Great pancake restaurant with delicious pancakes! The service was very good and friendly, and the kids had a blast in the play corner. What a great addition to Schiedam!

The soup was delicious, but there wasn't tomato soup like the one on our menu, and only two cups were available, even though there were three of us. One of us had to order a baguette. The pancakes were well-cooked and nice and warm. I personally found the crispy grated cheese topping a bit disappointing. I prefer plain cheese slices, but that's a matter of personal preference. The desserts were delicious! The benches were comfortable, and the service was warm, cheerful, and customer-friendly. I think it would be especially good with young(er) children.

A very nice restaurant that truly reflects Schiedam's style. Friendly staff with a touch of humor. The pancakes and ice cream were excellent.

The pancakes were delicious, and with your Rotterdam Pass, you get one free plain pancake per person, so it was perfect! The staff really look at you like you're from another planet (except for one). That could change if you want to feel comfortable. I also think long nails are a definite no-go when working in hospitality. The atmosphere is very cozy and peaceful. It's great that there's a play area for small children, and it's great that there are games you can play at the table (although some pieces are missing, so I'd check). The hygiene could be better; there were cobwebs hanging from the lights, and no matter how high the ceiling is, it's not right. All in all, it deserves a 3 for the coziness and the pancakes themselves. If the service and hygiene improve, it's worth going back.

We were here on a Saturday night and were surprised how quiet it was. The service was very friendly, and the food was delicious! It was also great fun for the kids! Parking was a bit rough, though. Otherwise, a 10!

Had a pancake with mushrooms, bacon, and cheese—it was delicious! A nice touch, too, was the inclusion of a "KOEtjesreep" (Cookie bar) with your cappuccino. Delicious food, cozy location, so 5 stars!

Delicious pancakes and affordable

We recently celebrated my daughter's first birthday here. Everything was perfectly organized, and the staff was incredibly helpful! No question was too much for them. The atmosphere was relaxed, and there was plenty for the kids to do. Highly recommended!

The restaurant design is very cute and kids/family friendly. The food appears very nice. But it tastes rather bland. Price is alright, but not the most affordable. They need more salt & sugar in the kitchen.

Nice children's toilet available for the little ones. However, I think it's a shame that the service was very bad. When I entered with my family, the entire restaurant was empty. We were the only ones, we were not welcomed, we had to choose a table ourselves. After waiting for 5 minutes, I walked to the waitress (she was busy with her mobile phone). I asked her if I could place the order, she nodded, so I did. The pancakes were served, without saying a single word. Not even asking if we wanted something to drink with it. Then we went to eat our pancakes, unsociable, no atmosphere. After half an hour we decided to leave. I went to the cash register, I said that I wanted to pay by card. Once inside, I thanked her, but did not get a word back. I seriously thought this girl was deaf and dumb. From beginning to end she didn't say a single word. So I can see why the restaurant was so empty.

We had an amazing dinner last tuesday at Pannenkoe, Schiedam. One of the best parts? They have a separate play area for kids, which meant we could actually enjoy our meal without distractions 😂. Now coming to the food, it was delicious and full of comforting flavors: Pannenkoek kipsate met frites en satesaus: A Dutch dish featuring a soft, thin pancake topped with tender grilled chicken satay, with rich, peanut sauce, and served alongside crispy golden fries, blending Dutch comfort food with Indonesian-inspired flavors. Poffertjes: small, fluffy, round pancakes, served with a dusting of powdered sugar and a pat of butter. Vegetarische Pannenkoek: A large, traditional Dutch pancake topped with fresh vegetables, lightly sautéed and seasoned. 6 Stuks Veggie Kipnuggets met Frites: Six crispy, plant-based chicken-style nuggets served with golden fries, accompanied by ketchup and mayo. Choco Koe: A sweet specialty pancake topped with white and dark Tony’s Chocolonely chocolate, finished with toasted almond flakes and shredded coconut. Pannenkoek Brie: A warm Dutch pancake topped with creamy slices of brie cheese, sweet apple, crunchy walnuts, and finished with a drizzle of honey To top it all off, we tried their house beers : Pannenkoe Dubbel and Pannenkoe Blonde-both were absolutely fantastic. Smooth, refreshing, and a perfect pairing with the meal.

The food is more than adequate. Both the pancakes and the poffertjes. A manager who can manage the young people would do a better job. All in all, definitely satisfied with the service. Tip. Parking is not the best, easy to do by bike or on foot.

Last weekend we went to Pancake Schiedam for the first time and what a great experience it was! From the moment we walked in, we felt welcome. The atmosphere is warm and child-friendly, with a nice play corner where my child had a great time while we waited for our food.

We've been coming here for a while now, but slowly but surely it's all getting worse. Dishes are disappearing from the menu, service is getting worse, waiting times are getting longer. The fact that the reservation didn't come through didn't really help either...

Though we've been here before, and prior visits have been okay, today's service was abysmal. After a brief welcome and being provided seats, it took quite a while (read: long time), for any order to be taken. After finally being able to order, as it seems knowledge of one's own menu and daily is no longer a requirement in hospitality, it took another stretch to get the appetizers coming. Now I can understand this when there's a full house, as it was less than half the seats were filled though. Maybe closer to a third, if that. After what I can only call a disappointing soup, and trust me when I say I wasn't expecting haute cuisine, it took yet another long wait for the main course to come. The pancakes were good. All in all I know this can be a nice place. It's just a shame none of that was visible on Mother's day. We actually thought about leaving before the appetizers, and to be honest, I wish we had.

Service has gone downhill. I called with a complaint because something didn't go well. I hope they do something about it. I won't be eating there for the time being.

Vreselijke tent! Echt nooit meer Pannekoe voor ons. Bediening uitermate treurend. Tafels vies, wordt niet schoon gemaakt. Wil je wat bestellen moet je naar de bar lopen, terwijl niemand in restaurant zat. Prijzen duur en slechte kwaliteit.. echt zonde van het geld!!!!!

Dit was voor ons eens, maar helaas nooit meer. Ja, het is heel fijn dat er een kinderhoekje met voldoende speelgoed is. Maar daar is dan ook alles mee gezegd. Wij waren er op zondag om 16.30 uur en er waren 3 tafels met klanten en verder was het leeg. De bediening is totaal ongeschikt om in de horeca te werken. Geen goedemiddag, geen fijne avond wanneer wij dat wel zeggen, geen alsjeblieft of dankjewel. Ook moesten wij zelf vragen of de tafel schoon gemaakt kon worden (hij was vies van de vorige klant), of we drinken mochten bestellen en moesten we eigenlijk overal zelf achteraan. En duurde het eten uiteindelijk ook ontzettend lang, dat terwijl het restaurant leeg was. Er kon geen lach vanaf. Ook al zijn het jonge mensen, deze moeten bijgestuurd worden en er moet leidinggegeven worden in deze toko. De naturel pannenkoek voor de kinderen was prima, maar de andere ''specialiteiten'' of bv een pannenkoek kaas, kan je hier beter laten staan.

We were there on a Sunday at 4:30 pm and there were 3 tables of customers and it was otherwise empty. The service is completely unsuitable for working in the catering industry. No good afternoon, no nice evening when we do say so, no please or thank you. We also had to ask if the table could be cleaned (it was dirty from the previous customer), if we could order drinks and we actually had to clean everything ourselves. And the food ultimately took a very long time, even though the restaurant was empty. There was no laughing matter. Even though they are young people, they need to be guided and there needs to be leadership in this store. The plain pancake for the children was fine, but it is better to leave the other ''specialities'' or, for example, a cheese pancake here.

We liked the pancakes. I usually don't like pancakes, but I enjoyed first time in Pannenkoe.

We went on a weekday at noon, although it was not crowded, they sat us at a table at the back since we did not have a reservation. We asked for a coffee and apple pancake and waited for 40 minutes. We wanted to ask for our order a few times but no one spoke to us and they did not even look at us. They avoided eye contact and there was no smile. There were two girls and neither of them were interested. The pancakes were good but not worth 19 euros and that long wait. We wanted to order a few more things but we gave up because we didn't want to go through this treatment. Will we come again? Never!!!

Super nice place to eat pancakes for a nice price. Very child-friendly because they have a nice play corner and a special children's toilet! The children always receive a coin afterwards and can then grab a toy from the vending machine, which is great fun! We like to come there regularly. See you again soon!

Hopende op een gezellige uitje naar Pannenkoe in Schiedam eindigde in teleurstelling. Klantonvriendelijkheid en totaal niet kindvriendelijk, niet eens welkom heten. Enkel een opmerking dat water drinken verboden was en de drinkfles van tafel moest. Nergens te achterhalen dat eigen ‘drank’ in dit geval water verboden is. Op de site en op de vestiging niet gelezen! Personeel dronk wel water, was deze gekocht door de medewerker? Denk het niet! Dubbele standaard toepassen. De pannenkoeken waren helaas droog en de kinderen konden hun kraanwater ook niet nuttigen, waardoor ze snakten naar water. Heel sneu allemaal! Btw, we hebben de Rotterdampas gebruikt! Ligt t hieraan???

The food is delicious. Controls are children without social skills. Not saying a word, not a please or thank you. You literally have to call them, don't look up or around and stand in a corner with their phone in their hand. There is no waving, signaling or eye contact at all. Too bad for such a nice place, with really good food.

Last Sunday we found ourselves standing in front of a closed door with a reservation within opening hours. Phone was also not answered. And there is no response to the email. Ridiculous.

Great pancakes, lousy service! It starts as soon as we enter, where we received no attention at all. People prefer to be on the phone and you are not given a friendly greeting. Especially if you indicate that you have a Social Deal, while that is precisely the idea behind it, to attract people because the store is apparently not doing well. The tone had already been set. 1 lady doesn't want to be there at all and makes that clear, or she is extremely shy, that is also possible. The moment she came to our table we had to ask if we could have something to drink, she didn't seem to be able to talk. She came to the table and kept her mouth shut. Instead of picking up rubbish on the ground, simply kick it away. I think it is unsuitable for the catering industry. - Banana was finished at 5:00 PM, that's not possible, is it? - Icing sugar that was on the table was gone. You notice that when you make a round to refill, don't you? - Waffles my son and wife had were hard and sickly sweet. Probably not fresh. We had one drink and were not asked if we wanted anything else to drink. Apparently they don't want to make money. Upon departure, you are not asked whether everything was to your liking. I wouldn't do that either in such a case. Afraid of the answer? The Pannenkoe Spijkenisse has been gone (bankrupt) for several years. In this current state of service and customer friendliness, I cannot imagine that the Schiedam branch will suffer a different fate. In any case, we will never bring our money here again, never again!

Really delicious pancakes (including 4 flavors in 1), perfectly prepared! The service is extremely friendly, very personal and cooperative. The entourage is very attractive, now nicely decorated in a Santa atmosphere. Highly recommended!

When we arrived it took quite a while before we could get to the table. Once at the table we had to wait quite a while before someone came to take the drink. Due to a hurry, we immediately passed on the pancakes. The pancakes took a very long time in my opinion (waited more than an hour for 4 of the same pancakes). It was quite quiet in the restaurant. After the pancakes we had dessert. Ice cream was tasty, but the waffle with chocolate was very sweet and the waffle was hard. The waffle is said to be freshly made, but I highly doubt that. Was hard and not warm. To me this says enough that it is not fresh. This comes from ready-made packaging from the wholesaler. Also ordered 2 drinks with dessert and they never arrived. I certainly wouldn't go back for the service, but the pancakes were ok. If I ever feel like having a pancake and don't have an appointment, I would try it again. But Service and speed can still be improved. Price of the pancakes and taste are fine. It would be a shame if there were no changes in the speed and service. This way customers stay away!

Very tasty pancakes/poffertjes, even better than other Pannenkoe's. That's why I come there regularly. It's just a real shame that the service is always so bad. If the restaurant is empty or full, they really don't pay enough attention and you can wait 20 minutes before they look your way. I actually always had to walk to the counter myself to be helped. In addition, the price is really too high. You'll spend 15+ euros per pancake.

Worst experience. We called and informed we will pick up a simple banana pancake. But still they made it late after we went to the shop. The pancake was not cooked. The taste was so raw we had to return it. Everything worst experience. Last time we ordered banana pancake and they gave us plain pancake with cut banana separate. Which part of what we want they don't understand??? Worst Worst Worst!!!

We ordered pancakes, poffertjes and a healthy sandwich special. Unfortunately, the pancakes had an aftertaste of previous dishes and the poffertjes were a little too moist on the inside. The healthy sandwich was particularly tasty and is definitely recommended. However, for a pancake restaurant that does not have its pancakes in good order, I think it is quite pricey that a pancake costs around 10 euros.

The food is good, but the service is a disaster. It took 50 minutes before we came to take our order. Obviously after being inside ask a waitress to come. So she came to take the order. But 15 minutes later his colleague came to check what we had ordered because there was nothing waiting in the kitchen. So don't come if you are in a hurry. After half an hour's drive we arrived on the terrace at Pannekoe Sciedam at 7 pm to have dinner in the sun. The terrace was already closed due to wind. There wasn't even any wind, would the signs blow away?! There were still menus and syrup on the table. Waste of petrol and time! Just went somewhere else to eat in the sun.

Very nice restaurant. And there really is a huge variety of pancakes. You even have a pancake with salmon and a special frikandel. So plenty of choice. And lots of desserts. E.g. Sorbets and waffles and brownies and eggnog. I really recommend going there.

Had dinner at Pannenkoe on a quiet Sunday with 4 adults and a toddler. The restaurant looks cozy and the first impression seemed good. Unfortunately, we were not welcomed further. A friendly greeting or some attention was indispensable! We ordered some soft drinks and two ginger teas. The tea is really a mockery. Hot water with a piece of dehydrated ginger. After almost 10 minutes the water still had no ginger taste. After ordering the pancake we had to wait quite a while. Finally served we had to ask again for the cutlery. Unfortunately the pancakes were no party either. They were tough, thin and not tasty at all. One of us ordered poffertjes. These turned out to be raw. Because it had been forever since she had eaten poffertjes, she wasn't entirely sure if it was good. So we 'tested' some of them and they were definitely raw. When reporting the incident, the response was anything but adequate. The response was 'yes, I can make a few new ones, but not all of them', probably referring to the fact that a few poffertjes had been eaten. The entire experience cost us €75 and when we mentioned the fact that the poffertjes were on the bill, we were able to settle it after paying with an offer for a discount voucher. We won't be returning to Pannenkoe Schiedam, so we didn't accept this one.

Went to eat with 2 children (3 and 6) were allowed to order themselves and then the 6 year old just gets an adult pancake ???? The waitress's response was yes, then you should have said that you wanted a children's pancake. Hello, you can see that it is a child (6 years old). They don't see us there anymore.

I was there today, 3 people were there, the first was wrong on Google Maps, the opening time was wrong, the second, the worker was a racist, my pannekoe schiedam was bad, I went to Ridderkerk 3 days ago, everything was good, the staff was friendly, the service was great. I hope that when you settle in Schiedam too, it's just like your house in Ridderkerk. The lady working was not behaving nicely.

Had 2 pancakes today 1 with fresh fruit and whipped cream. That was wonderful. Freshly whipped cream, didn't taste like it was from a spray can. 1 with apple, caramel, and sea salt, which was the best, generously filled with caramel and sauce. And coffee, but that was ordinary, not special or delicious like at Starbucks or another coffee shop They have a play corner for children, various board games such as goose board, Scrabble, etc. So also fun for the kids. Parking is a bit difficult with your bicycle, but there is room for a few bicycles on the side. That's the only downside.

Normally we always go to the Pannekoe in Alphen aan den Rijn, which we are always very enthusiastic about. We now also went to Schiedam with that expectation. When we entered, the staff was standing behind the bar and they couldn't even say hello properly. Before we had ordered the first drink, it had already been 15 minutes while there was only 1 other table in the restaurant. Before we got our drinks, it had been another 15 minutes and they had forgotten several drinks. We then had to ask ourselves to order both drinks and food. Waiting for the food for over an hour. A bad experience everywhere, the staff has no regard for the guests and the pancakes were bland and half cold.

It smells so bad when you enter, very old building. Very badly needs to be renovated. You are asked what you want to drink. When we get our drinks they ask what we want to eat and it took half an hour before we got our food. The server was nice. I wouldn't recommend it

We went for brunch, paid around €55 for three persons. I’ve been coming here regularly just for the pancake, poffertjes and ice coffee. There breakfast/lunch menu is okey, but would choose pancakes in a pancake restaurant. I love the interior, it gives a barn/country vibe which I really love.
