Bacon, cheese and hamburger omelettes, friendly boss, and small glasses of jaegermaster offered for adults and ice cream for the kids. Magnificent and cozy place with little background music. The gentleman is very kind and handsome (dixit Léa 😅🥳🥳 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️). We hadn't read the comments and that's a good thing because it was a great experience. We had a blast.

We were handled a bill after one beer. The staff was aparently unhappy that we sat inside.

To avoid, this restaurant has no quality apart from the view which is not bad. Poor quality product perfect for tourists

WE REFUSE TO SEPARATE THE NOTE One star because it’s on the canal and also because I wasn’t hungry when I left (or just disgusted). On the other hand, if the water in the canal was clearer, I would have drunk from it because I feel like I ate 4 spoons of very dry salt.

The add extra charges to the bill and extra taxes without stating it anywhere. Also I ordered a Coca Cola, and was served fake cola..

They overcharge and put x2 taxes on the Bill. The waiter is higher than a kite.

The waiter was impatient and pushed us to order. He asked us as we sat down and again 1 minute later. After we told him we wanted to take a look, he stood next to us and tapped impatiently on the table. We didn't feel comfortable there and it pretty much ruined our little break.

The atmosphere outside is wonderfully. Service was excellent and food was delicious! I loved the bacon, mushroom and cheese pancake. It was also a big pancake (pannekoek). My mother in law had an omelette and it was large too. We also tried the toasties and my son loved the ham, cheese and tomato one. We did not try the burgers. Give the place a try, it is not 2.5 stars :)

4 of us visited here when we went to Amsterdam in January. The service and food was exemplary and the staff were so friendly. We went 2 mornings out of the 3 we were there. Location perfect as well.

In reality I was very unwelcome by many Dutch people but this was the worst, we sat down and asked for coffee, they told me that they don't serve hot drinks, but as the name suggests COFFEE, so we asked for 1 water because I just wanted coffee, they said that as there were two of us We had to ask for two waters to be seated, to which I replied, bring a water and we already left, summing up to neither one nor anything, he simply ignored, super arrogant, super rude, in fact when I sat down I mistook the employee for a homeless person….very much so. too bad to be true….

To flee !! It claims to make pancakes when it's just huge thick pancakes: more than 15th for the Nutella banana "pancake".. but without banana because no more banana but the price remains the same... Fortunately the boss is wrong price on the TPE, as a result the price was divided by 10. It was deserved, it was not worth more

Coffee bar on the canals of Amsterdam, excellent central location, you can eat and drink, medium-high prices...The service is not excellent however it is always very crowded...Recommended for drinking a beer 🍺 so quick 👍

Only one piece of advice to give, move on. Nice terrace but deplorable food and service. 1 hour wait to serve a lousy burger. The coke is served directly in a glass, no matter what.

Today May 8 old unpleasant waiter. I just wanted to have an ICE tea with my friend the rude waiter instead of nicely saying that it's one drink per person told us unkindly. Customers are not dogs!

Deplorable. The waiter made fun of my companion's accent, pretending he didn't understand.

Contrary to a lot of the reviews we actually had a great time here. The pancakes were delicious, we had one savoury and one sweet. We had coffees which were also nice. Possibly a little pricey but we were right on the canal. Good and prompt service.

Nem volt semmi gond a hellyel, átlagos hely, a kiszolgálásra sincs panaszom, a környék nagyon kellemes.

Krásný výhled. Cappucino i káva se šlehačkou moc dobrá. Obsluha vstřícná.

Myself and husband come here every year for the pancakes.. they are out of this world! We arrived cold, tired, soaked from the rain & starving. The owner/waiter took us inside & lead us upstairs to a stunning private seating area. It was quiet at the time of night we arrived, so we were the only customers inside. He lit candle for us at our table & turned up the heating for us. The kitchen area was clean & tidy, the decor is beautiful & the owner couldn’t have been more accommodating. We love the food here and the owner/waiter is a lovely guy. All the premises by the river in amsterdam have a policy you must spend a certain amount because the rent is so high on these premises due to the popular location, the staff are not being mean or unfriendly when they ask you spend a little more to sit & eat in, so please do not focus too much on the negative reviews, give this place a try & make your own judgement, because as returning customers…. We love it! Thank you for the excellent service & food, we will be back again next year :)

It's not at all that bad as in the reviews. The staff was not rude, they just looked tired. I took fries and juice and they were good. They don't serve hot drinks in the evening and you can pay with both cash or card.

Nice terrace on the canal. But the food is of poor quality and the toilets very dirty (which says a lot about hygiene in the kitchen...)

The food is nice , but please it is way too expensive and not worth the money. Can you not charge so much for a can of coke.

A really nice cafe for brunch/lunch! Toastis are delicious and the fries are amazing (very salty though, so beware if you like bland fries). Staff was super friendly, helpful, and quick. We had no fear that we would miss anything we had planned because the staff was super quick. Pancakes were a little crispier and not as fluffy as some other cafes nearby, but I think that is a plus for the more savoury Dutch pancakes. Would definitely eat here again!

Eetcafé bredero; super leuk aan de Amsterdamse grachten top personeel (Sercan) heeft ons op en top geholpen houden zo heren, veel liefs uit Amsterdam.

Essen nichts besonderes, Mitarbeiter brauchen ein bisschen länger. Preislich definitiv zu teuer.

Questionable, but not too horible. - You can only pay by cash. - I don't think it's nasty - You can smoke outside and usually there is space. - The price for beer is NOT okei, 44cl (I assume, they don't have lines on the glasses) costs 6.50, but a mixed drink (Gordons&Tonic, etc.) is priced at 8.50 which I find okey. It's up to you, but service was quick and normal, so you have to decide for yourself. I find the reviews too strict. After all, it isn't too special honestly.

Kellner war nett, aber 4€ für 0,2l Cola ist viel zu teuer. Beim Van Gogh Cafe gab es 0,5l für weniger Geld.

More like 1 1/2 stars: - dirty glasses - no silverware/napkin with meal unless asked - high price - one set fries way too salty, other barely salted - "salad" with the burger (as described in menu) = just the normal lettuce and tomato that should be ON the burgers but next to it - only accept cash (not pointed out before, only tiny sign in the window, far away from he terrace - in Corona times!) + spoke English + rather friendly waitress, but clearly new to her job (place was not busy) Tldr: if another place has an opening or there is a snack wagon nearby, don't bother.

Kellner sehr unfreundlich, lässt einen nicht aussprechen und wirft einem die Rechnung ohne verlangen einfach hin, außerdem ist das Essen/Trinken sehr teuer. Jedoch ist das Essen Geschmacklich in Ordnung (nichts besonderes)

One of the worst services I have ever experienced! The waiter was extremely unfriendly, he didn’t let us ask a question and gave us the bill before we even requested it. Also it’s completely overpriced. For a crepe we paid around 12€ and it wasn’t even that good. You can get a cheaper crepe at another place. Overall the food was ok but I recommend you to go somewhere else.
