I really enjoyed my time at Pizza Beppe Utrecht. This is a small, cozy Italian restaurant where you can still enjoy pizza the way it's meant to be. Baked in a real wood-fired oven, with a perfect crust and incredibly flavorful dishes. The pizzas are not only traditionally good but also surprising. There are many original options on the menu that you don't see everywhere. The service is relaxed and friendly, just what you'd expect from a good pizzeria. And then there's the tiramisu. It's truly divine and a perfect ending. In short, if you're looking for an authentic, small Italian pizzeria in Utrecht with top-quality pizza, this is definitely the place to be.

The pizza here used to be great, but now it's a disgrace. We tried it a few times but the quality is terrible, so we won't be coming back.

The pizzas themselves are delicious, but unfortunately, they were no longer warm when I picked them up. They couldn't be reached by phone.

Terrible service. Two cold pizzas. Called Beppe: it's the home delivery guy's fault, you won't get new pizzas or a refund. Home delivery: it's Beppe's fault. Don't order from here.

What a terrible experience, and the worst part is that management doesn't do anything about it when you report it. It's awful; you don't feel like a customer.

Today at 9:05 PM we came to this pizzeria for 2 takeaway pizzas but the pizza chef told us that it closed at 9:15 PM. On the internet it says 9:30 Pm. The oven was closed.. Why?

The pizza and the drinks were tasty, but I count myself lucky that I bit onto this piece of sharp plastic that was in my pizza before I could swallowed the bite.

The pizza was good. But I ordered extra grilled eggplant and grilled zucchini, both 2.95 extra. And what you get in return is really scandalous, a few stray pieces of vegetables.

The pizzas do taste good and the ingredients are of high quality. However, the service is simply insufficient. They have no clue how much orders they can process in a given time. With as result: a very long waiting time. Saying things like: "it's ready in 7 minutes", while having to wait at least triple that number is just annoying.

Very bad experience with an order from this place. They kept us on the line for 2 hours, and eventually cancelled the order because 'busy'.

When you come to eat there, home delivery orders are given priority, which means you often have to wait a long time, and when you order something often goes wrong (3 of the 4 most recent orders). Too bad to see a place I used to like go down like this :/

Ate twice, the pizzas and starters are good. Quattro formaggi is highly recommended. Very slow service, we had to wait a long time to order something. Once it's done, really enjoy it!

Very expensive. I paid €17 for a small salad with burrata. There was no dressing either. Pizza was tasty but the prices were also comparatively high

We placed an order two hours ago, and the food arrived cold! Also, if you don’t have a knife to cut the pizzas, let us know so we can buy one for you. Absolutely unacceptable!

Yesterday we came to Pizza Beppe Lombok at around 18:15 with a group of 6… order was made at 18:25. To our surprise there was just one pizza chef making all the pizza’s for both delivery and the clients at the restaurant. As imagined, for a Saturday evening this clearly isn’t enough. The employees were doing their best, but logically under staffed. Pizza arrived at 19:30, more than one hour later. As a apology they didn’t charge one the pizza’s. Pizza’s were really good!!! I would say hire more staff or limit your orders on busy days. And as last, inform your clients before the order if it’s taking that long.

Do not order for delivery in Utrecht. They have good pizza but it takes almost 2 hours for delivery and they are cold. Better to order for pick up or eat in. Much too expensive as well for a 2 hour wait & cold pizza.

The packaging was bad. Pizzas both came smashed with cheese sticking to the caved in center of the lid. Wet cardboard mixed into the now cold cheese. Pizza with “fresh green pepper” came with spicy pickled peppers (Im sick and can’t eat spicy), and had chicken even though I didn’t order it with chicken? Came totally cold and soggy.

Cute cozy italian pizzeria in Lombok. The pizza was good, in my opinion too crunchy (unlike Neapolitan pizza that it doesn’t have to be crunchy) but still the ingredients are good so overall it was a fantastic pizza. Fast and kind service from the floor guys :)♥️

Order via home delivery did not arrive, no one in the restaurant answered the phone, after 3 hours a message from home delivery said that the order had been cancelled. Furthermore, no message at all from the restaurant itself? If you cannot handle the extra orders via a delivery service, do not offer a delivery option. Or at least be reachable by phone???

Made an order 40 minutes before closing and never had it delivered. They didn’t even call or message me about it.

It is a charming restaurant with tasty pizza. The waiter came to help us quickly and we didn't have to wait too long for the pizzas. The taste of the pizza was very tasty, although the base was a bit soft and the crust was a bit raw. I think this was because the base of the pizza oven was not hot enough. The only thing was that the texture of the pizza could have been a little better.

Unfortunately I just ordered (can't leave a review there so here goes): 4 cheese pizza and one with salami. The one with salami had virtually no cheese on it and the 4 cheeses: the cheese had been pushed all the way to one side and there was only 1 small piece of blue cheese on it. Also a quarter of the pizza was burnt and there were no ingredients. I must say that the delivery person did not look fresh and motivated either. A lot of money for a very mediocre pizza. 33 euros……for a little cheese and dough. This is pure rip-off and has absolutely no love for pizza.

They only have pizzas and one type of salad... The homemade tiramisu was delicious though.

Restaurant atmosphere was chaotic and the 3 staff members there were clearly struggling (but doing their best) to balance the constant stream of drivers coming to get food and customers eating in the restaurant. When youre that popular, is it crazy to have more than 1 chef on a friday night? Felt bad for the workers who were clearly understaffed. Shame cause the pizza is really good.

Ordered 2 pizzas around half past 8 in the evening. Delivery time was initially 48 minutes. This got later and later. Ultimately at 10:45 PM the order was canceled by them (and too late for us to order anything else). Unavailable by phone in the meantime. Ridiculous, you can't treat people like that. Not alright.

Delivered more than 1 hour late. No message, cannot be reached, but 50 bucks for 3 mediocre pizzas (dough undercooked and tough). If you treat customer trust this way, you have no right to exist. Never again.

After a long day we had a lovely evening with amazing neapolitan pizza - one vegan and one with ham. Service was extraordinary and even though we came a little late, they were very chill and we could enjoy our dinner in no hurry. We would definitely recommend and come back!

When ordering, a delivery time of 40 minutes was given. This was consistently delayed by 20 minutes over the next 2 and a half hours. Extremely annoying. Then just be honest and immediately say that it will be later.

One of the best pizza’s I’ve had in Utrecht. Home made Italian pizza from a stone oven. All employers seemed Italian. Very quick service! They are not reachable by phone, but they are open!

Hou je van aangebrande pizza zowel boven als onder dan is dit de plek. Anders erger je aan de zwart aangebrande korst en bodem. Tweede keer binnen 1 maand dus geen toeval meer. Wijn geoxideerd, t smaakte naar leer, werd keurig vervangen, glas met lippenstift erbij bleah. Ik hoef geen korting maar als je zo duidelijk maakt dat het je tegenvalt...

The pizza was exceptional! Service was friendly and engaging. Bit warm inside, but the rest of it easily made up for that. Would definitely recommend!

Our pizzas had quite alot (too much) charring. This left quite much of the pizza inedible. Atmosphere of the space was nice and OK service.

Delicious pizza!! We had it delivered to our home and we both loved it. Good base, delicious tomato sauce. What I miss on the menu is a nduja with gorgonzola. 💖

Ordered pizza via home delivery, but they are closed on Saturdays. So make sure you don't order it on Saturday, as your order seems to go through via home delivery! Pizzas are usually always delicious here!

What terrible service, absolutely not professional, very inexperienced staff.

Staff is very nice. We can't say anything about that. We had 2 pizzas Margritha. The first floated in oil. I have never indicated that something was not good, but when they politely asked how it tasted, I indicated that there was a lot of oil. They then provided service by making 2 new pizzas. Very neat. Even though this one was better, I can better describe it as less bad. Very weak base, mozzarella felt like chewing gum in the mouth. An 8 for the staff, but no matter how hard they tried with the 2nd one, it just wasn't tasty. Well, I ate half of it because we were going to a performance, but it weighs on my stomach like a can of concrete.

Super tasty pizza. Is NEVER on time, don't you dare order takeaway/delivery food, you will wait between 30 and 60 minutes longer than planned. Eating on site is just fine, often with a delay. It's a shame, but we just don't do it anymore.

Piccolo locale a 10 minuti dal nostro hotel, personale molto gentile che ha trovato il modo di darci il giusto spazio per il passeggino. Pizzaiolo italiano simpatico, pizza napoletana molto buona con possibilità di personalizzazione. Tiramisù non all'altezza della pizza e prezzi 'olandesi' (45€ 2 pizze con crudo, un dolce e un'acqua).

I mean pizza was delicious but the highlight was the tiramisu.. so soft and amazingly flavorful!! 👌🏽 Friendly service and a nice spot to have a wine and enjoy an evening 🍷

The pizzas are really exceptional. The location is not very far from Utrecht Centraal station. It’s around 10 minutes walk. The restaurant is too small and it’s too warm inside and no dining outside is possible.

I recently ordered a pizza from Pizza Beppe, and the experience was disappointing. Firstly, it took an long amount of time, some 50 minutes, for my pizza to be delivered. But the worst part was, the order was incomplete, as they forgot to include the coca cola I ordered. And they did not bother to correct there mistake, so i paid €3 for nothing but frustration. When I tried to contact them to resolve the issue (3 times at different hours), they did not pick up the phone. The customer service was quite appalling and made the entire experience saddening. Overall, the pizza delivery experience was a letdown. The delivery time was quite long, and the order was incomplete, and the customer service seemed nonexistent. I would not recommend this place for delivery.

*update: I contacted them via email and they compensated me nicely. The problem was mainly with Deliveroo and Uber as they are responsible for timely response and compensation, but because this was not their responsibility, the restaurant itself offered me compensation. Placed an order via Deliveroo that was suddenly canceled after an hour of waiting because there was an "incident" with the delivery person the next Deliveroo. Because I have had good experiences with Pizza Beppe, I decided to place an order again, this time via Uber. I received the wrong order (I ordered a vegetarian margharita and received a salami pizza) and filed a complaint via Uber. Since I had already waited over an hour in total, I didn't want to wait for Uber's response so I called the location. The boy on the phone asked if the receipt was stuck to the pizza box, which was not the case. He therefore thought that the delivery person had mixed up the pizzas. He referred me to Uber customer service and told me that they would immediately place a new order for me if I filed a complaint. I asked him again if that's how it works because otherwise I would be without food since the restaurant was closing 25 minutes later. I explained to him that I had been trying to order since 7:00 PM and something had already gone wrong and I would just like to receive my food. He assured me that this would be fine. Since I had already filed a complaint with Uber, I waited patiently. Unfortunately I didn't hear anything anymore and I ended up running out of food and losing my €15. If the guy on the phone hadn't told me that Uber would fix it, I would have at least ordered the right pizza again, just to be sure. I'm really not happy with the service. Obviously part of the inconvenience lies with the delivery services, but the restaurant should have taped the receipts to the boxes (normally they always do this) and they should have accommodated me by delivering a new pizza, or at least by me recommend ordering a new one.

We moved to this pizzeria because our regular addresses were not open. Mainly focused on picking up and delivering: the door was opened all the time for all kinds of delivery people, apart from the fact that it was irritating that it was draughty and there was a lot of traffic that did not consist of customers who ate on site, all attention was actually focused on the preparing and serving the pizzas for those delivery people. We had to wait far too long for 3 pizzas that were also mediocre in quality. To make matters worse, two pizzas were mixed up and we only discovered this when we got the last slice (a very small part of our own fault) but that certainly did not contribute to the experience. The pizzas are not very original and way too expensive. Fortunately, our 'own' pizzeria will be open again soon, I would like to invite the gentlemen and ladies of Beppe to see how to run a pizzeria (and yes, they do a lot of delivery there too). In any case, I will never go here again. 1 star for the nice boy who helped with the service, the rest deserves no praise, without exception speaking English - we are in the Netherlands...

Good and delicious pizza, but I’m surprised that they don’t have any plant-based cheese alternative for the pizza and plant-based milk alternatives for the coffee. These are so common and everywhere now, and I was surprised that they don’t even have one for vegan or lactose intolerant customers.

We live close to Pizza Beppe on the Vleutenseweg so I went to their own website to order and pick up. There was a very interesting deal (buy 1 Americana pizza and get 1 free). He was delicious! It was ready on time, friendly service and very warm. We also once ordered from home delivery here, even then it was great (but there are deals available via their own website and the store gets more out of it). Really much better than all the junk you order at "cheap" pizzerias. Fresh ingredients make this a treat.

Overall the dough was good, except for the so-called "Parma ham" probably bought from Aldi or Nettorama, unfortunately I give two stars for the rip-off.

Very bad !! The 1st time I received the wrong pizza, I received 2 instead of the 1 I ordered, but not the right pizza, I told the delivery person and he only said yes, but now you have 2?! Then they called to say that the pizza was wrong and the blame was placed on the delivery person and not friendly on the phone at all, no excuses, nothing. My pizza was supposed to arrive asap, but 45 minutes later it arrived and it was ice cold, a waste of the 20 euros you paid for it!! Was the 1st time and the last time!!

Netjes gereserveerd. Kom je daar op tijd aan is er toch geen tafel. Niet gebeld om dit mede te delen, we werden gewoon het pand weer uit gezet zonder sorry oid. Wat een slechte service en niet klantvriendelijk. Bellen of een uitnodiging voor een volgende keer was toch wel op z’n plaats geweest.

Some events are worth celebrating. That's why we went to Pizza Beppe to have a nice, relaxed pizza. But they are really tasty! Ate way too quickly. For me: the tastiest pizza margarita with burrata ever. Then finish with homemade tiramisu.... That means taking it easy on the calories for the coming week.

The pizza was tasty and prepared well. The staff was friendly. After we left we realised we didn't get the 'early bird' discount that is advertised on their website, so a bit sad that we paid more than we were supposed to. Still happy with the pizza though.

Pizza dough was chewy, tasted more like an Indian naan bread than a pizza to me. The topping was meh, we chose the tartufo which seemed to have ordinary white mushrooms (champignons) on most of the pizza. There seemed to be a sprinkling of tartufo olive oil on some parts of the pizza, which tasted more like a cheap gimmick with the state of the rest of the pizza. Advertising with the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana sets a high expectation, matched with high prices for the pizza. The result was no where near those expectations.

The waiting time is horribly long ... More than one hour although we had a reservation... Pizza is acceptable, price too high for the place ...

We were really looking forward to pizzas from this restaurant. There are good stories going around on the internet and here too the reviews are not disappointing. Unfortunately, our first meeting with Beppe was not the experience we hoped for. For pick-up: The pizza still had to be prepared so I had to wait a while, and was politely apologized for the miscommunication. Once I got home the pizza was completely cold even though I live within walking distance of the pizza place. So the pizzas did not have to be prepared at all, but were left to cool during my waiting time. I was not informed of this. Once we got home, the pizza turned out to be burnt in places, contained few toppings and was very bland. Shame!

Nice service and delicious Neapolitan pizza!

I hate when pizzerias claim to have certificate of "Associazione Pizza Verace Napoletana" and they dont. You can easily check that on pizzanapoletana.org. This pizzeria does not have the certification that is marked on the menu. This is misleading, I hope you either correct this "mistake" or get a real certificate.

Pizzas are overpriced for the quality. Nothing special and the pizza I just ordered was undercooked (raw chewy dough) and wet. The toppings are great and all but not worth it :/

Average pizza. I had high expectations since they claim to be part of "associazione pizza verace napoletana". All the features required in a standard pizza napoletana were not fulfilled. nice staff btw and the place too, but due to the food would not recommend it to Italians.

Unfortunately, I have now had several bad experiences. Ordered a pizza twice and indicated that I did not want olives on it. The second time, the waitress admitted that the chef often does not read the receipt and that it happens more often. The pizza was made again, but it had barely seen the oven and was therefore barely or better undercooked. Unfortunately, I will buy my pizzas somewhere else.

Fantastic pizzas with high quality ingredients from Italy. The staff is also very friendly and helpful and everything is neatly disinfected. Takeaway is also possible, so do yourself a favor and get your pizzas here.

Das Essen ausgezeichnet. Vorspeise sowie Hauptgericht. Das Personal sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die Speisekarte beschränkt sich auf wenige Gerichte, die aber mit ausgezeichneter Qualität punkten! Manchmal ist weniger schon mehr! Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist absolut in Ordnung und das Restaurant kann nur weiterempfohlen werden.

Pizzas are never ready on time. Recently our order was canceled after an hour of waiting. They just can't organize here.

Had a terrible experience just now. We ordered two pizzas and two beers through Deliveroo. The beers were missing and the pizza was so undercooked it was wet. We ordered somewhere else and will never order here again. Just unacceptable.
