I celebrated my 80th birthday yesterday. It was unforgettable. The atmosphere is relaxed, the children enjoyed themselves, and the dog is allowed to come along. Awesome😎

I celebrated my 60th birthday party with 26 people at Paviljoen Hanzezicht. It was very well organized, the food was delicious, and the communication before and after was top-notch! Still, just missing out on 5 stars because accessibility for people with mobility issues could be slightly better. But otherwise, highly recommended for organizing a party with family and friends.

Response to Hanzezicht's comment: It is striking that even in your response, the core of the review is completely missed. Of course, a manager could do something about unfriendly staff or replace dirty glasses at that moment. But that was not the only point of the review. The price-quality ratio was simply extremely poor. Meager portions, a “salad” consisting of some dry lettuce leaves without dressing, minuscule amounts of fries, and food that was completely out of proportion to the prices charged. You don't solve that by referring to a manager. Moreover, “busyness” is a strange explanation when, as a hospitality business, you are responsible for sufficient staff, training, and quality yourself. That is part of running a beach bar. Actually, that response sums up the entire experience perfectly: reacting superficially, missing the core, and evading responsibility instead of actually delivering quality. _____ REVIEW: You can tell by everything that this place relies entirely on location, not on quality. I have truly rarely had such a disappointing hospitality experience. Three times we were served dirty glasses. When we pointed this out, we were not helped politely but rather snapped at, as if we were the ones being difficult. That really says it all about the staff's attitude. Additionally, we had to wait an extremely long time for everything. Very young and clearly inexperienced employees were walking around without any sense of overview or hospitality. Furthermore, the food was bizarrely meager for the price you pay. The menu stated that the dishes were served with salad and fries. The “salad” turned out to be a tiny bowl that you would normally serve mayo in, with some dry lettuce leaves without dressing or any garnish. The fries were so small that you would even malnourish a toddler with them. The only reason this beach bar still has a right to exist seems to be its location by the water. Because based on service, quality, and price level, this is truly unprecedentedly far below par. A beautiful spot alone is not enough to compensate for poor hospitality. If you charge these kinds of prices, deliver the quality that goes with them.

A beautiful spot by the IJssel, where you can sit in the sun for a very long time. There is plenty of space, but it is really atmospheric. Kudos for that! This year I find the food much better already, and the service too. Even on a busy day! Just bring some toys for the children and they will entertain themselves very well on the little beach. So enjoy!

We had a lovely lunch with friends during our motorcycle tour. Super Ibiza vibe with plenty of seats! The service was top-notch and the food was very good. We had, among other things, a light lunch and a fried egg sandwich; they were nicely presented and there was really more than enough. Definitely recommended!

The sunshine was lovely, but the service was far from friendly. We ordered an iced coffee without whipped cream twice. Then she brought an iced coffee with whipped cream after all. We pointed out that we had ordered without. They rolled their eyes and said, "Ugh, well then I'll just change that." Subsequently, the iced coffees without whipped cream were slammed onto the table with a thunderous look on their faces. Also, €13.50 for a tortilla with some salmon that was cut in half to make it look like more? Not for us again. We were here 4 years ago as well, and simply nothing has changed. You pay for the view.

The service was appalling; it took 45 minutes to get hold of someone, and not a smile or an apology... but thankfully the setting is really lovely. We wanted to have dinner, but ended up just having a beer.

A fantastic location. I searched for a nearby restaurant on Google Maps and this one immediately caught my eye. We drove there, tried it out, and what can I say? We weren't disappointed. Paviljoen Hanzezicht is situated in a beautiful spot: on the IJssel with a view of the most beautiful waterfront in the Netherlands, namely that of the Hanseatic city of Kampen. I have eaten the most delicious loaded fries here. Also for coffee, lunch, drinks, or dinner: Paviljoen Hanzezicht is always a good idea. A great place for larger groups as well. The staff are helpful, friendly, and attentive.

We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary here on August 30, ‘25. From the planning to the end of the party, it was fantastically organized. Super location with a super fun atmosphere and service. Truly a SOLID 10. On to the next party 🥳

I held my farewell reception here. What a lovely place, with a great atmosphere and the most beautiful view of Kampen. The service was perfectly organized, as were the appetizers and drinks. Several guests were visiting this location for the first time and were pleasantly surprised, indicating that they would definitely return. Highly recommended for everyone.

Well, we are waiting for our food, but we are being looked at, but they are not serving us. I don't think this is normal here. This is already the third time that I have to wait a whole hour before I am helped.

I found the decor messy, with stains everywhere on the cushions, the place, and the curtains were filthy at the bottom! A different interior design would be welcome. The outside was also messy.

Beautiful location with a view of the IJssel River and the Kampen skyline. The seating is comfortable, and the food is good. A 12-hour stay is always fine. Please note: parking is not permitted in the immediate vicinity. Parking is prohibited, and a permit is required. You can park your car in the large parking lot at the train station, free for up to 5 hours, and it's a short walk. Great in good weather. If it's not so good, you'll be soaked.

Beautiful location...really beautiful...The drinks are fine...but the Dutch snack platter still needs some work haha...oh my...4 pickled onions...4 small mini cubes of cheese...a piece of boiled sausage...and 4 mini pieces of baguette...and also 4 bad bitterballen...22 euros...yes...you should really be ashamed if you dare to offer that...went starving that evening haha...

Last Saturday, we celebrated our anniversary party at Hanzezicht Paviljoen. We went over everything in a pleasant manner beforehand and coordinated the options well. I had read some negative reviews and was, to be honest, a bit nervous because of them, but that turned out to be completely unfounded! We really had a fantastic party. Everything was taken care of perfectly, and the pavilion looked beautifully styled. The stunning view over the IJssel made it extra special. The weather might not have been super sunny, but we sat comfortably under the beach tents, and the heaters created a cozy atmosphere. There was a private bar where everyone could get their own drinks, which immediately created a fun and informal atmosphere and ensured there was a lively buzz among the group. The children also had a great time playing beach volleyball, and the little ones could enjoy playing in the playground. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The Hanze BBQ de Luxe was also delicious; everything was prepared for us, which was very relaxing and ensured that everyone could enjoy themselves to the fullest. We received many compliments about it from our guests. Kortom: een TOPlocatie om een feestje te geven! Wij kijken er met een heel goed gevoel op terug.

Great place. The speed of initial orders sometimes leaves a bit to be desired. We went three times this week, and each time it took at least 15-20 minutes before we could order our first beer. It might be helpful to work in zones, with one person on the left, one on the right, and one at the front taking orders. Currently, it's common for one side to go unserved. Nevertheless, it's a nice place with great staff. Bucket Bud is our favorite. Next week the weather will be nice again; I know where to find me...

What a fantastic day! We celebrated our 12.5-year anniversary at the pavilion, and it was a real success. Lovely, cheerful ladies behind the bar kept a close eye on everything. The children had a blast in the water and on the beach, relaxing on the loungers. They even had some lovely conversations with the ladies behind the bar—so fun! We played a passionate (and especially enjoyable) game of volleyball with the family. Afterward, we had a delicious barbecue—everything was well-prepared, the chef was very friendly, and there was more than enough for everyone. In the evening, friends and colleagues joined us, and the atmosphere became even more enjoyable. Great conversations, lots of laughter, and a wonderful atmosphere. Truly an unforgettable day! Thank you to the pavilion team for their hospitality and to all our family, friends, and colleagues who made this day so special. We had a wonderful time!

Inmiddels zit ik 45 min heerlijk in de zon maar er is nog niemand langs geweest om een bestelling op te nemen. Ik denk niet dat het de bedoeling is dat hier geld verdiend wordt of service verleend wordt nu lees ik hier dat het eten sowieso niet de moeite waard is dus mocht er nog service gegeven worden voordat ik wegloop graag 1 espresso met een glas water . Zo jammer wat de lijstje is verder prachtig

A truly wonderful place. A fantastic location with views of the water, the city, the boats, and the sunset in the evening. Very good prices and selection. The service is incredibly friendly and helpful, and they speak several languages. I'd love to come back again and again.

Unfortunately, I had to wait over 45 minutes again, and without having lunch or a drink, I'm off to a place where they actually know what good service is. This time, no excuses about being busy; it's the middle of the week, and there are people there, but it's certainly not busy!

Today we ordered a drinks platter for our daughter's birthday. We figured we'd go for the most expensive one, so it would be well-stocked. Unfortunately, the platter was a huge disappointment. €35 for this small portion is really awful!

Prachtige locatie met zicht op Kampen. Jammer van de regen want de buitenlocatie is gezellig ingericht. Gelukkig hadden we een tafel voor 10 personen gereserveerd. Gezellige bediening niets was teveel.

Leuk zitten aan de IJssel, gezellige uitstraling. Wij hebben hier geluncht en dat was heel goed. Een tosti de luxe en een tomatensoep.

Not just a trendy location for the youth. Even if you turn 87, this is a great place to celebrate your birthday. Celebrated my mother's birthday here last Sunday with children and (great) grandchildren. We sat outside in a section reserved for us. Coffee, pastries, snacks, buffet and finally a festive ice cream cake were well arranged. Even the dog was spoiled! The only point of attention is the steep access if you have difficulty walking. But the stairs are wide enough to descend with a walker. All in all we had a pleasant afternoon.

Are you hungry and want value for your money... Then you shouldn't be here. Not recommended.

Last weekend we had lunch with our staff association in the Hanzezicht pavilion. We were warmly welcomed by the staff and the lunch buffet was already ready for us. There was more than enough food, the taste was excellent and the atmosphere was good. Moreover, the pavilion is located in a nice spot with a view of the IJssel. Our group finally continued with the PV day with a satisfied feeling!

Dag naar uitgekeken, menu beperkt vanwege allergieën. Koffie besteld en op terras (mooie lokatie) achterkomen dat ze geen verplichte allergenenlijst hadden en niets wisten van hun eigen ingrediënten. Het was teleurgesteld huiswaarts of met ambulance mee. Ik koos eerste.

Disappointing store (beautiful location and friendly waitress) despite the indication on the menu, you have an allergy, they know nothing in the kitchen and have no mandatory allergen list. We were looking forward to the day and went home disappointed after coffee (which we had already ordered).

Hanzezicht doet haar naam eer aan. Het is een fantastische plek om te genieten van de IJssel en het stadsaanzicht van Kampen. Dus dat geeft de doorslag om weer terug te keren naar dit bijzondere plekje. Maar....... er zijn ook wel een aantal minpunten (met uitzondering van de bijzonder vriendelijke bediening vandaag. Daar zijn jullie in gegroeid! Dat is namelijk ook wel eens anders geweest). De toiletten waren niet schoon, kussens in de banken ronduit smerig met gore, smerige vlekken en hondenharen(?). Omdat de tosti de Luxe niet kon worden besteld ( hoezo niet op een lunchmoment? Getuigt van slecht inkoopbeleid) dus dan maar de nacho's pulled chicken. Nou, dat ging nergens over. Slappe nacho's, met veel te veel chemische smeltkaas, je wist eigenlijk niet hoe je het moest eten en het was zo zout. Uit een eerdere ervaring weet ik dat de HACCP richtlijnen niet altijd in acht worden genomen. Daar word ik niet blij van. Uitglijder.... Een werknemer graaide met haar blote handen door een grote bak friet tijdens een bbq. Dat is op z'n zachts gezegd een beginnersfout. Al met al zou ik willen zeggen: het is een toplocatie. Heerlijke plek! Maar jullie vragen voor alles de hoofdprijs. Maak dat dan ook waar door kwaliteit te leveren waardoor de gast het gevoel krijgt waar voor z'n geld te krijgen.

Good food, great service and nice place ah water

Een mooiere plek om bij mooi wedr te zitten, eten, drinken van het strand genieten met uitzicht op Kampen bestaat niet. Moet wel mooi weer zijn.

Lovely and cozy place on the water. We had coffee there and the decaffeinated coffee in particular was so bad that we didn't stay to eat.

The cappuccino came from the machine, the apple pie for 5 euros clearly came from the factory and the macarons were tough: the kitchen is clearly not recommended and that's what you come for anyway. The service was friendly, the location is cozy and has a beautiful view.
