Panini was amazing! The fresh orange juice and smoothies were excellent. The location couldn’t be better—right across from the canal cruise departure point and just a short walk from the Anne Frank House in the Jordaan area. A perfect spot for breakfast or a quick refreshment while exploring Amsterdam. Toilet is available

We visited this cozy little place Cafe three times during our visit. Very accommodating and friendly staff, especially for our needs. We were able to hang out there without feeling pressured or rushed to leave after complering our meal. The food was very delicious and well presented. The restaurant is right beside the Anne Frank building, and as an added convenience, you can also purchase tickets to go on the river cruises at this location!! We will definitely go back here if we visit Amsterdam in the future!

This café offers truly excellent service and enjoys an ideal location along the canal, right at the departure point for boat trips and a stone's throw from the Anne Frank House. It's the perfect place to take a break in a beautiful setting before or after a cultural visit.

I’m honestly impressed at how slow the workers moved, I have never seen people move at such a snail pace. It was painful to watch. Service was bad. Do not go here!

The place itself is fine, but the staff made the experience quite exhausting. There was a lot of joking around and loud banter, which may be fun for some people, but it became a bit overwhelming for someone who simply wanted to sit down, eat, or have a drink in peace. The atmosphere felt less relaxed than expected, and overall I didn’t enjoy it as much as I hoped.

A small café in the Jordaan neighborhood, right next to a canal, with outdoor tables offering a pleasant view. The menu is short but sufficient for a quick snack or appetizer. Service is relatively fast and prices are reasonable. You can buy tickets for the canal boat tour at the café. A very friendly young woman from Mexico served us.

The staff couldn't be bored more. No smile, no welcome, very slow. Both people working were only talking to each other, complaining about their shifts and work day. Cup Cakes wrapped in cellophane. Average coffee but high price (€5,10 for a tall cappuccino). Kitchen was closed, several items on the menu were not available. They make their money with non-returning tourists who wait for their time-slot at the Anne Frank-House next door. Positive note: Sockets to charge your phone in every booth. Would not recommend.

We ordered drinks and there were nine of us. We went out to the canal for a very short while and then came back with three people to use the toilet. Apparently, the rule here is: if you don't order anything, you have to pay €1 to pee. Fine, that is their choice. But the man clearly recognized us as customers and made us pay anyway. That is just petty and not customer-friendly at all. For us, it is simple: we are never coming back here.

I found the restaurant, which is part of the Smidtje Canal Tour, inviting, beautiful, and well-organized – with clearly structured areas like the bar, kitchen, and reception. There were many tourists coming and going, some just to use the restrooms. Despite this, the staff remained calm, though they weren't particularly friendly. The food was good, and sitting in the back of the restaurant was significantly more pleasant and somewhat quieter. Thank you.

The bar was incredibly boring. There's nothing to recommend it except for the terrible service. They act like they don't know what you're asking for, and then when you leave, they speak to you in your own language. They even charge you to use the restroom, and when you get the bill, the card machine asks for a tip, which you try to select but it won't let you. You have to enter the amount or select a percentage that it indicates—a complete rip-off.

Stopped for a coffee before visiting Anne Frank house… Coffee tasted like the worst diner coffee in America that’s been sitting in the pot for a week and this was a cappuccino… Cost €4.10 in addition they charge a euro to use the bathroom totally a tourist trap. Do not go here.

Service rude and unprofessional. Not made to feel welcome at all and spoke about amongst themselves while we waited. Rushed to leave even though they made us wait for 10 mins before serving. However further patrons after us, locals, treated completely differently with no restriction on length of stay. They are the closest option to Anne Frank House unfortunately. Dont waste your money

The hot chocolate was delicious. It seems to be run by a yellow cruise boat company, and is a place to stop by while waiting for the boat. It's ok to just eat and drink.

The bar is lovely. Good service and delicious pastries; the coffee is fabulous. It's the perfect place to kill time or wait to see the Anne Frank House, or to wait for someone going there. Clean and well-maintained.

Very handy for Anne Frank. Lovely slice of apple pie for €4.80 and +€1 for cream. I thought this pricing was very fair for Amsterdam and being right next to one of the biggest sites.

Delicious croquettes!!!! Some of the best I've tried in Amsterdam, affordable prices, the girls who served us!!!! 10/10, the only (not so bad) point to highlight is the door to the men's restrooms, it doesn't close 100% well but from there on out, everything was great, the girl with her beer-cup holder technique!!!! 👌🏻

What a beautiful place! Located across the Amstel and one of the 9 streets of Amsterdam (across from the boat tour), the café is a little lower than the street level, which makes it warm and cozy. Laughter and good humor are present within the establishment, the waitress speaks a little French and makes humor with her customers, which made our tasting experience very pleasant. If the hot chocolate and the chai latte are delicious, the carrot cake is divine! An incredible taste pleasure!

I loved this place!!!! We feel so good there! Welcoming, cozy, pleasant, friendly... Top dishes but a little expensive. Really nice music and atmosphere. Accessible sockets for consumers. Very pleasant staff. Despite all this, next to Anne Frank's house it's impossible not to think of the history of the neighborhood.

NO recomendaría este restaurante a nadie. Llegamos como familia de 5 personas para sentarse dentro del restaurante. Luego fui a usar el inodoro para que un miembro del personal se acercara groseramente a él y tuviera una actitud masiva al declarar inodoro solo para clientes o 1 € de cargo. Le expliqué que era un cliente de pago y señalé a nuestra mesa durante 5. Luego continuó groseramente y abruptamente me dijo “no tires de la puerta así” y se fue al bar. Lo que me dejó avergonzado y confundido. Caminé de regreso a mi mesa para que la misma señora gritara desde detrás de la barra “está abierto” y luego continué hacia el baño. Bueno, cuando entré al baño, estaba en total shock el estado del lugar. Papel tisú usado sucio en todo el piso, orina alol en el piso. Sumado a eso el olor más terrible que me hizo mordazar al instante. Cuando volví a la mesa, la camarera vino a tomar el orden. Mencioné educadamente que los baños pueden necesitar una limpieza. Ella también respondió groseramente “ ok bye” básicamente despidiéndonos de la mesa y el restaurante. Toda mi familia no podía creer lo grosero que es el personal y pensó que era una broma al principio. Después de darnos cuenta de que son serios y cuando nos íbamos, la camarera quiere empezar a gritar a todos en el restaurante que “tenemos a Karen’s aquí” mientras hace gestos de insultos con las manos y los dedos hacia mi familia y mis hijos. Estamos llevando esto más allá, en breve escucharán a mi representante.

Este café, vizinho à Casa de Anne Frank, é muito agradável de se estar e acolhedor. Ele fica exatamente em frente a um dos belos canais de Amsterdam. Para dias de Sol, tem até um terraço na frente da fachada. Tem um cardápio variado de café da manhã com croissants. Tem sanduíches grelhados, baquetes grelhadas, sopas e alguns doces também. Como cafeteria tem diversos tipos de cafés, inclusive com licores. Banheiro e wi-fi gratuitos para clientes. Atendem em diversas línguas, incluindo português do Brasil. Os preços são convidativos, sem exageros. Vale a pena curtir a espera para o museu aqui.

Be careful with the sandwiches, they are small buns with something on top and a lot of lettuce, a scam for Tourists. The only thing that is saved is the breakfast.

We were visiting the Anne Frank House and my aunt fell in the busy crowd. Natasha from Dialoog Cafe came out to help us. She brought us a chair, bandages and a towel to stop the bleeding. She was incredibly kind and helpful. I look forward to eating there because if they have staff this lovely I imagine it is a great place to dine. Thank you Natasha.

The lady with short hair was so horribly rude. I ask for a glass of wine while my husband stood behind me. She kept saying only that to the point i had to say is that not alright which then she responded with well there’s two of you. She also just was so rude to the others in the cafe. Nice coffee house located next to the Anne Frank house. We had a coffee and a cake, both were pretty good. Dog friendly.

We were early for the tour of Anne Frank house so called in for coffee and a sandwich. I think the waiter may have been new as was a little unsure of things. Wife had the soup which was nice. I ordered a grilled sausage sandwich but got a smoked salmon one. I ate it as would have been too long to change. It was tasty. Basic fare and I’m sure there are better places nearby

They were about to close, guess that’s why the pizzas were bad. Coldish and stone hard! Red wine in glass tasted bad (giving the second star for the glass itself). Although the staff was nice and helpful (first star for them). Music is awful! We were too hungry after Anne Frank, otherwise would check the reviews and not enter at all.

We went to eat breakfast but we never had our order, even if we waited for a long time while we were the first customers in it. Moreover, we reminded the waitress of our order, who answered it will soon arrived but nothing came. We don t recommand this restaurant, even if it s near Anne Franck's house.

We popped in for a coffee before visiting the Anne Frank house. Staff were all very friendly & chatty even gave us a list of places to visit. We accidentally left a couple of bags behind, so we went back after our museum visit and there were our bags. A waitress had run after us to return them but missed us. So grateful. Mark & Jo.

5 stars for Pauline! She’s extremely warm and pleasant and chatted with my family for sometime. We just ordered coffee (latte and vanilla latte) which was good. It’s a great place close to the Anne Frank house. It has seating by the canal and it’s a nice place to hang out and watch boats go by.

Coffee comes out of a machine, tastes terrible. Super expensive too - a latte and two pain au chocolate was €11.80. Would be okay for the price if barista made the coffee.

Highly recommend this cafe! My daughter and I were looking for a nearby cafe to chill before our Anne Frank House tour. We stumbled upon a cosy cafe called Lunchcafe Dialoog, which is physically right next door to Anne Frank House. Amongst the crowd at street level, we almost missed the cafe, as it was tucked below at basement level and saw the cafe’s signage purely by chance. Pauline attended to us and got us our drinks fairly quickly. A great thank you to Pauline for your warm and friendly service, and for taking the interest to chat with us for a while.

Llegamos 17:15 y tenian el local abierto con gente dentro y cartel de cerrado. El horario de cierre es 18h. Consulte dentro el motivo y recién ahí me indicaron que para grab and go estaba abierto. Compre dos capuccinos medianos, ambos el vaso 1/8 vacio y de lo servido la mitad era espuma y la calidad del cafe mala, por cierto el precio nada economico 3,8 euros cada cafe. Amsterdam esta lleno de cafes superiores a este.

Excelente lugar para comer un Panini y una bebida fresca. Además de ser un café restaurante permiten el alojamiento de maletas en dado caso que traigas y no las quieras cargar de 9:30 a 15:00, cobrando €3 por maleta. Te sacan del apuro.

Ein wirklich schöner Laden mit gutem Essen und sehr nettem Personal. Preise sind in Ordnung, das Ambiente sehr schön gestaltet. Lediglich ein Minus Punkt gibt es,weil auf dem Caprese Panini für unseren Geschmack etwas wenig Tomaten zu schmecken waren. Aber sonst war alles schön. Vielen Dank, wir kommen gerne wieder. Können wir weiterempfehlen .
