We ate at Jiro, the sushi restaurant. As usual, the food was excellent, the service very friendly, and the atmosphere was fantastic.

If you want to be threatened with starvation, come eat here! I'm only giving it two stars to avoid it being deleted! Hoyun is the most disgusting Chinese restaurant I've ever eaten at! Bar none! The food service is incredibly slow! We waited for half an hour and asked twice before our food arrived. We also had other urgent matters to attend to, so we asked to settle the tea fee and leave. At this point, the only male waiter wouldn't let us leave, saying the food had already been prepared and we had to take it to go. We said okay, we could take it to go, but there was nothing to take away… no food for us, and they wouldn't let us leave… they even threatened us, saying we had to eat what we ordered!!! His attitude was extremely rude. By the way, when we arrived at the restaurant, this male waiter pretended not to speak Chinese, but he started speaking Cantonese during the argument. And this isn't the end of it; I just bought lawyer insurance and haven't used it yet. Als je met hongerdood bedreigd wilt worden, kom dan hier eten! Ik geef het maar twee sterren om te voorkomen dat het verwijderd wordt! Hoyun is het meest walgelijke Chinese restaurant waar ik ooit heb gegeten! Zonder twijfel! De bediening is ongelooflijk traag! We hebben half uur gewacht en twee keer gevraagd voordat ons eten kwam. We hadden ook andere dringende zaken te regelen, dus vroegen we om de thee te betalen en te vertrekken. al klaar was en we het mee moesten nemen. Extreem onbeleefd. Trouwens, toen we bij het restaurant aankwamen, deed deze mannelijke ober alsof hij geen Chinees sprak, maar tijdens de ruzie begon hij Kantonees te spreken. Ik heb net een advocatenverzekering afgesloten en die nog niet gebruikt.

We dined with a group of eight at Korea restaurant, one of the Orient Plaza locations. The welcome was friendly. The restaurant was far from crowded. Korea offers the option of having a BBQ or fondue at your table. But you can also use the wok, sushi, and related items from the menu. You can order the latter with your phone using a QR code. All these concepts combined, or rather, mixed together, meant that nothing was truly great. The sushi (which you didn't have to pay extra for) was basic and lacked flavor. I'm not particularly fond of the fondue, but that's a personal preference, of course. At the BBQ, you can choose from a wide variety of meat and fish from the refrigerator, even frog legs. But not everything is equally good. Take the sole, for example. That's no party food... Besides, barbecuing on parchment paper isn't very pleasant either. You regularly have to peel the burnt paper off your meat. Finally, there's a dessert buffet. It features mostly ice cream, sweets, and fresh fruit. The fresh fruit was truly fresh and delicious. You can also order drinks via your phone, and they arrived quickly. Free parking in front is well-organized. I've often eaten at Kyoto (another part of Orient Plaza) in the past. And it's the best they have to offer. A bit more expensive, but a better experience and tastier food. All in all, Korea was fun to visit again. But I don't need to go back anytime soon.

Got Chinese takeout, the food was decent, and the main thing I missed was the vegetables. I also ordered a bowl of sushi. I thought the whole thing was a bit pricey. Could be less. The service was good.

Excellent Chinese food. It tastes pretty much the same throughout the Netherlands. We came here for lunch four days in a row during a training session, so perhaps a bit more variety in the dishes would be a good idea. The service is good, but a bit forced and friendly. Some of the staff also speak poor Dutch. The atmosphere is, yes, like being at a Chinese restaurant. Fish, lots of red, gold, and black, and Chinese music. It's quite nice to look at, but a little more attention to detail and cleanliness would make it perfect.

The food here used to be excellent. Ate here today, and it was a less than stellar experience. The hor fan had a thick sauce, and the pancakes were also thick, which affected the mouthfeel. The shrimp pancakes weren't well-made either; there weren't many shrimp.

The staff quickly forgets your drink orders and arrives at your table very late. The chicken has an odd texture. Otherwise, it's a nice restaurant, but the food quality isn't always there. Sometimes it's better than other times.

The environment is beautiful, I am very satisfied with every dish, delicious and generous in quantity, parking is convenient, I recommend coming often.

Got Chinese food, but besides the noodles, there wasn't anything really tasty. The satay had a strange aftertaste. We won't be going there again.

Unfortunately, no photos, but the teppanyaki (Tokyo) is truly excellent, exactly what I'm used to. The usuyaki is especially my favorite. Highly recommended! Very friendly staff! It's just too far to drive there and back! In short... do it!

A multi-tenant building with four different restaurants: Jiro (sushi and wok), Korea (Korean BBQ including sushi and wok), Kyoto (Japanese), and Honyun (Chinese and Cantonese). The food and service are excellent. Jiro and Korea are all-you-can-eat concepts and have a correspondingly accessible atmosphere. Kyoto and Honyun offer à la carte options and a more upscale feel. The cuisines are somewhat Westernized in flavor. Honyun is the exception, offering more traditional dishes and preparations.

As always, we had delicious sushi at Orient Plaza.

How nice! All kinds of food, and you can have a bit of almost anything. We sat at the Korean barbecue and also had a fair amount of sushi. The atmosphere isn't necessarily my cup of tea, but it's definitely brightened up and Korean-inspired. The food was all good, but a lot of it was super salty, which is bad for my organs but very good for my tongue. I'd love to come back here again.

Orient Plaza in Nijmegen is a large Asian restaurant with several sections. You can enjoy a wok (where you pick unlimited ingredients and have them prepared for a fixed price), or choose a Vietnamese hotpot at your table or a griddle. It's ideal for groups, as there's plenty of choice and the food is generally delicious. I recently went there with a group of ten, and we had a wonderful time. From sushi and noodle dishes to an extensive dessert buffet with Italian ice cream, pastries, a chocolate fountain, and sweets, there's plenty to choose from. The atmosphere is great, although I personally find it a bit dark inside. The cooking process does release some smoke, which can leave your clothes smelling of food. However, that doesn't change the fact that it's definitely recommended for a pleasant evening with family or friends.

Good food, only the drive was difficult so we had to go inside

This is about the Japanese restaurant. We had the place to ourselves on a weekday (this colours the score) and chose the 8 course menu. All of the food came directly from the kitchen to our table. I've had some good lobster in my life, but the grilled lobster here was definitely up there.

Really a shame this weather, you have to be lucky who is in the kitchen. Sometimes it is very good but today again crap. Everything watery and almost mandatory vegetarian. Had weekly menu babi pangang tasteless tjap tjoy with watery vegetable mass no meat to be found and terriaki with say and write 1 tiny piece of chicken found. Was certainly not worth the money. Had a super fun birthday night (of my mother) and had a delicious meal. So nice that you are provided with all the comforts. You can order sushi from the menu. You can have hotpot, Korean BBQ, wok. Everything is fresh in the refrigerators that you can help yourself, lots of vegetables, delicious sauces. Fast service and friendly staff. Beautiful location and beautiful building. Really recommended. The dessert buffet is also extensive. Very nice with children too.

We ventured to visit Oriental Plaza, Kyoto. Wrong idea. Our “private” room was an ice-cold cell with a creaking fan. In the restaurant it was no better: draft almost blew us away. The tuna sushi was good, but after that it went downhill. Soup smelled like old carpet, sauce was salty enough for the Dead Sea, and the tenderloin was ice cold inside. The salad? A sad collection of dried out vegetables. We received a full bill for €158 because we did not give the chef a second chance. Want a Siberian dining experience with a nightmare guarantee? Go here. Would you rather not? In Nijmegen you can eat unlimited elsewhere for €35 p.p., hot and much better.

Honyun (1st floor) at Orient Plaza has been my family’s Asian go-to restaurant in Nijmegen for years. Perfect for family dinners, dimsum, Christmas. The food is always tasty and spot on. They’re super accommodating with special wishes too. Ask for the other (Chinese) menu. Never disappoints.

I got some recommendations for Orient Plaza, after all the authentic Chinese restaurants in Arnhem closed down. At first glance the location is not very inviting – it is on an industrial estate. But as soon as you step inside, it feels like you're entering a completely different world. Orient Plaza has four restaurants: Japanese, Korean, Sushi & Grill, and Cantonese Chinese. We chose Honyun, the Cantonese restaurant. The interior is well maintained, the staff is friendly, and the dim sum menu is extensive. The food is delicious, full of flavor, and you can really taste the freshness. The prices for dim sum are on the higher side, but since there are no other dim sum options in the area and the quality is excellent, it's definitely worth it.

Upstairs in the Japanese section, starter and main course: rice with meat. We usually do several courses, but now we're not so hungry. It was delicious

We have been customers here for years and Jiro is our preference. You can order many snacks and small dishes here. All very tasty and prepared with care. The atmosphere is cozy, but there used to be live music from nice little bands and I still miss that. In this building you can also find other restaurants such as Kyoto, Japanese and Korean BBQ. All very highly recommended.

Dated, good and friendly service. Baking paper from the BBQ burns quickly, causing all kinds of black substance to stick to your food - that is really not good and deserves a quick/adequate solution

We come here often for DimSum. Good enough in terms of quality of food. The interior and exterior are very impressive. The fact that they have various kitchens in 1 building is a nice concept! Must say that in the Nijmegen/Arnhem region?? this may be the only real dim sum restaurant so they have a bit of a monopoly here :c

Friendly staff. Especially the woman at the entrance was very helpful. The food was unfortunately really substandard. We went here because it was recommended to us. But I think it has changed in the meantime. The chefs perhaps? The duck with pancakes was so very old, dry and in small portions. The leek and cucumber were simply cut into cubes instead of julienne. That we did not eat it all, we actually never leave food behind. The Dim sums are handmade but have no taste at all (mainly dough, and no filling) (only the crispy shrimp ball was tasty). And you pay 4.50 per piece for that instead of per portion. The menu seems like it is falling apart. A bit unexpected because the restaurant looks very luxurious on the inside and the staff is also very nice. We find it a shame to give a bad review to friendly people, but we feel compelled to do so. Perhaps the Japanese sector or Korean BBQ is better, who knows.

First time here and definitely not the last

Good quality and enough variety of dishes.

A large building where you can eat unlimited cheap meat for a reasonable price. It is a bit of an overkill (literally and figuratively). Korean bbq suddenly has a hotpot next to it. You can go to the wok, order sushi, get desserts despite the choice for bbq (of course you are there yourself). Many of the dead animals are sprinkled with an overkill of salt and pepper.

I have been coming to Orient Plaza in Nijmegen for about 20 to 25 years, it was always our favorite Chinese. Today I ordered another spring roll Sate with a portion of sieuw yuk (suckling pig) and noodles. But to our great surprise, the dishes have changed so much that Orien is no longer our favorite. The spring rolls were large and very tasty, but now they are really small and less tasty. The satay sauce at Orient was super tasty now: no, no more satay sauce from Orient for us. The taste of the sieuw yuk is no longer what it used to be. The noodles were otherwise fine. Orient what happened to julie. I understand that everything has become more expensive, but that should not be judged on the quantity and/or taste (quality). Not every change is an improvement, Orient. Very unfortunate.

There are (still) few restaurants with Japanese food from the teppanyaki plate... in Rosendaal there is "Osaka" and there the portions and courses are slightly larger and more for comparable prices... Hence not the total number of stars...

A delicious all you can eat restaurant with delicious flavors. The all you can eat restaurant is spacious, clean, accessible and well organized. Meat, fish, mussels and vegetables are there for the taking. You can ask for rice and the like. The complex offers more than just all you can eat. Gasn will try next time.

I had Japanese tepanyaki here and went home hungry

We visited the Orient Plaza in Nijmegen and chose the Cantonese/Chinese cuisine - a real highlight! The restaurant offers three different culinary worlds: Japanese, Korean and Cantonese cuisine, so there is really something for every taste. We were particularly impressed by the quality of the dim sum, which was fresh, cleverly seasoned and perfectly prepared. Although the prices here are slightly higher than in other dim sum restaurants in the Netherlands, this is completely compensated for by the excellent quality of the food and the attentive service. The ambience is stylish, the atmosphere pleasantly relaxed, and the staff are always friendly and courteous. If you are looking for authentic Cantonese cuisine at a high level, you should definitely try Orient Plaza.

Picked up Chinese food via the drive in by car...just like at the mac.super convenient. Always good quality food. Wide choice. Never had food that was unreliable here.

On Boxing Day we had the Christmas menu at the Japanese restaurant, it was very tasty and the presentation was also very nice!

In Korea, in an alcove, 4 people can enjoy the Korean BBQ. After the clear explanation of the double stock pan and the BBQ plate, we started collecting the various delicacies from the transparent refrigerators: different types of meat with different herbs, fish, seafood. The vegetables, noodles, herbs and sauces are waiting openly. Afterwards, the four of us will happily find a spot on the BBQ, while stirring the broth to cook the vegetables or seafood in it and then enjoying the result. We repeated this a few times, until we were ready for the various desserts, ice creams and other sweet delicacies. A very successful evening! 😋

Aan de bakplaat! Maar als diegenen, die aan de bakplaat staan zichzelf kortdurende te noemen, moeten ze maar eens terug naar school. Coquille die eindigen als stuiterballen, kreeft wat nog droger was als Saharazand om over de souplesse van het personeel nog maar te zwijgen. Dit was voor mij 1 keer en nooit meer! Het is gewoon 1 grote vreetschuur.

Here you can eat the tastiest sushi at Jiro. The atmosphere is always very good and the service is great. Wonderful to eat out here.

The decor is old-fashioned and worn. The staff is irascible and the Japanese cuisine does not correspond to tradition. On the tepanyaki plate, tons of butter is used! The wagyu beef is cut carpaccio-style and monstrously buried under a mass of grilled onion, removing all its flavor. NEVER MORE.

For 79 euros Kyoto menu on man you have deteriorated, portions smaller than small more vegetables than normal miso soup 6 euros while it is just powder from the store not worthy of 79 euros

Went to the Japanese in Orient Plaza with the whole family and supporters. Delicious food. Pricey, but worth every cent. Definitely not the last time.

Op zich voldoende keuze in vlees, vis, sushi en wok, maar een waardeloze afzuiginstallatie je zit de hele tijd in een mist van baklucht dat is voor mij een reden van een keer en niet meer, die iets aan de afzuiging dan is een avondje tafelen weer genieten.

Menukaart via qrcodes, iedereen zit te piemelen met zijn telefoon aan tafel. ijs was goed en dat is alles. Bestellingen worden ruimschoots na aanklikken geleverd. Waardoor niemand meer weet wat hij aangeklikt heeft. Drinken ook via de qr code. Bakken grotendeels leeg. Wok was snel en prettig.

Takeaway was really disgusting and extremely expensive. The sushi in particular just tasted like dry cardboard. Often much better indoors. Given another chance, make it clear that you don't want a pig. I get pig. This is great work, bravo.

It's been a long time since we've been to the Orient Plaza. 15 years ago we went upstairs for dim sum every week, but nowadays they have much more. We had chosen Korean BBQ without making a reservation and we were able to take a seat on Sunday. Luckily we were early. What's great is that you can also enjoy the wok and sushi if you choose the BBQ and hot pot concept. Wide choice of sushi on the menu, you can get your own meat at the Korean BBQ. It is very narrow, there were 4 of us and we found it difficult with the doors opening, let alone when it is busier. Hot pot products were minimal, which was a shame. Korean BBQ with plenty of choice and well marinated! You could also get your own sauces and side dishes. Service is very fast with drinks, which is nice. It was a nice surprise, comparable to other Korean BBQ, the plus point is that you can enjoy the sushi menu. Free parking.

Delicious food (korean BBQ). It was delicious and you can eat a lot. You can order 5 dishes per round, 6 times, so 30 dishes in total. And then you also have a grill plate in the table and you can take unlimited meat/fish from the refrigerator and prepare it yourself at the table. You also have the wok section that you can use. And finally desserts. It was cozy, delicious and plentiful.

We had a nice evening at Korea restaurant! You can take the meat out of the refrigerator yourself, and you also have other different side dishes that you can put on the grill plate or in the hotpot. At first we didn't really know what exactly could be used for what, but with some extra explanation we succeeded. You can also order from a menu and there is an extensive dessert buffet. At the end a nice surprise because we were celebrating a birthday!

I didn't like it. Ordering via barcode and then 2 days later receiving a message "order complete" complete chaos for me. I should have gone to the Mac for my 40th anniversary. That food will be served instead of at the plaza. Failure! Herrietent.

First time here, we found it disappointing
