Warung Spang Makandra 2 in Osdorp-Midden

The roti is okay, but not enough potatoes, chicken pieces and long beans are added. Way too much cabbage and 1 egg that doesn't taste like egg. The sauce is also scarce and this for 15 euros is quite scandalous. You also cannot pay by card and can only pay in cash and if you are unlucky, you also have to walk 15 minutes to a card machine if the evening shop nearby is closed. Furthermore, we received our meals 45 minutes later while new customers had their food earlier? This really doesn't make any sense. The saoto soup was liquid puke and had no taste. If you eat here in the restaurant, it is not really appropriate that the woman behind the counter constantly shouts at the boss "mootje mootje", it ruins the entire atmosphere and it irritates you especially if you want to eat quietly. They also have a cash register that is hardly used as the owner has to keep going back and forth to give change. Please also change your name because there is nothing Surinamese about your cuisine.

Really really nasty. And you can only pay in cash. Literally waited an hour for the food. The toilet is so dirty and there is food everywhere that has not been cleaned up. I will honestly never go here again.

Friendly man behind the cash register. But you can't use your debit card if I want to go to a night shop and get cash. Food has really deteriorated. Two toppings weren't even on the dish. And some things could no longer be prepared. I have to be honest and say that it was 9:00 PM. Disappointing and therefore the last time for a while.

Delicious food, especially for the price, was my reaction five years ago. Today nothing remains of that and that started as soon as we arrived: there was almost no one in the shop. Today I got chicken noodles and satay at Spang Makranda Osdorp. Bami was not seasoned well and was still light in color. Sate also had no taste. I will never go to Spang in Osdorp again. Quality and service have deteriorated sharply, which is sad.

I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. When I went in to order, I was told that I could only take my food to go, and dining in was not allowed for me. However, shortly after, I noticed other customers being allowed to dine in without any issues. This left me feeling unwelcome and discriminated against. I hope the management addresses this behavior and ensures that all customers are treated equally. Discrimination has no place in a business that serves the public. and i end up eating in the car

They open at 11am, so you want to order something at 2pm and they don't have any food yet. The staff leaves you standing there, the portions are small and expensive and you can only pay in cash. AS good as they were, they have been that bad in recent months.

Food is no longer what it used to be, last time the egg in the roti was already a few days old and the lamb was crusty. The service and atmosphere are very brief/businesslike and they prefer that you take your food straight away. Too bad, in the past I would have given them five stars. Probably they have changed the kitchen staff/cook.

Sorry but what a dilapidated building this is. I literally counted 8 spiders, including web, where we were sitting. Part of their menu is only available to order from a certain time, but this is not indicated anywhere. The food is quite tasty, but not tasty enough to overlook the poor hygiene and disinterested employees.

And since Corona we have experienced that sometimes they have dawet and sometimes they don't. Bakabana was good. Nasi satay was fine despite yesterday's rice. Saoto soup could have had a little more flavor, but the flavor enhancer had to be refilled and the person who did that was not there. What I think is a shame is that you can also look at the dirty dishes at the counter. And they used to sell 0% beer. But it does contain a negligible percentage of alcohol. Still, compliments for taking that off the list.

Friendly young man at the cash register, was embarrassed to tell me there were no snacks. I just came for the satay and telo pffff. Still, chicken rice, whiter rice was on the hard side. Much forgotten Rice and nasi were pebbles. Forgot an entire dish. NEVER AGAIN I strongly advise against it if you love Surinamese food. There is a chance that you will get a bad image of Hindu food.

Ontzettend slechte service! Veelste veel tafels personeel kan het duidelijk niet aan. Wij hebben ruim 2 uur moeten wachten op ons eten! Elke keer was het nog 5 min nog 5 min. 5 minuten werden 2 uur. Meneer bood z’n excuses aan maar vervolgens werden wij weer keihard genegeerd. Vervolgens kregen wij eindelijk ons eten, dit was lauw en droog! Ons avondje uit compleet verpest! Personeel leek het niet te boeien volle mep moeten betalen en hun zakken zijn gevuld! SCHANDALIG!!

Very rude there and food is very disappointing. What an insult to Surinamese/Javanese cuisine. I don't often write a bad review, but I think this is too bad for words. No pepper and half of it wasn't there or you must be a beautiful woman!! And it wasn't fresh and way too salty. What was once such a good tent is now gone!!

Delicious nasi/bami rames. Very large portion where you can almost eat with two people. Also tasty roti. Self-service. Atmosphere is ok.

As a family we have been ordering for years with complete satisfaction, but unfortunately not anymore today. They have become more expensive and the portions have been halved. For three portions you actually get a child's portion!!! and that for almost 50.00 euros. The food remains tasty of course...just too expensive.

Het spijt me zeer. Ben een aantal keer naar deze restaurant geweest ervanuitgaande dat dit een andere filiaal is van een gelijknamige tent in de binnenstad. Maar het spijt me om te zeggen maar deze tent is een kleine aanfluiting voor de Surinaamse keuken. Van stukjes bouillonblok tussen het eten tot oude stinkende olie. Kip die druipt van de olie. Deze tent valt eigenlijk onder de categorie fastfood. Het is jammer maar helaas zijn er vandaag de dag weinig goede Surinaamse tenten te vinden in de stad. Jammer

Eten gaat wel maar wc en de rest van inrichting zo oud heel smoezelig de wc zo goor hij mag wel eens inversteren in de zaak ook voor de deur schoonmaken

Heerlijk gegeten bij Warung Spang Makandra! De Warung Spang Makandra Special was een goede mix van smaken. De loempia was goed gevuld. En de saoto was heerlijk! Ook de grootte van de porties zijn goed, zie foto. Prijs-kwaliteit ratio is prima, zeker in vergelijking met andere restaurants.

While the roti was alright, it wasn’t good enough to label an €11,50,- price tag. €0,50 more compared to Roopram, which has the best roti imo. is The plate was rather hard , but, overall It was alright. The waiting times is also something that could be improved on.

Amazing food and the two guys working the front were total bro's, letting me charge my phone, giving awesome food recommendations, and even drawing me a map to get to my next destination. Thanks and hope to visit again soon!

1 portie zo lekker zo groot, we kregen het met ons 2-tjes niet op.

Wij komen uit Enschede, en als we in Amsterdam zijn bezoeken we een filiaal van Spang Makandra om te genieten van Surinaams eten . Al zeker een jaar of 30 zijn wij daar klant .Vaak bij filiaal Gerard Doustraat en soms in filiaal Osdorp. Elke keer overtreft het eten onze verwachtingen weer ! Deze X naar filiaal Osdorp geweest en daar troffen we de altijd goedlachse eigenaar Glenn die tegenwoordig daar bijna altijd aanwezig is . Glenn is een goede gastheer , altijd bezig met z'n werk en met de klanten een goede band heeft . Een aanrader als je wilt genieten van de authentieke Javaans/Surinaamse keuken .

Nasi was aangebrand. Mijn kinderen hebben niet goed gegeten. Telo en saoto waren lekker.

Een flinke poos hier niet geweest. Bestelde mijn vertrouwde Bami kip sate. De kip stokjes zijn gigantisch gekrompen en bijna verdubbeld in prijs.

Echt een aanrader voor heerlijke Indonesiche maaltijden.
