We got married here, and everything was arranged perfectly from start to finish. The entire day unfolded in a relaxed manner and exactly as we had hoped. The venue was beautifully prepared, and the drinks and snacks were also excellently taken care of down to the smallest detail. The atmosphere, the location, and the hospitality made it complete. You can leave the organization to the team with peace of mind; they think along with you and ensure that you don't have to worry about anything. That gave us the space to fully enjoy our wedding day. We have nothing but praise for 't Wantveld. Highly recommended!

Unfortunately, we had a disappointing ending here after a lovely day at the beach. We had a reservation for 19:00, but unfortunately, it started to blow at 18:00, so we decided to see if we could sit down a little earlier. Upon arrival, our table was still occupied, but the table next to it (exactly the same one) was free; however, it was absolutely not possible for us to sit at the other table. Eventually, we were able to sit inside for just a drink, only to be immediately addressed by someone shouting angrily that we were not allowed to sit inside. After explaining that we had been placed there to wait, we were finally able to get a drink. Although it took well over 35 minutes before our order was taken and we received our drinks. At 19:10, we were finally allowed to go to our reserved table (the table next to it was still empty). We were a group of 6, and one menu was thrown onto the table, leaving us to figure out the rest ourselves. When ordering our food, we asked several times if fries were included with every main course, and this was confirmed; bread would even be included. One person asked if the included fries could be upgraded to truffle fries for an extra fee, of course. But this was absolutely not possible! The only option was to order extra fries. But then we would have one extra portion of fries; this seemed unnecessary to us, but the wait staff paid no attention to that. Two of us had ordered the mussel pot, and these people were both seated at different corners of the table. When the food was served, the wait staff was standing at the wrong table, which had already been eating for quite some time. The mussels arrived in one large pot, and the wait staff placed it on the table without explanation. Upon inquiry, it turned out that this pot was for two people, while there were also pots for one person. After calling the wait staff back (which took some effort), we asked if two smaller pots were possible, and she went to check. A little later, she returned with the mussels divided between 2 plates, and we had to make do with that; as a result, everything was cold within 5 minutes. The rest of the orders didn't go quite right either. The fries that were supposed to come with every main course turned out to be one small bowl for 6 people; we never saw the bread. After asking if that was all the fries, we managed to get one extra bowl with great difficulty. In that case, a main course costing €25/€35 is quite expensive. The staff never asked if anything was to our liking or asked on their own initiative if we wanted anything to drink. When settling the bill, it seemed impossible to get a receipt, and a pleasant evening was out of the question. In short, what terrible service and terribly unfriendly staff.

Burger completely raw Had to eat it because we waited so long… Drinks only served after food and after asking. All topped with bad service, which yelled after asking where our part of our food and all of our drinks were. But the WiFi for sending this worked, which is nice.

This beach club gets a solid 5 stars from me! ⭐️ We arrived a bit late, but were still received with incredible enthusiasm. That immediately gave us a very welcoming feeling and really made all the difference. The staff is incredibly friendly, hospitable, and goes to great lengths to ensure you have a wonderful experience. We enjoyed ourselves immensely and will definitely be back. Highly recommended! Very good food for a beach bar.

It's a shame you can't hear the sea anymore because of the unsolicited music from the speakers... but the food was delicious!

A perfect end to the evening, a very good XXL schnitzel for the price, lots of side dishes, all very tasty and fresh. My wife had a starter, the server frequently asked about our needs, and the plates were cleared immediately. We were very happy to have chosen this place, with the sea right there and a great place to relax. Stay healthy, friends!

Ordered an avocado smashed sandwich. What a disappointment that is. The menu states: vegetable chips and roasted vegetables. You expect to get a tasty sandwich with roasted vegetables, but no. Not a single roasted vegetable to be seen. We pointed this out to the waitress. "Madam, those are the roasted vegetables." She points to the vegetable chips lying on top. The sandwich is taken to the kitchen. A little later, the waitress returns with the same sandwich and a small container. She says those are the grilled vegetables. How stupid do you think we are? That is just a small container of salsa that you serve with oven-baked tortilla chips. After indicating that we wanted our money back, the employee suggested choosing a new sandwich. I should have done that immediately and admitted that there are no grilled vegetables on the sandwich. I have attached a photo for the kitchen showing what a grilled vegetable sandwich is supposed to look like. 2 minutes later, someone else orders the same sandwich and says nothing about it. It just depends on how easily you are satisfied with a sandwich you paid 15.50 for and chose because of the (grilled vegetables) that aren't on it. The service was 4 stars; I have adjusted this to 2 due to the message above. We won't be coming back here.

A great place to have a meal or a drink in a relaxed atmosphere. The service is excellent and very friendly, and you can sit comfortably. You can often find a place with a cool breeze when it is very hot.

With a large group on the terrace. It went fine, but it was tricky for the wait staff. Pay attention, who ordered what?! But the ladies were patient and everyone got what they ordered. Lovely view of the beach. Great spot to stop for a drink.

We held our wedding here in May. We are still receiving compliments about it from the guests! The quality of the dinner and the service from the staff are particularly frequently mentioned, and we completely agree. They really think along with you beforehand about what is possible on the big day, and the service on the day itself is also perfect. I can only recommend it! We will certainly be dining here more often, because the food is definitely worth it.

How strange that they close their terrace and indoor tables at 6:00 PM when the remaining seats are already full. Don't want any revenue or something?

Reserved by phone. Great table with comfortable chairs. Excellent dinner menu with gluten-free options. The food was top-notch and the wine selection adequate. More organic options would be appreciated. Service: carafe of water! (excellent!). Drank a delicious white wine from Greece. High culinary standard. Recommended.

Reasonable, but way too expensive.

I got an onion soup with a lovely moschito, fat one, in it. When I went there for complain about it they just asked if I wanted a new bowl. When I said no because that moschito could be been cooked in the big pot, they just seems ok with it and I had to pay for the orange juice 4.50€ anyways.

My husband and I had a fantastic meal here tonight. The perfectly cooked flat iron steak and the incredibly flavorful boneless ribs were outstanding. The service was very attentive and friendly. Excellent value for money. We had a wonderful evening, accompanied by a breathtaking sunset over the sea.

Cozy atmosphere, quality food and very pleasant environment.

Avoid at all costs. The kitchen is visible and littered with rubbish and dust; the "cooks" don't wear hats or sneakers, constantly blow their noses and touch their phones, and don't wash their hands after preparing our meals. It's a shame because the setting and atmosphere are pleasant.

We were 3 adults and 4 children and enjoyed sitting on the terrace here, but we were not satisfied with the menu or the staff's flexibility. There was little choice for lunch, and a regular toasted sandwich wasn't even available. 3 of the children ended up ordering an omelet with bread, but there was nothing for the youngest; he didn't like omelets. So we asked for a plain sandwich with, for example, Nutella, but that wasn't possible. Then we just asked for a plain piece of bread, saying we could put some honey on it ourselves. But no, that wasn't possible either!!! Really, they are as flexible as a doorknob here! How unfriendly to customers!

This is a beach bar with a quiet atmosphere, a calm ambiance, and a spacious layout (you aren't sitting on top of other people). Reasonable prices. The steak was very tender, of very good quality.

A cozy place to sit back and relax with something to eat and drink after the beach.

It's not a quiet spot further from the boulevard. Loud, middle-of-the-road music inside and out, while you might prefer the sound of the wind and the sea. A delicious flat white, sure, but the apple pie with whipped cream was definitely not from Grandma Duck—flavorless, factory-made. €20 for two flat whites and one apple pie with whipped cream wasn't worth it. Last time I went here.

The salad was good, but the tomato soup was a cheap, artificial, ready-made soup, costing 35 cents per 150ml and selling for 9 euros. That's robbery. The server seemed indifferent.

The worst fries, we`ve had in a long time. The service was uninterested in us.

We had reserved sunbeds for the entire day. It was 33 euros for the whole day. I was with a friend and we really wanted sunbeds, so we thought it was worth it. Especially since it was probably the last time we could swim in the sea this year. Then we had a parasol that kept falling down, but the sunbeds were comfortable, so we just accepted that. Moreover, the attendant didn't really help us when we were struggling with the parasol. However, we didn't ask for help either, so I couldn't really blame him. In between, we ordered Korean Fried Chicken and bread with dipping sauce, along with an iced coffee and an Aperol Spritz. This was 44 euros. The food was good, though. After we got back from swimming, we wanted to order drinks around 4:00 PM. This wasn't possible. The QR code was no longer active. Apparently, they were having a private party with live music inside and you weren't allowed to order anymore. They hadn't mentioned this beforehand. Moreover, you were suddenly no longer allowed to use the restroom. At one point, they did give in, and you could walk around the back and use the restroom there. However, this wasn't without some insistence. There was also an elderly woman, 91, who was sleeping next to us. She was initially not allowed in to use the restroom, even though she had previously been allowed to. After much insistence, they finally gave in. I find this a strange way to treat your guests. First, you rent two sunbeds and a (broken) parasol, which isn't cheap. Then they boast about the fact that you can order from the sunbeds, but then they close them without telling you beforehand and don't really think about it. It also didn't help that people at another sunbed asked the manager why they hadn't mentioned it beforehand, and her only response was that they didn't know the weather would be so nice either. However, they did know there would be live music. So that excuse is a bit lame.

I was here at the wedding of a good friend of mine. The service was great, the location was great, the atmosphere was great! There was live music and a lot of fun. People danced a lot. Truly a top party💃🕺🏻🥳

Everything was filthy and unhygienic, from the dog water bowl to the ladies' toilets, and then charging €4.25 for a cappuccino doesn't add up.

The food was fine, but drinks were expensive, and we only got one small bag of fries for three people. We asked for some extra, and we had to pay for that.

We've been there twice now and unfortunately weren't thrilled. The menu is quite simple and unfortunately overloaded with meat options. The service seems sleepy and was rather slow and forgetful both times. The music (in the evening) was way too loud, making conversation difficult. The location is great, of course, and it's a nice place for just a drink. For dinner, I'd choose something else.

Het Wantveld in Wijk immediately captivated me. The stylish and inviting decor, perfectly suited to the relaxed coastal atmosphere, is immediately apparent upon entering. I enjoyed an Espresso Martini there – expertly prepared, aromatic, and with just the right balance between coffee and cocktail. A particular highlight was the wonderful ambiance with its sea view, which instantly created a holiday atmosphere. Besides dining in, the restaurant also offers takeaway – ideal if you'd prefer to continue enjoying the view on the beach. A highly recommended spot for moments of pure enjoyment by the sea.

Ordered the 'Strawberry Romanoff' dessert. With strawberries and ice cream, as the menu indicates. €12.50. So you think fresh strawberries with a few scoops of ice cream. What a disappointment. Scoops of strawberry-flavored mousse, one pathetic scoop of vanilla ice cream, a cookie, and a broken chocolate flowerpot. If I had been at De Librije, I might have understood this dessert in terms of price and the amount of food on the plate.

Completely overpriced. Kids box €12.50. The location is outrageous too. Never again.

Nice music, great service and delicious coffee

What crazy prices! Almost €20 for a lunch sandwich! Is there gold leaf in the bread or something? Soup, €9.50! Bitterballen well over €1.60 each and beer 50% more expensive than in Noordwijk! Furthermore, they just leave empty glasses and plates standing around, while the staff has nothing to do (because ordering is only possible via QR). In short, it’s no fun at all to grab a quick bite here. Tip: go to a beach bar on the boulevard, nicer and more affordable.

Very disappointing. According to your website, your opening hours are from 10 am to midnight every day. We arrived at 8:30 pm, hoping to sit down and enjoy a nice cocktail while watching the sunset. That was a bust. The waitress wasn't friendly. We weren't allowed to sit down, and there was nothing to drink. "We close at 9 pm." What's that all about? Half the place was still full. There were tables that were just getting drinks. Thanks for the great service. You want to be a beach club? Forget it. Hang loose.

Just had a drink here. There are few vegan options on the menu, so we looked elsewhere for somewhere to eat.

Every server is different. Most of them didn't seem to enjoy it. I didn't feel welcome.

Service was not very good. Drinks weren't properly chilled. Frozen, ready-made schnitzels were offered at far too high a price. The glasses weren't clean either.

What a fantastic experience! It's a prime example of how a beach club can be both wonderful and welcoming. Great staff, nothing is too much trouble. Top-quality food. And a truly excellent owner with a very sound vision of how to treat staff and who exudes calm and trust. Hats off.

A terrible experience at this "restaurant," avoid it if you're French or a foreigner. The waiters openly mock you or stare at you from behind the bar. Wie immer lecker und ein wunderschönes Ambiente. Wenn wir in der Gegend sind kommen wir immer vorbei. Ob Kaffee, Cocktail oder zum Essen, es wird alles auf den Punkt angerichtet und sehr herzlich serviert.

Durch Zufall hier gelandet, Essen war nicht schlecht, für das Geld hätte besser sein können. Restaurant ist sehr schön und die offene Küche traum.

Elke jaar komen we weer slapen bij Wantveld. Ook deze keer super geslaagd. ‘Room’ service vanaf het paviljoen, gezellige sfeer. Helemaal goed weer.

Leuk lokatie , aankleding ook mooi en gezellig , bedingen is ook vriendelijk en gastvrij, we waren met groepje van 4 man , Eten cijfer geven we een 8 , mischien iets te zoutig maar verder ja goed en lekker Voor herhaling vatbaar, Honden vriendelijk omgeving, Zekker ook in hoog zomer periode.

We have been coming here with our dogs for drinks, food, snacks and lounging for at least 15 years. Lately the food and service have been a lot less than par. We hadn't been there for a few weeks now, and it was completely new. Dogs are no longer welcome after 12 noon. On a beach where dogs are allowed, then you are not being very smart. They will not see us again. Willy Noord, the adjacent pavilion, has new regular customers.

Miserable service, we had to ask for the menu after 15 minutes and then get the waiter again to take the order. The food wasn't good Spaghetti only cooked in water, totally bland taste Veal steak hard Fillet tips are not fried all over and are then cold. The prices are way too high. Not recommendable.

We had planned our visit to Wantveld with the dog via the website of the municipality of Katwijk; The dog would also be welcome here. It was a great pity to notice upon arrival that our dog was not welcome on the terrace. While we were sent away, other guests with dogs were allowed to stay. Very strange. Fortunately, we were all welcome at the adjacent beach pavilion.

Nice staff, food choice, no breakfast, lunch is really not special with a choice other than an egg or croquette. It's nice that the dogs are allowed to be there!

Call on Sunday morning to make a reservation because it was not possible via the website. There is a party, but the nice lady said you are very welcome until 2 p.m.! And how dully the staff present looks at you, or rather looks away. Because they have a party at 2 p.m. Then say that on the phone. From now on I will just walk to another beach bar.

Personeel denkt er goed mee voor oplossingen voor mensen met bijvoorbeeld een rolstoel. De enigste minpuntjes die ik zou kunnen opnoemen is dat er (nieuw?) personeel is die over je heen hangen om de glazen te pakken ipv om de tafel lopen. Er is geen invalide wc.

The service was good, smiling friendly staff. When not being able to answer a food question, they were enthusiastic to find out. When we arrived, we were asked what we wanted to drink without first offering the menu. When you don't know what they have to offer, it's a clumsy 5 minutes - asking if they have this or this or this... My biggest note is that the menu is very vegan unfrienly! Other than fries, you don't have any options. The staff kindly suggested the poke-bowl after checking with the kitchen staff. However, this tasted like fish and was terrible. We did not eat it. The other dishes: a burger and ribs were all to satisfaction (so I was told). Also, the kids' menus were fine (choise from 3 dishes). Fries with a side, applesauce, and 4 grapes :) It's not amazing, but the kids were happy with it and left with a full belly. The prices were a bit high for what we ate and the quality. We paid 140 euros for 4 adults and 2 kids. The ambience inside was better than outside, however... when you go to the toilet, lease don't break ur neck in the ridge in the floorboards, leading to the toilet doors!
