Opa Pietje in Wijk 00 Kerkdriel

We unexpectedly ended up in Kerkdriel and wanted something to eat. We chose Opa Pietje based on a sign on the dike. The waitstaff was super friendly, and the menu was also surprising. The spare ribs were incredibly large and deliciously seasoned, falling off the bone. And then those tenderloin steaks: Sublime!!!! In short: If you're in Kerkdriel, definitely dine at Opa Pietje!

The price-quality ratio is excellent. The food was delicious. The service was mediocre to poor. One of us forgot to make the main course, so it arrived 15 minutes later than the others. Then I ordered a pizza for my son, which was never made and also forgotten. Then I ordered an extra drink, which I had to ask for after a while, and it was also forgotten. As compensation, I received a free bottle of water. It's a shame, because it's a very cozy restaurant and the food is delicious.

At Opa Pietje's, you can enjoy good food in a cozy atmosphere. I particularly enjoyed the scallops with chorizo.

Got a clear answer on the first try — appreciated their time. First try, clear answer — exactly how civilised service ought to be. When I rang, they were courteous, upfront about the positions available, and entirely unfazed when I mentioned I’m from Ukraine — a small but telling sign of good manners. One leaves the conversation with the impression of a house that values people as much as its cuisine. Five stars, and my best wishes for their continued success.

We received very pleasant and friendly service. The food was exactly what we wanted. The fish was perfectly prepared, and the spicy spare ribs were just my thing.

Seven people went for dinner suddenly, but we were able to sit inside at a table for eight. A quick drink and a little later, the menu was presented. The six of us opted for the tenderloin steaks, which were quite tasty and well-done. We'll definitely be back.

The food was excellent, but it's a shame that you have to pay extra for fries with a dish that costs €36.50. We had a starter, main course, and dessert. So, it's a shame it's expensive.

What a nice place, nice menu and very nice service. A must to go there if you are near Kerkdriel

I ordered a schnitzel for €23 and also a salad (€4.50), as the portions aren't particularly large. After we received our food (2 x burgers with fries €19.50) I asked why we only got two portions of fries even though every dish should have fries. When I asked the very nice waitress, they explained to me that we should share two small portions of fries again so that everyone would get fries. I then ordered another extra portion of fries for €3.50 so that each of us had a small portion of fries. €23 + €4.50 + €3.50 So I paid €31 for my dish. During the meal the waitress came and asked if everything was okay, up until that point everything was okay. Unfortunately, towards the end of the schnitzel it became very spicy and peppery. After eating we were asked again if everything was okay. At this point I showed the waitress the black pepper on my plate and in the breading and explained to her that I wasn't happy and my food wasn't okay. She recorded it and wanted to say something in the kitchen. After that no reaction. Therefore, I am of the opinion that the price/performance ratio and the quality do not fit here. Unfortunately, I didn't receive an apology or an open word in the restaurant, so I can share my experiences here.

Restaurant looks super cozy! Breadboard and starters were very tasty. However, the fish for the main course was undercooked. Report this to the staff, who took the food back, apologized and said it was resolved. Some time later I got my plate back with the same piece of fish and I was the only one left to eat. Now I know that this can happen once in a while, but unfortunately the fish was still undercooked. This is also indicated and shown. I received an apology, I'll pass it on. Unfortunately not worth repeating for us!

28-02-2025 Fantastische lunch, in een oergezellige en mooie ambiance. Wij zijn hier nu voor de tweede keer en de lunch was echt heerlijk. We hadden de borrelplank vis en het heet kiepke ...en het was verukkelijk. We hebben echt genoten...en de vraag is dan ook 'wat opa Pietje net zo anders' maakt dan andere lunch- plekken. Allereerst is het eten zo heerlijk en smakelijk en verzorgd. 😋😋😋 Lekkere smaken, vers, veelzijdig en (gelukkig) ook voldoende. Complimenten aan de kok. Ten tweede zijn de mensen, bediening en eigenaresse zelf ook heel aardig, gastvrijen attent. Ze maken her en der graag even een praatje en zien de gast ook als gast! Ten derde is het een mooie restaurant, met een super gezellige sfeer. Al met al....heel lekker gelunched en genoten van het hete kiepke en de borreplank vis. Wij vinden Opa Pietje in Kerkdriel een echte aanrader!

Samen met mijn vrouw bij Opa Pietje geluncht. Ik kan op alle fronten alles positief beoordelingen. Warm ontvangst door super vriendelijke bediening, zonder dat het overdreven was. De sfeer was erg positief. Het eten was voortreffelijk. Ik had een visplank, mijn vrouw pittige kip schotel. Beide erg lekker en zeker voldoende. Prijs kwaliteit verhouding zat helemaal goed. We hebben erg genoten hier, zeker voor herhaling vatbaar. Bij vertrek waren we al buiten toen eigenaresse ons nog achterna kwam om goedendag te wensen. Zo hartelijk.

Simply delicious! Starter, main course and dessert were delicious. Good cocktails, nice atmosphere, the chairs and sofas are comfortable. Knowledgeable and service-oriented staff. Recommended.

We had a very tasty meal several times at Grandpa Pietje's. Also gluten-free variants. Vegetarians can eat a very tasty beetroot hamburger here. Tomato soup is the tastiest I have ever eaten. If you like beer, definitely visit here. The space is cozy. There is music on that is barely audible when it is busy. It is always busy on weekends and you should definitely make a reservation.

We had reserved well in advance, but it's a pity that they don't keep a spot available on the terrace. Sitting inside was fine. Menu has plenty of choice. We had to ask for the menu several times. Carpaccio was tasty, shrimps in oil, bland. Ate eel on bread and beef tataki, these were good. Music is great. Main course tournedos 200 grams 33.95 slightly on the high side. Desserts were tasty We will come back here

Nice terrace, ordered soft drinks with bitterballen. But what a price for bitterballen: €1.50 each. Not normal. Then it may be a so-called special one. But sorry, you can't eat that off.

Ben je in de buurt moet je hier naar toe voor drinken of lunch of diner. Het terras is wat klein maar gezellig ze hebben heaters hangen voor als het koud is. Wc zijn prima Het personeel is vriendelijk en behulpzaam .

Unfortunately we didn't reserve a table but still got a nice terrace table for a total of 7 people. Staff very friendly even though the shop was full, food was A+++ for everyone, nice atmosphere and of course not always a clean toilet. Gladly Grandpa Pietje again :-)

Ate here during our holiday. We were early and were able to get a table. Later several people without a reservation. Despite many tables being reserved, a solution was found for almost everyone. We came because of the spareribs but unfortunately they weren't available. The alternatives (pork belly and schnitzel) were not good and the side dishes were plain. There has to be more for this price and I don't mean the stomach problems.

We come from Germany and were here for a short vacation. This restaurant had a menu in German, which was not common practice and which we found to be very good. The food was super delicious! And the staff very friendly. If we come here again, we would like to eat there again.

Prima plek om te eten, wij zaten op het terras.Vriendelijke bediening en eten gewoon goed. Jammer dat toen wij er s'avond waren er tijdelijk overlastgevende jeugd op scooters met veel lawaai rondjes reden. Maar daar kan opa Pietje ook niets aan doen helaas.

We waren met 10 personen..eten was goed. Ikzelf had de ossenhaaspuntjes, maar de lasagne, spareribs etc. ook geen klachten over gehoord.. waarom service geen 5 sterren.. nou dat zit zo... bij mijn dubbele espresso hadden ze geen Drambuie..en opa's rummetje vond ik niet zo lekker

Mooi ruim terras met uitzicht op het plein in Kerkdrie.l

Geweldig mooi grand café met gezellige medewerkers. De eigenaar is er terecht trots op. Hij vertelde mij over de vele biertje die hij in huis had. Wij zaten buiten i.v.m. het mooie weer. Prima gegeten. Toplocatie mede doordat Europarcs, waar wij zaten, geen restaurant heeft. 5 minuutjes op de fiets is Opa Pietje te bereiken vanaf het park.

Opa pietje zeer zeker aanrader, heerlijk gegeten en gedronken. Kwantiteit en kwaliteit.

Erster Besuch am Mittag. Mit Bier, Wein und Borel. Das Restaurant war gut besucht an diesem Sonntag. Aber der Service war sehr freundlich und nett und auch promtp. Der Seranno Schinken ein Traum und auch die Bitterballen schmeckten hervorragend. Zweiter Besuch ein Nachtessen. Wieder sehr nettes Personal. Schnell und freundlich. Das Essen sehr gut gekocht und nicht zu schnell serviert. Nur der Dessert, der war leider wirklich extrem süss. Schade.
