We arrived at the terrace to have a drink before our visit with our dog (a miniature Kees). He barked a few times because it was so busy. Suddenly, the waiter came outside, yelling at the entire terrace, asking us to get lost with our dog because a "customer" was paying with a complaint. We hadn't been treated so rudely in 40 years! Other customers even told us not to spend another cent there and left. A rude lout, a real disgrace, because we were customers too, and a little courtesy was due. As an animal lover, I would never spend a cent there. Truly the rudest person I've ever met. Our dog has noticeably better manners!

Nice pancake restaurant. When we visit Valkenburg, we usually enjoy pancakes here. Plenty of choices and reasonably priced. Despite the crowds, we were seated quite peacefully. The service was very fast and friendly. Everything looked well-organized. Both drinks and food were served within a reasonable timeframe.

More like Pannenkoeken Purgatory. For a place that specialises in pancakes, it was rather disappointing. The pancakes were both overcooked and undercooked at the same time. Not enough toppings either. As for my soup, it was too salty and the bread was so thin, I thought that I only had ham.

250 different pancakes to choose from: sweet, savory, exotic, and even half-and-half. Very child-friendly. Before eating, there are art supplies at the table, and each child receives coins with their meal, which they can use to choose a toy from a small shop. There's a large playroom with climbing frames for older children and toddlers, soft building blocks, and XXL interlocking blocks. The service is good and the food is delicious. There's also a diaper changing facility. The only thing that was a bit unpleasant was the condition of the playroom and the musty smell.

We had a wonderful time at Pannenkoeken Paradijs Cauberg! The terrace is a lovely place to sit, and the staff is incredibly friendly. When we wanted to order, a staff member pointed out that there were a lot of wasps outside at the time. She really helped us and immediately offered to set up a table inside so we could eat in peace and quiet – very thoughtful! The menu is extensive, with something for everyone. The presentation of the pancakes is beautiful; a real treat on your plate. We also love the concept where children receive coins with their pancake to exchange for toys; it makes the experience extra fun for the little ones.

Crowded. Felt like fastfood chain. Outside the busy road makes it hard to talk. Inside a lot of echo. We left after waiting forever

Unfriendly staff, and even though they saw our glasses were empty, they never came back to ask if we wanted anything else. We didn't eat there for the reasons mentioned above, but what we saw didn't look appealing either.

The staff was friendly. But that's about it. The pancakes we received were of very poor quality, comparable to a piece of semi-edible plastic. The cheese and mushrooms had no flavor; on the other hand, the bacon was so salty that by the end, you'd have consumed well over triple your daily recommended amount. We can only assume the pancake came straight from a machine. Fortunately—and rightly so—the prices weren't exorbitantly high. In short (if it wasn't already clear), we wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone.

We were here for lunch on Monday. My daughter wanted to have poffertjes (Dutch pancakes). She ended up choosing the strawberry version. A normal portion with a generous handful of strawberries. Ditto for my friend. The pancake (bacon and cheese) was also delicious. The only thing really missing from the tables was powdered sugar. They do have syrup. The service was excellent. The prices were also reasonable.

Pancake paradise. A bit chaotic, but cozy. We were asked three times if we wanted to order anything while waiting for our main course. The pancakes were warm, not really hot. Otherwise, they were tasty. One appetizer arrived minutes later than the other two dishes. A shame.

Unfriendly service. We were still looking for a table for five people and wanted to ask if we could possibly connect tables. Before we knew it, a grumpy employee showed up and immediately said, "They don't push tables together, ABSOLUTELY NOT!" We then had a nice meal somewhere else, and it was delicious.

Too bad I got the wrong pancake. Otherwise, the pancake was fine. It's a shame there wasn't any powdered sugar or syrup on the tables; it felt a bit dry. Also, if you sit outside, you're on a very busy road.

It's a misconception that there are vegan options. Even the vegetarian options are very disappointing: the pancakes are made by a machine that cleans so thoroughly that you can taste the bacon flavor right through your plain pancake. It's a disgrace that they dare charge for that. A minimum requirement is that vegetarian or vegan dishes are prepared in a separate pan.

Unfortunately, the pancakes were burnt, and the other pancake was raw on the inside. Due to time constraints, we couldn't request a new pancake. We didn't receive a discount in the end. Very disappointed with the service and the pancakes.

I went there twice today during my visit to Valkenburg. The service is excellent. I received quick and friendly service both times. I don't particularly like their location. They're located along a busy main road, which means constant exhaust fumes, noise, and dangerous situations. The first time I sat outside, but the second time I deliberately sat inside due to the aforementioned circumstances. The pancakes were tasty, but I didn't think they were perfect for a pancake paradise. They were very floury and undercooked. I enjoy fancy pancakes, so I know what I'm talking about. Therefore, I won't be coming to Valkenburg specifically for pancakes. The quality of the pancakes at De Pannekoekenmolen in Gulpen is much better.

What a cozy place, that Pancake Paradise! The pancakes were delicious and there is so much choice that choosing was almost difficult. Everything was served quickly and with a smile. Really a big compliment for Leon, what a topper in the service. Friendly, attentive and just super warm. We enjoyed it and would like to come back again!

Net aangekomen in Valkenburg liepen naar het centrum en gingen bij een pannenkoek restaurant naar binnen en vroegen wat die enorme rij voor de deur was. De serveerster zei dat die enorme rij voor de kerstmarkt Gemeente grot is. Ojee wij wilden daar ook heen. Ondanks de drukte ook binnen zei ze ik zal even kijken op internet of er nog kaartjes zijn. Dat was niet het geval. Ze ging ook even bij de Fluweelgrot kijken en zei daar is nog wel plek maar loop er even naar toe. Vaak laten ze je gewoon naar binnen gaan. We wilden koffie drinken maar zeiden dat we eerst gingen kijken en later terug kwamen. Inderdaad konden we naar binnen. Na ruim anderhalf uur kwamen we terug in het pannenkoek restaurant. Bedankten de serveerster voor de hulp en bestelden nu bij de koffie ook een heerlijke pannenkoek. Ondanks de drukte binnen viel de wachttijd mee. We hadden nu wel trek na al dat gewandel. Het smaakte prima.

We got our pancakes and there were only 3 of them and there were 4 of us. I said another pancake was due and then the waiter said oh I'll go take a look. Then he comes back 15 minutes later with someone's order and says something went wrong and it will take another 10 minutes. I saw a few people who work there behind the bar eating a leftover pancake. Later we heard that this was the pancake from our table. After 10 minutes a pancake comes that was made wrong, there were mushrooms on it but they had to be removed. We bring the pancake back and after a little more than 10 minutes the good pancake finally arrives. 1 drink was offered for the long wait. This was also added to the account at checkout.

Bediening prima. Verkijk je niet in het formaat en de hartigheid van de pannenkoek. Ik heb er overheen gekeken maar je kan evt ook een kleiner formaat bestellen. Ik had een flinke kop soep vooraf dus ik had hierna moeite met de pannenkoek. Voor de mensen die niet van actieve en jengelende kleine kinderen houden…rond zeven tot sluitingstijd (20:00u) is het lekker rustig ;)

The enchanting atmosphere of the venue was unfortunately overshadowed by organizational shortcomings and a lack of professionalism in the service. Atmosphere and reception Upon arrival, the restaurant made an excellent first impression. The decor was fairytale-like and was very reminiscent of the magical setting of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. We were warmly welcomed and quickly escorted to our table, which was nice considering how busy the evening was. Operation Although the service was friendly, we soon noticed that there was a lot of stress among the staff. The lady who took our order indicated that she had had a hard day at work. While this is understandable during a busy period, we felt it was unprofessional to share these personal frustrations with guests. This created an uncomfortable atmosphere and gave the impression that there is little job satisfaction among the staff. During our dinner we wanted to order additional drinks, but it turned out to be very difficult to find service. Students who brought pancakes to tables indicated that we had to wait for specific employees without further assistance. This led to us waiting over half an hour before our order was taken. To eat The quality of the food varied. My apple pancake with ice cream and whipped cream was excellent; the flavors were well balanced and the presentation was neat. Unfortunately my partner's pancake was not successful. The pancake was overcooked, just like the bacon, which negatively affected the taste experience. Our friends ordered poffertjes, which fortunately were of good quality and were described as “delicious”. Organization and payment Payment went smoothly because the bill could easily be split. However, there was also chaos during this process. The fire alarm went off several times, and our waitress had to fix it herself while she was visibly exhausted. In addition, there was a lot of shouting and fuss from the staff, which further undermined the professional image. Final verdict The Pancake Paradise has a lot of potential thanks to its unique atmosphere and attractive interior. Unfortunately, this magical experience was cut short by the obvious stress among the staff, a lack of organization and inconsistent food quality. Sharing personal frustrations with guests and long waits for service were disadvantages that need to be improved. We understand that the Christmas period is a challenging time, but this requires extra attention to hospitality and efficiency. Hopefully the restaurant can work on a better balance in the future so that guests can fully enjoy the magic. Pancake was reasonable but the service was very poor, the boy who brought the pancakes hardly threw the plates on the table, did not say that the plates were hot and could not eat tasty food... we may have wanted a dessert menu but were simply not given and then left after fifteen minutes out of frustration..

Terrible, my waffle was undercooked and my friend's pancake was also very mediocre. You expect tasty warm pancakes, but unfortunately they were dry, cold and not tasty. I don't recommend this.

I ordered the farmer's pancake and that was a big mistake. This was the dirtiest pancake I have ever eaten and that for just under sixteen euros! The pancake fell apart in misery, it was cold and very dry and the bacon was burnt and tough. The pancake really didn't taste like anything. The pancake also looked very unappetizing when it was served. The price/quality is worthless at this pancake house.

We had delicious soup beforehand. We had half and half pancake. Mine was bacon burnt and so was the pancake. Ham/cheese is very tasty. My husband can't stand apple and asked for half and half with ham/cheese and apple/raisins without apple. Does he get the apple without raisins? This is indicated. She indicated that she would make new ones, but the same pancake came back with empty rounds of the apple and a pile of cold raisins. Not really the expected solution. And that took so long that I had already finished my pancake. Don't forget a napkin, a placemat and a can of icing sugar.

The food itself is pretty good, but the first lady who served us was pretty disinterested. And no, I can assure that it's not common for Dutch service. The dining area is pretty big and spacious, which is fine.

The store was very busy due to the Christmas season and the noise level was correspondingly high. Nevertheless, we got a table quickly because the service was really great. The pancakes were also great and tasted very good. Absolutely recommended.

Served pancake for kid which was burned on both sides, returned it and got one with sugar although we asked without, returned it and got the same back just with sugar swapped away, but still present on the pancake. Other pancakes were ok but far from delicious. Apart from this, service was kind and child friendly. However cannot recommend it.

Large with lots of seating, they are really pancakes and not the thin crepes. Dough tasted absolutely musty and when I went to the very battered toilet a mouse came running out of the children's play area. Sorry but that's not okay.

No icing sugar on the table. Never experienced this in a pancake restaurant. The pancake was undercooked and was more like a dry tasteless pizza. So it did not come from the pan, but from the oven..... The warm brown liquid was sold under the name cappuccino. The service was friendly, but it was actually a waste of money.

After a magical visit to the Christmas market in the Valkenburg caves, we decided to end the day at Pannenkoekenparadijs Cauberg - and it was the perfect choice! We felt welcome as soon as we entered the restaurant. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, with a touch of Dutch charm that fits perfectly into the surroundings. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive without being intrusive - you immediately felt like you were in good hands. The menu is a true paradise for pancake lovers. Whether sweet or savory, there really is something for every taste! We chose a savory pancake with bacon and cheese and a sweet classic with apple and cinnamon. Both versions were freshly prepared, generously topped and simply tasted excellent. The dough was just right – fluffy, light, but still filling. Another highlight was the warm Chocomel. This wonderfully creamy cocoa is a real treat, especially after a cold day outside. Refined with cream, it was the perfect accompaniment to the delicious dishes and warmed us up wonderfully. The price-performance ratio is also good – the portions are generous and the quality of the ingredients is impressive. Our conclusion: An absolute must when you are in Valkenburg. Whether at the end of a trip or just for a cozy moment with delicious food - we will definitely come back!

Our first time trying savoury pancakes and it was a decent experience. We tried the nutella-banana, cheese paprika mushroom and mozarella pesto pancakes. Overall good quality of ingredients but the dish could have been more flavourful. Staff were very friendly and the menu is elaborate(so the choice is extensive). The ambience is well decorated and overall a cosy dining spot.

Delicious food for a fair price. You definitely get value for your money. Only afterwards did we discover that we could also adjust the portions due to... our stomach reduction. I took what was left home and enjoyed it at home. Friendly and helpful staff. We will definitely go back there again, but we will have a smaller pancake ;)

Prima plek om te zitten en mensen te kijken. Net buiten de tourist trap achter de Grendelpoort. De kersenvlaai was heerlijk, de koffie slecht. De vlaai maakte dat meer dan goed. Leuke jonge mensen in de bediening.

The service was slow, we had to wait a long time between soup and pancakes. The pancakes were not tasty, one was too hard and too dark on the bottom. Not recommended! This was the first and last time we came there.

Hello, on 26.10.2024 I was a guest in your hotel and I was shocked by the things I saw. The hotel was in a terrible state... dirty to the point of shame! The woman who had to clean our room was extremely rude to us. She had not cleaned our room or left clean towels. She even told us she didn't have to do it. I will never visit your hotel again, I will also warn my friends

We felt very unwanted here. Having to hear several times how bad the employee is. It was too busy, too few staff, etc. One napkin was too much; so we didn't have that. Unfriendly when we wanted to pay. Being yelled at when you want/need to settle the matter is not really nice. And for 'entertainment' a big argument in the kitchen. The pancakes were tasty. But we won't come here again. Very sorry about this experience.
