The plain pancake was very light and undercooked. The wait staff replied that the kitchen thought the pancake was good. They use a "carousel" pancake machine here. In principle, a cook should be able to bake a decent pancake with this. This cook, however, could not. Our advice: DO NOT GO HERE TO EAT PANCAKES.

Not only do the pancakes taste great here, but the atmosphere and service are also excellent. And all this in a fantastic location on the village ring in Ouddorp. So definitely recommended.

We had a good cappuccino here and a portion of poffertjes with it; both were simply delicious, hence 5 stars. The service was also good.

It was during the street fair, so it was very busy, which meant you had to wait a bit longer for the food. I don't think that's normally the case.

The pancakes weren't very tasty. The cheese on the pancake was hard. The order took forever. The outside of the restaurant could have been cleaner. The restrooms, too.

Very nice holiday atmosphere, with delicious pancakes and friendly service. We really enjoyed ourselves on the evening of July 25th.

We had tried to make a reservation, but received no response to our message. We decided to try our luck anyway and weren't disappointed. Even though it was full, we got a table without any waiting. Ordering and payment are done directly via QR code, which I think is really great. The drinks arrived very quickly, and the food came promptly as well. We've rarely eaten such delicious pancakes! We'll definitely be back. Update: We went back a second time. The food was excellent again, and the service was quick. However, some of the rather young staff members could use some training. Generally speaking, one shouldn't gossip in front of other guests, no matter how rude some of them are. As a German speaker, I usually understand Dutch quite well 😉.

We went there for dinner with our two children, and it was absolutely perfect! The woman who served us was so warm and friendly! My daughter fell off her chair, and the waitress immediately came to ask if everything was okay and was very concerned about her! :-) I wish the restaurant all the best, and we will definitely come back when we are in Ouddorp again! ❤️

This week, six of us dined at the pancake house. Unfortunately, our visit was very disappointing overall. My wife's pancake was exceptionally bad – we've never had such a poor-quality pancake, especially in a country known for its excellent pancakes. The kip satay was also undercooked. The schnitzel stroganoff had practically no sauce, and there was hardly any paprika in it. The schnitzel itself also looked like a ready-made product from a packet. On a positive note, we were pleased that the undercooked kip satay was not charged. Dear owner, please take the time to try all the dishes on offer with friends on a day off – and ask for their honest feedback. Afterwards, you should have a serious conversation with your chef or, if necessary, take appropriate action. If you are the one cooking, it might be wise to hire an experienced chef. Cozy terrace and delicious food !!

Here we go again! :-) I only post if a company truly deserves it. First of all, the food: our pancakes were top-notch, not too big and certainly not too small. The service: as a rare exception, we were given a tour of the restaurant and the kitchen. I am no expert, but things are handled neatly and hygienically. The atmosphere: it wasn't super busy, but there were pleasant people sitting at other tables who I also heard were very tasty. I only heard afterwards that there are new owners at this restaurant; they seem to have things firmly under control! In any case, I would love to come back there again.

We ended up here during a day of touring and then a walk on the beach. The new owner is very enthusiastic, which is nice to see. We sat inside. The menu offers plenty of pancakes. But there are also a few other dishes, just imagine. We received quick and friendly service, and every table received her attention. This makes you happy! They also have a great beer menu! The pancakes were delicious and perfectly cooked. Definitely worth a visit!

Terrible! The worst restaurant I've ever been to. We had to wait an incredibly long time for our food, only to be asked if we wanted drinks when we arrived. The pancakes weren't cooked through, were incredibly thick, and the toasted sandwiches were cold. Never going back.

The food was unfortunately very bad. We had to wait a very long time, while everyone around us who sat down later was already getting their food. When we indicated we wanted to leave (after waiting over an hour), we were scolded and told we had to pay for our food. We finally waited (even longer), but the food was extremely disappointing. The pancakes were dark on the bottom, tasteless, and disgusting. When they apologized for the wait and asked if we enjoyed them, and we said "no," we were ignored. Not recommended! Such a waste of such a charming village.

We were there for dinner today. Even though there was no salad on the menu, they conjured up a very tasty salad with chicken for us. The service was also very friendly.

A disappointment. After 40 minutes without our pancakes, we were told that we had been forgotten. We preferred to eat somewhere else.

Not nice, you have to order and pay with a QR code, very impersonal. If you want coffee or ice cream, you think, forget it, the person who brings the pancake doesn't speak Dutch, it's a shame, it used to be a nice place.

We initially went here to eat. We had our doubts as soon as we walked in. Instead of helping us lift the stroller, the waitress almost walked us over. After ordering our drinks (it wasn't clear what language the staff spoke), we looked at the menu and decided to order. When the same waitress from before came with our drinks and set them down in a very rude and unfriendly manner, we decided against it. Furthermore, our 3-year-old son would have liked a straw with his apple juice. The waitress said she would bring one. The straw is probably still on backorder. We stuck to the drinks and will never return. The name could be changed to "de Slappe Hap" (The Slappy Bites).

The Pannekoekenhus opens at 11 a.m., but you can't order food until 12 p.m. We opted for pancakes. They were delicious and looked great. We ordered the classic style with cherries or strawberries. We also ordered Nutella. The menu has many options, both sweet and savory. We would eat there again. The weather was great, and we sat outside. Being in the middle of the pedestrian zone is also a good thing. There's always something going on, or a musician might drive by. That shortened the wait for our food. The small shopping streets all around are also lovely.

We were there last weekend. The food itself was really delicious. The service was moderately friendly to slightly unfriendly. We were shown to a table where the sticky edges of the glasses from the guests before us were still on the plate. The entire dining room was empty. Unfortunately, no one even thought it necessary to quickly wipe them down. It's a shame, because otherwise it was really delicious.

0 stars. Very poor service. The backyard is a disaster. We waited 1 hour 45 minutes for 4 pancakes. The batter was raw. One pancake was completely forgotten. I can't recommend it to anyone. Most of the negative reviews speak for themselves. We left at 8:20 p.m. without eating.

We enjoyed a delicious pancake on the terrace in the afternoon. The only downside was that we found it a bit odd when the first person at the table finished their meal and their plate was immediately cleared while everyone else was still eating.

Ordered a pancake with fruit and ice cream at this pancake house. The wait was 27 minutes during off-peak hours. The pancake was slightly burnt on the bottom. The digital menu shows two scoops of ice cream in the product photo, but only one scoop was delivered. Coffee from a fully automatic machine. The relaxed atmosphere in the downtown pedestrian zone is worth mentioning.

The backyard terrace is unkempt, and the front is a classic tourist street. Real Dutch is different. Visited due to lack of alternatives.

We were here on Friday evening. We made a reservation online in advance. But it would have been possible without a reservation. There were still plenty of seats available outside. I don't know what the inside was like. We received a very friendly welcome. The drinks arrived quickly, and the food we ordered arrived 20 minutes later. We chose a pancake with apple and bacon and poffertjes. Both were of good quality and tasted good. The price/performance ratio is very good. You can sit in the sun or in the shade under trees and parasols.

Wir waren am Freitagabend hier. Wir haben vorher online reserviert. Es wäre aber ohne Reservierung auch möglich gewesen. Es waren draußen noch genügend Plätze frei. Wie es drin war, weiß ich nicht. Wir wurden sehr freundlich begrüßt. Die Getränke kamen schnell. Und das bestellte Essen 20 Minuten später. Wir haben uns für einen Pfannkuchen mit Apfel und Speck (9.95 EUR) und für Poffertjes (6.25 EUR) entschieden. Beides war von guter Qualität und hat gut geschmeckt. Preis Leistung sind sehr gut. Man kann in der Sonne sitzen oder im Schatten unter Bäumen und Sonnenschirmen.

Together we had schnitzel and spicy chicken with a beer and a soft drink. The schnitzel was reasonable and the spicy chicken too. For the price it was fine. Nice sitting on the terrace in the sun. The restaurant also has an inner garden. All in all a reasonable location to eat something.
