I had a very unpleasant experience here. We were a small group with a bill of €37 and asked to split the payment between two cards, but the staff refused. At first, we were told they only accepted cash, which was already frustrating since we didn’t have any. Then, we were asked to pay half in cash, half by card — a strange and inconvenient request. When we explained that we only had cards, the staff became visibly annoyed and quite rude. There was no attempt to explain the policy politely or accommodate us in any way. Once we finally managed to pay, the server walked off without a single “thank you” or even a basic apology for the inconvenience or attitude. The whole interaction left a really bad impression. I would not return or recommend this place based on the way we were treated. Don't recommend

Service was neutral to unfriendly. Glasses were snatched from the table as you walked by, even if your beer wasn't yet finished. It took almost 45 minutes from the time I ordered (food) to the time I got one(!) pizza served. The pizza definitely wasn't particularly tasty. There was simply no flavor. Neither salt nor oregano. Even the tomato sauce was so bland that you only noticed it in the consistency of the pizza. I definitely don't recommend this "pizzeria"!

Worst place ever. We just wanted to have a quick dinner befor heading into the city again. The service was really bad, it took them 45 mins until ONE pizza was ready. And it was an avagerage/ok pizza. Not the worst, but definitely not the best either. And after we ate the server wanted to take my not-quiet-finished beer away. Can't recommend it, will never go there again.

My worst restaurant experience in 10 months of consecutive traveling. Food seemed like it was microwaved in the back and the service was extremely lackluster. Our food took upwards of an hour, with multiple people in my party receiving incorrect orders and being charged extra to fix this. Drink prices are not placed on the menu and they charge €9 for a beer and €8 for a Coca Cola. Definitely avoid this place!

The restaurant staff started construction mid dinner which made it smell awful. The drinks are also not on the menu because they were extremely overpriced.

After a day in Amsterdam, we were hungry and didn't feel like going to a fast food joint. We chose this place because there weren't crowds of tourists passing by. We went for the Texas burger, which wasn't bad. The waiter was a young, cheerful guy who tried his best, but clearly never worked on a patio. He brought it with a big smile, so we can forgive him. Definitely worth a visit on our next visit to Amsterdam.

Several pasta dishes were of mediocre quality and bore only a vague resemblance to Italian cuisine. For example, Bolognese with large meatballs and carbonara with cream sauce were served. Drink prices were not listed; a 0.5 liter non-alcoholic beer cost €8.50. The supposed welcome from the kitchen (a small garlic bread) to start the meal was charged at €6.50.

We once had the Bolognese and the Carbonara, and the dishes were swimming in fat. There was a bit too much salt in them. Overall, the dishes were quite tasteless. They were served with dry bread. Definitely too expensive for the food, and they also charge a €3 kitchen fee.

Don't go here even if it's pouring rain! Definitely the worst food in Amsterdam. Never again! AVOID AT ALL POSSIBLE WAYS!

Pizza and pasta in here was absolutely beautiful crust was cooked to perfection and waiters was lovely expeshally with us being tourists and not quite understanding the menus they helped out it was nice to be welcomed in, can’t wait to fly back over December to go back

Very bad experience… the place and servers didn’t feel inviting…. food is below average and very oily. servers are extremely rude and forced all of us to order otherwise told subtly they might charge extra / put cover charges, which we have never heard before. We are a family and culturally share food to avoid wastage. They don’t publish drink’s menu and charge 8 euros for a glass of coke, a total rip off!! They are adjacent to The old Church restaurant. There is nothing Italian about the restaurant. Washrooms as well are unclean and felt unhygienic..will never return, was an awful experience

Worst service, bad food and the manager was racist. While there were quite a few seats available outside he wouldn’t give us but the other 2 foreigners were allowed to sit. The order took more than 45 mins after repeated requests to come to table. Risotto had no salt or spice and was very bland. Aglio olio was average and little salty and no pepper again. For the kind of service we received I wouldn’t recommend this place and wouldn’t go back.

We ordered five dishes. First, they brought three shrimp risottos, so spicy they looked like a YouTube challenge, and not a single word about spiciness was mentioned on the menu. We sent them back, and after only half an hour of gastronomic suspense, they came back. The other two dishes... well, we're still waiting for them. It seems the chef went fishing for the ingredients. The result: we all ate in turns, as if it were a poorly organized prison. The food was bad. The service was worse. The manager was worthy of a "how to scare away customers in 10 steps" manual.

We were there 11/08/25 The food was so-so. The Heineken beer tasted like a fake Our family occupied 4 tables and the owner of an Arab appearance walked around and watched us so that we would eat everything quickly and leave. We decided to order more food, but the waiter kicked us out, saying that this was the owner's decision... This owner kicked out a few more people while we were sitting there... The most negative experience I have had from a cafe in Amsterdam!

An unpleasant attendant was standing at the edge of the restaurant. Our 3-year-old urgently needed to go to the bathroom, and we politely asked. They were happy to pay for it. After two staff members were hesitant about letting us in, the attendant came and got his staff ready. I can understand not wanting to be a tourist toilet, but I don't know if that's the right thing to do.

Don’t go there. The food was mid. They don’t have a drinks menu and scam you with crazy prices. They didn’t even clean the glass and than gave it to the next customer, so it’s not very hygienic.

A small group of English people had also loudly asked for the bill several times. We ordered a pizza to share, but there were no cutlery or extra plates. In the end, the cigarette was thrown on the floor and stomped out. I had to ask for the bill twice before I was finally allowed to pay. I absolutely do not recommend this restaurant! P.S. The worst dining experience I’ve ever had in Amsterdam. The food took two hours to arrive and we ordered a pizza, salad, and bruschetta. There was no reason given for the delay and we saw others experiencing the same. A fellow customer offered to pay for our drinks in cash and instead of putting the full amount towards our drinks, the staff pocketed the remainder. Do not go here. Not worth the time, money spent, or the frustrating experience.

Avoid – a disgraceful experience A disgrace, from start to finish. The kind of place you regret ever having set foot in within the first few minutes. Orders taken quickly, sure… but after that? Nothing. A Coke billed at €8.50, delivered 20 minutes later after having to ask for it. A friend orders a beer? We tell him there isn't one. Ten minutes later, the other tables are served… with beers. The wait for the main courses is simply scandalous: more than 40 minutes for two plates, the third arrives almost 10 minutes longer. And brace yourself: a starter arrives after the main course, with the sauce following even later. It's a joke. The food isn't any better: pasta with (5) small scampi served with the clams still on, carbonara with no flavor, just cream and haphazardly cut ham. The plates? Disturbingly dirty. A real lack of hygiene. While I'm still eating, they're clearing the others' dishes without any hesitation. I've barely put my cutlery down when someone jumps on me to pay. And to top it all off, I leave my phone on the table, and a waiter takes it. If it hadn't been spotted in time, I would never have seen it again. 👉 Junk food, uncleanliness, dishonesty, and a total disregard for customers. This place has no place in the restaurant business.

The food, the spaghetti carbonara, was incredibly delicious, as was the bruschetta before it. The staff is friendly and it doesn't take long. Salt and pepper are available upon request. No table decorations.

They don’t provide a proper menu for drinks, then charge outrageous prices (3€ for tap water, 8.50€ for a small beer!). The staff is extremely rude and makes you feel uncomfortable for asking basic questions. They get annoyed if you ask for anything – like sharing a dish or even just clarifying the bill. You feel like you’re being punished for being polite. Food was below average, overpriced, and absolutely not worth it. No hospitality, no transparency, no respect for customers. I’ve eaten in dozens of places across Europe, and this was by far the most unpleasant. Don’t be fooled by the location – this is NOT authentic Italian and NOT worth your money. STAY AWAY!

‼️Restaurant to be avoided!‼️ There's no courtesy throughout the meal, and they show their displeasure if you dare request a change in the dishes. Please note that they don't have a drinks menu: expensive prices (8.5 for a pint of Heineken). At the end of the meal, they clear the plates before you've even finished eating (I still had my slice of pizza in my mouth), and then tell you to leave quickly as a reservation is arriving at the table. They put up a "reserved" sign and then remove the sign once you've left the restaurant, even though you're still in front of the place and can see what a rip-off the sign is. The toilets are dirty, with no bowl and no soap, and the stairs to get there are very steep, even dangerous. The dishes weren't very good, and the burrata pasta was far too salty. Restaurant to be avoided really, no sympathy and no politeness, very expensive prices.

Watch out , tourist trap ‼️ They don't give you a drink menu and then we paid 3 euros for a glass of water. 8,5 for a pint of Heineken. 98 euros for 4 person, for 4 microwave meals. You can't remove stuff from the pizza recipe. The waiters are not kind and stressing. We have been pushed to leave the table many times until they came back to say "sorry it gonna be booked.". Tourist trap! We wanted to grab a quick burger for €8.50 and left after two hours with a burger and €16 less. Drinks cost €8.50.

This place is absolutely terrible. The server was extremely incompetent, and splitting the bill between eight people was rocket science. He also kept looking at me like I was dessert. The food tasted like frozen food and took longer than applying for a driver's license. Please don't eat here, I'm probably sick by now.

The numerous negative reviews are unfortunately true. We ordered three pizzas, and both the toppings and the crust on all three were absolutely inedible. It's beyond us how such a simple dish could be prepared so poorly. Furthermore, a soft drink costs €8.50, and we waited almost an hour for the pizzas, even though there were only three tables occupied. Therefore, we recommend everyone avoid this restaurant.

The vegetarian pizza was delicious. Service was fast. The prices were reasonable.

Simply awful food. Got a calzone that's never even been in the same zip code with any spices. Dough couldn't be more tasteless and the vegetables were undercooked. The two pieces of salami I managed to locate were ok. You'd have to go out of your way to make food this bad.

Attracted by the friendly location and the affordable prices.. ultimately extremely disappointed.. one of the very unpleasant waiters, the dirty plates with the prints of the cooks' fingers... zero presentation, 5 onion rings scattered in a large plate swimming in spicy sauce etc.. And to top it all off: the glass of lemonade advertised as "medium" at €8.50. All this is a bit much... it's the first time this has happened to me and I've left such a negative review...

You can't really call pizza pizza. A zero in terms of taste. Neither the dough nor the sauce are convincing. Salami pizza was topped with discount salami slices that had no taste. Oh yes, the toilet could also use an update or at least a cleaning

When we wanted to use the toilet we were rudely told that we had to pay. Of course it wasn't a problem for us, but the way the waitress hit on us in the shop in front of other guests wasn't acceptable at all.

Help! The cleanliness is a disaster. The stairs to the toilet are a highlight. When you go to the toilets you get a look into the kitchen. We should have read the reviews beforehand! Hygiene - none! The food was mediocre and the service very distant. There is no drinks menu (only soft drinks and beer). So in the end you are very shocked at the prices! Over €8 for a beer is quite a number. We can definitely recommend the restaurant!

This shop has nothing to do with pizza or pasta bars. I had a "Pizza Funghi". It came fresh from the freezer! Pizza warmed/lukewarm, cheese not melted and a few raw mushrooms thrown on it later. The dough is mushy and has the same consistency as you would find in the freezer. The herbs on top are reminiscent of a delicious Italian pizza - but puff cake! I didn't eat the pizza. My husband ate spaghetti seafood and he got sick afterwards. Everything comes from the freezer and is “spiced up” with simple tricks. The cutlery only comes to the table after the meal, although that seems completely unimportant now. Funny how the locals get “good food”. Probably because we tourists won't eat there anymore anyway. AND WE WILL NOT DO THAT ANYMORE VOLUNTARILY. This is not a pizza and pasta bar but a juice shop, an impudence and an impudence. You can rate one star as 0 stars.

A pretty average place. Not a bad choice, pretty average. So what you see is what you get. Price, reasonable, food ok, service friend'ish. So you won't go wrong with this restaurant, but don't expect a wow. By the church, so good views.

Excellent welcome from the staff. The cat that slept on the chair next to me while we ate dinner was amazing. The background of Spanish music is pleasant. Thanks to this Italian restaurant, I was able to taste the very famous Sofia Loren pasta, a delight for the palate; the chicken inside the pasta combined very well with the mushrooms and created a sublime creaminess. The pizza perfectly represented Italian style and cuisine, the garlic inside the margherita was a touch of class, almost like a gourmet pizza; the vintage wooden cutting board, on which the pizza was placed, gave greater flavor and that hint of woody seasoning, typical of Italian pizza. I recommend it to everyone, especially Italians!

Restaurant out of the ordinary, literally crazy. The Sophia Loren pasta is highly recommended as it is very reminiscent of the typical flavors of Crotta D'Adda, the location is reminiscent of the Jafaar Baazar in Cairo in front of the majestic pyramids. Dinner in the company of a pleasant, very gentle cat. Staff: the best you can find in Copacabana. Experience to try.
