Unfortunately, the pancakes were thick and tough; I have never eaten such bad pancakes. The atmosphere was okay and the service mediocre; we sat with empty glasses for a long time but were not asked if we wanted another drink. We will absolutely not be coming back here.

It is a very nice restaurant and the service is very friendly. The dishes they serve are delicious. But one tip: don't sit there if it is above 30 degrees. Because unfortunately, they don't have air conditioning.

Different expectations of pancakes

Had a delicious lunch. Delicious pancakes and great service. Very wide selection; it is very pleasant to sit down here for both pancake lovers and pancake haters. Very nice if you have visited the Grebben Line with the kids, as it is just 2 minutes away.

The service was mediocre as far as I'm concerned. They said they would be with you shortly, but then didn't show up. And then they called a staff member over again to be helped.

I had made a reservation for five children and two adults. We were welcomed in a friendly and spontaneous manner. The children were given extra special treatment. We had a delicious meal. Tasty pancakes, but it took a long time for them to arrive at the table. With small children at the table, it is quite a challenge to keep them quiet. Especially since, apart from a small playground outside, nothing is arranged to entertain the children. Also, the building lacks character for a pancake restaurant.

We came with a voucher (which we have shown upfront to the staff) to get the 2nd pancake for free, and *surprise surprise* the staff charged us the full price, and we got the discount only after pointing that out. We got charged for a glass of tap water (it was 35 degrees that day). The place is huge, but has no spirit, feels a bit like McDonald or another chain. The girls working there look like they are barely 15 years old, they talk sparsely, and behind a polite mask you can sense that they are bored and not enjoying it. Pancakes were ok, but nothing more than that.

The pancake was good this time (last week it wasn't cooked through properly, we have this often here; the middle is soggy, so to speak). The waitress wasn't nice, she didn't manage a smile (she also couldn't place the pancake and the coffee afterwards properly in front of my table companion). This was the case last week too (when she settled the bill); I wouldn't go to the Bijenmarkt again just because of her, such an unpleasant atmosphere! But I have had very nice girls before, so never mind.

We needed to grab a quick, simple bite to eat nearby. Simple and quick doesn't necessarily mean it's not tasty, of course, but unfortunately, that was the case here. It has been a long time since I ate something of such low quality. And if there is one thing I hate, it is paying for food that tastes absolutely terrible. I chose a vegetarian burger with fries. On the menu, this burger was described as a burger with tomato, red onion, pickle, cheddar, and other toppings. However, when the dish was served, it turned out there was practically nothing on it except the burger and a lettuce leaf. I reported this to the staff. The waitress took the plate away to inquire and returned with a slice of cheese and some onion on the burger. Still, it did not match the description on the menu. Because we were in a hurry, I decided to just leave it at that and eat. The bun was a standard soft bun, and the burger itself was completely cold. In the end, I couldn't even finish the dish. The fries were decent, but certainly nothing special. Not so long ago, I ate a vegetarian burger somewhere else that was fantastic: freshly prepared, with crispy toasted bread and delicious ingredients. Perhaps that is why I had hoped to get something similar here. Moreover, the ordered cola turned out to be Pepsi. No, that is not the same. We were actually in the mood for something sweet as well, but the dessert menu consisted mainly of the usual combinations of ice cream with whipped cream. Apple pie was on the menu, something we normally enjoy eating, but after the disappointment of the main course, we didn't dare try it again. To be honest, I suspect the pies come from the freezer and are not baked fresh. Incidentally, there were three of us and everyone ordered something different. Unfortunately, no one was enthusiastic about their dish. That really says enough. I do want to emphasize, however, that the staff was friendly and helpful.

I ate at De Bijenmarkt in Veenendaal today. The food was fine, but what I saw regarding the cleaning was concerning. A waitress cleaned multiple tables in a row with the same cloth, without rinsing or replacing it in between. In doing so, not only were the tables wiped down, but the syrup jars on the table were also wiped down each time. Subsequently, the same cloth was put away and later used again by another employee. A few minutes later, I saw another employee pick up the same cloth to "clean" a bottle, cleaning even the inside of the cap with that cloth, after which tables were cleaned again immediately. I did not see any cleaning agent or disinfectant being used. As a guest, this gives me little confidence in the hygiene. I understand that I do not know all internal procedures, but what I observed did not strike me as careful or hygienic.

Food: The Betuwe pancake with cherries. I didn't look in the kitchen or ask, but the berries were small, tasteless, and seemed to come from a can. For €19.50, I expect a bit more. The pancake was too thick and moist (from the juice in the can of cherries?!). The ice cream and whipped cream served with it were fine. Service: Friendly and attentive Atmosphere: Modern and somewhat impersonal, that's how it felt. Clean and tidy. The outdoor terrace didn't invite you to sit outside; it lacked atmosphere.

The pancakes are meh; for a pancake specialist, they are below par. Ingredients are meager; the salami topping consists of 4 small slices… The cheese topping is the same, though there is plenty of onion. The staff is polite and the service is prompt. So it seems more a matter of policy than unwillingness.

Modern and relatively expensive pancake house. The food was certainly not bad, but not really tasty either. No play area for the children, but there was an activity book with (poor quality) pencils. A positive point is the spacious layout of the restaurant.

The food was good, but the service was poor. The staff was very young and inexperienced, and there was no flexibility regarding a voucher we wanted to use. The prices were quite high!

Okay, maybe you should stick to pancakes at a pancake restaurant, but the stew and fries were inedible... Lukewarm cat food with more sauce than meat. If I want canned food, I'll go to the supermarket. And the fries were mediocre, too. Otherwise, it's an okay place, although it's still surprising that there's nothing for kids to do at a pancake restaurant. Once, but never again, anyway.

Nice modern style pancake restaurant, food is good, services is good, prices normal, they have a small walk from there restaurant, a hour walking, you will need boots because a part is through grassland, where cows can be, the walk is nice a past a few old forts from grebbenberg lines, and the museum, so take a coffee and appelcake (taste good) with whip cream and when you back take pancakes orso, from the museum you can find longer walks, so go will be nice afternoon

What incredibly polite and friendly staff! We enjoyed the coffee and pastries. The atmosphere and decor are also truly fantastic! We'll definitely be back once the poffertjes are back on the menu ;)

Booked tonight for my birthday with 6 adults and a 3-year-old girl. We have eaten here quite often to our full satisfaction, but tonight was really different. The order was taken around 6:30 PM, and around 7:30 PM we asked where our pancakes were. They arrived almost immediately after that, but what stood out was that they weren't very warm. Not cold enough to complain about, but not really hot. After eating the pancakes, we had to wait for someone to come again, and finally, at 8:05 PM, we asked someone if we could order dessert... that was possible, and at 8:20 PM they were brought... we were still eating the dessert when suddenly a platter with the bill was placed on the table with a request for payment. When we asked what time the restaurant closes, the answer was... '8:30'... at that moment it was exactly 8:30 PM... while the last bites of dessert were being eaten, we just paid in the meantime and quickly got up.... Sorry, we had to wait well over an hour for our pancake, but eventually we were required to pay quickly while we were still eating.... We got the impression that there was far too little staff.. tables were not cleared we had to keep asking ourselves if we could have another drink, or if we could order something.. this is so not our experience from previous visits. Very unfortunate because we enjoyed coming to your place.

We went to eat here on a Sunday with six of us. It wasn't busy at all, which surprised me. There was a lot of choice, but then again, not really. The pancake was thick and just cooked, not nicely fried. And I also found the price relatively expensive. I know better pancake restaurants. It's just that I happened to be in the neighborhood right now.

Had a tasty meal, good service, served quickly, and nice and quiet during the Early Birds discount times between 16:00 and 17:00. Ample parking and a small playground for the kids on the outdoor terrace.

The only downside was the dry bread with the soup. The rest was genuinely a 10 plus.

We had made a reservation for 7:00 PM. We were allowed to choose where to sit ourselves. After waiting for half an hour, no one had yet come to clear the table and take our order. Even when they came to the table next to us, they didn't look our way. In the end, we just left to eat somewhere else.

Bij aankomst was het heel druk. Vriendelijk ontvangen en (anders dan sommige beoordelingen) werden we vlot en goed bediend. Eten was goed.

Staff very friendly. They were covered in bright spotlights, which was a bit unpleasant. I found the children's pancakes very thick and only just cooked. In addition to the ingredients on the menu, my pancake also contained onion, tomato, olives and lettuce, which was not necessary for me. My mother-in-law had the Italian pizza and spent half the night in the toilet. So not a great experience.

This has always been a great location for us when you are on the road. We have been here before and came here with some regularity. Unfortunately, a half-cooked pancake on the last visit. There were exactly 10 raisins topping. You have to ask for icing sugar and then you get a few sugar sachets. What's going on here? These seem like wrong cuts to me.

Pannenkoeken afgehaald, dus géén recensie over sfeer of bediening. Enige wat ik kan zeggen is dat de bestelling juist en op tijd verwerkt is. Met bijna tien euro voor een naturel pannenkoek en 1,5 per toegevoegd ingrediënt is het niet goedkoop - ook niet de duurste, maar toch best aan de prijs. Zeker bij afhalen staat dit bedrag nauwelijks in verhouding tot de kostprijs. Vooral met kaas was men nogal zuinig geweest. De pannenkoek zelf was kleiner dan ik gewend ben van andere restaurants (en ik ken er wel een paar!) en had een vreemde structuur. Ietwat dik, maar zoals anderen al omschreven een beetje rubberachtig en alsof het al voorgebakken was of machinaal gegaard was. Niet vies hoor, maar echt beduidend minder lekken dan bij concurrenten. Is het slecht? Nou nee, maar zeker door de verhouding prijs/kwaliteit en beduidend betere alternatieven, kom ik hier niet snel terug.
