Pizzeria Antonello in Franeker

Charming and pleasant restaurant, unfortunately it will be closed from this coming Sunday. Thank you for the many delicious meals.

I went to the pizzeria with my daughter. Time seems to have stood still here. The interior isn't very inviting, in my opinion. The welcome was poor, and we had to wait a long time for our drinks. The Pizza Quattro Stagioni was very different from what I'm used to; it wasn't nicely decorated, and the crust and base were black in places. The cutlery was almost impossible to cut the pizza with. When we were offered the dessert menu, we were told the price was incorrect. The waitress immediately left without saying what the correct price was!? It's a bit of a shame.

Great price for great pizza. Tiramisu was nice too. Certainly one of the more affordable places to ear. The interior is worn though and we were bothered by fruit flies.

I thought I could order lasagna at an Italian restaurant. The lasagna served looked like scraped-together leftovers. The crust was cold, then reheated without any improvement whatsoever. I'd advise the chef to spend some time in an Italian kitchen. The sauce is far too salty, the ground meat is sparse, and the lasagna sheets are nowhere to be found. When I asked if it tasted good when the container, still three-quarters full of the sludge, was removed, and I mentioned that I'd eaten much better lasagna, the answer was completely off the mark. ..."That's good." Great, we'll never eat at Antonello's again. The previous reviews weren't great, but unfortunately, giving the benefit of the doubt backfired this time.

Very unpleasant experience last week. A German couple wanted to pay and discreetly questioned the price of a carafe of sparkling water. The owner started to become rude quite quickly with a considerable raised voice, which made it not really pleasant for us to eat. Because a normal discussion with the owner was not possible, the foreign customer at our table asked if the requested price for the carafe (which amounted to a price of one and a half times the price of a pizza!) was normal in the Netherlands. Because the price was really ridiculous in our eyes, we tried to mediate. What was also not nice is that you do not get a price list of the drinks. Both the owner and the waiter became very rude, in our group there was a gentleman in his mid-80s who was even rudely interrupted by the owner. Very disappointing and completely unnecessary. So not recommended..

Reported by phone that it is not edible. No solution received. Not recommended. Super bad.

Great pizzeria to eat/take away a delicious pizza for a great price.

Had dinner here last weekend with a group of 50 people. A fantastic evening with delicious food. Management and service were great! Friendly and hospitable staff. Discussed the possibilities in advance and made agreements about them. Pizzas were all delicious. In short, it was a truly unforgettable evening for us.

Last ordered here years ago. Then I had to wait an hour and have the order redone because the pizzas were completely burnt. Now, after years, I tried again... Ordered pizzas and asked about the wine list. A cheerful lady said that they only have house wine from an unknown grape variety. Asked several times if she could recommend us a good smooth wine. According to the lady there was nothing other than the house wine. Ordered. The pizzas were fine, but with little flavor. No idea what kind of house wine they sell. I think the bottle had been open for two weeks... or something like that. Not to drink!!! Very sour. And then we notice that next to our table there is a sign... "Taste our new wine varieties". With a rack full of various wine bottles on the counter! 👀🍷. Incomprehensible! I just think it's sad. It may be due to the employees, the motivation to do your best... or the management to properly instruct staff... But it can be hospitable if you have a catering establishment. Right?

Didn't have a good experience. The pizzas were supposed to be ready at 7:00 PM, which turned out to be 7:30 PM. At 7:20 PM our 7 pizzas were ready, but the 8th had been forgotten, so it still had to be made. The bottom of the pizzas were burnt in some places, greasy pizzas and things that we wanted off were on them.

Very tasty pizza, fast service, friendly atmosphere and staff.

Atmosphere is cozy inside, service is nice and quick. It was also wonderfully warm. However, this time the pizzas were not quite what we expected, in particular one of our ordered pizzas had black edges and that spoiled the taste. It was returned and it had been removed somewhat, but nevertheless we were not completely satisfied. Salad and bread beforehand were delicious, as was the wine. Too bad about the pizza. Ate here once before and we had a better experience. Hopefully better next time...

Pizzas were delicious but the pasta was disappointing. Tasty desserts, nicely packaged

The decoration/decor is cozy. When asked if they had olive oil and salt with the bread, the answer was a resounding no. The spicy pizzas were tasty but certainly not spicy. Fine for a quick pizza, but don't expect too high.

The only Italian restaurant where they don't have olive oil. After entering, they want to know what we want to drink. When asked what beer do you have on tap, the answer is: we don't have tap. Then just ask for the wine list. They don't have that either. Red or white house wine. The red one then. As a pre-order we order a bread board. The question is, do you have olive oil with that? Answer: We don't have olive oil. Huh? An Italian restaurant without olive oil. That must be unique. As a main course we would like the spicy version of the pizzas as indicated on the menu. When the pizzas arrive, the edge of 2 pizzas is black. If that is a problem, they would like to bake two new pizzas. Very special. The taste of the pizzas is also good, but they are certainly not spicy. An experience richer to go home, with the knowledge that this visit to this pizzeria was the last. And it could so easily be better.

Ordered and picked up a pizza here for the first time. 1 ingredient did not match what was stated in the description...instead of chicken it had ham on it... But... despite this, it was a delicious pizza good crust too. Definitely worth ordering here again or sitting down and eating... That's why 5 stars...

Super tasty authentic Italian pizza (made by Italian) and tasty salad for wife. Cheerful and pleasant service. I would love to have a pizzeria like that close to home!!

Just a good Pizzeria, where you can quickly eat a Pizza. Nice owner. What you see is what you get.

Tijdens onze vakantie in Franeker in juli 2024 zijn we op woensdagavond aangeland bij Antonello. Geweldig lekker gegeten, voor een hele vriendelijke prijs, kortom veel waar voor je geld! Aanrader als je in Franeker bent!

Ordered the spaghetti carbonara. Received spaghetti with white sauce. Has nothing to do with carbonara, it is more of a béchamel sauce. perhaps made for Dutch taste.

Food is tasty, but service inexperienced

Authentic Italian, simple and therefore very tasty. Super crispy pizza base, salad fresh in taste, very tasty. Pizza from REAL Italian. Top 👍👍.

Delicious food, good service and nice people in one of the most beautiful places in Franeker.

Normally I order here, but I recently had a pizza in the restaurant after work. How delicious that was!

Ate with my grandson, pizzas tasted good, well filled, good service and delicious ice cream.

Pizza heerlijk vooral de bodem is fantastisch. Sowieso snel geholpen en voor ik de wijn op had was de pizza al klaar. Zoveelste keer top service! Nog een +je mooie vrouwen in de bediening.

Een geweldige ervaring om bij deze pizzeria te eten. Ten eerste lekker warm in de zaak en de smaak was raak van de pizza. Ook de ontvangst en bediening was vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Ook het nagerecht was lekker. Een kleine kaart maar ontzettend lekker. Wij komen graag terug

Goed eten en niet te kleine pizza

Afgelopen zaterdag lekker gegeten. Broodplankje vooraf, en de Pizza salami, spaghetti waren heerlijk. Na de tijd nog een ijsje, maar helaas waren de kinderen van ons wat teleurgesteld, er stond een olifanten ijsje op de kaart maar die werd niet geleverd.

Heerlijke pizza's, voor een fijne prijs, goede service en klantvriendelijk.

Wir haben Margarete Pizza bestellt und es war wirklich sehr lecker 😋

We hebben het laten bezorgen want er was zo veel regen! Eten was erg lekker!

Pizza gehaald zit vrijwel niks op. Zonde vaker klacht gemeld. Maar werd boos gereageerd door de eigenaar. Nu was dit toch wel de laatste keer

Echt super veel ui op de pizza pollo waardoor de plakjes kipfilet niet meer te proeven waren. Ook de pizza prosciutto was niet echt geweldig.

Pizzas waren compleet verbrand. En dat gebeurt hier vaker. Maar toch gaan ze in de doos en weg. Wij komen hier niet meer.

Mooi gelegen en gezellig ingericht. Het was niet druk, dus hoefden we nergens op te wachten. Bier uit flesje; prima. Voorgerecht: brood met3 smeersels, smaakte prima. We hadden dat nog niet op of de bestelde pizza's werden al gebracht. Pizza's waren alle rond de EUR 15, en bleken zeer royaal belegd met groentes en vlees. Smaakte goed.

Een heerlijke pizza gegeten. Met een wijntje dat de kwaliteit van menig restaurant overtreft en dat voor een prijs van €4,00 Wij zijn dat de laatste tijd niet tegengekomen. De sfeer is: een authentieke pizzeria vanuit de jaren dat de pizzeria in Nederland ontstond. Wij vonden dit leuk.

Heerlijk gegeten, ondanks dat het "druk" was vlot bediend door gastvrij personeel. Voor herhaling vatbaar

Volgens hun Facebook pagina was een van onze pizza's een speciaal van de week maar we hebben volle prijs betaald. Ze zei dat het een uur bezorgtijd was maar was een anderhalf uur wachten. Pizza's waren oke een niet zo warm. Meestal zijn wij erg blij met onze bestelling maar dit keer was minder.

Gezellige pizzeria met behoorlijk wat zitplaatsen. De pizza smaakte prima en de jongeman in de bediening was erg attent en vriendelijk.

Erg lekkere pizza en drankje gehad met drie personen voor net iets meer dan 50 euro. Leuk ingericht, vriendelijke bediening en makkelijk in de buurt van de pizzeria parkeren.

We hadden pizza besteld, wat we wel eens vaker doen met werk. Het is nog nooit goed gegaan of op tijd. Nu moesten we het zelf halen, zou 18 uur klaar staan. Nou, ze gingen er om 18 nog in en dat terwijl we minstens een uur vooraf al besteld hadden. Collega's kregen een grote bek toen ze vroegen waarom er wel bezorgen op de site stond maar niet deden.. tevens had de spaghetti carbonara penne en de bestelde penne spaghetti. We hebben ze nu meerdere kansen gegeven maar er is altijd wat..klopt niet of te laat maar die grote bek is de druppel geweest. Ik weet dat klanten ook niet alles kunnen zijn, en ja ik weet wat het is eigen zaak, maar een grote bek is onacceptabel voor een grote klant!!

Super pizzeria gezellig en een heerlijke pizza's

Heute Abend 2 mal Pizza und 2 mal Pasta bestellt. Wir haben abgeholt. Die bestellten Essen waren nach 20 Minuten fertig und sehr lecker.

Goede pizzas, pasta ook lekker en ruim voldoende

Zeer lekkere spaghetti carbonara gegeten, zeer vriendelijke en snelle bediening, lekker rosé wijntje (primitivo ipv merlot, vond ik niet erg ;-)), kortom een aanrader wat mij betreft !

Lekkere Pizza, bediening kon iets beter.

Altijd top en zo niet wordt het altijd nietjes op gelost

Het eten was echt heerlijk super leuke bediening kom er zeker vaker

Op zich was de smaak niet slecht van de pizza's die we genuttigd hebben ... maar teveel beleg waardoor de pizzabodem wel leek op een natte pannekoek bodem
