Piccola Roma in Wijk 00 Beilen

The portion of vegetarian ravioli was more than half the size of the portion of seafood pasta, while the price difference is only 50 cents. A bit strange; moreover, the ravioli really wasn't enough. If I had known how small the portion was, I would have ordered bread and salad on the side. The service was very friendly, but everything took a very long time. We had to eat the pasta with sauce using a fork and a steak knife. The ravioli was good otherwise, and my mother really liked the seafood pasta. The fruit in the sorbet consisted mainly of large, hard pieces of unpeeled sour apple and pear, and exactly two pieces of kiwi. I actually think even canned peaches would have been tastier than this. The cheese on the cheese platter was tasty, but very small for the price (4 pieces for 8.75 euros, so well over 2 euros for a piece the size of two dice); furthermore, the cheese didn't feel very Italian; I would even swear that one piece was just aged Gouda.

The atmosphere transports you to Italy; Piccola Roma. Impeccable service with an even more beautiful meal. Sea bass fillet with a delicious dressing. The host even came to the table to attend to his guests. At the end, he treated us to a delicious Sardinian drink. Sempre Italia, gracie!!

A pizzeria with a wide variety of pizzas on the menu. That deserves a plus point. Unfortunately, the pizza that was served was barely done. It really should have been in the oven a bit longer. It is also a shame that a delivery van was idling right next to the terrace, puffing out its diesel fumes with a car radio on that really did not do the atmosphere on the terrace any good. And then, to top it all off, a group of young people came onto the terrace behaving downright antisocially, yet no one said a word. The staff were simply the same age and lacked the authority to do anything about it, and the person who actually could have done so dismissed it with a single shush. If it were my restaurant, I would have given them a choice. Either you behave yourselves or you leave. Period. A pity. Because we had been looking forward to a summer evening on a nice terrace. I indicated twice that it wasn't okay. There was hardly any response to this. So definitely do point it out.

Had a delicious meal, service friendly and fast. The takeaway section is busy, ordering in advance is recommended. The restaurant is cozy and spacious compared to other pizzerias where you are often sitting on top of each other.

This is a top-notch restaurant! We go there regularly. And there are few restaurants that can match it.

Mediocre experience. The Salsiccia sardo pizza was tasteless and very sparsely topped. The sauce for the Pasta Alla arrabiata was piping hot; was this heated up in a microwave? The main course was served while we were still in the middle of the starter. The service seemed unmotivated.

Disappointing experience. Picked up pizzas and upon arriving home, the bases were burnt black on the bottom, ingredients were missing, and the pizzas were of poor quality. The pizzas are tasteless and the bases are soggy. Conclusion: not recommended.

We ate there for the first time recently, and certainly not for the last time! The pork tenderloin was well-seasoned, the lasagna tasted good and was beautifully presented. In other reviews, some people consider a thin pizza crust undesirable. We absolutely did not; the freshness of the ingredients on the pizza really came into its own this way. A small point of attention: the table we were seated at was underlit.

The gentleman touched my wife inappropriately, on her meniscus. Meniscus. Meniscus. Then he said, "I thought that was okay."

The food arrived super fast and the pizzas were perfect, with a good base and a good crust. Highly recommended for a great price.

The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Drinks are refilled promptly. The food was delicious. The staff, and even the chef, regularly come by to ask if everything is to your liking. Thank you for a wonderful evening; we will definitely be back.

We've been here a few times now and have nothing but praise. Good food, friendly and efficient service with genuine attention. Also recommended if you're looking for a gluten-free pizza. Almost indistinguishable from the real thing. The mixed grill is the best I've had in a long time.

We had a delicious pasta meal. The service was very polite. The tiramisu wasn't very good; it was removed from the bill. We found it very annoying that the woman at the kitchen/takeout/cash register laughed loudly and was also rude to each other. It's not nice to have people in your restaurant. It might be a good idea to separate the takeout section from the restaurant.

We had a lovely meal there. The food was good value for money, but the kitchen was full of insults and curses. We started with a Coke and a Fanta, a tomato soup for the appetizer, and a Rib Eye and spaghetti for the main course. Instead of the Rib Eye, I was given a different dish (misunderstood?), but it was delicious. The restaurant is also dog-friendly.

Always tasty food, but it's a shame that if you ask for some extra sauce instead of salad with one of the dishes, you get charged an extra €3... no service, it wasn't like this "in the old days"... And that while you also have to wait 2 hours for delivery. Not a problem in itself, but stripping it down like that is a pity. P.S. When you go to eat it, it also turns out that the sauce is actually much sourer than "normal"; is it white wine sauce instead of the sweet Marsala?

Friendly service and starters were good, but pizza toppings were too thick and watery.

We had eaten here before. We went again last Sunday, but this time we reserved for 9 people. The table was ready. Fine. We did have to wait a long time for our drinks, though; with multiple orders. One drink was even forgotten, despite sufficient staff. The food was delicious. The tiramisu could have been a bit bigger. What disappointed us when reviewing the bill at home was that €1.50 (= €0.50 per leaf) was charged for three small fresh basil leaves on our grandson's pizza.

If you order pizza here, first check if it's the right one. I ordered without mushrooms, but you'll see what you get with mushrooms when you get home. 🙈🙈 They try to think along, but don't spend another 15 minutes in the car for another pizza.

At Piccola Roma, they know what real Italian food should taste like and what true Italian hospitality entails. The restaurant is run by Italians, and the five of us had an excellent meal here at a very reasonable price. A nice touch: when making a reservation, I finally didn't have to spell my name 😜

With two young children, ages 4 and 5, we had to wait an hour and 45 minutes for four pizzas. The couple next to us ended up canceling their dessert because they waited an hour for two ice creams. It wasn't because the restaurant was full or understaffed. It was because we'd brought some toys (games and coloring books), but everything took an incredibly long time, especially for the kids. The food was okay, but it didn't arrive at the same time and wasn't anything special. We won't be back.

Friendly staff. It's always busy here. We're often in Italy and usually find the pizzas here don't really compare to those in Italy...but these definitely come close. The food is delicious.

Yesterday, five of us dined with a reservation at 6 p.m. The restaurant is beautiful. We received a friendly welcome, the staff were excellent, and drinks were quickly ordered, but then the long wait began after our order was taken. The service was chaotic; three pizzas were served at 7 p.m., and the rest of the group didn't arrive until 5 minutes later. The quality was good, but there was little communication between the staff. Several members asked if we wanted another drink, even though we had already requested this beforehand. Areas for improvement: communication and coordination between staff, divide the service by group of tables, and... stop writing down orders on a notepad and automate them! That will improve the service.

Okay, I thought, let's have some pizza with the kids. No problem, call them. We picked up the pizzas and came home, but what a disappointment, a real nightmare. The pizzas were already cold, the meat and sauce were pretty sparse. There were ingredients missing from my pizza. And you're paying a lot of money for it. Can you really expect something for it? And the open kitchen, guys, come on, give your ceiling a good coat of paint. The paint was peeling off. Not very neat, and the extractor fan needs a look too, because my son even noticed the place smelled like Hong Kong. The front is neat, but where the food is made, no, that's really not acceptable. If I could give half a star, I would.

Ordered pizzas. Delivered 30 minutes late. Really mediocre toppings. One of the meatless pizzas, but €2.50 extra for 3 extra spicy flakes. Ordered the wrong pizza. Had to call twice to get the right one. Had to wait 1.5 hours for it. Really bad, people. Next time, should we order frozen pizza?

Neat restaurant and delicious food. We were on our way home from an event, thinking we'd grab a bite to eat on the way back, and pizza usually doesn't take that long. However, it took a really long time here. We had to wait over 50 minutes for our food. The staff seemed very busy. Ultimately, the staff resolved the issue, and the pizzas were delicious and generously topped. The service could have been a bit more attentive.

Unfortunately, it was disappointing. We dined there on Sunday evening and had made reservations well in advance. We were given a table near the entrance/kind of a noisy staff meeting place. It was also very close to the staff's main route. If you make a reservation, I recommend reserving a spot in the conservatory. Communication with the staff and manager wasn't exactly positive. And the pizza (we all had three different pizzas) was very mediocre. The pieces of bell pepper (though fresh) were too large and undercooked. The crust tasted more like bread dough than pizza. Furthermore, the pizzas were bland. Little to no seasoning? We were asked during the checkout if we were enjoying our meal, but we didn't respond enthusiastically. The message went unanswered. When we paid, we were asked again. I clearly stated that we weren't satisfied. They called the chef (I think) and listened to our concerns, giving us a 15% discount. That was certainly not our intention to receive that, but it is a nice gesture.

Had a good meal at Piccola Roma. The bread and the melon with ham were delicious. The portion of raviola could have been a bit bigger for me, the taste was good. The lady Bianca was served with hot chocolate from a jug. That was delicious. We sat in the atmospheric conservatory, on the square. The service was friendly and quick.

Wonderful food, a particularly warm hostess, very accommodating waitresses and at the end of the evening the chef asked what he liked at every table. These are hosts/restaurateurs with heart and skill!

Positief verrast over dit restaurant, dat we nog helemaal niet kenden. We troffen er zeer vriendelijk personeel aan. Het eten werd snel geserveerd. We vonden de pizza’s hééérlijk!!! De pasta werd iets minder enthousiast ontvangen. Het leek niet op hoe we het uit Italië kenden en er zaten te weinig spekjes in. Verder fijne, normale prijzen, wat een verademing! De desserts waren ook lekker, maar helaas niet heel bijzonder. De Dame Bianca had niet de beloofde warme chocoladesaus maar deze was koud. En de Merenque hazelnootijs was helaas niet meer dan hazelnootijs met vier kant-en-klare merenque schuimpjes uit de supermarkt… wat een misser. Iedereen die ooit in Italië is geweest weet precies hoe dit ijs had moeten proeven. De caramelsaus was ook ver te zoeken of smakeloos. Het verrassingsdessert daarentegen was boven verwachting leuk en lekker! Al met al een leuke ervaring, leuke ambiance en voortreffelijke pizza’s!

Leuk restaurant in centrum Beilen. Rijkelijk belegde pizza, iets te nat hierdoor maar verder prima. Tortellini en lasagna ook in orde. Muziek ging paar keer aan maar ook weer uit en bleef daarna uit. Beetje stil hierdoor. Was rustig en in de serre werden de stoelen alvast op de tafel gezet. Niet uitnodigend om wat langer te “tafelen”.

Yesterday the 3 of us had a delicious meal at this place. We sat by the large windows where, despite it being an evening, a lot of light came through. Furthermore, nice servers and waitresses. Matige kwaliteit eten. Pizza ging nog wel, pasta had veel te veel saus en saus leek wel uit pakje te komen. Smakeloos. Interieur is toe aan opknapbeurt. Al met al niet om over naar huis te schrijven.

We had a nice, wonderful evening. The biggest area for improvement is the interest of the young ministry. You can see that they know quite well what they are doing, the interest just isn't there. (It is of course a side job) For example, when the main courses arrive: the first half of the table gets food and then you don't see anyone for more than 10 minutes. No one says; the rest is coming but isn't ready yet, or something like that. No, other tables around us did get food. After a good 10 minutes, the other dishes were brought without saying anything. All in all, it didn't dampen the festive spirit. We will definitely come back again. Tip: book in time! There was only room outside on the terrace!

Spontaneous service and a very long menu with many pizzas, everyone can find a pizza here. An anti pasta starter, it was tasty but not special, the sandwich beforehand with garlic butter was delicious. The pasta was tasty and 2 of the 3 pizzas delicious. We found 1 pizza a bit overcooked, a new pizza was offered for it and it was resolved well.

Niet een goed bereide pasta zoals het eigenlijk hoort. Penetrante knoflooksmaak. Helaas behoorlijk ziek geworden als resultaat. Bediening werd afgeraffeld, niet vriendelijk zoals we gewend waren

Had a very strange experience in this restaurant, which is a shame as we often came there with the family. Like almost every time we came here, we had our dog with us. That has never been a problem, in fact: the staff always liked the dog and often petted it upon arrival. This time, upon entering, the hostess rudely informed us that dogs are not allowed. When we expressed our outrage, we received comments such as: “Well, that has always been an exception because dogs are absolutely not allowed here.” The hostess again pointed out to us in a very blunt and unfriendly manner that we could sit near the open doors. When we indicated that we thought it was very strange how this was happening and that we did not want to come here again in this way, we were told: as far as I am concerned, you can also leave NOW. Pity. We are absolutely not difficult and if dogs are not allowed, we simply stick to that rule. No problem. However, due to our previous experiences and reviews in which people talk about “dog-friendly”, we assumed that it would not be a problem to take the dog with us. It's a shame how this unfriendly communication has changed our view of the restaurant. We came there regularly, but that is now a thing of the past for us... what normal communication with someone else could not change...

Incredibly rude staff. The previous times I had dinner here, the dog was always allowed to come along, but tonight it was apparently wrong. The “hostess” immediately became angry and had to inform us in a very anti-social manner that the dog was absolutely not allowed to come. After leaving the tent, it was said in a soft but clearly audible tone that we were never welcome here again. Apparently she is quite strange about treating customers with respect. This is absolutely not recommended.

It was very noisy in the restaurant, you had to wait for a long time, ordered Sprite but received Sprite Zero, even though Sprite was on the menu, the waiter said that there would always be Sprite Zero. Penne Bolognese was not seasoned at all, only tasted like tomatoes and was not edible. We would not recommend this restaurant and would not go there again.

Eine Sprite bestellt aber Sprite Zero bekommen, den Kellner darauf aufmerksam gemacht, aber er meinte es würde immer Zero geben. Steht nicht in der Karte .Penne Bolognese schmeckte nur nach Tomaten, nicht gewürzt, überhaupt nicht genießbar. Lange Wartezeit und es war sehr laut im Restaurant. Wir kommen nie wieder und können dieses Restaurant auch nicht weiterempfehlen!!!

Bruschetta as a starter, it was just a slice of toasted bread with diced tomatoes on it, no garlic or herbs, so it was bland in taste. The calzone was way too salty.

Heerlijk Italiaans restaurant met heerlijke gerechten. Van pizza tot pasta en van vlees tot vis. Goede en vriendelijke bediening en goede prijzen. Een aanrader dus.
