It’s overpriced for the food you’re getting. I ordered lunch with a friend: american pancakes. The jam was cheap stored bought and the pancakes themselves weren’t as fluffy as proper american pancakes. It was okay, but for 15 euros they could’ve done a lot better.

Found out today that PK Utrecht is closed after July 27 I am curious what PK Utrecht will be called after the opening of the new place Of course, I will stop by again after the opening of the new place for a drink and to enjoy the Oudegracht.

Delicious coffee and fried egg, really a big portion! Nice atmosphere

It is nice sitting by the canals where I grew up. At this place, if you order half a chicken, you literally get half a chicken for €25. No lettuce leaf or tomato on the side; you can order fries separately. It doesn't say on the menu that they aren't included, but for €7 you get a small bowl of fries with a tiny bit of mayonnaise. Is this what the hospitality industry has become here? The chicken itself was okay, but asking that price for it is a bit excessive. The lady who served us offered her apologies. Of course, she can't help it. But this is just really bad business and taking advantage of the people passing by. Such a shame!

We had a good evening as a team group, we had menu I and the taste of the food was good,we did love the burgers (beef and Vega option) and the cheesecake, good feedback also with the chicken satay and the lemon desert that they have as a second option in the menu. PK just makes me happy. The tea was so delicious that I ordered it myself. Today I ordered something other than the Rijksspecial and wasn't disappointed. The kitchen is quick, the staff friendly, and the atmosphere calm and relaxed. I love coming here.

I had a very stylish break at a restaurant located along the canal in Utrecht's old town. The dessert (cheesecake) ordered by the person who was showing me around Utrecht was delicious, so I was able to relax and enjoy my meal.

Had a great lunch with a friend and my little daughter. It was certainly tasty, but I found it very expensive for what you got. The gentleman who greeted us was very friendly and knowledgeable. The rest of the staff were also just nice, but the gentleman really stood out. :)

It was quite busy but I was helped reasonably quickly. The toilets could be cleaned a bit more often.

PK, formerly known as King Arthur. A beautiful and cozy spot for coffee, lunch, dinner, and drinks. Nice terrace, but it is also excellent to spend time inside. Wide selection of food and drinks. Excellent service (Wim). We will definitely be back soon to enjoy ourselves.

The food was unfortunately very disappointing. I ordered the spareribs and there was so much sauce on them that the spareribs were barely lukewarm. I thought I was getting tasty spareribs again after a long time, but it was a huge letdown. Not worth repeating, unfortunately.

Its a decent place to hangout with friends. It has a good choice of drinks and bites. You can also have lunch and dinner at the place. The prices are towards moderately expensive side. The service was great.

Delicious food, nice atmosphere, good service, worth repeating

Disappointing experience. High prices for low quality food. We were overcharged more than 15 Euros. Luckily, I noticed it after paying the bill. We got out money back, but not even a simple apology even though I tipped generously. I think they rely on high foot traffic in the area, don't really care about customer satisfaction.

I didn't like the food, which happens sometimes; it's a matter of taste. I left the food there, and no one asked if it was to my liking. They did ask other tables. When the table was cleared, they didn't ask, and neither did they when I was paying. A missed opportunity, unfortunately. That's what ultimately made it a negative experience for me.

Great restaurant for lunch. The quality varies. The sandwich was a bit dry last time. The atmosphere is pleasant. It's a shame the restrooms aren't clean, as I've been there several times.

We arrived early for Valentine's Day. We were already seated at our table at 5, but dinner wasn't served until 7. You'd think, "What's this?" but no. The cauliflower steak was so raw you couldn't even pierce it with a fork. The sirloin steak also seemed to consist entirely of fat. The food was also lukewarm. When we pointed this out, we were told, "Well, the chef has a set schedule. And then you have to pay €100. I really wouldn't recommend this."

A cozy restaurant with good food and a pleasant atmosphere, but the service could be a bit better. When it was quiet, it was manageable, but as it got busier, we were overlooked (despite the large group). We sat with the menu in front of us for at least half an hour to 45 minutes before finally making eye contact to take our order. Also, the toilets were all out of paper in the afternoon, and I had to get someone to refill them. I think a regular check-up every now and then is appropriate. All in all, not bad, but there's room for improvement.

What can you mess up on a sate and a plate of mushrooms? Well everything! The chicken tasted really badly prepared. It was cooked yess but tasted really bad. The mushrooms tasted cooked or out of a jar. We didn’t finish out plates only to fill our tummies somewhere else. And they didn’t ask when we finished payed 62 € and left. One time never again.

We went here for brunch and chose the American pancakes. A tasty brunch option in itself, but the experience was unfortunately disappointing. I asked if it was possible to replace the fried eggs with scrambled eggs. They couldn't accommodate this simple request, which I found very disappointing. Furthermore, we received pancakes that were clearly from the supermarket and not freshly made. For the price you pay here, I honestly think that's outrageous and far below expectations.

Very expensive. The main satay menu costs €24.95, and that includes one skewer of satay with some prawn crackers and a small portion of lukewarm fries. Service is fast, but rather impersonal. We'd just received our plate of food and hadn't even taken a bite when the lady who brought us our drinks immediately asked, "Is everything to your liking?"

Went here for lunch with work. The food looked good. But I had a br. Javanese chicken curry, which unfortunately lacked much flavor. It was also a bit dry, as it was chicken breast. My colleague had a br. pastrami, and to our surprise, the meat was warm/cooked. The bagel with crispy chicken and fried eggs looked good and tasted good too. All in all, I wouldn't go back, especially considering the sandwiches and bagels cost around €14 to €15! If you dare ask for it, it has to be right and truly delicious.

For the third year in a row, we've been here just before Christmas. Unfortunately, the sweet potato fries with Parmesan and truffle mayo are no longer on the menu. The nachos with dip are still available, and (despite the fact that we had a lot of nacho crumbs instead of those delicious triangles for dipping) they were delicious again (4 stars). It was busy, and the staff were completely overwhelmed; so it was just a matter of taking orders, placing them on the table, and moving on (2 stars). After dinner, we had to use the restroom, which clearly hadn't been attended to today. It was filthy, with no toilet paper, no hand towels, and an overflowing trash can where the paper had already been thrown next to it (hence the 2 stars). Next year, we'll probably try a different restaurant.

Great spot in Utrecht. Good location, lovely atmosphere, and friendly staff. We ate here with a group of 10, and the food was truly fantastic. I had the fish of the day, which is highly recommended (if you happen to be here on the same day ;)). I did buy extra fries, though, as they didn't come with anything else. It was also nice that there was a wide selection of drinks, which isn't always a given.

Our experience was very disappointing. The cappuccino was cold, and so were the croquettes we ordered. We received new ones, but unfortunately, the bread was very dry. The quality of the cappuccino was also poor, very watery. The staff offered a house drink to make up for it, which seemed polite, but when we checked the receipt at home, the drink was still on it. It's a shame about the experience. Not recommended.

Nice spot, but... The coffee was from a machine; it didn't even resemble espresso. The chocolate cake... not good. Maybe I'll go back for the cocktails, but not for the coffee.

I walked in at 20:40 and was greeted with a surprise look of seeing someone that showed up that late and was informed the restaurant closes soon but I have time for one drink (even though I later noticed it’s open till 22:00). I asked for a large beer and got a small one instead. Staff looked as though they already signed out.

Great atmosphere! The oyster mushroom curry was delicious. It could be improved by marinating the oyster mushrooms beforehand or adding some seasoning. The oyster mushrooms themselves didn't have much flavor.

At PK Bar & Kitchen on the Oudegracht in Utrecht, you'll be pleasantly surprised. From the moment you step inside, you'll feel welcomed. The location is charming. Even if you sit inside, you can admire the neighborhood through the large windows. The interior is stylish, with warm accents that create a cozy atmosphere. The dishes are beautifully presented, using fresh ingredients. The service is friendly and attentive. You might pay a little more than average for Utrecht, but you get what you pay for: flavorful dishes, excellent presentation, and a pleasant atmosphere.

Dear, It's not the atmosphere or friendly service that's the problem, but it's a shame to get bogged down in bureaucratic nonsense instead of celebrating the drinks culture. At 4:45 PM, we were eager to order a delicious drinks platter, and the prospect made our mouths water. However, we soon received the disappointing news that, to our great surprise, drinks platters were only available from 5:00 PM. This wasn't stated on the menu, which made our disappointment immense. We'd appreciate reimbursement for EMDR therapy. This is an absolute degradation of the drinks culture that should actually be celebrated. Finally, I'd like to mention that it's not a lack of friendly service, which, to make matters worse, is stuck in the loopholes of bureaucracy.

Conclusion: Solid food in a prime location. We came here for a quick dinner. The very large, two-story dining room was practically completely empty. Everyone sat outside, including us, overlooking the canal. The service was quick and friendly, but seemed a bit inexperienced. Our questions about the ingredients in some dishes couldn't be answered at first, but a colleague eventually came to our aid. The food itself (we had the vegan burger and panzanella) was surprisingly good, though not cheap. The restrooms were clean. We paid by card.
