We are big fans of Orient Plaza, and especially the Dim Sum restaurant. Delicious, beautiful dishes!

We enjoyed our dinner in the Korean BBQ and Japanese restaurant Jiro. It's a arrangement for 3.5 hours including beverages (not hard liquor). Self catering and frying meat on an electric pan by yourself. Cosy ambience and friendly staff.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Orient Plaza Nijmegen, at the Kyoto section. What a beautiful place to eat! The restaurant looks very beautiful, atmospheric, and well-maintained, giving you a pleasant impression as soon as you enter. The food was really delicious and there is a huge variety. There is something for everyone, making it ideal if you are dining with several people and everyone likes something different. The sushi, in particular, was fantastic: fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The meat was also delicious, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Additionally, the service was very pleasant. Friendly, attentive, and professional, which made the whole experience even better. You can tell that attention is paid to the guests and that everything is well organized. And of course, the desserts shouldn't be missed! They were also truly delicious and a perfect end to the evening. From starter to dessert, we had an incredibly delicious meal!

Speaking of the service for a moment, This really needs to be many times better one owner who rushes everyone and everything, I understand that you want customers to get their food on time, but you can also overdo it!! so I pointed out myself several times that my food needed to be served to the table/grill a bit less quickly. and at the end I asked if they had Licor 43 for the coffee. "Yes, of course we do, sir." Not so; I saw out of the corner of my eye that they had put a few shots of Bacardi in it 👎🏻

Saturday evening, during the first night of the summer festivities: it is not busy, rather a bit empty. This time, we take the stairs up one floor to the Japanese and Chinese section. After a rather bad experience in the All You Can Eat section three years ago, we were told to take a look at the floor above. And indeed: both the ambiance and the quality improve here. We chose the Japanese Teriyaki griddle in the Kyoto section. The meal is prepared right in front of you by a very skilled chef, which is very nice to watch. The flavors are delicious and the plates and bowls are beautifully presented; that is how I like it. We are served by a very nice, attentive, and skilled hostess. Top-notch! We were inside for about 2.5 hours. This is highly recommended for people who appreciate Asian cuisine. The food is not too spicy. We chose the Sango menu. A delicious menu without meat, just fish, then. If you find my review helpful, please give it a like. It is a small effort for you, but makes a big difference for others and for me.

We were just here, the atmosphere and the people are friendly but the food was not fresh. I have never eaten food like this in my life. The tenderloin looked like cat food. Everything comes out lukewarm as if it was reheated in the microwave!!

Our experience was awful; we won't be going back. The service and attitude of the waiter (in the Chinese food area) was terrible. From the moment he took our drink order, he gave us the impression that things were going to be bad. There were some dishes that arrived that we didn't even recognize, and when we asked, they didn't know either. Not to mention the small portions compared to other tables we saw nearby. All communication with the waiter was rude, implying that because we were foreigners we didn't understand, and making us feel helpless. When he placed our glasses, he put his fingers inside them, which we found disgusting. Regardless of the service, it was extremely expensive for the small amount of food on each plate. We had a really delicious meal at Kyoto. It is located in Orient Plaza. We ate from the Japanese griddle. It is a bit pricey, but highly recommended!!

Picked up to go, quite pricey, considering the quality is justified

During our return journey from Gouda to the south, we needed to stop somewhere to eat along the way. Online reservations were actually only possible an hour later, but since we still had about a half-hour drive ahead of us, we decided to head that way anyway. What surprised us was that it was fairly quiet. Perhaps that had to do with the World Cup, since the Netherlands was playing at 10:00 PM, but we aren't sure. In any case, we had a delicious meal. At Orient Plaza, you can choose from wok, sushi, Korean barbecue, and fondue, among other things. So there is plenty of choice for everyone. Personally, I had expected a few more meat and fish options to grill. The sushi was tasty and there was plenty of choice. Ordering sushi and small dishes via your phone also worked perfectly. Fondue isn't normally really our thing, but of course, we tried it anyway. The noodles and shrimp version tasted good. The service deserves an extra compliment. Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful. That made the experience extra pleasant. The only real downside we found was the tables. Because of all the hoses and connections required for the barbecue and fondue plates, there is a large block under the table. As a result, there is not enough room for your legs, and you quickly bump your knees against the structure. Consequently, you sit a bit further away from the table than is comfortable. Honestly, I don't know if we would go back again. The food was tasty, the atmosphere pleasant, and the service excellent. At the same time, we found it quite pricey. For the same amount, we know of several other nice restaurants in our own area that we would probably visit sooner.

We lunched with a big group of friends and family. We reserved separate tables instead of together, but friendly staff helped out and merged the tables.

Maybe it was the evening, but it was a shabby affair. Run-down and dirty. The food was clearly not fresh, except for the sushi. Not to mention the terrible sewage smell. It used to be okayish, so I hoped it had improved, but unfortunately, it has gone the other way.

I have eaten here often, but unfortunately, it is getting worse and worse. The quality of the meat has deteriorated significantly, and the sushi lacks flavor. Still, I kept coming back because it was always a pleasant atmosphere. But the way customers are treated now is really the last straw for me. A birthday promotion was introduced that is subsequently not applied. Customer service just keeps repeating the same standard email, and apparently, they can't even manage an apology for the negligence or inconvenience. Very disappointing. I'm done with it.

The food had no taste. Sushi is just rice, no flavor at all. Teriyaki sauce tasted like water. A packet of mayonnaise with sweet potato fries instead of truffle sauce. And then you think, what could possibly go wrong with the ice cream... tastes like water 🤣 I also got a frozen "fried" banana. It looked like food reheated from the microwave. Mushrooms and salmon were full of oil. I could go on, but no, we are never coming here again. Oh yeah, and it was very quiet because there was literally no one to be seen in the restaurant, but according to the owner, everyone always likes the food there and there are never any complaints!

We ate at the Korean side on a quiet Saturday (late afternoon). You get a BBQ and hotpot served at the table. Furthermore, you can take unlimited meat, fish, and seafood from the coolers for the BBQ or hotpot. You can also create your own dips. Additionally, you can order sushi and other dishes via your phone, just like you normally would at an all-you-can-eat restaurant. The reason for the 4-star review is because the sushi was mediocre. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Yes, the music they play is a bit random, but that didn't spoil our fun; we will definitely come back.

The meat at the Korean BBQ was not fresh; it smelled like it was even spoiled. Limited choice. Sushi was nothing special, and the grilled dishes were also tasteless.

The food was good but if you both order menu of 65 euros and you have to pay 8,50 for a bottle of water, you'te feeling like you're being robbed.

We had a wonderful meal, although we arrived a bit late and without a reservation. We had a wonderful, relaxed meal at the Japanese restaurant (upstairs).

Don't eat here! What a dump. We were put in the back corner at a table. Next to us was a family birthday party with 50 people. People were constantly shouting at children running after each other. People who got in the way were constantly shouting from table to table. The staff didn't say anything. At the end, I told them we were disappointed that we were pushed into the back corner next to a noisy group. The owner didn't apologize. He also became rude when I told them we wouldn't be back. And I haven't even mentioned everything that was filthy. Containers still had leftovers in them. Raw shrimp that had been sitting on the floor of the refrigerator for over two hours. Drinks you ordered were also forgotten and never brought back. Food was thrown on the table before you could tell them you hadn't ordered it. In short: DON'T GO HERE.

Fantastic restaurant! Never had a bad meal: everything is delicious, well-prepared, and the quality is consistent. The staff is warm and attentive. Parking is never a problem. Without a doubt, the best all-you-can-eat in the Nijmegen area.

Eaten here often. Delicious, but last time everything was cold, probably because the serving dishes came out of the refrigerator. They felt cold, so the dishes got cold too. A shame.

I had a lovely evening with my boyfriend at Kyoto in Orient Plaza. We made the reservation the same morning, which was very easy. There are several menus to choose from (€45–€89 per person), but I decided to order individual sushi pieces instead—and it turned out to be the best choice. The sushi is truly the best in Nijmegen: fresh, well-balanced, and beautifully prepared. We ordered one bottle of Italian wine and three plates of the chef’s special sushi mix (9 pieces per plate), and the total came to around €120 for two people, which felt very reasonable for the quality. The atmosphere is great. We chose a separate table rather than the central seating area, which is more lively and allows you to watch the chef at work. Both options are appealing, depending on the mood you’re looking for. Highly recommended for a special evening out.

What an unwelcoming atmosphere hangs here during Christmas. The food wasn't really special. It was incredibly cold where we were sitting, but according to the waiters, it wasn't that bad!!!!! Even after insisting on the heating being turned on or up, there was no response. You won't see us back here again. We did have a delicious meal there on previous occasions, though.

On Christmas Day, we ate at one of the four restaurant options, Jiro. We last ate here about six or seven years ago. Things have changed since then, and certainly not for the better. The service was good, fast, and friendly. The food, however, probably wasn't great; it was all a bit bland. It looked well-prepared but lacked flavor. Previously, you could also have the chefs prepare your food for you. That's no longer possible; there are shelves filled with prepared food like nasi goreng, bami, and some unsavory meat dishes. All in all, I wouldn't recommend it anymore, especially not for this price! What further negatively impacted our experience was the cold in the restaurant. There was a very cold wind, which is nobody's fault, but the place where we were seated was extremely cold.

The food was of good quality, only a pity that almost everything on the buffet was lukewarm to cold, I think this is not worth € 53 without drinks, even though it is busy at Christmas and costs a bit more.

The food service is incredibly slow! We waited for half an hour and asked twice before our food arrived. We also had other urgent matters to attend to, so we asked to settle the tea fee and leave. At this point, the only male waiter wouldn't let us leave, saying the food had already been prepared and we had to take it to go. We said okay, we could take it to go, but there was nothing to take away… no food for us, and they wouldn't let us leave… they even threatened us, saying we had to eat what we ordered!!! His attitude was extremely rude. By the way, when we arrived at the restaurant, this male waiter pretended not to speak Chinese, but he started speaking Cantonese during the argument. And this isn't the end of it; I just bought lawyer insurance and haven't used it yet. Als je met hongerdood bedreigd wilt worden, kom dan hier eten! Ik geef het maar twee sterren om te voorkomen dat het verwijderd wordt! Hoyun is het meest walgelijke Chinese restaurant waar ik ooit heb gegeten! Zonder twijfel! De bediening is ongelooflijk traag! We hebben half uur gewacht en twee keer gevraagd voordat ons eten kwam. We hadden ook andere dringende zaken te regelen, dus vroegen we om de thee te betalen en te vertrekken. al klaar was en we het mee moesten nemen. Extreem onbeleefd. Trouwens, toen we bij het restaurant aankwamen, deed deze mannelijke ober alsof hij geen Chinees sprak, maar tijdens de ruzie begon hij Kantonees te spreken. We dined with a group of eight at Korea restaurant, one of the Orient Plaza locations. The welcome was friendly. The restaurant was far from crowded. Korea offers the option of having a BBQ or fondue at your table. But you can also use the wok, sushi, and related items from the menu. You can order the latter with your phone using a QR code. All these concepts combined, or rather, mixed together, meant that nothing was truly great. The sushi (which you didn't have to pay extra for) was basic and lacked flavor. I'm not particularly fond of the fondue, but that's a personal preference, of course. At the BBQ, you can choose from a wide variety of meat and fish from the refrigerator, even frog legs. But not everything is equally good. Take the sole, for example. That's no party food... Besides, barbecuing on parchment paper isn't very pleasant either. You regularly have to peel the burnt paper off your meat. Finally, there's a dessert buffet. It features mostly ice cream, sweets, and fresh fruit. The fresh fruit was truly fresh and delicious. You can also order drinks via your phone, and they arrived quickly. Free parking in front is well-organized. I've often eaten at Kyoto (another part of Orient Plaza) in the past. And it's the best they have to offer. A bit more expensive, but a better experience and tastier food. All in all, Korea was fun to visit again. But I don't need to go back anytime soon.

Excellent Chinese food. It tastes pretty much the same throughout the Netherlands. We came here for lunch four days in a row during a training session, so perhaps a bit more variety in the dishes would be a good idea. The service is good, but a bit forced and friendly. Some of the staff also speak poor Dutch. The atmosphere is, yes, like being at a Chinese restaurant. Fish, lots of red, gold, and black, and Chinese music. It's quite nice to look at, but a little more attention to detail and cleanliness would make it perfect.

Top-notch restaurant. Delicious food, fast service, and a beautiful layout. You can simply chat without anyone bothering you.

The food here used to be excellent. Ate here today, and it was a less than stellar experience. The hor fan had a thick sauce, and the pancakes were also thick, which affected the mouthfeel. The shrimp pancakes weren't well-made either; there weren't many shrimp.

The staff quickly forgets your drink orders and arrives at your table very late. The chicken has an odd texture. Otherwise, it's a nice restaurant, but the food quality isn't always there. Sometimes it's better than other times.

The environment is beautiful, I am very satisfied with every dish, delicious and generous in quantity, parking is convenient, I recommend coming often.

Unfortunately, no photos, but the teppanyaki (Tokyo) is truly excellent, exactly what I'm used to. The usuyaki is especially my favorite. Highly recommended! Very friendly staff! It's just too far to drive there and back! In short... do it!

A multi-tenant building with four different restaurants: Jiro (sushi and wok), Korea (Korean BBQ including sushi and wok), Kyoto (Japanese), and Honyun (Chinese and Cantonese). The food and service are excellent. Jiro and Korea are all-you-can-eat concepts and have a correspondingly accessible atmosphere. Kyoto and Honyun offer à la carte options and a more upscale feel. The cuisines are somewhat Westernized in flavor. Honyun is the exception, offering more traditional dishes and preparations.

How nice! All kinds of food, and you can have a bit of almost anything. We sat at the Korean barbecue and also had a fair amount of sushi. The atmosphere isn't necessarily my cup of tea, but it's definitely brightened up and Korean-inspired. The food was all good, but a lot of it was super salty, which is bad for my organs but very good for my tongue. I'd love to come back here again.

Orient Plaza in Nijmegen is a large Asian restaurant with several sections. You can enjoy a wok (where you pick unlimited ingredients and have them prepared for a fixed price), or choose a Vietnamese hotpot at your table or a griddle. It's ideal for groups, as there's plenty of choice and the food is generally delicious. I recently went there with a group of ten, and we had a wonderful time. From sushi and noodle dishes to an extensive dessert buffet with Italian ice cream, pastries, a chocolate fountain, and sweets, there's plenty to choose from. The atmosphere is great, although I personally find it a bit dark inside. The cooking process does release some smoke, which can leave your clothes smelling of food. However, that doesn't change the fact that it's definitely recommended for a pleasant evening with family or friends.

Good food, only the drive was difficult so we had to go inside

This is about the Japanese restaurant. We had the place to ourselves on a weekday (this colours the score) and chose the 8 course menu. All of the food came directly from the kitchen to our table. I've had some good lobster in my life, but the grilled lobster here was definitely up there.

Really a shame this weather, you have to be lucky who is in the kitchen. Sometimes it is very good but today again crap. Everything watery and almost mandatory vegetarian. Had weekly menu babi pangang tasteless tjap tjoy with watery vegetable mass no meat to be found and terriaki with say and write 1 tiny piece of chicken found. Was certainly not worth the money. Had a super fun birthday night (of my mother) and had a delicious meal. So nice that you are provided with all the comforts. You can order sushi from the menu. You can have hotpot, Korean BBQ, wok. Everything is fresh in the refrigerators that you can help yourself, lots of vegetables, delicious sauces. Fast service and friendly staff. Beautiful location and beautiful building. Really recommended. The dessert buffet is also extensive. Very nice with children too.

The Korean BBQ is delicious. Nice concept of good meat. Nice places to sit alone with your partner or family. Definitely recommended.

We ventured to visit Oriental Plaza, Kyoto. Wrong idea. Our “private” room was an ice-cold cell with a creaking fan. In the restaurant it was no better: draft almost blew us away. The tuna sushi was good, but after that it went downhill. Soup smelled like old carpet, sauce was salty enough for the Dead Sea, and the tenderloin was ice cold inside. The salad? A sad collection of dried out vegetables. We received a full bill for €158 because we did not give the chef a second chance. Want a Siberian dining experience with a nightmare guarantee? Go here. Would you rather not? In Nijmegen you can eat unlimited elsewhere for €35 p.p., hot and much better.

Honyun (1st floor) at Orient Plaza has been my family’s Asian go-to restaurant in Nijmegen for years. Perfect for family dinners, dimsum, Christmas. The food is always tasty and spot on. They’re super accommodating with special wishes too. Ask for the other (Chinese) menu. Never disappoints.

I got some recommendations for Orient Plaza, after all the authentic Chinese restaurants in Arnhem closed down. At first glance the location is not very inviting – it is on an industrial estate. But as soon as you step inside, it feels like you're entering a completely different world. Orient Plaza has four restaurants: Japanese, Korean, Sushi & Grill, and Cantonese Chinese. We chose Honyun, the Cantonese restaurant. The interior is well maintained, the staff is friendly, and the dim sum menu is extensive. The food is delicious, full of flavor, and you can really taste the freshness. The prices for dim sum are on the higher side, but since there are no other dim sum options in the area and the quality is excellent, it's definitely worth it.

Dated, good and friendly service. Baking paper from the BBQ burns quickly, causing all kinds of black substance to stick to your food - that is really not good and deserves a quick/adequate solution

We have been customers here for years and Jiro is our preference. You can order many snacks and small dishes here. All very tasty and prepared with care. The atmosphere is cozy, but there used to be live music from nice little bands and I still miss that. In this building you can also find other restaurants such as Kyoto, Japanese and Korean BBQ. All very highly recommended.
