Cheerful staff and good food. I would definitely recommend it.

We had a wonderful meal. The duck breast was truly delicious! It's a shame it was a special and isn't always on the menu. But there's plenty else on the menu to choose from.

My boyfriend and I have been here dueing special occasions. It is a cozy restaurant, the service is good and the food is lovely. They also offer cocktails and dessert. If you are looking for a place where to have a good time. This is what you are looking for.

Cozy terrace...mostly in the shade of large parasols(?) Enough serving staff, great!

Excellent timing, preparation and atmosphere

If you're looking for simple, village-style yet delicious food, you've come to the right place. The team is incredibly friendly and always quick to help, and there's always a pleasant atmosphere. Personally, I don't find the menu particularly special, but it's always well-prepared and fresh. It's simply perfect as a basic base with a cozy atmosphere.

Lovely terrace on the square in Sassenheim. We had delicious burgers here and a great tiramisu for dessert. Definitely a place to return to in the summer.

Wij kwamen een hapje eten. Het was erg rustig, ruimte zat, mochten tafeltje uitzoeken. Na 12 minuten was het personeel 8x langs ons tafeltje gelopen, werd buiten een tafel opgeruimd maar wij volkomen genegeerd. Nog geen drankje, menukaart of wat dan ook. Toen maar opgestapt en dat ook gemeld. Meisje dat ons als eerste had gesproken toen we wat wilden eten kon alleen wat mompelen van; oh oh sorry. Bij het restaurant waar we even later kwamen werd direct gevraagd wat we wilden drinken, minuut later menukaart enz. Daar was het wel erg druk maar begrijpen ze hoe je het aanpakt.

We only had a beer today, but the food was delicious. Also home delivery. Really great. And the service is wow 😃 great.

Actually too small, but that also makes it very cozy. Always quite busy on Saturdays, so we had to wait for a free table, but the reward was there: a delicious lunch. Well filled, neatly arranged on the plate and simply good price/quality.

Cozy bistro restaurant with excellent food. My vegetarian beet burger was a bit soggy, so it didn't taste like a burger. Furthermore, fresh products taste great with all our dishes. There was an informal atmosphere. The service was friendly and they made personal contact. The name Op Eigen Wijze creates the expectation of a unique touch in the atmosphere, design or on your plate. Unfortunately I missed that surprise.

Delicious food, just a pity that they pour the sauce over your meat. Personally, I prefer it next door. Service did their best, but I personally don't think dogs are allowed in the restaurant. Certainly not with an allergy, or that people may be afraid of it.

The fries were delicious: nice and crispy and well salted. The burger was great: well cooked, with crispy bacon and a delicious truffle mayonnaise that brought everything together beautifully. Unfortunately the pulled chicken was a bit inferior; it lacked flavor and didn't really feel special. The atmosphere was cozy and the service was friendly, very pleasant. A nice experience, with a small point of improvement!

Went to Op Eigen Wijze for a midweek dinner. The menu had plenty of variety, and we tried the spareribs—which were tender, flavorful, and fell right off the bone (highly recommend!)—and a solid burger. The service was top-notch as well. Great spot for a relaxed meal!

First time here. Food was good. Except the sides were not served to each person for every dish. Instead, you get a small side, that you share. So each one of us, as per what was written in the menu, was supposed to get a side salad and fries with our entree, we were four adults, and they brought us out a small portion of fries and a small portion of salad to share amongst four adults and said if we wanted more we would have to pay for it. So two of us didn't eat the fries and salad, we had zero sides, because it was definitely not enough for four people. So the menu is deceptive. You DO NOT get your own side of fries and salad with your meal. We thought it was too much money for the amount of food and will never go back. We do not recommend this place.

Good atmosphere, nice and pleasant staff, but could only order dinner from 5:00 PM

Had lunch today with my daughter. We had a pulled chicken sandwich and a ham sandwich. I asked whether the bush sauce on the ham was not very sweet, because I don't like that. The waitress would ask about that. The ham was then simply served with super sweet jungle sauce. Not to be done. One bite and I was done. My daughter's pulled chicken also had half a jar of syrup spilled over it. So sweet it will give you a stomach ache. Have the signs removed. We just had to pay. We were able to get a drink. No thank you, we were hungry and wanted something to eat. Last time here for us. By the way, we had an excellent dinner at Nog eigenwijzer twice this week.

It's really not normal to have such a delicious meal! It was quite a large portion so I couldn't eat it all. Definitely worth repeating!!

Service was perfect Large portions and tasty food. However, one downside is that they use too many herbs on the fries, mushrooms and carpaccio. Because that makes the real taste insignificant For the rest, our new restaurant is fine.

What a relief, friendly staff! That is certainly no longer self-evident these days. At least as important as the food...but speaking of which...we had a delicious meal. And the sauvignon is also recommended, a good wine and not served sparingly. In short, it was a pleasure to come here and check all the green boxes 😉

Good and cozy restaurant with a nice menu and, above all, a very nice terrace. Unfortunately (in my opinion) it is quite noisy inside.

We had dinner here last week. The service was friendly and fast. The food was also very good. We first had a basket of bread, the herb butter was really tasty. Then we ordered carpaccio and vitello tonnato. As a main course the salmon and the bavette. Highly recommended!

The food was very good. It took a very long time before the orders were taken. Also being able to order a drink in an hour and a half. Wouldn't go there again anytime soon.

Bij toeval hier terecht gekomen. Wat een leuk restaurant. Topvriendelijk personeel. Eten was heerlijk. Zeer goede kwaliteit. En de prijs ook zeer vriendelijk.

Delicious dinner, good location with ample parking.

After a long walk in the AWD with, among others, Homeyers Great Gray Shrike and a synchita undata, we had dinner here. The Surf&Turf was a very welcome choice of flavourful prawns and juicy tenderloin. The three-pronged sludge tongue swam through the esophagus with the same ease. To finish, a delicious creme bruleé and tiramisu. In their own way: bon en bueno. Chic, quiet, cozy and attractive

Good food but service was very slow. That was a shame. Ladies chat a lot behind the bar and pay no attention to the customers.

Ze hadden voor ons de ronde tafel gereserveerd, super gezellig met 6 personen. Gezellige atmosfeer, vriendelijke, goede en attente bediening, lekkere drankjes en vooral lekker eten. Ook de dessert zagen er zeer verzorgd uit en waren erg lekker. Wij zijn niet zo georiënteerd op Sassenheim en omgeving maar dit restaurant gaan we zeker onthouden.

Leuke locatie om te lunchen en ook om gezellig te borrelen.

Het einde van de dag opgevuld in Sassenheim en een locatie gezocht om te eten. Uitgekomen bij deze eetgelegenheid, zag er gezellig uit, vriendelijk en attent personeel. Het eten was er heerlijk en voldoende. Wij vinden het een aanrader

Fantastisch restaurant in hartje Sassenheim. Het eten was erg goed. Ik had een ossenhaasspies met Stroganoffsaus. Bijzonder mals en smaakvol. De bijgeleverde patat was erg lekker. Het bestelde werd ook bijzonder snel gebracht. En natuurlijk kan ik niet om de bediening heen. Erg leuke en vlotte serveersters. Prima keus om dit restaurant te bezoeken.

Lekkerste broodje tonijn wat ik in lange tijd heb gegeten. Goeie portie ook, genoeg om over de twee vloer-boterhammen te verdelen. Een dikke 10.

Great food to very good prices. The spicy ribs were too bath in ☺️. We were there as tourists between local people and we hardly recommend that restaurant. When we will be back in Netherlands and around that restaurant, we will definitely go there again

Leuk restaurant met een gezellig terras. Update: ook in de winter kun je hier heerlijk eten voor een redelijke prijs. De bediening is zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam Update : Heerlijk genoten van een diner. De moeite waard om lekker te gaan eten

Hier gegeten samen met mijn vrouw. Tijdens het reserveren vriendelijk te woord gestaan en ook tijdens het eten was het personeel erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam! Eten was erg lekker en had een prijs passend bij de gerechten. Sfeer was goed. Parkeren kan wat lastig zijn. Bij de AH kan je gebruik maken van de parkeergarage maar hou dan wel de sluitingstijd in de gaten

Leuk klein eettentje met gezellige sfeer en vriendelijk personeel, de drankenkaart is voorzien van een ruim bier-assortiment en de maaltijden zijn erg smaakvol.

Heerlijk gegeten, gezellige sfeer en goeie bediening. Dat we (kennelijk) een uur te vroeg waren, maakte gelukkig niet veel uit voor ze. Enige punt van aandacht, is dat de prijzen van de menukaarten op de site niet meer actueel zijn.

Warme choc met slagroom en een appeltaartje gedaan. Fijne zitbank, schone zaak. De appeltaart was te koud en niet 'home made'. Koffie en choc goed. De sfeer was prima, vriendelijke bediening. Prettige zaak voor een passant.

Heel sfeervol en zeer vriendelijke bediening. Waren hier nu voor een koffie en drankje maar gaan binnen hapje eten.

Matig en weinig geïnspireerd eten, vlees was lekker, maar verder was het zeer zeer matig en saai en ouderwets. Voorgerecht, de salade en de friet waren eigenlijk gewoon slecht... Bediening was ook niet zo best helaas....en het harde mechanische schoonmaakgeluid vanaf ongeveer 20:30 was de kers op de taart...

Heerlijk gegeten Bediening was goed. Maar eten uit serveren in een té korte broek kan écht niet. Wat wil je uitstralen als eetgelegenheid.....
