Caïro in Katwijk aan Zee

I ordered Spires lamb chops with Spires' sauce, and I told him exactly what I wanted, like this picture. He said, "Yes, we make it like this." I took the order and went home. I was shocked to find it was just meat, mostly beef, with no Spires sauce. It tasted awful. He charged me around €20, and I wasted my money. I called him and told him his method was wrong. He told me this is Spires; he ripped me off. I don't recommend them. I went to this restaurant and it was a terrible experience. The food wasn't what I ordered. I was sure I wanted sauce, but it was only plain, without sauce. I had a lot of money, I wanted to have more money that I felt wild. Toen ik hem vroeg hoe hij het had gemaakt, lachte hij mij uit. There is a lot of money in your home. I will return to this restaurant later, and I will tell you something later, saying: “We will make it alright.” This is not worth it. I want me to drink. He's making fun of us! Where's the Spires sauce? This neck meat isn't good, and without the sauce, it's a bad order, not what I wanted. I told him I wanted ribs with Spires sauce and showed him a picture of how I wanted them, but he just made it up. I was shocked when I got home to find that the order was different from what I ordered.

I've ordered here many times and have never been dissatisfied. Delicious food. The meat is well-cooked and seasoned. Both the menu boxes and the kapsalon are excellent. Delivery staff are always fast and friendly. Best shawarma in Katwijk.

The delivery person tries to overtake you in a place where that is not possible, and if he just manages to get by without causing an accident, he then gets out at the traffic light to threaten you. Furthermore, the food here is disgusting and you will definitely be in the toilet all day after eating here.

What a bad tent, no help after 20 minutes

The waitress was a bit overwhelmed with us (8 people) and brought some orders wrong, but otherwise it was ok. The food itself was super delicious!!!

Delicious food at home with takeaway from Cairo! Delicious shawarma, shaslick, pizza and my daughter loves the chicken snitzel! Very warm welcome and great food! A household name in Katwijk for years!

Ben and Jerry's different taste and completely melted. Called to ask why the ice cream was circled on the receipt. First 1 then 2 times I get another person on the line with poor or no Dutch and after asking the same question 3 times the phone is hung up. So that's how they treat customers. I've had it happen before that drinking is simply replaced by something else.

Bad place, food is not tasty and service is completely bad. Ordered food, half an hour later they came again to ask what we wanted to eat, they had forgotten us. Sauces are placed on the table in a separate container but look gross. Spare ribs are dry and tough and I have sometimes tasted better at the hair salon. We won't be there anymore.

Ordered food here via Thuisbezorgd. After 1.5 hours the delivery person came and it quickly became apparent that a pizza had not been delivered. Quickly ran downstairs, but the delivery man had jumped over the railing, he was gone so quickly. A quick call and the pizza finally came our way. Received a bottle of wine as compensation, which was nice. Kapsalon was not very tasty and the Turkish pizza had a strange piece of meat and no vegetables and cheese. Still pricey for Turkish pizza at 9 euros.

They take sauce containers from the table and put them in a bucket so that they can be used again.

The service was very slow. I could understand if the Restaurant was full, but just 3 tables was occupied. We recieved our drinks after 20 min, our food after one hour. We had to pay with the card because they couldn’t gave me rest. The food came in big portions and the prices are very good for Netherlands. All the prices in the menu are wroted with ,95 in the end, for example: A Pizza - 11,95€. But they book it as 12€, which i consider it an old trick that is not necessary because we come to eat and leave tips not to buy a washing machine.

Raw shawarma tasted like human flesh. Quite a nice man. Lovely hair salon.

I think I ordered 4 fries around a quarter to 1, it's now a quarter to 2 and it's still not here? I just called and it was supposed to be there within 10 minutes, but I think it's still not there??? So this

The owner of the restaurant is very wonderful and his friends are truly an example of a great person and the service is 5 star. We had a nice time.

Referred to here by a Katwijker. Super tasty food, meat was tender and seasoned, but also a well-filled plate. I feel like the business goes back 20 years, but what nice employees and the owner too. Definitely recommended to come here once.

Food is not always the same quality but they do their best. The orders come with salad and sauce separately, which I really like. I come here a few times a year.

TERRIBLE FOOD! Unfriendly delivery person

Had to wait almost an hour for our order; a supermix sandwich and a pasta carbonara. And that on a Tuesday evening! There was no sandwich with the supermix sandwich even though we ordered a supermix sandwich 🤷🏼‍♀️ I called about this, and they wanted to deliver the sandwich, but we were already eating, so we said never mind, they did apologize.

Leuke restaurant met heerlijk gebakken eten van frieten tot lamskotelet, met warme pita broodjes kan je van alles combineren met uitjes, sla en tomaten. Alleen vind ik dat er te weinig verschillen in salade of bijv. warme maiskolfje worden aangeboden, wat erg jammer is, want dat vind ik nou erg lekker. Dus meer aanbiedingen zou het aantrekkelijker maken. Groetjes.

Bestelling geplaatst: broodje super shoarma werd geleverd zonder saus. Gelukkig zelf saus in huis, maar toch.... Griekse salade: enige Griekse aan deze "Griekse" salade was een beetje feta, 1 stukje tomaat en 3 olijven. Maïskorrels, wortel, ijsbergsla en kikkererwten in een Griekse salade...? Géén komkommer, géén rode ui (überhaupt geen ui)...... Dan begrijp je het niet helemaal als kok(kin), dan doe je maar wat. Was beter gewend in het verleden. Even geen Cairo meer denk..... Dit was gewoon héél erg slecht!

Heerlijk eten, je kan ook goed binnen zitten. De sfeer is goed. Het personeel is vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Prijs-kwaliteitsverhouding zeer goed. Halverwege de avond kwam nog een groep luidruchtige mensen binnen die op een asociale wijze het personeel behandelden. Het personeel reageerde rustig, en bleef beleefd en kalm. Geweldig gedaan

Had een Kapsalon en patat met pindasaus besteld, anderhalf uur te vroeg bezorgd, zonder communicatie. De bezorger stond er gewoon ineens (wel een vriendelijke man). Kapsalon was niet lekker, kaas was niet goed gesmolten en smaakte nergens naar, uitgedroogde shoarma en geen sla terwijl deze wel op de bon stond. Slappe patat. Pindasaus wel prima. Ik denk niet dat ik hier nog eens ga bestellen..

Mooie winkel lekker eten maar duurde wel lang.

Wir hatten sehr leckere Pizza und haben dazu kostenlos zwei Dips bekommen die auch super waren. Wir hatten unsere Tochter im Kinderwagen dabei und waren vor Öffnung dort. Der Betreiber hat uns dennoch sehr nett empfangen und gut bewirtet.

Lekkere late night snack gehaald in de vorm van een kapsalon, fijne grote portie, knapperige friet en ruim voldoende vlees. Kortom geweldig lekker! Super vriendelijke mensen ook !

Geen tent kan tippen aan deze op t gebied van shoarma/kapsalon. De mixed kapsalon is een echte aanrader! Voor een tientje zit je goed vol. Vriendelijk personeel ook. Top tent!

Viel besser als es von Außen scheint! Sehr leckere Pizza, dazu kostenlos Ajoli und Zwiebel Dip und zum Abschluß noch einen Kaffee aufs Haus. Service war super nett und die Preise sind wirklich gut.

Die Pizza Calzone war sehr lecker. Ich würde nicht das Wort "Restaurant" benutzen. Hier wird man recht günstig gut satt.

Ich war dort mit meiner Familie. Wir haben dort 3 Pizzen und ein Burger Gericht gegessen und hatten dazu jeweils ein Getränk. Haben incl Trinkgeld 50 € bezahlt. Hier stimmte für uns das Preis/Leistung Verhältnis. Der Service war gut. Haben mit den Mitarbeitern in Englisch kommunizieren können. Fazit: Gerne wieder dort hin 😀

We hebben daar een heerlijke pizza gegeten.

Hier kun je lekker eten voor een goede prijs, als je jarig bent (of geweest) en je komt hier eten om het te vieren, krijg je een vuurwerk Fontijn en draaien ze happy birthday voor je. Je voelt je gelijk jarig.

Wij komen hier graag, het eten is altijd zeer lekker. Vriendelijk personeel en Sadat is echt een lieverd. Zeker een aanrader!!

Heel erg lekker, precies op tijd bezorgd

Voor de eerste keer besteld. Eten was echt lekker en de frietjes waren zeer knapperig. Zeker niet de laatste keer. Vandaag voor 4e keer een bestelling geplaatst en de kwaliteit ie nog steeds als de eerste. Prima en zeker 5 sterren waard.

Ik ben in veel grillrooms geweest maar deze spant echt de kroon. Het vlees is echt van ongekend hoge kwaliteit en laten we het dan nog niet over de zelfgemaakte pita broodjes hebben! Dit is de vaste stek na een avondje uit in Katwijk, ik zou mij geen andere grillroom kunnen wensen. Hulde aan Saddath en zijn companen!
