Patmos in Wijk 51 Wormerveer

Vriendelijk personeel, zeer uitgebreid keuzemenu, fantastisch lekker eten voor een gastvrije prijs! Op een mooie locatie waar je gratis ‘voor de deur’ kunt parkeren.

Smoezelige tent! Vliegen overal! Eten ronduit slecht! Zat geen Griekse smaak aan! Snap de positieve ervaringen niet? Zijn niets gewend denk ik! Straks weer naar Griekenland waar het eten wel heerlijk is!

We waren een tijdje niet uit eten geweest in Wormerveer maar hebben besloten weer eens naar Patmos te gaan. Een gezellig Grieks restaurant met een hele leuke en vriendelijke eigenaar. We vonden het eten deze keer écht heerlijk. Ik had gevuld gehakt met feta, lekker met gebakken aardappeltjes erbij. Ik denk dat ik wat vaker in Wormerveer ga komen in de toekomst.

Wat bijzonder teleurstellend was het dat wij er bij thuiskomst achter kwamen dat voor een kindermenu van €10,95 n.b.€15,50 betaald moest worden. Dit zonder dat vooraf gemeld werd hoe creatief de menuprijs omhoog gestuwd zou worden. Had dan vooraf besproken op welke manier de rekening gepresenteerd zou worden. Nu hoorden we achteraf bij telefonisch informeren op welke wijze men meende te kunnen handelen. We hadden juist aangegeven dat op medische gronden mijn echtgenoot een kleine portie wenste. Nu hadden we alsnog extra aardappelen, brood en sauzen gekregen. Die laatste 2 genoemde hadden we dan ook niet aangeraakt. Wij voelden ons in de maling genomen en komen daarom niet meer terug. Terug naar Irodeon in Alkmaar waar wij altijd tot volle tevredenheid eten en men oog heeft voor de wensen van de gast.

Nice location on the Zaan. Parking in front of the door is no problem. Somewhat dated interior. It was quiet and the service was friendly and prompt. Not recommended for vegetarians. While, especially in 2024, many vegetarian options are possible within Greek cuisine. Welcome drink from the company: uzo. Food was fine. Not special. Bread with (shared) starter for three people was a somewhat meager white baked baguette. Starter not special. Received good advice when choosing a main course. Meat was good and prepared to your liking. The chef came by the tables twice to ask if everything was satisfactory. Coffee was okay, but it was (in my experience) a ready-made latte macchiato from a vending machine. Just after 8:15 PM the place emptied again and the intensive cleaning and cleaning began with a football match on the mobile. We felt awkward and the cleaning and football noises disturbed us. We paid and continued the evening elsewhere. We suspect that the good reviews are also for the takeaway service. In any case, we will not come back here again.

Called on Monday to place the order for 6 people. Everything was ready at the agreed time on Tuesday. Very kindly received and also very nice that we had ordered a day in advance. What a fantastic meal we had. Enjoy salads, pitas, giros, souflaki kefredes!! Definitely recommended!! Next time we will eat in the restaurant.

Good food for normal prices. The restaurant feels a bit cramped, especially if you are with several people. There was no table for 5 so we had a table for 4 and someone sat at the head. As a result, there was less space for the large plate of meat that was served and a glass of drink was consumed.

Thought the food was mediocre. When serving it was indicated that the squid was not of the quality they normally offer. I think you either take the dish off the menu (temporarily if necessary) or you indicate this when I order it. Prawns were a bit dry, perhaps cooked too long.

Being a regular visitor, my husband and I were at Patmos this evening. Forty-five minutes after the starter, we received the main course, not yet complete! This can happen, but when it wasn't delivered, I started asking for it. Because the food truck festival was outside, at one point we had 2-3 toilet goers walk right past our table right next to the toilet in one minute, which was very disturbing. Because the toilet door was always not closed, this is not fresh either. I think that if you want all those people from outside to go to your toilet, then you should not let your restaurant guests sit at a table there. So we paid the manager immediately after the main course. When he asked if the food had tasted good, I mentioned the toilet goers and that this was very unpleasant for us. It was dismissed with a small measured apology. I think the service is not as it should be and therefore very disappointing. Your dinner is disrupted and you pay a large sum of money for it. Too bad you treat guests this way!😕☹️

The food was great and so was the service. The boss sometimes comes to the table for a small talk. Wishes are fulfilled immediately. The interior around the bar could use a little new paint. I still absolutely recommend it, because it's the inner values ​​that matter.

After a friendly telephone conversation with reservations, we were warmly welcomed in the cozy restaurant. All the staff were super friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. The meat was all nice and tender, delicious. Large portions. We are big eaters, but we couldn't finish it haha. We are pleasantly surprised. We had never been here before, but we will definitely be back!!

Made a reservation through Aggie and that was a good thing because it was packed this Friday evening. Respect for the service because it was so busy, but everything went smoothly and there was still time for a nice chat. Ouzo and coffee on the house and a delicious meal. A small Greek eatery where you get a lot for little. The nice atmosphere has been there for years and little has changed, but that makes it cozy. Friendly staff, including the chef who comes by every now and then to ask if everything was to your liking. Highly recommended for big eaters.

Atmosphere was very homely and warm. It looks small, but the service and owner/cook were very friendly. This one even came to have a chat at your table, just wonderfully old-fashioned, as it used to be. Make time for your guests. The tzaziki was very tasty and tasted as it should. Bifteki is also recommended. You can taste the grill, no crazy fuss. Scoop of rice, homemade fries. Dolmadakia starter tasted good, just way too much sauce and tenderloin was also drowning in the sauce. A tip is to ask for the sauce separately. I always like the coleslaw with it, but this one had a very mild taste and I really like the sour, raw version, but that is a matter of taste. All in all, highly recommended and definitely worth repeating for us.

Had dinner here for the first time this evening to celebrate my husband's birthday. Upon arrival, a UZO of the house was started. There were so many delicious things on the menu. There was actually no choice to make. The owner/cook came to our table and, after asking us what we wanted to eat, advised us on what we could best order. Starter and main course. Every bite was beyond delicious. Just awesome. After dinner I still have dessert because it is so tasty. My husband. Received a firefinyijn in his dessert for his birthday. Because of his birthday. Superrrrrr. Often someone would come and ask if it tasted good or if anything else was needed. Also the owner himself. After paying we were sent back to our table because we were offered something to drink. From the house. It is a. Small space. With plenty of seating. All satisfied customers who enjoy their dishes. I said. This is a kind of family restaurant. That's what it feels like. Clean sanitary facilities. When leaving, everyone received a handshake and a kind word. We all ate too much tonight. Because it's all so delicious. This was certainly not the last time we ate here.

I've been coming here for years. Food is always good, service is always friendly with a touch of humor. Chef always takes a tour of the restaurant and has a chat. I would book in advance because it is busy every day. The decoration of the restaurant is a bit old-fashioned, but they do their best to make it cozy.

One of the best Greek restaurants I've been to so far. The owner and the staff are super friendly, the food is amazing and the portions are generous. If you're lucky and you can sit by the window there's a gorgeous view to compliment the experience. We left it with our bellies full and a big smile on our faces.

Highly recommend Patmos! My husband and I had a great experience here- service was above and beyond and food was just as amazing. We were visiting from the US and staying nearby in Krommenie and happened upon Patmos on our way back into town from Amsterdam. For US guests- they only take Mastercard debits and Euros so have some Euros handy! This was the end of our vacation, so we were low on Euros, but luckily we met a very lovely local family that had been visiting the restaurant for over 20 years and helped us out with a PayPal arrangement! We ended up having some wonderful food and made some new local friends so all was well in the end and would still highly recommend.

Ik heb in veel super gezellige, Griekse restaurants gegeten. Dit restaurant is vrij clean, zonder tierelantijnen. What you see is what you get. Doorsnee Grieks eten, niet heel bijzonder en niet mijn kopje thee. Ik denk dat ze hier wel een succesvol concept hebben. In de zin dat het een goed, drukbezocht restaurant is met een vaste clientèle. Niet mijn type clientèle en niet mijn type restaurant. Niet echt vegan opties en maar 1 vega hoofdgerecht op de kaart. Positief punt is de enthousiaste bediening. Beetje houtje touwtje, maar wel erg vriendelijk.

Heerlijk vers eten, Vriendelijke bediening

Het eten is gewoon altijd top. Het personeel super vriendelijk en ziet er netjes uit. Het restaurant is niet zo heel groot, en het zit bijna altijd vol. Reserveren is geen overbodige luxe. Gelukkig kun je ook afhalen, het eten is er zeker niet minder lekker om.

Wat een fantastisch eten. Zelf had ik de Sofia schotel met meer dan genoeg vlees en sides als aardappeltjes en rijst. De rest van het gezelschap had oa heerlijke Moussaka en een prachtig stuk tonijn. De porties waren genoeg voor iedereen en de bediening erg vriendelijk. Zou het zeker aanbevelen!

Wat een gastvrijheid! Eten is ook voortreffelijk! Wij eten alleen bij deze Griek in de Zaanstreek. Patmos is gewoon de beste!
