The Fixxx by Maiden in Nieuwmarkt/Lastage

The service was very poor, there was no one there and the waitress went vacuuming during our visit. The people who come to The Fixx only come here for weed. The food, on the other hand, was tasty.

Great bagels, reasonable price and good coffee.

Nice place for a coffee and croissant. The place is warm: velvet chairs, coffee table, climbing plants on the walls and background music. The coffee is good and the price reasonable. In the afternoon, the place becomes a small neighborhood bar. Super nice

Rude staff, extremely slow service, low quality

We had a late breakfast and it was perfect for our needs. Outdoor seating was a bit warm so we sat inside. The service was friendly, the food was tasty and a good value. The restaurant was clean. As a Canadian in Amsterdam for the first time I appreciated that my server spoke English (most do and I still appreciate each multi-lingual person who helped us).

I was at Amsterdam and even with the huge amount of different coffee shops, i found myself here twice. I love coffee shops with comfortable sofas where you can get a good coffee and read. Such a relaxed place and exactly what i needed in the midst of my trip. Thanks

What a great way to start the day. Great coffee, and service.

The service was slow. Very slow. Pretty sure they forgot to do my order till I asked them. I only ordered a coffee, whole thing took me 30min, and they weren’t busy. The two staff members where having a very casual chat behind the bar, in no real rush to do their job.

Stayed at Motel One right next door. Visited The Fix twice at breakfast time. Ordered a bagel with cream cheese and jam. There was no cream cheese to speak of and the jam was a low-grade affair, all pectin and sugar and unnatural stickiness and the bagel, well, should this New Yorker order a bagel in Europe? Probably not. It approximately looked like a bagel. What struck me, however, was how unpleasant the staff was, one tall young man who was obviously in training, didn’t crack a smile, one woman in particular, large and with big hair, sent shivers down my spine she was so ice-cold. She may have been a bot. The espressos were very good.

Somehow we seemed to be more of a nuisance as guests than welcome. I had a tea and a bagel. There was far too much tea in the tea strainer for the size of the cup. Also, there was nothing served with it where I could put the strainer after I took it out of the cup. In the end the tea just tasted bitter. My bagel was very carelessly made. With way too much Nutella on it (which would of course be a plus for others). The fork provided is smeared with Nutella. The highlight was when the garbage can was dragged through the dining room while guests were in the café. From a hygiene point of view, this is really very questionable.

Dropped in for lunch, family of four. Very friendly and accommodating staff and great food.

The two rudest young women work here. One with dyed hair and another with curly hair. Around opening, I walked in and I asked to be seated as they were standing at the hostess stand/desk (never been here before and new to Amsterdam) and the girl replied and huffed "this is not a restaurant" and smirked and then turned to her coworker and shook her head and made a face, which I saw. They were standing there and there was no one at the front of the cafe so asking was logical. I didn't even sit down, I just left. My money doesn't need to be spent here. Nice interior.

Delicious carrot cake and cappuccino! Friendly staff, lovely interior and very spacious.

The coffee improved very well. The iced lattee was superb!

When we ordered we were the only guests. After 30 min, not even the tea was at our table. Then finally after receiving the drinks and food, while eating we were asked to pay. Bowl portion is tiny and lacks flavor. Everything else was decent. Over all not too bad but I wouldn’t come back.

Lovely place with lovely staff, nice place to hang out after a busy day out and about. Fantastic Avocado Toast.

Ik ben naar The Fixxx gegaan met de insteek om daar te gaan ontbijten. Op internet staat namelijk dat je er kan eten. Geen Nederlands sprekend personeel (op zich geen ramp maar wel een beetje apart) en tot onze teleurstelling kon je alleen drankjes bestellen. Verder ziet het er wel leuk uit, wel stil en een beetje donker.

Really chilled out place, friendly staff and charging facilities

Whenever I go it seems like nothing on the menu is available - with the last time ZERO things being available - I actually laughed and walked out. The few times I had food here ( very limited options) the service was painfully slow - 15min eta for a cream cheese bagel. The only positive thing is this is the lobby of a hostel so the seating is bountiful and comfortable - and you can sit undisturbed for a while

It’s actually the lobby of a hostel and is kind of a second business. Nothing wrong with it but don’t go out of your way.

Went in for a breakfast, very simple menu, the cream bagel was not on the menu so we took their breakfast which was very basic for 11 euro - 2 pieces of bread, slice of cheese, 2 slices of turkey, small jam, freshly squeezed orange juice and coffee. was nice, no more.

Not located on a hip or popular street but this place is one of the hippest in town! Race bikes, tent, a lot of greenness, backyard, mixtapes, all the things you expected but also not expected. Food wise they have a very simple menu but yet yummy! Highly recommended!

delicious cream cheese bagels and smoothie bowls. the delivery packaging could be a bit better, the napkin dissolved a little bit in the cheese when i ordered but was easy enough to remove bc of its color

My favorite coffee spot in Amsterdam! Awesome vibe & nice decor. One of these places I could hang out all day.
