What can I say? Everything here is delicious! Because it's close to my work, I come here regularly. Especially in the summer, I like to grab a milkshake or soft serve ice cream after work. The Colmschate Burger is also really delicious and definitely recommended. Plus, the staff is always friendly. 😊

“Fast service” seems more important than quality here. The cheeseburgers (€8.50 each) were barely cooked, as if they were briefly placed on the griddle until just warm and then taken off again. Not properly done, and you don't just taste it, you see it too; the meat was still very lightly browned. For €37 (two burgers, two large fries, and a chicken corn dog), I honestly expected better quality. There was a generous portion of fries, but they didn't have a particularly good taste, so that didn't improve the experience. Additionally, the satay sauce was very light in color, which made the whole thing even less convincing. What strikes me most is that I often read afterwards that the meat here isn't cooked through properly, so that doesn't seem to be an isolated incident. Unfortunately, for this price and quality, I won't be returning.

A huge selection of everything you could wish for in a cafeteria. You could better call it a fast diner. Takeaway or eat-in, it's always ready quickly. And you can park for free. The staff, sometimes numbering 11, are friendly and good-looking—a well-oiled machine.

We don't eat fries often, but when we do, we always go to PvG. Never been disappointed. Great prices, good fries, and friendly staff. It's also a nice place to sit if you want to eat there. Good luck with your new branch at the Boreel!

It was super busy on Friday afternoon. But it was well packed, and more importantly, the food was delicious.

You won't find better snack bars anywhere. The snacks are always perfectly cooked. The staff is very friendly, and there's plenty of seating, both inside and outside.

Yesterday afternoon, after a visit to Deventer Hospital, we had a bite to eat here before starting our two-hour journey home. We've eaten at your company several times in the past, and because the food was always top-notch, and I only snack occasionally because I've worked so hard to lose 25 kg last year, my husband and I were really looking forward to eating there again after our checkup. Unfortunately, this time we were terribly disappointed. Unlike other reviews where people found the fries too bland, ours was overly salty. My husband, who is used to spicy food, had a kapsalon that wasn't only too salty because of the fries, but also too spicy because of the large amount of sambal. We understand that preparing food is a human job, but what we don't understand is that when we tell them the food is too salty, the entire team looks at us like they're burning water. We also find your staff member's comment (you should order unsalted fries next time) completely off the mark. If it were really busy in the store, we can understand why, but we were the only customers at the time. We drove home with an illusion and €24 (the food wasn't worth it), and we'll think twice about eating there again.

I find fries tough and dry, unfortunately, and they don't taste good. The new chicken was good, though. Overcooked, as you can see in the photo, and many pieces were empty (see the end). The middle was also cooked through, leaving it somewhat empty. Such a waste! The flavor is so incredibly delicious!

Paul van Gurp has been a household name for years, and rightly so: the snacks are truly delicious and of good quality. Whether you order a frikandel, croquette, or something else, the flavor is almost always good. However, there are also some recurring drawbacks. The fries are almost always bland and really lack salt and flavor. Furthermore, sauces are often forgotten, and it's common to find a bun missing from a snack that you ordered with a bun. It's a shame that these small but annoying oversights drag down the overall experience, because the basics are excellent. As for the decor, it's fine for a snack bar, but please remove those terribly ugly LED ceiling panels that have been stuck in a color loop for years.

Things sometimes go wrong when ordering via the app. So easy, but then delivering the order to a different table number. That's not possible, very sloppy.

Visited more often years ago, but it still remains a very good cafeteria! Delicious fries, friendly staff, and wide(er) choice of menus. Hint: The 'Loaded Fries Truffle' is highly recommended!

Schnitzel and Bärenschnitzel are definitely not the same. We'll be happy to come back for great soft ice cream.

Ate for the first time, had high expectations given the menu and decoration. Was advertised as 'tastiest burger'. Also had the rasfries. I had a burger with fries. You can't go wrong with rasp fries, but for 9 euros of the 'tastiest burger' it was disappointing. Very bland in taste. As if there was no salt in sight. In addition, it seemed not cooked properly, the texture was too soft on the inside, and the bun was spongy. Woman had hot meat roll. Was also bland, soft bun and very simple. Daughter had loaded fries with cheese and bacon, which tasted OK, but had a very pungent cheese smell that made us all a bit light-headed. And then you just spend 50 euros for the three of you, for this and three drinks. The idea of ​​QR ordering is a nice idea, although this is of course not the most social solution, but I see that this can work well when it is busy. However, I always think that 'tip' is an after-the-fact question and not in advance. Especially if service is available, but actually not, because of the QR. They do have to make some adjustments if we want to try it again. 50 euros is simply way too much money to eat with such setbacks. I don't complain to the staff themselves. After all, they can't do anything about it.

Got fries and some snacks tonight. Unfortunately the fries were not cooked properly. Limp fries, little salt, this was not tasty. The hogweed was also not well done. Too bad, not used to your business. February 24th a new chance. Indicating the previous experience now it was delicious.

Nice meal. Delivered quickly. It's just a bit of a shame that you're sitting in the doors already opening.

Tip: also offer the vegetarian or vegetarian chicken burger as all other burgers. Sometimes we eat eggs and cheese, for example. And different options of sauce is also tasty. The regular vegetable croquette can come back!! That gv is really dirty and we don't really like that fake meat croquette either, very salty. Vega chicken corn and frikadel would be very popular.

I went to Van Gurp today to get food. I made a complaint about the Andriessenplein branch. Yesterday I got croquettes. These were not warm and not fried and 2 were broken. They took my complaint seriously and went to investigate. I received the food I had ordered. and didn't have to pay good service from Paul van Gurp 👍😀🍡

Think, have a nice hamburger. Farmer's burger 'meal', 15 bucks. 'homemade beef burger' according to the description, it will be delicious. Well, anything but that. A dry roll with a slice of frozen factory meat. Mac's burgers have even more structure (and taste). Add a can of tasteless vegetables and good luck. No sauce (costs extra) and virtually salt-free fries, even without sauce. The tastiest thing was the cold salad, which added some moisture to the mouth.

I have lived in Deventer almost all my life, and ever since I was a 5-year-old boy I have been coming here regularly with my parents. Paul van Gurp was the highlight of the week for me then, and it still is now when I order from there. I don't order there very often anymore because I live closer to the Paul van Gurp branch in Andriessenplein, but I felt it was almost a crime not to leave a good review while there are few restaurants where I have enjoyed eating more often than Paul's. van Gurp in Colmschate. Both the fries and the frikandels and absolutely the ice cream are delicious. I think they score well above average as a chip shop!

Now it's been a long time in Vrede again. If we have enough time, we think it is more than worthwhile to go here instead of the competition in Bathmen. It is worthwhile to employ skilled staff and not just young people.

Very good snack bar! Located close to McDonalds, and you pay about the same. Please go to van Gurp. You're really doing yourself a favor! I went for the spicy chicken fries, and they were incredibly tasty! I like spicy and often find that restaurants stick to the Dutch spicy, but I thought this was really tasty by Dutch standards. Definitely recommended! Try the hair salon next time.
