Enjoyed a delicious, creative dinner in a beautiful spot by the water. Made with so much love and presented with such passion. And the service at the table was very friendly and helpful. And with the added bonus of being pampered just like the other guests, you're on a low-salt diet.

Beautiful spot on the water. Nice and cozy restaurant. Good and friendly service. It's a shame that the lunch menu only offers more expensive dishes. I miss a cornbread sandwich and/or a croque monsieur for those who want something smaller, simpler, and a bit cheaper. I'll definitely be back.

During our holiday in the Netherlands (we live in Spain), we ate here four times. Excellent lunch and a lovely location. The service, in particular, deserves praise. You're truly treated like a guest here.

Great location and excellent food. Try one of the “plankjes”, or share a “badmeester” between two for lunch. We were there on a Sunday just at the end of the holiday season, and the place did feel slightly understaffed. Despite the fact that I had booked several days beforehand, our table for 9 wasn’t ready and set up. Warning: the menus are only available in Dutch, and not very descriptive, so get your “google translate” out and hope for the best! You won’t be disappointed though, just surprised!

Unfortunately, the quality of the food is only conditionally recommended. The location, the view, and the boat docking facilities are top-notch. The lido right next door is ideal for children and teens. The desperate attempt to reinterpret the typical Frisian midday lunchtime snacks can safely be described as a failure. Apart from higher prices for bitterballen, cross chicken, prawn croquettes, and other snacks, there's nothing to add. The staff are discreetly uninspired, and clearing the table is only possible after three requests. Just as the bill had to be completed three times. The terrace was only moderately busy, which may be why, with a bill of €200 and a generous tip, they charged an extra 20 cents for a glass of Kranwater. A blatant impertinence beyond compare. The group unanimously agreed...never again!!!

I was skeptical at first because of the negative reviews. But it's always been good in the past. Now I had a delicious meal in a nice location. The reception could be a bit more efficient and friendly. Perhaps they could hire an extra order picker. The waitress serving was very friendly. I had a delicious freshly smoked eel with bread. The hamburger and American pancakes also looked good. I'll be back.

What a ✨GOLDEN ✨ spot this is! We arrived by boat and moored right outside. We plopped down on the launch deck and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Pitta with fire-roasted meat 🔥 was a hit. The whole wheat bagel with tuna salad 🎣 was excellent. Delicious with some Harry Côt Verdes on top! IJwit on tap 🍺

Lovely spot, kids swimming at the beach while you enjoy an Aperol. The food is also good, a tip for the owner: it was tasty, but a bit too small. (Curry) Nice place, fast service. Beautiful view.

Zo op verheugd: de gerookte paling! Helaas op zondagmiddag,13.00, kregen wij te horen: uitverkocht. Het was prachtig weer, dus wel gezellig gezeten op t terras. Slordig dat dit vaste gerecht op de menukaart er niet is……

Normally good experience with the restaurant. Today after 1 year I went back again. When entering I indicated that I had made a reservation. I was not asked for the name so that already indicated that it was not extremely busy. After sitting still for fifteen minutes I walked in to order a drink myself. The meat platter was disappointing, the taste was good, but very limited and scanty what you get for €18.50. I would recommend just taking bread with spreads, expectations are not high for that. When ordering the main course we both ordered a steak, they did not ask if it should be rare or medium. In the meantime I walked back to the service and ordered a drink myself. It had not been delivered after 15 minutes. Then I walked in and got the drink on the house, which was appreciated. Unfortunately the main course was cold, my steak was medium and cold, my boyfriend's extremely rare and also cold. Fortunately the dog liked the food. Paid and went home.

Beautiful restaurant with a terrace located directly on the lake. The prices for the food are far too high. The price does not match the service at all. There are better options in the area.

A beautiful place on the water, unfortunately the food was very disappointing. Ordered halibut, downright tasteless and floating in a watery substance. Reported to the staff, she had forgotten the salt and pepper set and the chef reported that halibut is a watery fish. As compensation we got a cup of coffee. Unfortunately this is the last time we ate here.

Wanted to have lunch here with my son on a warm spring day. We sat for about 20 minutes until I asked one of the staff members if we could please order something. Detail: it was very quiet. Well, the eel for 18 euros (“smoked on the terrace”) seemed interesting to me, American pancakes for my son for 15 euros. Normally you don't hear me complaining about prices but what we got was laughable. I think this was a special type of mini eel that can only be caught around the terrace in the otherwise beautiful surroundings. There must have been smoking as mentioned, but there was no sign of that, it was just cold and old. Accompanied by a slice of bread that had been halved to make it look a bit more, served with an unimaginative salad on an old cutting board. Sad. Then the pancakes. Three whole American pancakes (half the size of their normal size and that's not big) with four slices of banana, a strawberry and a dollop of whipped cream. What a party for 15 euros! Behind me I heard a woman complaining to the waiter about how poorly her Flammküchen was and that they should be ashamed. This was before we got our food and I thought she might be exaggerating a bit. But no, she was right: as a “pavilion restaurant” you should be truly ashamed of this. Now I'm the kind of customer who isn't going to cause a scene over something like that, I was having too much fun with my company for that. You just won't see us again.

Food very average and overpriced. Beautiful location. We were also dissatisfied with the service, many errors. No insight from the chef.

We werden heel hartelijk ontvangen, kregen een mooi plekje bij het raam. Alle hapjes en drankjes waren met zorg samengesteld en vers. En meer dan genoeg. Tussendoor werd meerdere keren gevraagd of alles nog naar wens was. We hebben erg genoten van deze high tea, zeker een aanrader!

We were here for the second time today, as a pit stop on our little bike tour. Last time we had a coffee and a latte macchiato. Today a hot chocolate and a latte macchiato for a total of 7.50 euros. The prices are okay and the drinks were really hot 🔥. The service was friendly and attentive. She also tried to speak German. The ambience is appealing and the toilets are clean. The restaurant is located right on the water with a great view, boat dock and next door is the beach with a water playground.

The location is nice, but the food is clearly overpriced and the service is subpar and if you are here between 4 and 5 p.m. you will only get far too expensive snacks and nothing decent to eat.

Last time we were not positive about the lifeguard board and now the fishing board!! € 20 for some pieces of salmon / tuna salad / 3 anchovies and 3 small pieces of eel and 2 slices of bread + lots of lettuce Too bad... Atmosphere and service good!!

Yesterday we had dinner with 5 people. Service smooth and friendly. Definitely tasty food. Price-quality for this destination in an A1 location is excellent.

Unfortunately the service and food have deteriorated greatly. If you order a fish and meat platter, you only get 2 pieces of bread. If you ask for extra bread, it is difficult and you have to order an entire bread platter. Shame about the inhospitality. If you ask for a carafe of water, you get tap water, which is fine, but unfortunately pricey at €3..! In addition, the waiting time for your food is also quite long and the food comes in stages, which makes eating together difficult. The location and view is beautiful. Worth repeating, not anymore now that the service and food are not optimal and quite expensive...!

Too expensive for what you get, too small umbrellas in nice weather. But especially the price of the dishes in combination with what you get gives me reason not to want to go here anymore. Location remains great, but it just isn't right anymore as it was before.

In transit and braved the city of Balk to have lunch at the harbor. Spacious seats on the terrace, lots of things simmering by, friendly people, good food, fresh stuff, nice to sit for a while.

Shame. We expected more from the meat platter, 5 slices of meat and some lettuce for €18.75.

Why do you have an option to make a reservation on the website and do absolutely nothing with it? I had made a reservation for 6 people on the terrace with a request for a regular table and chairs. After registering at the counter, you are told to move a few tables together on the terrace. No sense of service here whatsoever. The food here is reasonable, but not more than that. The big plus is a great view. If one of the dishes arrives much too late, then as a “pavilion restaurant” you really do not deserve more than a mediocre score.

We were sitting on the water with a beautiful view of the lake until a big yacht stopped in front of us. Road view. Shame.

Hadn't been here for a while and came especially for the Lifeguard Keimpe board. Unfortunately it was very disappointing. 32 euros for a plank with a lot of plain nacho chips and bread, 3 bitterballen, 1 nasi snack, 3 shrimp tails and 2 samosas, a little tuna salad, 3 slices of coppa and 3 slices of mortadella, a little lettuce and a cup of olives. I remember that previously there was also fish on it, such as smoked salmon, etc. It was a lot of money for the board. We also ordered fries with mayo and they were served in a bowl with a thimbleful of mayonnaise. We asked for more mayonnaise and it was brought by the time the fries were almost gone. Letting it get cold is also not an option. Our table companion and I went for the gingerbeer (non-alcoholic soft drink) which was quite expensive, 5.40 for 200 ml. We wanted a Moscow mule, but they didn't know that. Then they served the vodka in a small glass next to a small soda glass that had a piece of lime and small sprig of mint in it on an inch of crushed ice. This drink costs about 9 euros in total and serving it this way is really disappointing. I asked for a bigger glass with more ice so we could pour it in, but this was not possible! After asking 3 times, an extra glass of crushed ice was brought. Plank, 3 beers on tap (special beer was quite expensive), 2 mini glasses of vodka, 2 ginger beers, 1 radler and cup of coffee, 80 euros. This isn't fun anymore. It seems that customers will have to cough up the corona debt.

We've never been so poorly received. After waiting for about 15 minutes and seeing the waitress go to the other tables we decided to call her a 1st time from a distance with a wave of the hand. The waitress saw the sign but didn't come over. 5 minutes later, her colleague who was dedicated to serving the food passed by us and we asked her to be able to take our order. She replied that her colleague would come very soon. 10 minutes later I decided to get up and ask the waitress to take my order. But she didn't come. She returned to the terrace to continue taking orders from the customers who'd arrived after us. So we decided to leave after more than 30 minutes without being able to place an order.

The lifeguard burger was raw and cold, they were very smart and said that's how they served this burger

We had heard good reports about this restaurant. Unfortunately we were very disappointed. We ordered surf and turf which was served on a bread board so the gravy ended up on the table. The meat was not fried enough and did not come through with the (standard) cutlery. Unfortunately, it is only possible to order fries. It's a shame that standard fries are served. Fish tasted fine. You must order additional side dishes. Unfortunately, rhubarb was already gone. Only fries and/or lettuce. They just forgot to take that with them. It didn't come later either, which is a bit of a shame. Beautiful location on the Slotermeer!

I find 14 € for this cheese platter to be overly expensive. Then the sauce was missing and the Gouda was already old/bad. After complaining, an exchange was made, but when we asked if we could still get some bread, we were charged another €3.50 for two slices of baguette. It's too expensive for us. The service dropped something every time the table was cleared.

Superficially a very nice restaurant with a nice location, but: very dirty and unkempt. The food (I had a burger) looked good, but not particularly good in terms of quality. The meat was still very raw and the bread was very cold. The side salad was served directly on a very unsightly and unhygienic wooden board. On top of that, the prices were high. The place wants to be more than it can deliver in terms of quality and cleanliness. Wouldn't come back.

Nice meal, (a pity that the Carpaccio is off the menu) rainy. Sat inside.

Do not order cheese or meat platter. You pay a lot for it and the cheese board consists of 5 tiny pieces of cheese measuring approximately 2 by 3 cm and 1 cm thin. The meat board consists of lettuce leaves and 6 slices of meat (sandwich filling). We were very disappointed.

Het was te druk en lawaaierig in de eetzaal.

Top restaurant met snelle service ondanks de drukte. Vriendelijk personeel niets is teveel. De locatie aan het water zelfs dat is Top.

Prachtige locatie, prima eten eten en drinken. Veel ruimte om met de boot aan te meren, ideaal.

Een super mooie plek. Maar dat is ook het enige. Na een paar keer zwaar teleurgesteld geweest te zijn in de afgelopen jaren wilden we het toch weer eens proberen. Na ruim 40 minuten op het terras gezeten te hebben en twee keer bediening aangesproken te hebben zijn we maar vertrokken. Samen met de vreselijke ervaring op mijn verjaardag vorig jaar maakt dat we hier nooit meer komen. We waren met 12 personen en mijn broer is ziek. Hij wilde iets bestellen van de kinderkaart. Daar kunnen we niet aan beginnen, het is hier geen snackbar werd ons gezegd. We zijn zelden zo onbeschoft ergens behandeld. Een rekening van honderden euro’s en dan mag er niet een portie friet besteld worden? Ze moeten zich heel erg schamen.

Fantastisches Essen, auf Wünsche und Fragen wird geduldig eingegangen.

Eigenlijk niet doen... het is een soort snackbar achtig strandtent waar/alles plakt van de viezigheid met prijzen van een goed restaurant.. de hele weg terug hoopte ik dat ik niet ziek zou worden...

Bediening prima, lokatie prima eten zeer matig. Visplank besteld , lag veel ansjovis op verder wat zalm en een klein beetje vissalade , prijs 28,50 per plank totaal geen verhouding qua kwaliteit.

Groot, redelijk drukbezocht terras. Zwemmogelijkheden, strandje dichtbij.

We kwamen voor de lekkere koffie. maar helaas die is nu niet meer te drinken. dus ook niet opgedronken. ook de lekkere wafels van vroeger niet meer te krijgen. Hele summiere Kaart. De slechte bediening heeft iedereen het over. De toiletten moeten nieuw zijn maar zijn bouwkundig niet af. Als de koffie goed is en het toilet ook kun je er gerust eten! Dus niet. Voorlopig zien ze ons hier niet terug. 22-8-2023 nog eens geprobeerd. maar nog even slecht. glas om het terras is gebroken. terras niet schoongemaakt, allemaal peuken enz. aperol spritz was zozo. ook in de toiletten geen papieren handdoekjes om je handen te drogen. wij komen hier nooit meer terug.

Prachtig aan het water maar hele kleine lunchkaart. Alles wat gefrituurd moest worden konden we niet krijgen. Op de menu kaart op tafel stond geen uitsmijter, via inscannen QR code wel. Dus 3x uitsmijter besteld ham, kaas. Even later werd gezegd dat er geen ham was. Toen was er een andere ham die gebruikt zou worden, deze is duurder. Mijn vraag wordt de uitsmijter duurder, nee dat niet. Ok.op de bon toch 0,50 pp duurder. De dame die de baas is kwam later langs en we vroegen waarom de kaarten verschilden? Er kwam een vaag antwoord. Vanaf vandaag hadden ze opeens de uitsmijter veranderd met andere ham. Dat bleef zo. Ik wilde betalen en de hele bestelling was niet te vinden. Moest opnieuw ingevoerd worden. Vreemd en vaag en niet de goedkoopste. De basin mag heel blij zijn dat ze uitstekend personeel heeft. Want de peper die we gevraagd hadden aan haar hebben we op een gegeven moment zelf gepakt. Deze stond zagen we later 2m bij ons vandaan.

Even aangelegd voor een drankje. Fijn plekje waar we al jaren komen.

Super stek aan het water snelle service goede kaart...gewoon top. Aanleggen met de boot wat wil je nog meer...

Sehr schönes Restaurant, kleiner Sandstrand für die Kids direkt neben dem Lokal, Bootsanleger, Slippstelle. Bedienung war sehr freundlich. Getränke/ Essen ließen nicht lange auf sich warten und waren sehr lecker. Wir waren alle satt und zufrieden TIPP: Das Bürgerfleisch (Rind) ist innen rosa, ich mag es, wer nicht sollte der Bedienung bescheid geben.
