birthday in the Oost district, and this is a place we think locals love, with delicious Neapolitan pizza. You should especially try the cheesecake; the tiramisu is amazing. The owner is also very attentive and chatty, just like us :) I recommend making a reservation.

A very cute and well-decorated pizzeria in a different part of Amsterdam, but just as beautiful. The pizza dough is delicious, and the selection of traditional Abruzzo ingredients makes it even more delicious. The place is clean, and the staff is polite and helpful. Francesco is a real insider tip. Recommended for anyone who wants to eat good Italian pizza, made by Italians, away from the touristy hubbub of the city center.

I love everything about this place. Their pizzas (especially the chef's weekly special pizzas) are outstanding and original in terms of ingredients. If you like to drink wine, their homemade wines are also excellent. We have also tried tiramisu and panna cotta and they are also at great quality. I love this place. Excellent pizzas, great natural wine selection, and a lot of fun. Living locally, it’s also just as good as a quick takeaway. Takeaway customers should be aware that if you arrive at a peak time you might have to wait, but just relax and enjoy the atmosphere, have a drink while you wait.

Once made a trial there as a Neapolitan pizzaiolo , obviously didn’t work out well :) but recently had the chance to eat their pizza again and just remembered how great it is. They’re passionate, skilled, and nice people. Their pizzas get that real wooden fire kiss on the Neapolitan farina, which you don’t see so often. Worth a try for anyone reading this. Came in for take away pizza with my 3yr old. "No more takeaway pizza because we don't have enough dough for all of the reservations and take away". Thanks, now ai have a hangry 3yr old. Was my last visit, prices have also gotten insane and service was never good.

Very tasty pizza! Great (organic) wine selection! The selection looks classic at first, but is rather unusual in its execution. The quality of the products is very good! You don't have to buy it by the bottle. The waitress was able to recommend three very good wines by the glass (2 whites, 1 red).
