We enjoyed the delicious pancakes, the wide selection, and the lovely atmosphere in the outdoor area (overlooking the canal). The prices were quite high, but that seems to be the case everywhere in Katwijk aan Zee.

I was really disappointed. The pancake was mediocre, the service was poor, and it was completely overpriced in my opinion. To top it all off, the strawberry lemonade was only half full. I definitely wouldn't recommend it.

This is the third time we've eaten here now.. After having to wait a long time last time, everything was arranged perfectly this time for my son's 3rd birthday. We had a nice large square table in a corner near the play area. The boys got their fries and snack quite quickly, after which we ordered ourselves and were able to eat in peace while the boys went back to playing. Thanks for the nice and relaxed evening.. It was top-notch this time. Update: 23-08-2026 Today we celebrated my son's 9th birthday. Food and service were fine.. The only point of attention I have. The coffee for dessert was passed over and past my sons to the person it was for.. Whether it's a hot or cold drink.. NEVER OVER OR PAST CHILDREN. Service star deducted because of this

It took a very long time before we were served; apparently, it went unnoticed that we were sitting there. Eventually, it also took a long time before we received our food, and the kebab was tough and tasteless, and the pancake we had had a weird taste. Too much egg and undercooked. Definitely not recommended!

Great place to eat with children. Without children too, of course, but do keep in mind that there are quite a few children playing.

Perfect family restaurant! We sat downstairs, right next to the door to the play area. This allowed us to keep an eye on the children while they played and waited for their food. The food was delicious, which we hadn't expected at all. We were pleasantly surprised. The meat was tender and cooked to perfection, and the side dishes were well-seasoned. The children's menus are highly recommended; they include a drink, a main course, and ice cream (you get to keep the cup). In the end, both children and parents were full and happy! We wish we had a restaurant like this where we live!

I have truly never eaten such a bad pancake as there; far too much egg in the batter, and on top of that, it wasn't even properly cooked. No, really bad. The service was a bit inexperienced; the table next to me was brought the wrong drink order twice for 4 people. No, for me, once and never again.

We had a delicious meal here with our children. The menu is extensive, featuring grilled dishes and pancakes, and there is also a fantastic indoor playground for the kids. Additionally, the friendly staff serves you quickly and efficiently. We will definitely be back!

If you go there on a Friday at 6 pm, they're already sold out and all you can eat is pancakes. The staff are loitering, loud, unhygienic, and slow. They told you to take the leftover pancakes home, but they threw them away and then brought them out again when you remembered. Disgusting, never again.

Quite pricey, but the food is tasty. Pancakes are delicious for the kids, and they get to choose a nice stuffed animal with a kids' menu.

It was the second time I was here. We waited an incredibly long time for the food. There were 8 of us. We mentioned it was due to the crowds. We also received 2 cold burgers. It was resolved, but we found it very annoying.

Although the restaurant was relatively quiet on a weekday, the service wasn't great. Everything took a while. The portions were okay for the price. The food tasted okay too. It's great for families with children, as there are toys available everywhere and a separate children's area.

Surf&Turf is highly recommended. It's a spot with a direct view of the small harbor.

Perfect to go to with children. The decor and menu are also perfectly fine for adults, so you aren't limited to just pancakes. While you eat, the children can run and climb to their heart's content.

Tasty pancakes and friendly service! Large terrace and also seating inside. The bacon and cheese pancake was partially burnt on the bottom, but the staff immediately came up with solutions and a new one was made for us.

Last week I spent a few days in Katwijk and, of course, we had to eat. Because I have to eat completely gluten-free, we ended up at your restaurant. On Wednesday evening we had a delicious steak with fried potatoes. It was really top-notch. So on Thursday evening we went back to eat. Then the salmon fillet with fried potatoes... unfortunately, after about an hour I became terribly sick... maybe there was a different cook or the food was handled a bit carelessly... we will never know. This is just encouraging criticism. On Wednesday, it was truly nothing but praise.

Had a delicious meal and a lovely place for children

Good restaurant, but not always the quality you get used to. A good menu with well-known hit dishes, friendly service, good, fresh, and thoughtfully prepared food. Tasty large portions, affordable... Fine. Up until today, only good experiences. But today: cold fries, wilted lettuce, dried-out tomato, poorly presented plate. And the excuse is heat in the kitchen? Hot chocolate that tastes like coffee. Skipped dessert and the tip too. Too bad, it used to be good. Going somewhere else for now.

We stopped in there on a whim and received excellent service. The bacon and apple pancakes are highly recommended. The coffee is also great, by the way.

Let me start by saying that the food was good. Nothing to complain about. But when you reserve a week in advance and mention that it's your daughter's birthday... You don't expect an uninviting little table next to the stairs with all the high chairs next to you that the waitress has stacked and scrubbed down three times. Without any decoration whatsoever. (Which was indicated on the website, though). While other tables had balloons... we had nothing. Our first time here, very disappointed. Nothing was explained to us either. Just bam, here is your table. Half an hour later, people arrived and they were given a proper explanation: over there is the children's playground, over there are coloring pages and crayons. We didn't exactly feel welcome, and as far as I'm concerned, I won't be coming back. The food was fine. None of us four liked the fries sauce, but that is probably a matter of taste. A shame, because we heard good things about this place. I just don't want to be a number; I want to be served well and expect service.

We were there in April with my cousins and their sons. Portions are big, service was great Server was helpful for my wife ( know no Dutch) wife could not believe the size of sandwich. Great value for price. Worth the trip. Will be back ( have been a few times )

Really good. The Mexican Pancake was superb.

The pancake was tasty, but it tasted a bit like it had been fried in oil. Unfortunately, I got regular cola while I had ordered Zero; I realized it too late myself, otherwise I would have pointed it out. Not a disaster for me, but it comes across as a bit 'sloppy'. Otherwise, a nicely decorated terrace and parking practically right outside the door on a weekday.

Cozy kids' restaurant. Wonderful play opportunities for the children. However, it took a long time to get the food. Also, I mentioned the children's birthdays when making the reservation. Nothing was done about it, even though they saw the children unwrapping presents and really celebrating their birthdays. Furthermore, there were no high chairs available, even though we had requested them. Why not just ask when making the reservation then?

The food was okay; it was especially fun for the children! I found my apple and cinnamon pancake very greasy, the butter was dripping off it... that was a letdown. Furthermore, the service took a very long time. So, great for the kids, a bit lacking in terms of quality, but then again, you pay for that. Because the prices are surprisingly reasonable.

Had a tasty bacon and cheese pancake (I thought) and the same evening it came right back up. It really was the food, nothing else, bad, nothing else to say, and the friend I was eating with was also deathly ill that same evening.

Large outdoor and indoor area, comfortable seating in the basement, we'll definitely go there again for a meal, pancakes with ham and mushrooms, not a huge portion but it was enough for us.

What a (large) restaurant. They can really accommodate quite a lot of guests. There were 18 of us, and if you can serve a pancake to all of them at the same time, I think that's impressive. We placed an order. They brought one extra portion of Haasate. We returned it, but unfortunately the staff did not remove it from the bill.

A fabulous restaurant with very friendly staff, even when the tables were full. The food was excellent and the atmosphere inviting. The price was very reasonable. I still remember the delicious pancake. A great tip for families, too. If I'm ever back in Katwijk aan Zee, I'll definitely eat there again.

Nice place to enjoy a good meal. Entertainment for the children has also been taken care of. Highly recommended: the Mediterranean Steak! The pancakes here are also very tasty! Reservations are recommended.

Before a Sefa concert in Katwijk, I ate a delicious club chicken pancake, fresh from the batter bowl. Tender chicken, fresh vegetables, nice topping. Service was simple and quick, beer was tasty. All in all, a solid 10+.

Yesterday we went to dinner with six people before heading to Solder van Oranje. Tentje was recommended by someone on the shopping street. You can order various pancakes. They also have platters. Something for everyone. We all had a starter and a main course. These were served quickly, and the time between dishes was perfect. The prices are reasonable. I paid 46 euros for a starter and a main course with two drinks. What stood out was the cat, which I believe belonged to the restaurant – super sweet. There's also a play area for the kids. I'll definitely be back!

Celebrated our children's birthday. Great service and a nice place!

A group of seven people. The table wasn't cleaned upon arrival, the drink order wasn't quite right (you ordered Coca-Cola Zero and Sprite and got Pepsi Max and 7Up...that's quite different, so just mention that when ordering), and then you waited 45 minutes for your main courses, which were also served about 10 minutes apart. What a shame! The food, however, was delicious! Beautifully presented plates and ample portions. But there were a few areas for improvement!

Cozy place, but the heating seemed to be off and it was a bit cold. Downstairs there's a play area for children, while upstairs is quieter. The service is friendly, although a little disorganized. The pancakes are very tasty and there's a wide variety of flavors. Worth a visit.

The food here is quite good. It can get quite busy on weekends, though, with lots of running and crying children. 😅 Maybe it's quieter during the week? Highly recommended!

Always a great restaurant; downstairs they have climbing frames for the kids, making it perfect for a quick dinner with friends. However, we were there early on Saturday evening (5:00 PM) and didn't get our food until 6:30 PM. It's very busy on Saturday evenings, and the service is truly excellent. It's a successful business, but one thing: perhaps a larger kitchen would be an option? So people don't have to wait so long for their orders.

It was fine. It was packed with screaming kids, but we had a delicious pancake kebab. Maybe not a good idea to go there on a Saturday night. Something went wrong with our order, and we ended up waiting 48 minutes. Furthermore, the location gets 4 stars because the food and the ice cream (Dame Blanch) were really good.

We had a great meal yesterday! The indoor play area is also great for the kids. We'll definitely be back.

Last night, the four of us ate here for the first time before going to see the musical "Soldaat van Oranje" (Soldier of Orange). We all had pancakes. Delicious. For our main course, we had a break-and-go sandwich with dips. It's a lovely, charming spot by the harbor. It's also a spacious location. There were also a few Pieten (Black Petes) walking around yesterday. It was all very nice. The staff were friendly and helpful. 💪👌👍🍀

It was busy because of Sinterklaas' arrival. The staff handled it well. The pastries were delicious, and we got a decent slice. The decor is cozy and inviting. There's a play area for younger children. And every table had a bowl of gingerbread nuts. In short: highly recommended!

A wonderful place for families to dine out. There's a large indoor play paradise, as well as a lovely, well-organized play area for the little ones. The pancakes here are also really good, unlike the average pancake restaurant. Besides pancakes, they also have other dishes on the menu, such as grilled meats, which are also delicious. The staff is super friendly and very child-friendly. We've been here several times and would love to come back. Highly recommended.

We had pancakes with ham, cheese, and mushrooms, as well as one with banana and chocolate spread. Both pancakes were delicious, fresh, and large. Highly recommended if you're ever in Katwijk aan Zee.

Besides the fact that both the pancakes and the meat menus with fries were delicious and well-prepared, it's a fun place to eat with children. Coloring pages, crayons, and an indoor playground—something for everyone. It's amazing that all the dishes were served at the same time! We had six adults and three children, one of whom had earned his swimming certificate. After checking his certificate and receiving all the attention he needed, he got to choose a gift. Fantastic, what a concept! Nothing but happy faces! Thank you for the wonderful evening!
