Pannenkoekenhuis De Bijenmarkt in Wijk 05 West

Modern ingericht pannenkoekenrestaurant met ook andere gerechten op de kaart. We hebben hier via social deal een driegangenmenu besteld. We konden hiervoor zelfs op een zaterdagavond reserveren. Bij aankomst was het heel druk. Vriendelijk ontvangen en (anders dan sommige beoordelingen) werden we vlot en goed bediend. Eten was goed.

We had made a reservation at 6 p.m., we had ordered a plate with baguette, had to wait a long time and then immediately ordered the pancakes. We only had to wait a very long time for the pancakes at 7.30 p.m., the service was poor, they should have deployed more staff.

Staff are not managed properly. They're all just doing something. If you have made a reservation, you expect to be taken to a set table. No, is she looking for an empty, uncovered table? She sends us there and makes us wait a long time. Other set tables remain empty. After a long wait I ask if it is possible to order. When the pancakes arrive, someone has to quickly come to the table and think.

Pancake and dessert were very tasty! Hot chocolate is not recommended.... that was literally a bowl of warm water, with a brown color. Didn't taste good... also no whipped cream to make it a little better. So that was a big disappointment... We didn't make a reservation on a Saturday, but luckily they still had a spot!

Spontaneously stopped by on the way home from vacation for something to eat around 6 p.m. Small outdoor playground for kids 4+. Beautiful location, well cared for inside and outside. Food was tasty too. Pancakes well prepared and not too expensive. Better than the mac that is also around the corner 👍

De bediening was traag. 2,5 uur daar gezeten en 2 keer naar de bar moeten lopen om te drinken te bestellen en voor een toetje.

Unfortunately not a good experience here. It wasn't very busy. Our drink was taken quite quickly, but it took 20 minutes for it to arrive. When we asked this waitress to order the food, she indicated that she could not do this but would send someone (completely fine). After 10 minutes, still no one, we asked this young lady again. Someone came right away and took the orders. When we asked if our son could also have a coloring page like the children behind us, the response was sullen and something was thrown on the table. After 45 minutes we asked where the food was. The waitress indicated that she would go and have a look, but my friend mumbled a little too loudly that we shouldn't whine so much. She soon returned with our food. We didn't think the pancakes were very special, but one was undercooked. Please indicate this to the waitress. She took it back and I got a pancake back without my garnish. We ate it anyway, since we were really done with it and were really hungry by now. At checkout we were asked if everything was satisfactory, we indicated that this was not the case and we considered it a disappointment. To which they said yes, it is just a pancake house, not a fancy restaurant. Sorry, but not again for us...

Staff very friendly. They were covered in bright spotlights, which was a bit unpleasant. I found the children's pancakes very thick and only just cooked. In addition to the ingredients on the menu, my pancake also contained onion, tomato, olives and lettuce, which was not necessary for me. My mother-in-law had the Italian pizza and spent half the night in the toilet. So not a great experience.

Bij binnenkomst gemeld bij serveerster, niet gereserveerd. Prima hoor, zoek maar een plaatsje. Daarna 25 minuten gewacht op bediening. Dan houdt het op. Blijkbaar willen jullie geen klanten. Stomme is dat ze links en rechts wel zaken uitserveerden maar onze tafel blijkbaar maar niet in het gezichtsveld krijgen. Ik merk de laatste keren al vaker dit moeizame gedrag. Voor ons is de maat nu vol. Op naar pannenkoeken restaurant Hugo’s.

This has always been a great location for us when you are on the road. We have been here before and came here with some regularity. Unfortunately, a half-cooked pancake on the last visit. There were exactly 10 raisins topping. You have to ask for icing sugar and then you get a few sugar sachets. What's going on here? These seem like wrong cuts to me.

Pannenkoeken afgehaald, dus géén recensie over sfeer of bediening. Enige wat ik kan zeggen is dat de bestelling juist en op tijd verwerkt is. Met bijna tien euro voor een naturel pannenkoek en 1,5 per toegevoegd ingrediënt is het niet goedkoop - ook niet de duurste, maar toch best aan de prijs. Zeker bij afhalen staat dit bedrag nauwelijks in verhouding tot de kostprijs. Vooral met kaas was men nogal zuinig geweest. De pannenkoek zelf was kleiner dan ik gewend ben van andere restaurants (en ik ken er wel een paar!) en had een vreemde structuur. Ietwat dik, maar zoals anderen al omschreven een beetje rubberachtig en alsof het al voorgebakken was of machinaal gegaard was. Niet vies hoor, maar echt beduidend minder lekken dan bij concurrenten. Is het slecht? Nou nee, maar zeker door de verhouding prijs/kwaliteit en beduidend betere alternatieven, kom ik hier niet snel terug.

Sit and eat comfortably in a sunny dining room. Service was excellent. Not pushy and knew what she was talking about. Food arrived quickly, was well cooked and neatly plated. The Betuwe pancake with warm cherries and ice cream is highly recommended. The spicy chicken shawarma pk too. Kids tasting (pk to decorate yourself) is a nice addition to the menu

De ambiance van dit restaurant vind ik nog steeds geweldig. Ruime zitgelegenheid en netjes. Toch vraag ik mij af wat er gebeurt is met de kwaliteit van eten! Vroeger kreeg je een pannenkoek carpaccio, met goede evenwicht tussen de ingrediënten. Nu krijg je voor hetzelfde een hele hoop sla een beetje carpaccio en kaas moet je zoeken. Pijnboompitten? Niet echt gezien. Dit punt met een steeds dezelfde kaart, maakt dat ik volgende keer bij de andere pannenkoekenrestaurant in Veenendaal ga eten. O ja een kinderijsje ziet er niet echt uit voor kinderen. Al doe je er wat spikkels op ofzo.

This is what they would bring. After 10 minutes nothing. Pannekoek was cold, but I brought in cutlery and syrup myself. After ordered the pancake dessert. I ice my partner's apple pie with whipped cream. Ice cream was brought but the apple pie never came. I think this is super bad. This is the first and last time I come here. Instead of a hot pancake we could eat cold pancakes.

Ate pancake, salad and cheeseburger. The Burgundian pancake is a disappointment. Sparsely topped with salami and ham. The dry sausage is nowhere to be seen. Made use of the social deal. Excellent menu and quality of the food. Unfortunately, the service from the staff was substandard. It was not super busy and a bit later in the evening and there were quite a few staff walking around, but we were regularly 'forgotten'. Other tables were served earlier while they came in later, no placemats or cutlery on the table and there was a lot of time between courses. The staff was more busy tidying up and cleaning than with their guests which is what it's all about.

Reserved for twenty people. We were given 2 tables in a quiet part of the restaurant. So that other guests could experience less disruption from our conversations. Also a special request for one of our group regarding food due to cancer damage was resolved. Friendly and attentive staff. Pleasant atmosphere. I thought non-alcoholic beer was very pricey. Any downside. Playground for our grandchildren was great fun.

Not a pleasant place to eat a pancake! There were also flies on and around your pancake. The floor was also dirty and attracted flies. Pancake was not really warm and the promised topping, which was supposed to be fresh fruit, was also disappointing. So we were back on the street quickly and won't be going back there anytime soon. Solve the problem if possible or close the case, so to speak.

Het was verschrikkelijk! De service was slecht, er werd niet gevraagd om drinken en er kwam niemand buiten dus ik moest telkens vragen om onze bestelling op te nemen. Maar het ergste waren nog de honderden vliegen die zowel binnen als buiten op en rondom je eten zaten. We konden niet genieten van het eten maar waren de hele avond vliegen aan het verjagen. Voor ons 1x maar nooit meer!!

Cozy eatery for an "easy" bite. We (2 people) ate a pancake and dessert. For dessert I had a limoncello ice cream and they had specially made an iced coffee for my wife.

Had a nice meal with 12 people. Good pancakes but the dishes with fries were also very tasty. Also had great service.

To start with, I recommend booking a table. There's plenty to choose from on the menu. There were 6 of us and the waiting time was about 20 minutes. Everyone was delighted with the taste of the pancakes (both sweet, gluten-free and savory). The staff nimbly maneuvered between the tables and the number of guests increased and decreased. The atmosphere, the food and the service are fine, but we [my wife and I] had a bottle of sourcy blue 0.28 cl, bottles cost 3.35 euros per person. That is an outrageous price, a crate of 28 bottles costs 9.95 euros to purchase, which is approximately 0.35 euros per bottle. I understand that money has to be made, but this is ridiculous.

We made a reservation in advance by telephone, shortly before arrival. 2 adults and 2 children (8 and 6 years old) Ate 4 different pancakes: 1 with a special diet with bacon (without egg), 1 plain, 1 farmer's pancake, 1 savory pancake.
