I placed an order with Papa John's Almere last Saturday, but it never arrived. For almost two hours, I was told the order was "on the way." After 23:50, they stopped answering calls entirely, and my order was never delivered. The payment was taken, but I received nothing in return. This isn’t the first issue I’ve had with this branch, but I always gave them the benefit of the doubt. Unfortunately, this time was a complete no-show with no communication, no apology, and no refund. I’ve tried calling the branch multiple times the phone number doesn't work. I’ve sent several emails, but no one has responded. There is absolutely no accountability. This feels like straight-up theft, and I’m not sure how many others have gone through similar experiences. Avoid this branch at all costs.

Terrible experience. Waited almost 3 hours for my order to arrive. Tried calling multiple times, but they either didn’t answer or kept me on hold with no helpful updates. When the food finally showed up, the delivery person had gone to the wrong address, wasting even more time. To top it off, one of the three pizzas was completely wrong, and all of them were stone cold by the time they reached me. Absolutely unacceptable. This place clearly has no respect for customer time or satisfaction. Would not recommend and definitely won't be ordering from here again.

I paid extra for extra toppings, but received a bland, lukewarm pizza that was completely different from what I ordered. The quality was far below par, and the service also left much to be desired. When I complained about this, they promised me a call back—which never happened. No apology, no solution, absolutely nothing. You don't feel taken seriously as a customer. You pay more and get less. This is my last time at Papa John's, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

The employers are very rude and when they talk with the customers it s looking like they want argue

Today, April 20, 2025, I ordered a Hawaiian pizza online from the Hospitaalpromenade branch in Almere. This means it was mostly pineapple. Well, I counted a total of 16 tiny pineapple chunks on a 30cm pizza! Wow, Papa John's Pizzaria is so SCREWED!!!! And it's not the first time there's been so little on it. I'm not ordering this again! What??... I'm never ordering anything from here again!!!!

came here with my friends for pizza and wings, but there was only one chef, who was 20 minutes late with our order. we also had a 1.5L coke with our combo, but they didn't have it, so wasted money... chicken was inedible, completely burnt. pizzas themselves were fine, but the service? really bad

The food can sometimes be good. Unfortunately, their service could be much better. Ordered a liter and a half of Pepsi and they gave a small can. When contacted they said they would bring a new one and they never came back and calling the restaurant didn't work because no one answered. Last time I order here. Money wasted.

After several good results via Thuisbezorgd.nl, we started ordering our pizzas via the PapaJohn's site ourselves, often with a nice discount. The pizzas taste great, although you don't always get all the extras on the pizza you order. However, we have not ordered any more in recent months. Reason: On November 16, 2024 we placed an order including 2 tubs of ice cream (€ 9.99 each). After some time we received a call that the ice cream was not available at that time and that we would receive the money back within a few days, but so far we have not received the money. I called several times, I sent emails to the branch itself and to the head office and I even visited the branch where one of the employees gave me a telephone number with the request to send a message via WhatsApp and he would ensure that the money would be refunded that week. So far we have not received anything, and that is reason for us not to order any more and to write a review now. The pizzas are tasty, the service is bad.

I ordered pizzas from this place and it came after 2 hours. I had to call them many times before they delivered it. And finally when they delivered it, it was cold and soggy already. I tried calling them to complain about the food, and they are not attending the call anymore. Money lost.

Ordered almost 2 hrs ago, neither received any pizza. Nor are they picking up the calls. I’ve called more than 15 times! Will claim my lost 25€ even if I have to escalate. Never ordering again

I never want to go to Papa John's again, that was the worst food I ever had.

Shittiest pizza delivery place unlike any papa johns I’ve ever been to around the world. They charged 11 EUR for delivery however still have not delivered the pizzas. Every time I call them I hear it should be there in 5 mins.. the scooter of the delivery guy broke down. Please don’t order here. The owner should really shut this place down or spend in improving service.

Sorry, but really not edible. Pizza pepperoni tasteless. The second pizza with chicken jalapeno and rancho sauce is like taking a sip of seawater, so salty. Stuffed crust??? No idea what that would be for 4 euros extra. No stuffing seen. Completely recommended and a waste of money. Never again, there is much better available in Almere

Until recently I was quite enthusiastic. However, of the 4 types of ice cream they always only have one. Still get 9.99 back from them. Now I had saved 20 points. So free pizza according to the site. No, the lady on the phone said. Only 4 euros discount and if I wanted to order. No, sorry lady, I don't pay cheaters and certainly not if you address me with such a snide tone. Too bad about the nice conversation with the delivery person the other day, I would certainly have given him a nicer employer, but maybe I also know someone for you. Papajohns...never again!

I ordered my pizza through the site for pick up. If I arrive at the agreed time to pick up my pizza, the branch is closed.... My money gone and no pizza.

I worked at Papajohn for half a year, I left there in May 2024. Still haven't been paid for May yet. I text the boss every day to send my money and every time he has an excuse. When he ran out of excuses, he blocked me on everything. Never come here, work bad with pay. And I will definitely report it!!!

Great service, good promotions, flavors and always great service! Cheese pizza, shawarma pizza, chicken and cinnamon rolls are our favorite! Looking forward to it again now. Delivery fast, neat, clean and on time!

I have ordered 2 pizzas through Uber with a note saying no meat, no chicken only veggies. But somehow the notes were not reflected in their system. We got 2 veggies with pepperoni pizzas. When I check with the store Harfi understands the problem and he is kind enough to replace with vegetarian pizza. It made my day. Good service.

Fakka with you I wait for my pizza for an hour and a half and I call the restaurant 7 times I can't reach anyone I get a message that delivery is on its way but no one is there

Never again! Went here with my wife for 3 pizzas. After standing in front of the register for 15 minutes, we had to ask if we could place an order. While there were no other customers in the shop. Prices are almost twice the price of Domino's and not even as good. Would not recommend buying there.

The pizza was disgusting, there was a cockroach and hair on the pizza, we vomited, we reported the problem to the Dutch hygiene inspection services so that they could do a thorough check. This place is a disaster and very dangerous for customers who risk dying from consuming their products.

Food was too late, also it was the least tasty pizza I have eaten so far. The dough was mediocre and the toppings weren't much better. The only plus was that it was warm. Chicken, on the other hand, was fine.

5 years ago I gave this location 5 stars. I am adjusting this now. The order April 25, 2024 8:17 PM Order number: 17903795. A young gentleman on the phone says inaccuracies twice and a delivery man delivering an ice-cold pizza two hours later. You have now lost this good customer. I'm not even going after my money. That is also hopeless, I read in another response.

The small pizza is a nice size if you are not a big eater. Staff were unaware of their own actions. But kindly when I pointed it out to them. The place is not very attractive, but great for takeaway or a quick bite. Pizzas are tasty, haven't tasted the rest yet.

Pizza felt like it was 2 days old. Dry and literally no sauce. Did I just pay 11+ euro for cheese on old bread ? Disappointed.

Ordered dinner for delivery at 18:16. When I was looking out to see whether the courier was already nearby, the courier decided to return to a different street and drive a completely different way. Having called the manager at 18:46, he said he'll call the courier to come back (to my place, which is roughly 10~ish minutes away from Papa John's). 19:16 and still no show. I decided to call once again. To my surprise it was a different courier who managed to come to my place (within 10 mins after calling). Hot food was there so I assume the manager decided to have the order remade as to not disappoint with the cold food, which I appreciated. I gave the manager a third call again to explicitly say my thanks for the manner he has dealt with this.

Has deteriorated greatly in recent years. Last two times the pizza arrived very late, an hour late, and also arrived cold. After calling and insisting a few times, we received new pizzas. Unfortunately, that also took a very long time. Ordered two more pizzas tonight, this time deliberately indicating the time I wanted them in earlier in case they would be a little later again. They suddenly show up at the door half an hour earlier. Due to having to pick someone up quickly from work, the pizzas were still cold. Very very poor time management. If I order them in the afternoon, the timing can be better. I understand that it can't be done exactly to the minute, I don't expect that either. We also did not receive any garlic sauce or pepper, even though this was always the case. For these prices I expect better service. Very unfortunate because I used to be a happy customer, but now I will order somewhere else.

Ordered cold pizza yesterday, I stubbornly woke up to eat it in the night, I spit it all out, my stomach couldn't handle it, deeply sad to deliver cold products, it's only about money, shame on you

Ordered food online and the pizza was cold and chewy and not edible at all. The sides jalepeno poppers and cheese jalepeno were not properly cooked and weren’t edible at all. Had to throw away the food . A total waste of food, Time and money. Would not recommend

We have a fixed order whenever we want to order pizza. We love their hot pepper passion pizza. Their garlic sauce is a nice addition. We always order extra.

They have good pizza no doubt but very bad service. The delivery time was an hour later than promised. When I called they simply said it’s busy. I find that totally unacceptable. They could have at least offered some sort of compensation, instead I got a rude response. So never ordering there for delivery anymore.

De pizza’s zijn echt gruwelijk de all meat pizza 💯. Ik heb er zeker van genoten en is echt een aanrader. Vooral met die knoflook boter saus. Dan ga ik eerlijk zijn domino’s heb ik nooit vlees bij geprobeerd. Dus mijn sterren krijgen jullie zeker voor die pizza Dankjwel voor de snelle levering. Een heerlijke warme pizza nog gegeten. Nog nooit geprobeerd maar, die is gruwelijk de spicey Buffalo chicken Original pizza. De pizzasaus geeft het nog extra taste

Ordered Hawaiian and chicken shoarma. Only 10 pieces of pineapple for the Hawaiian and both the pizzas look really sad and unappetising. Also left a note for the delivery person to knock on the window so as to knock wake the baby up, but that was ignored. It's weird because this location always delivers good pizzas. Maybe they had an off day today.

Personeel op dinsdag avond 9 mei was echt geweldig. Super goed service en veel aandacht voor de gaster tussen de online bestellingen door. Ga zo door!

La pizza choisie était delicieuse avec une pâte croustillante sur le bord et moelleuse. Mais seulement une carte toute chiffonnée pour choisir sa pizza (les autres on disparues soi disant conservées par des clients, dit le pizzaiolo), preparation qui nous a parue tres longue, le pizzaiolo ne nous a pas informés du delai d'attente. L'établissement etait vide mais semblait propre, les personnes y travaillant ne saluent pas les clients et ressemblent a de fantomes. Voila c'est tout.

We have ordered vegan cheese hot pepper passion pizza and veggie via uber eats. The delivery was very quick & good. It was very delicious, hot and spicy. The garlic cheese dip was super tasty too😊 we enjoyed pizza thoroughly after a very long time. It was worth ordering with the papa Johns and will order more in future. Hope they keep up the same taste, ingredients with love😊 Thank you so much papa Johns team!!!

Heerlijke pizza's! Je proeft dat als vers is en de bodem is heerlijk knapperig. Ja, dit is wel een favoriet van ons!

After hearing from American friends about Papa Johns for years, we got one in Almere. Unfortunately it's just the name, because he quality was just poor. Every other pizza joint, be it chain or independent restaurant, in Almere is better.

The pizzas are very good but it's the second time we ordered potatoes tots (more expensive) and when we open the box at home and it was changed for normal french fries (cheaper).

Pizza's werden dik 20 minuten te laat bezorgd, waren ondertussen dus al koud geworden. Qua smaak waren ze wel goed, lekkerste vegan pizza die ik tot nu toe heb gehad. Erg jammer dus dat ze al koud waren! Volgende keer komen we de pizza's liever zelf afhalen.
