We were warmly welcomed by a friendly hostess in a cozy, atmospheric, and inviting restaurant. And we had a truly delicious meal—it was, in a word, TOP! Definitely worth repeating, thank you for the excellent service, and we'll definitely be back at 't Soldaatje, a true gem in the bulb-growing region.

Tonight, four of us enjoyed a delicious meal at Proeflokaal 't Soldaatje, with its cozy, refreshing, and inviting interior. They have a wonderful, extensive menu with something for everyone. The hostess was also incredibly friendly and professional. Thank you for the excellent service from all the staff. We will definitely be back soon to enjoy the delicious dishes again. See you soon!

Tasting room 't Soldaatje is a bit out of the way, but it's a fantastic place to grab a bite for a good price! The wait between courses was quite long, but for a Saturday night, I can't blame them. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the food was good! I highly recommend the goat cheese salad. (Only a negative for the AI-generated poster on the wall 😔)

Proeflokaal het Soldaatje. Wij komen regelmatig in dit sfeervolle restaurantje. Inmiddels al weer voor de derde keer dit jaar sinds het in andere handen is over gegaan. We begonnen met warm knapperig brood met smeersels. Daarna kozen we als voorgerecht de pasteitjes met kip/ champignon ragout. Smaakte uitstekend en de portie was royaal. Als hoofdgerecht koos ik voor Leng,een kabeljauwachtig soort vis. Een flinke moot met wat overdadige saus. Maar smaakte prima. Mijn partner had gekozen voor zeebaars. Ook een royale moot en uitstekend van smaak. Daarbij salade en uitstekende frietjes. Mijn partner had gevraagd om de groentes niet te "al dente" te bereiden. Dat was prima. Er was alleen een groente bij die nog niet echt gaar was. Gevraagd wat dit voor groente was. Bleek de "vergeten" groente Pastinaak te zijn. Je moet er van houden. Ik vond het wel lekker;mijn partner was minder enthousiast. Toch wel goed om dit ook eens op de kaart te zetten. We sloten af met chocolade moelleux en affocato. Dat laatste stond niet op de kaart maar dat was geen probleem. Bij de gerechten bubbeltjeswater en uitstekende chardonnay en sauvignon blanco. Conclusie: je kunt hier uitstekend eten zonder fratsen voor een schappelijke prijs. Een aanrader dus!

What a nice surprise! I have been coming to Het Soldaatje in Voorhout for a while now and it is great to see how the new owner has breathed new life into the place. The atmosphere is still familiar and cozy, but the quality of the food has really improved. The addition of a lunch menu is a bull's eye, finally enjoying something tasty during the day. Everything is freshly prepared, and you can taste it. Compliments to the kitchen brigade... The staff is also super friendly and involved. You feel welcome from the moment you enter. In short: Het Soldaatje has only gotten better. Definitely worth visiting (again)!

Yesterday we ate at 't Soldaatje again and it was better than before! Beautifully decorated plates, friendly staff, cozy, the kids had a great time and the food (most importantly) was great! Super tender carpaccio and hamburger and the crème brulee hmm. For that price and that quality you can eat out again! I say.. recommended! I'll be back soon😉👍

The portions are minimal, they even make you pay extra for extremely small dishes. The service is extremely bad, the servers spoke monotonously and the cook is an unfriendly jerk and the atmosphere is unpleasant

We come here a few times a year, and have done so for years. Because it's just fine and nothing to complain about. I recently had dinner here with a group of 11 people and everyone was enthusiastic. Nice price! I do agree that something could be done about the plumbing.

Tasting room Het Soldaatje We ate here twice in a short time. The first time with our granddaughter and then together. First time: Mushrooms au gratin and onion soup Delicious oven dish and well-filled onion soup. Good taste. Attorney from the grill and pescado curry The attorney was excellently grilled and buttery soft. The pieces of fish in the sauce were delicious. Amaretto brûlée and affocato The creme brûlée had a crispy sugar layer as it should and a glass of amaretto, affocato was tasty. Second time Carpaccio and fish trio. Carpaccio was classically prepared with pine nuts and pieces of cheese and lots of greenery. The shrimp croquettes were tasty but there were shrimps missing. Ribeye and pescado curry. Excellent piece of meat, well grilled. The pescado was just as delicious as last time. A bit spicier. Pastel de Nata and Advocaatje are you still alive. Delicious cake with ice cream and excellent eggnog with ice cream for dessert. In both cases we started with a crispy bread from the oven with two sauces. Fries with the dishes. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Fine. Conclusion: An excellent restaurant with a cozy atmosphere. Friendly, predominantly young service. Recommended!

Nice place with history, it was pleasantly busy. Tables are spacious and chairs are good. The service was disappointing, they gave the impression that they were not doing it with pleasure and there was no laughing matter. The building seems monumental to me, but this trend has been continued in the toilet. This houriuar dates from the time of the construction of the former cafe. Anything but hygienic, this is really no longer possible and I would replace it ASAP. Another tip, the carpaccio is served on a ribbed plate, which makes cutting the carpaccio difficult. Nothing to complain about the food, it was delicious.

A hidden gem for us in the Bollenstreek. Delicious food and fantastic service. And all this at a very good price. Highly recommended.

You have to make a reservation, at least that is the wisest thing to do. A bit difficult with a wheelchair, but it is possible. The management makes every effort. We could quietly enjoy the delicious food. As a vegan you have little choice here.

Amazing little quaint restaurant! The best food for VERY reasonable price. We got the 3 course meal and lover everything. My wife especially loved the Creme Brulee.

We had a very tasty meal here for a good price. The service was friendly, and despite the crowds, our food arrived fairly quickly. The prawns are an absolute must (I had them as a starter). But actually everything was just super tasty :) We will definitely come back here again! 21-02-24

First time eating in 8 years since I moved to Voorhout. Very nice restaurant. I actually like the young service! Earn some savings💪. We laughed a lot with them and they were very polite! Food was also fine. And the atmosphere is also nice and homely. Big compliments to the kitchen and service. We will definitely come back!

Very tasty meal at Christmas, nice atmosphere and experience

Pasta pesto is very creamy and too much pesto. This means you only taste pesto. But tastes differ. Other courses are very tasty, especially considering the price. Nice tent but very young service.

With the Specials you are not asked how you want them. They are overcooked

Heerlijk 3 gangen keuzemenu voor een fijn prijsje. De bediening was jong maar erg vriendelijk. Service ging redelijk vlot, alleen tussen het voor- en hoofdgerecht duurde het wel iets te lang. Er was genoeg interessante keus op de menukaart en het eten smaakte ook goed. De porties van het voorgerecht hadden eventueel wat kleiner gekund. Daarnaast had de aankleding/sfeer wat mij betreft stijlvoller mogen zijn, er miste wat samenhang in thema's. We komen hier zeker een keertje terug!

Het eten is iedere keer weer goed. Vriendelijk personeel, en zalige cocktails.

Je kunt hier heerlijk eten voor weinig geld. Drankjes zijn wel prijzig. Je kunt hier gezellig zitten

Er zit wel een beetje teveel tijd tussen de gerechten...... We moesten bijna anderhalf uur wachten op hoofdgerecht

heerlijk gegeten en gedronken! Vriendelijk, gastvrij en behulpzaam personeel. Sfeer is gemoedelijk en rustig. Je kan lekker binnen of buiten zitten.

Dagmenu besteld wat in eerste instantie wel aantrekkelijk leek. Dit bestond uit een voor, hoofd en nagerecht. Als voorgerecht hadden we nachos. Prima te eten en goede hoeveelheid voor een voorgerecht. Als hoofdgerecht had ik 'Iers stoofpotje met aardappelen en groente'. Ik ben nog nooit zo teleurgesteld in een restaurant. Ik kreeg een klein schaaltje jus en het was letterlijk zoeken naar een paar stukjes vlees. De aardappelen waren 3 kleine schijfjes en de groente bestond uit 2 mini worteltjes en een stukje mais. De smaak van het eten was verder prima. Bediening kon beter. Vandaar 3 sterren. Maar voor mij niet meer.

Wij hadden het 3 gangen dagmenu gekozen waarbij we begonnen met een fijne en mooie schaal nacho's. Als hoofdgerecht had ik een schnitzel, prima gerecht maar wel aan de dunne kant. Wat ik tegen vond vallen was het dessert, de crème brulee. Het bekende suikerlaagje wat toch echt wel hoort op dit toetje was nauwelijks aanwezig, erg jammer. Qua algemene smaakbeleving niets bijzonders en zeker niet iets wat ik thuis niet had gekund. Bediening vond ik erg onoplettend en langzaam. Zaten veel te wachten. Zaten twee grote groepen ouderen die alle aandacht 'opeisten' dus qua sfeer vooral veel rumoer.

Eten was smakelijk en onze dochter kreeg een leuke kleurplaat.

Goed gegeten, snelle bediening en bovendien een leuke prijs.

Heerlijk gegeten, fijne bediening. Prijs kwaliteit verhouding goed. Wij hebben er van genoten!!

Heerlijk met onze familie (8 personen) gegeten na een dagje tulpen kijken. We hadden allemaal het 3 gangen menu genomen en iedereen was zeer tevreden over de maaltijden! Smaak, opmaak alles was top! We zaten ook nog eens samen in een aparte kamer. Heel fijn want dan kun je elkaar ook goed verstaan.

Heerlijk genoten van een 3 gangen diner die je zelf samen kan stellen. Super leuk en knus ingericht met aardige bediening. Een echt familiebedrijf, zeker een aanrader!

Leuke nette zaak met redelijke prijzen. Alleen door de relatief kleine ruimte en de vele plaatsen is het als het druk is een kakofonie van geluid.

Eten vond ik gewoon 'normaal' Vlees was soms beetje taai

oude stinkende mensen, eten duurt lang heb honhwr, krijg vrouw zegt dat druk is, kutwxcuus, durf beter te werken. met vriendelijke groet: julian je grootste nachtmerrie

Buiten op het terras twee cappuccino's besteld. We kregen de koffie in een kartonnen bekertje en rekenden maar liefst €7,- af. Over de rest van het restaurant kan ik niet oordelen, maar ik vond dit geen goede prijs - kwaliteit verhouding. Jammer.

Bakkie en puntje en een Cola tijdens een fietsrit Nootdorp -kopje van Bloemendaal -nootdorp 125km even lekker in het zonnetje.

Top restaurant! Hele fijne bediening, echt aardig. Eten was ook helemaal top, niks op aan te merken. En als klap op de vuurpijl vonden wij de prijs ook meevallen! 27,50 voor een 3 gangen diner, waar vind je dat? Dus van ons krijgen ze een 10!

Heerlijk eten en vriendelijk bediening. Verder is de locatie leuk om ook uitstapjes naast te maken in de natuur.

Zijn hier al vaker geweest,en is 1 van onze favoriete kwaliteit en klantgericht is erg goed .

Ik weet nog wel dat een 3-gangendiner ooit 14,95 kostte. Toen was het een leuke prijs voor prima eten. Ik heb het idee dat de kwaliteit omlaag is gegaan en de prijs omhoog. 27,50 voor een 3-gangendiner is erg hoog voor deze kwaliteit.

Sijgje in Voorhout is gezellig met een vriendelijke service. Het diner is prima voor deze prijs. De porties zijn niet groot maar daarom is het ook een proeverij.

Goed geregeld, heerlijk gegeten en wat een fijn enthousiast personeel! De prijs is goed te doen, wij betaalden voor 4 gangen met 3 drankjes met z'n 2en 65 euro.

De prijs is in korte tijd weer gestegen voor het 3-gangen menu naar 17,95 pp. Dit had nog wel acceptabel kunnen zijn, mits ze de kaart niet veranderd zouden hebben. Ook zijn de 2 lekkerste desserts zijn eraf, wafel en lava cakeje. Het personeel is wel vriendelijk zoals altijd. Het eten is 'oké', maar niet bijzonder. Het zou een flinke verbetering zijn als het terras achter betegeld zou worden zodat de tafeltjes niet meer wiebelen en het netter oogt.
